okay i just finished squid games, here are some of my initial thoughts,

SQUID GAME SPOILERS, LEAVE IF YOU HAVENT WATCHED IT.

ali deserved so much better, i cant get over his death, like he was so kind to everyone and even offered to help sang woo out so they both could get out of there alive. ali already had the win secured, but he went the extra mile to help sang woo.

ji yeong was literally so sweet, in thirtyish minutes she built a bond with sae-byeok and they were obviously kinda close. the way she died was heartbreaking and it was super sad. she was an underrated character.

sae-byeok was everything, she deserved the whole world. the way she died was so heartbreaking, all she wanted the money for was to be able to have her family back together again, i understand sang woo needed that money but he killed too many people he built trust with to get it.

old man WAS THE SWEETEST THING OML. when i thought he died in the marble game i was crushed, how could they kill off a poor old man? i was truely devastated. he built such a sweet relationship with gi-hun it was really adorable. i loved him to shreds. when i saw him in the end i was overjoyed, but he died? when he explained what happened and thanked gi-hun for making him feel something i broke down. all he ever wanted was to feel something before he died.

mi-nyeho wasnt a bad character per say, but how did she get away with cheating with all those men and cameras? surely someone saw her. i do respect her for taking down deok-su, he was a dick, but she wasnt all sunshine before, i did enjoy her role in the show.

gi-hun was a great character, and i enjoyed seeing his growth. but why didnt he use his BILLIONS to help out his daughter? he lost so many people for nothing, he isnt even using the money. i do understand he feels guilty but he could've had his daughter set up for life. also why did he go back to the games? hes obviously traumatized by them so why go back? theres nothing for you there. i only see him going back as a way for him to try and take down the creators.
