      SHE DID NOT WISH FOR IMMORTALITY .

                   but  survival  was  an  instinct  she  had  grown  into .   and  rey  had  excelled  at  it .   death  was  a  fact  of  life ,   she  had  seen  the  effects  of  it’s  grasp .   more  so  an  inevitability  rather  than  a  choice .   but  she  had  also  seen  the  effects  of  it’s  denial ,   drunk  on  power  and  hubris  one  could  picture  themselves  IMMORTAL .   but  that  was  a  foolish  delusion ,   one  that  snoke  had  succumbed  to .   now  all  that  remained  of  him  lay  severed  across  the  throne  no  longer  his .   the  shock  of  it  falls  on  the  jedi  only  now ,   once  the  fight  is  over ,   and  the  two  traitors  to  both  their  factions  remain  silent  in  it’s  wake .   it’s  not  until  ben  mutters  the  words  that  rey  turns  hazel  eyes  towards  him .   friend  or  foe  ?   it  was  impossible  to  tell  among  the  ruins . 

                  ❛   it’s  what  we  leave  behind  that  matters .   ❜   hope  blossoms  in  her  words  as  she  pins  her  unlikely  companion  with  a  pleading  gaze ,   ❛   come  back  with  me .   ❜

“Shh, don’t scream! I’m not trying to attack you!”

��           “I suppose your Saber is drawn just for SHOW … and not with the intended use of ATTACKING me. I know what you’re capable of, Kylo Ren, and I won’t take any risks when it comes to you.” A sigh followed but deep down she did not feel any immediate threat or concern. He was more than capable of surprise attacks but there was a nagging feeling, something in the back of her mind that forced her to stand down and relax - ever so slightly. “What do you want?”

It was easier to let Kylo handle things when it came to politics, most of the time, and though Rey didn't hesitate to interrupt to correct him when she thought it necessary. Still, usually she remained quiet, and this meeting had been no exception, other than the fact that one of the women in the meeting was far too friendly for her liking and seemed to take her silence as encouragement. Gritting her jaw, knowing how things would be handled on Jakku but not here, she sought his hand with hers, holding tightly to remind him that she was there too.

Nope! Judging by the url I’m guessing it was a star wars blog? I’ve never even seen star wars and all i know about it is yoda, Chewbacca, and darth vader.

                    the  jedi  stands  tall  before  the  kneeling  knight  with  humming  weapon  poised  to  kill .   but  something  stays  her  hand ,   a  sentimentality  of  days  gone  by  where  refuge  was  found  in  the  other’s  presence .   HOPE  was  a  dangerous  thing  and  he  had  given  her  the  promise  of  companionship                     that  she  would  not  be  so  alone  anymore .   rey  was  foolish  enough  to  believe  it .   and  despite  the  betrayals  and the  hatred  that  had  grown  from  their  wayward  paths ,   her  hands  tremble  under  the  weight  of  her  decision .

Letting out an indignant yelp as she landed on his shoulder, Rey huffed out a loud breath as she settled onto her new spot. “I can walk just fine!”

                 ❝   Benjamin? ❞   Seeing  him  outside  of  the  Academy  was  a  very  rare  occasion,  but  within  the  halls  of  Baxter  High  was  even  more  PECULIAR  to  the  young  witch.  ❝   What  are  you  doing  here? Shouldn’t you be in Demonology? ❞

“Don’t look at me like that, with those eyes.”

              “What way am I looking at you? These are MY eyes so I’m not sure how else I’m supposed to look at you…” She wasn’t entirely sure what he meant by the comment but her eyes remained locked to him, forever studying his every movement and expression. This was the first time they had been alone since their bond begun, that force pulling them towards each other. It was still very strange to her but something that didn’t worry her, if anything it encouraged her to show more interest in the other.
