thinking about reid's parentification again. hh. someone yell with me.
#people talk a lot about his daddy issues and abandonment issues#but i feel like the mommy issues sometimes get neglected because his and diana's relationship is at its core a good one#and the issues in it are largely william's fault so the issues born of his relationship with diana are lumped in with the daddy issues#if that makes sense#but like. the parentification that followed the abandonment fucked him up too and sometimes i feel like thats missed#ofc reid is probably the most talked about character in the fandom#so this still gets discussed more than the other characters' less discussed issues#im rambling now time to hit post#nvm sidenote i hate the phrases “daddy issues” and “mommy issues” and i hated typing them <//3#not fic#spencer reid#criminal minds
