So...
Like, we all realise that once Murkoff cuts their losses with Project Lathe 2, the Prime Assets and Expops are all being fucking put down, right???
Like I know this is probably obvious but like, since the Reagents are being made into Sleeper Agents or hooked up to the Morphogenic Engine or whatever else the CIA/Murkoff want them for, once Lathe 2 is done for (which sounds like it's happening soon with what's being said by Doris/Nurse Barlowe/Noakes and the documents we can find), they're just gonna fucking kill everyone else 🧍 they can't have witnesses, everyone knows that, there's like an understanding that everyone there is going to die but like surely SOMEONE gets out of this alive??? Like Noakes seems to think that our Reagent can do it, and obviously when you Rebirth it kinda proves you can't, but idk, I guess I have hope that someone gets out okay??? Like escapes somehow??? I know Murkoff and the CIA can't be brought to justice or anything, but like, I don't think I can handle this fate for EVERYONE

Everybody say "Hi Lucy" 👋
Template | Took a crack at the Reagent oc template! It's a lot of fun! Information on Lucy below :)
Lucy has been around the sleep rooms for a while, keeps to himself and only really cares about possessions he can keep on his person - which, to the layman, looks like he's open to sharing.
Because he doesn't often get attached to other Reagents, Lucy is quite a good fit to teach starting teams. More inclined towards surviving a trial over making friends, it makes him a good role model and new subjects catch on quick. Due to the amount of times he's done trials in the Thin Blue Line, Coyle has become accustomed to his presence, yet still tries to kill him.
Most of the time, Lucy comes off as aloof and calm, leading new teams with little to no communication, showing and doing rather than explaining. Though, he will throw bricks and bottles at Ex-Pop and Prime Assets that get too close.
Has a crush on Nurse Barlow, though it is not reciprocated.
He will interact with other reagents, but mostly non verbally.

The thought vaguely occurs to her one day when she’s looking in the mirror. Her memory was getting worse, but she never forgot the scars he had given her. What he had done to her afterwards… during… before. She could just stop going in there. Maybe he’d forget about her. Maybe he’d find someone else.
Such a thought makes her sick. She tries to convince herself that it’s better for other Reagents if he fixates on her for their own safety… and totally not because her one source of normalcy—as awful as it is—would be disrupted. Night Hunter chases her, he catches her, and then… well…
Shame has her crawling back into bed under the rough sheets. Maybe she wouldn’t do any Trials today.
Closing her eyes only triggers a sensation of pressure along her lower back, like a knife. Or calloused fingers. She was going to have to ask Nurse Barlow to temporarily increase her dosage again…

Maggie Smith and Michelle Dockery in Downton Abbey (2010) S2E3
July 1917. As Isobel's plan to turn Downton into a hospital unites upstairs and downstairs in protest, O'Brien persuades Cora to make Thomas the hospital manager. Ethel enjoys the patients' attention whilst Edith earns respect as an auxiliary nurse. Chauffeur Branson, extolling the Russian Revolution, intends to be a conscientious objector but is rejected on medical grounds as former footman William, on his way to the trenches, proposes to Daisy. As Lang finds his trauma interferes with his work Anna discovers Bates working in a local pub. He tells her that Vera has been unfaithful and he is hopeful of a divorce. Violet and Rosamund learn that Carlisle coerced a reluctant Lavinia into exposing government secrets by using her father's debt - thus the engagement is still on.
*Chauffeur Branson was rejected for military service due to a heart murmur which he called Mitral Valve Prolapse. A murmur would have indeed kept him out of the military but the particular disease called Mitral Valve Prolapse wasn't discovered until 1966 by Dr. John Brereton Barlow.

"Salem's Lot," Wilhelm replied, as he reached over to the end table beside his chair, grabbing the book to pass to Emily; a black paperback edition with an eerie face printed on it, a drop of bright red blood dripping from the mouth an eye-catching speck of color on the otherwise eerie and mysterious cover, giving no hint as to the contents of the book, and what horrors awaited the reader.
"See, a young man comes home to his old hometown and finds out that someone bought the creepy old house on the hill," he explained; although he wasn't the biggest horror fan, it was clear he was enjoying it. "And the town has tons of skeletons in its closet that I think this Mr. Barlow character is going to exploit. It's very scary, it's made me sorta sleep with one eye open lately! I won't spoil it for you, lass, if you'd like to read it, but it's very good, I'm curious to know what the rest of this fellow's writing is like!"
"One of the nurses at the office read Carrie," June commented, adding, "She said it was frightening, but sad as well. I think Randall has it on hold at the library."
"I do," Randall nodded. "I saw the film, and I get a feeling the book's going to be very similar. I felt very sorry for Carrie-she was a tragic monster."
And besides-he could relate, having had to deal with his fair share of bullies when he was in high school...

I know everyone else's Reagent OCs are like, super well established, a lot of folks know of each others OCs and they're pretty popular on here and no one knows a damn thing about Roxy
But like, do y'all think certain Reagent OCs share a Sleep Room??
There's gotta be more than one, canonically speaking, there's only I think 16 rooms inside the Sleep Room. Obviously, we all see Doris, Nurse Barlowe and Noakes, but I imagine that they are characters in OUR (our being our Reagent plus the Reagents inside the Sleep Room we spawn in) Sleep Room and there are different Nurses and Engineers in the others. I doubt there would be a Doris in another Sleep Room, maybe one or two others with a similar deal, but not her exactly.
Because I've named Roxy's Sleep Room 'Sleep Room 08', but like, maybe there's 'Sleep Room: Heart' or 'Sleep Room: Diamond' like the keys, i honestly don't know.
But like, yeah, do you guys think certain Reagent OCs would gel well together? Or would they cause conflict? Would they share a Sleep Room and know of each other? Or would it be easier if it was just your character/s on their own?

&. ❝ there’s a whole lot you’re not telling me. ❞ (for emily) | @alicemarion
Tumblr media
The blonde nurse is preoccupied as Alison speaks, humming away to one of the tunes the Reagents and other medical staff often hear quietly playing behind the pharmacy counter. Nurse Barlow acts as if she's no clue what she could mean, but her smile and the glitter in her eyes are all too knowing as she carefully begins packing away the current round of Alison's treatment.

"Oh, sweetpea, that's simply because there's many things you needn't ever concern yourself with." is the simple, dismissive response. "All you need to focus on is yourself, and feeling better, and making sure you don't go sneaking about in places you could get hurt or break something." the nurse gives her pointed eyes; she hears the guards and staff when they talk, and Emily has heard quite a few of them who work in strictly prohibited areas - like near where the Reagents reside - mention a strange girl sneaking about.
