known by only his last name, nylo is an air elemental monk in search of answers and the remnants of his clan.
nylo has heard stories of what should have been his home. a thriving elven enclave among whistling foliage, its people were scattered by the whim of the breeze. originally a revered call to adventure that signified entering adulthood, a strange version of the breeze wracked the enclave and scattered the clan across the lands, on dire, purposeless whims.
as a young elf journeying alone, nylo survived by accepting the changing breeze as part of himself. he's friendly, energetic, and committed to going with the flow. he may seem laissez faire, almost fickle in his choices, a result of keeping his own goals close to his chest. but at the end of the day, he's happy to dip in and out of adventuring parties and quests as long as your journey will take you far away from wherever here is.
you can find nylo wherever the breeze blows. mountaintop meditation spots, raucous celebrations, or most reliably, the funerals of mysterious elven strangers.

wrote a little separate lore post for nylo because this blog is probably going to be mostly about him (and the campaign), but honestly he's one of my favourite dnd builds ive ever made!
i originally built him as a support character to the rest of the party who are. very squishy and mostly new players. every mechanic choice (class, race, discipline) was made for reasons of 1. lets make sure we can actually do damage and 2. i need a stabilising cantrip because we do not have a proper healer. but in the end the mechanics shaped a really interesting character! that's what's really fun about dnd for me, how storytelling and game mechanics intersect in such a fun way that's then brought to life once you sit down with other people to craft an adventure together.
and yes the cantrip was needed session one. rip
