Wetlands ———————————————— All Aqua-Type/WATER/Level 2 or lower monsters gain 1200 ATK. ———————————————— Can Be Found In: Light of Destruction (LODT-EN054)
The basic premise arround Field Spells is to provide boosts and effects to a particular group of monsters regardless of their owner. Obviously this means that will require a Deck of their to maximize their results, specially if are arround an archetype to provide support arround their main mechanics. While there's a chance for the opponent gain its benefits, the risks for that to happen are quite minimum and often harmless as we'll still be on a better position due the many monsters we'll be working along with.
"Wetlands" is probably one of the most powerful Field Spells when comes to stat boosts, but asks for very specific monsters to make it work. "Wetlands" will provide a surprising 1200 ATK increase to Level 2 or lower Monsters which belong to both the Aqua-Type and WATER Attribute, so in most cases will work arround creatures with very poor stats on their own. However, "Wetlands" not only has plenty of monsters to work arround this high offensive that provides, but also entire themes and even archetypes to maximize its usage and overwhelm the opponent with its assistance.
With cards such as "Terraforming" and "Set Rotation" immediately looking for Field Spells, all we have left to do is to manage the monsters we can work arround "Wetlands".  A popular choice arround this card are Frogs thanks to the many summoning options arround them, specially with "Submarine Frog" becoming one of the most powerful members in the build by turning into a 2400 ATK card with piercing damage. Monsters like "Unifrog" and "Dewdark of the Ice Barrier" on the other hand will be able to direct attack and deal considerable damage, so we can go through the opponent's monsters while also stalling their game along cards such as "Cryomancer of the Ice Barrier" (Also becoming one of the strongest monsters arround this card with 2500 ATK) and "Testudo erat Numen"  among others. The Paleozoic archetype has a good chance to OTK the Duel along this Field Spell, as despite being Trap Cards they become monsters with all the requeriments to become 2400 ATK creatures together. Normal Monsters are also capable to conquer the board along "Wetlands", as several cards like "Enchanting Fitting Room" and "Tri-Wight" will constantly bring them in groups from early to late game. Finally, cards like "Solidarity", "Aqua Jet",  and "Star Boy" will further increase our monsters' ATK to take full dominance of battles and assure lethal damage with their attacks.
"Wetlands" shouldn't be underestimated due its very specific conditions pretty much asking for weak creatures to work along with. Many archetypes like Frog and Paleozoic will become terrifying by working along this card, while many other cards will go from powerful direct attacks to further ATK increases. Is a Field Spell that clearly requires an entire Deck arround its pressence, but with the many monsters available and the swarming potential among its candidates can easily assure the victory before the opponent has a good chance to take us down. But "Wetlands" has a big weakness and that is its entire build being completely dependant of its pressence, as while some monsters can still handle themselves with their effects and other supporting cards is not until the Field Spell is activated that they'll reach their peak performance. "Wetlands" might have a big risk that can put the Deck's performance in danger, but on the other hand has all the possibilities to take full control of the Battle Phase and even the Duel itself.
Personal Rating: A
+ Gives 1200 ATK to Level 2 and below WATER Aqua-Type monsters + Several monsters and mechanics arround it + Some monsters will reach up to 2500 ATK to easily defeat the opponent with
- Requires a whole Deck arround it - Many monsters might become completely dependant of its pressence
