Just a random, silly thought that popped into my head a while ago (and this probably won't happen), but what if once Malleus's overblot is all done and over, Lilia becomes a teacher at NRC instead of leaving? That way he's giving Malleus, Silver, and Sebek room to grow on their own and experience this important change/loss while still being close enough to stay in their lives (and this way he accepts that he is loved and loves them, and he won't go off to an unfamiliar country to die alone and never see them again).

Not sure what he'd teach...Maybe if Crowley gets fired after all this, Trein can be promoted to headmage and Lilia can teach History of Magic, since that's his best subject. Or, better yet, imagine Lilia being the new headmage of NRC 😂

Okay so I'm using this text to speech thing but anyway. so Jade Leach he's living his fan fic life. Like that's just how he lives. he just lives fanfiction. But that's the thing. some of the stuff he talks about in the recent update is genuinely stuff he wants to do. So whenever he was in that event and he's like "oh yeah I have a plan" and he starts listing off all the activities and scenarios that would make him stop everything he's doing and go hang out. But that's the thing. All that stuff that he wants to do is straight up activities he genuinely wants. He wants to hang out, he wants to go hiking, he wants to go discover new things and plants and mushrooms, to go out and do that with you. I just know he is SEETHING about that during the whole scene and especially when he's hiding and watching but can't come out yet. He's so mad which is probably also why he's so brutal about it and happy when he can take out his frustration. But all I can think is that if before all that book 7 stuff - because let's be real there was like a lot of time to hang out and do whatsoever before the whole book 7- but anyways let's say a reader or yuu that likes hiking anyway -cuz let's be real that place is huge, that campus is huge, the ramshackle is right there in the middle of everything plus there's a forest like right next to it- so if you were to just like walking or hiking and you had been hiking that whole time to decompress and explore (though maybe not necessarily with jade and more like as a hobby since NRC life is chaotic so maybe you didn't sign up for stuff etc). It's so over though if you end up making hiking buddies and he finds out. Especially if you two were hanging out anyways before he found out. Jade finds out that you were hiking without him and not only that, you were hiking with somebody else (considering the state of his mountain lovers club). I just feel he's pissed, very jealous though i feel like he both wishes you said something and also that he asked earlier (i can only imagine it's a scenario where you simply never know all of someone's hobbies just cause you hadn't thought to bring it up). Anyways i feel like he'd be so mad, just so mad about all of that. He'd be so mad cuz like "what do you mean that you were hiking without him? what do you mean you had a hiking buddy? you just HAD OTHER HIKERS with you?? how dare you 😡😢??" Especially since Jade has been there for a year and you know he's just so mad, he's so pissed, and he's so jealous and he wants to hang out because i know that Yuu even in canon hangs out with him a little bit but that's the point! He's sitting there and he's like "you're out there living my life, living my dream ,and you didn't even invite me???" he's so mad he's just so jealous of this whole situation

Pardon ramble, i was also using text to speech which was good because i found it easier than trying to type it up but i had to edit it and also pardon if it's tough to read since it's basically my excited speech patterns which can get rambly lol.

i think that'd be a funny fic idea.

You know, it didn't really hit me at first why he seemed to be sadistic with the fake him, but it does make sense that he would be jealous. Even intimidating guys get lonely, and he's made a few different comments before about wanting others to join and how Azul and Floyd aren't fond of his rambles or mushrooms.

I think it would be kind of funny for Yuu, alone or with their hiking buddy, to randomly run into Jade during one of his treks into nature. Why didn't you tell him you liked hiking and nature? 😠 You could have joined his club a long while ago!

You both better join his club to make up for it, if he doesn't like the other guy, they might fall off something though. I guess it would just be the two of you bonding over nature together then...

Being in his club could be a sweet deal, it's a good way to get the guy to have a positive association with you, would probably be hard for others to do otherwise since he and his brother go after peeps they find interesting.

But with this, even if your not the most exciting person, you can gain some of his interest and he might even do certain things to make sure you'll stay in the club. Say something about considering quitting the club since these guys have been bullying you and you just want to head straight to your dorm after class? Welp, it seems they recently got stuck in a contract with Azul, no need for you to change your schedule now.

Ah, the food. You may possibly get slightly poisoned by things until he decides he likes you but the fact that you're willing to try his mushroom stuff gets you more brownie points with the guy. Plus, you get free food often. I hope your like me and love mushrooms.

I'm kind of imagining a situation where you get into his club before Azul tries taking Ramshackle and when it does happen Jade is pretty insistent on getting Azul to let you stay in their dorm and is kind of anxious about you hating him because of the situation and quitting his club.

25. Which character(s) would you actively avoid? Personally, you would not see me anywhere near Vil, Rook or Sebek.

I can appreciate Vil's efforts to have people more self-confident in their own image however I absolutely despise how forceful he goes about it, especially with Epel and the dance troupe. If I EVER caught him trying to change parts of myself that I'm proud of (my australian accent, my nerdy sense of fashion, etc.) it would be ON SIGHT- (Can you tell I'm still not over Book 5?)

For Rook, i can say I..... respect his dedication and loyalty to his beliefs. However? That man... he scares me... Also, i'm still extremely salty over the VDC/SDC results WE SHOULD HAVE WON THAT AND WE LOST TO THE TWST EQUIVILANT OF BABY SHARK- Rook, i don't care about your reasonings for why we weren't at our best, I've seen the video performance AND THE NRC TRIBE FUCKING NAILED IT!!!

And then our croccy boi- Now don't get me wrong, I do love Sebek as a member of the first year gang of idiots. I also don't know a lot about him personally since I've only known him in events and havent started Book 7 yet. From what I have seen, he does annoy me a lot with his blatant disregard and disrespect to anyone who isn't Malleus or Lilia. His ego and his racism also really piss me off and make me wanna slap some sense into him. I understand it comes from a place of self-loathing but dude, PLEASE read the room for once and not screech our ears off. I'm certain that I would eventually befriend him but if we actually met face to face, it would be a miracle for me to not punch him 1 minute after his insults.

5. If you could have any unique magic / signature spell in the game, which would you choose and why?

Ooooh I've never thought about that until now actually. Personally, i would want something that would be useful and practical both in a day to day life or in a fight since I'm not very physically strong. Going with that idea, i'd more than likely pick either Split Card or Paint The Roses/Doodle Suit. Multiple me's to help me do chores around the house or distract someone in a fight? YES PLEASE!! I also have a lot of sensory issues so I feel like Paint the Roses would really help me eat the things i need to or make a certain texture that feels funny to me turn comfortable. We've also seen how useful it can be in a fight during Riddle's Overblot when Trey turned the rosebush into cards and saved us.

If just for fun though, I'd love to try out any of Savanaclaw's UM's/SS's. Now THAT would be chaotic heheh.

28. What is the TWST related content that you've produced that you are most proud of?

I personally really love my HTTYD x TWST fic that i've been writing. Knowing myself, I probably wont ever finish/post it so I'll have what I've written linked here for anyone who's interested in my favourite brainworm lol. Bella is a very special oc near and dear to my heart as she's the first one that I've enjoyed writing for since being kicked out of home over a year ago. She gave me back my creativity and I couldn't be more thankful for it.

Right now, I've even been imagine a Fairly OddParents x TWST fic in my head which I think would be a BLAST to write, where my Twisted version of Timmy Turner (a girl called Izzy) would use their rule free wish to be a part of Wanda, Cosmo and Poof/Peri's family as their bio daughter when they're no longer her godparents and becomes a half-fairy hybrid in the process. The idea of a "magicless" girl at NRC who out of nowhere suddenly can not only make but GRANT wishes that bend the laws of reality around her is absolutely hilarious to me. Haha take that you pricks, you thought I was weak? BOOM you're a hedgehog, now you really are a prick. Rewatching FOP and seeing how Timmy can be such a menace/pos really makes me think he would fit in GREAT amongst NRC lol.

I'm also really proud of the Card edits I've done for other people where I turn their OC's into different rated cards so it looks like it's from the game. Seeing all the different kinds of OC's and hearing about their characters is so amazing.

Thoughts on and Headcanons for Rook Hunt

Rook is a very divisive character for me, and I’ve gone back and forth on how I feel about him. I absolutely hate how he treats the nonhuman students. I also hate the vin where he comments on Vil gaining weight when it wasn’t even noticeable to someone with normal eyes. That’s not a healthy mindset. Nor can I ignore the wall of hidden photos we see peaking out behind the wallpaper in his (canon) room. 

I do not like how he handled the end of Chapter 5. The way he gushed about Neige and revealed his obsession, right in front of Vil, after everything that had just happened. I know people get upset over the fact he voted for RSA, and while I think it was a dick move for him to have revealed that it was his vote that cost them the show. It’s more that he hid something like that from Vil, and given how they talked about everything related to the theater together, and he knew Vil’s connection to Neige it just feels…really shitty that that's how it came out. 

On the other hand, I really do think he cares about Vil. I have never truly shipped them together (the only time I’ve written them in a relationship together was in a poly with Cater) I do think he loves Vil in a brotherly fashion. And I think they’re important to each other. Vil especially I think values Rook’s friendship more than he wants to admit. (This is also kinda why I think his actions at the end of chapter 5 were so crappy)

At the same time, I think he suffered from character assassination at that point. They needed Rook to do what he did to thematically fit the narrative and his role as the royal Hunstman. And they cared about that more than if it was something Rook would truly do. As much as I love twist and the story, I find myself having this complaint often. They’re more concerned about the overall narrative than what actually makes sense for the various characters. I could write an entire essay on this especially where Cater is concerned, with him and his interaction with the other characters and his place in the overall narrative. (Again a subject for another time)

On a less serious note, as far as romance goes, I’m reminded of a line from a very old Christmas movie called “White Christmas” where one of the main characters goes. "I'm not the marrying kind or the engaging kind, I'm more the I don't mind pushing my best friend into it but I'm scared stiff when I get anywhere close to myself kind" I can see Rook endlessly encouraging Vil to pursue his heart (With me it's him insisting to Vil he does have feelings for Cater and should give him a chance) But the idea of his own actual love affair terrifies him. He’d rather just watch other people fall in love. 

I do think he has several secret perches around campus that no one knows about. 

I also think he and Cater would be absolutely great and chaotic friends, that would strike fear into Vil’s heart. They both share a love of photography and him. I can just imagine Vil having to endure the two of them talking about him while he’s sitting right there lol. 

I also gave them an anonymous magicam account where they post pictures of student life on campus (Mostly taken by Rook, but some by Cater) 

I developed Rook’s Family for a fanfic I wrote a while ago. So some of this comes from that. I know if we ever get to meet his family this will all be obsolete but its still fun to work with. I also won't go into to much detail here, because his Family could be an entire post on its own. (Just like Cater’s) 

His father works directly for Leona’s brother (And previously their father) as head of Royal Wildlife Management in the Savanah, a position his family has inherited for generations after they made the move there.  A position his eldest brother will inherit one day. His eldest Sister I made a traveling exotic vet. 

Rook himself is a fraternal twin. Reinette (the name I gave her) also has magic but doesn’t attend NRC because it (appears) to be an all male school. But she acts much like Rook did in his Savanaclaw days. Longer hair, sunbaked skin, and loaded with freckles. 

His younger brother I named Florent and idolizes his big brother, and is the only other Hunt child to have magic. He’s set to go to NRC as a first year when Rook is a 4th year. 

His youngest sister and the baby of the family is Fleur, and shares Rook’s and their father’s love of theater, albeit for the more technical side, and also has more than a slight obsession with Vil.

At his core, I don’t think Rook really feels like he fits in anywhere. Pomefiore and Vil have come as close as it gets for him, but it’s still not right. He’s restless, and is still searching for his “home”. 

As an adult, I’d given him the profession of a wildlife photographer (French Steve Irwin is how I described it) It’s something I think he’s well suited for.

Notes: Wrote this one when I was feeling stressed awhile ago and also when I was thinking about emotions and how some of these NRC boys just...keep them in and well, you’ll see. (Also, Hello! I’m Back! Well, I never left but its one of those, many ideas in head, some get written some do not, some finished and some not.. so yeah lol though I’ve been writing theories and drabbles more so...it’s not like I haven't been writing...I’m rambling again whoops).

Empath Series: Heartslabyul, Scarabia 

·      It would be so difficult for an empath YN to deal with these boys.

·      She would not only have to deal with the chaos these boys brought to her life every day, but also the overblots.

·      She would notice those who are having trouble the most and try to help them out, but let’s be honest, getting these boys to talk about their feelings is like pulling teeth, unless you’re Sebek.

·      YN would be so tired, especially when having to feel all these emotions.

·      But think about it,

·      Once these boys do open up and get closer to YN.

·      They would be so grateful and treasure her.

·      Especially if they realize that she’s been trying to help them from the beginning.

Leona Kingscholar

·      For YN, Leona brought mixed feelings.

·      His constant fatigue and seeking naps had her wanting to sleep next to him.

·      Just lying next to him in the warm sun under the shade of the trees.

·      Just like a cat.

·      YN wouldn’t say that out loud, though.

·      There were times, though, that YN felt it.

·      The slowness, the heaviness, and the lack of interest in anything.

·      YN knew what that meant; Leona’s own darkness must have been especially hard on those days.

·      YN would have to force herself out of bed, as if she was moving against sludge.

·      On those days, YN would try her best to make him feel better.

·      She would help Ruggie make his favorites or make sure no one disturbed his sleep.

·      Sometimes, she would get the whole dorm to annoy him: play extra games of Magift, pull him out of his garden for other activities, and compliment his pride a little.

·      His irritation would show, but gradually, the darkness would ebb away.

·      He would smirk as if he was the king, and he was, wasn’t he?

·      King of His Pack.

·      YN would shake her head and comment back as he made comments at her, but she was happy to see him shine.

Ruggie Bucchi:

·      Ruggie Bucchi always made YN…hungry.

·      Hungry for food was a given, but it also made her hunger for everything else too.

·      To do her best.

·      To be determined.

·      To prosper.

·      It gave her a ticklish feeling almost.

·      Sometimes, YN wanted to force Ruggie to stop and make him sit.

·      To take a break.

·      But she knew better, so she chose to use the energy he gave in other ways.

·      She used it on her schoolwork, to wrangle the first years, and to find Ruggie to feed him snacks.

·      The hints of anxiety from him, of not doing enough, or perpetual fatigue would be drained away once he sat down and was offered a meal.

·      After all, you had to care of yourself first before you did others.

Jack Howl

·      Jack Howl was the beastman to go to when YN needed determination.

·      His constant sense of stability and routine brought YN a sense of order when everything else at NRC was chaotic.

·      It was also kind of…fascinating to feel the motions of a tsundere.

·      There were other signs, but knowing the subtle change in emotions with him at times made her aware of how deeply he felt despite not showing it.

·      Jack Howl is someone YN could depend on.

·      He might have not initially wanted to join their medley group of miscreants, but he fit in like a jigsaw puzzle.

·      YN could even go as far as to say he probably thought of them as a pact

Savanaclaw was a dorm YN did not have a great start with, but in time, it was a dorm filled with friends.

I really missed writing for this series honestly. Hope everyone enjoyed it. 💕

You were simply too gullible for your own good.

How did such a warmhearted person like yourself make their way into Night Raven’s tall, daunting gates with the stable disposition you presented yourself with? Jade will always wonder this, especially after all of the rather rough treatments he, Azul, and his brother had given you and your friends the first few instances you met the Octavinelle students. He was convinced you feared the trio after your experience with them—with justifiable reason, at that. The first time you met the mermen Jade had noticed your hands shaking in terror. Though, he did not blame you. He could only imagine what it was like for you—an outsider to all of Twisted Wonderland—to be trapped in a chaotic environment like NRC. You were a tiny fish surrounded by an untamable circle of sharks, ready to dive on you as a small treat to prey on. A perfect target for anyone, really.

So when you began to truly act friendly with Jade, he was at a loss for words. He was quite used to the intimidated stares of students as he strolled through the halls of the school on his way to the botanical gardens, however, you had done what any sane individual would dread to do with ease: approach the more formal Leech twin with such carefreeness that even he began to question whether or not you had developed some kind of fever. Prefect, were you alright? What happened to the frightened krill he had met just a month ago? Your tender heart confused the young man. Were you truly the same magicless human? Not that he minded a little change, but the prospect of you not feeling uneasy around him made him feel uneasy instead. He couldn’t understand why you were so nice all of a sudden and it intrigued him immensely.

“Jade!” your cheery voice rang throughout the student-infested courtyard as you practically floated your way to the eel-like second year. “Me and the first years are gonna stop by Mostro Lounge in a few! Hope you don’t mind the company!” you said giggling.

What was your aim? Surely you wanted something from him; why else would you be so kind?

“Hey, you’re welcome to come over to Ramshackle anytime you want! Things are way more interesting with you around,” you said smiling into your own words.

Interesting? Perhaps you were just bored and decided to use him as an object of your entertainment. Floyd does it too, so he wouldn’t be surprised if you were to do it as well.

“I severely misjudged you when I first met you, Jade. I don’t know what everyone else goes on about, but you’re not that bad of a person after all.”

What? Whatever are you going on about, Prefect?

Jade sat in his place on the rooftop of Ramshackle’s creaking, wooden roof as he turned to face you with a serious glint in his heterochromic eyes. He had his assumptions as to why you had been acting so friendly with him, but none of his theories had any concrete evidence. And seeing as he uncharacteristically had trouble reading your intentions—or, at least he did not wish to confess one of his main theories of your sudden warmth—Jade had decided it was best to just warn you of your actions and ensure that you were aware of them. Although he did think about using his signature spell on you once or twice to get the answers out of you. But that method seemed too simple for his taste.

“Be careful with your words. I might mistake your kindness for something deeper,” the merman next to you spoke with a firm tone as he attempted to shake off the crawling feeling in his heart at the utterance of his words. He knew what this feeling was—he was no fool. But it was you he was unsure of; you were still an enigma of mystery to the young man and he wasn’t too fond of not being able to read you like a book.

“It’s no mistake,” you immediately replied with no hesitation.

“Pardon?”

“I said you’re not mistaken. If that ‘deeper’ thing is what I’m thinking of, then you’ve read my intentions perfectly,” a voice booming with confidence escaped your figure as a tumble of wind gushed through your hair at your place high on your dorm’s rooftop, “I like you, Jade. I’m serious about this. And I think you’ve already noticed, too. I was never very discrete about it.”

Jade sat before you, stunned, in silence. The crawling feeling then formed in his chest again, however this time, it had felt like a million butterflies invading his body and stomach at the odd sensation he knew that could only be brought by you and you alone.

How did such an adoring person like yourself end up in the heart of a twisted individual such as him? Jade will always wonder this as you continue to surprise him with every action you do in the name of your favorite eel.

After shocking the hearts of many others using his unique, it was about time someone had shocked his in return.

Thank you so much, I’m glad you liked it!! <3 It was a very fun one to draw, I feel like this is something that just had to be done, even though we obviously aren’t the first ones to think of this idea.

There aren’t any headcanons per-se, but here is a couple of thoughts we had while I was sketching and editing the comic. Most of them are about Ciel for some reason lol

The tweels call Ciel “bocchan”, just like Sebastian does, but it’s because they don’t really know his name, and he looks like a young master, so why not call him that (teasingly). Ciel feels uneasy because of it. After some time though, Floyd is going to give Ciel a fishy nickname, but still add “-bocchan” to it. This is going to make Ciel feel even more uneasy.

Ciel doesn’t really like the tweels, because while Sebastian has scary vibes because he is a demon, these two seem to be just regular (mer?)people, but feel creepy nonetheless. Even more-so, Ciel is very comfortable around Sebastian because of their contract, but the tweels? They seem to be too chaotic and uncontrollable.

While Ciel doesn’t like the tweels, he is subconsciously more drawn towards Jade; either because of his similarities with Sebastian, or because Jade seems like a more reasonable one (even though Ciel clearly sees that Jade is full of shit). Or maybe it’s because Jade doesn’t grab him and throw him in the air yelling about how small he is. Your guess is as good as mine.

Seeing that Ciel is clearly a young master that runs a business, Azul would make sure that he is an excellent host; he will give him the best spot at Mostro Lounge, ask Jade to prepare the best tea and snacks, anything to make his stay at the NRC as comfortable as possible. Ciel would enjoy the comfort, but wouldn’t like Azul at all. Azul would secretly think that Ciel is an entitled brat…

Riddle (why is he here? I don’t know, Floyd brought him to the Lounge) would feel sorry for Ciel because the tweels are clearly pestering him and this is such a relatable pain for him. He would try to be friendly and nice, but unintentionally sound kind of condescending. And while Ciel appreciates one (1) person who seems to be normal enough to have a conversation with, he wouldn’t like being treated like a child. The tea Riddle’d offered would be very nice, though.

After thoroughly cuddling Grim, Idia is going to tell Sebastian about Lucius-tan, describing how big and cute and fluffy he is, making Sebastian obsessed with the idea of petting that other cat at the NRC. Naturally, Idia is going to follow him, because then he also gets to pet Lucius-tan! For Idia, this is the best day ever. He completely forgot that he is supposed to feel shy and awkward around this new guy, or maybe even creeped out.

If Sebastian gets to actually talk to Idia about anything other than cats and their soft paws, he would note that Idia is actually quite capricious and spoiled (just like his bocchan), but obviously wouldn’t say anything about it. There also are some visually similar motifs in Idia and Grell (we joke that Idia is nega-Grell because of how different and opposite they are), and Sebastian might notice that too. And thank the universe that Idia doesn’t seem to be crushing on him as hard.

Sebastian would also feel that Idia has some kind of connection to the Underworld, but wouldn’t necessarily be able to pinpoint what kind of connection that is. He knows that this is something he’s never encountered before, so if Idia wasn’t so painfully harmless, he would be more concerned/invested in this.

While Ciel is anxious to find Sebastian and leave, Sebastian’s just chillin, he knows that Ciel isn’t in any danger; maybe it’s for the best for his bocchan to hang out with some other kids for an hour or two while Sebastian is busy petting cats.

FT x TW: Each NRC boy favorite Fairy Tail mage

This is like, half “favorite” and half “who would gravitate towards each other and end up becoming friends”

(Also limiting this to the FT guild so I don't have to think about Everyone)

Either way, interactions go brr—

Riddle: After witnessing Erza beat some manners into some people, he would probably respect her a great deal. That said, after Erza inevitably is also chaotic (they are the same but Riddle doesn't have that self-awareness yet), I think Riddle and Charle would get along really well. Tea-buddies and why-am-I-surrounded-by-thugs? buddies, and what-not.

Trey: I think Trey and Mirajane would be buds. It's the mutual eldest sibling energy, and also the steadfast dedication towards being supporting (when they are actually crazy op). They will probably bond over cooking.

Deuce: As soon as Deuce figures out that Jet is a speed-mage, they bond over their love of going really fast and Jet would absolutely love the blastcycles, and then neither of them can be stopped.

Ace: Bickslow would actually adopt Ace first, because he thinks the sleight-of-hand tricks are rad, and then probably teaches Ace even more, which Ace in turns thinks is really cool. Plus, Ace would respect how wildly blunt Bickslow can be. (They would be relentless with the teasing. They will not be stopped.)

Cater: He and Cana would be good buds. Just hanging around, sharing gossip, maybe going shopping...empathizing with the existential dread of always being a background support character with no strong connections. (So they think. The idiots /affectionate.)

Leona: Someway, somehow, Leona is going to blink and accidentally adopt Lisanna as a little sister. She's got a good head on her shoulders and doesn't pick fights but Leona sniffs out that latent exasperation and it's now he's invested in letting Lisanna release her inner feral. As a treat. Also the cat naps are real.

Ruggie: One thing leads to another and now he and Gajeel are sharing pick-pocket techniques from their Street Days. Plus Gajeel can face-tank just about anything and Ruggie would be thrilled to use him as a shield. Also Ruggie would be both impressed (and maybe jealous, because eating metal sounds convenient) to find someone with greater jaw strength than him.

Jack: Panther Lily. They would have the bro nod of respect at first, but Jack would also really look up to him, for being so cool-headed and diligent.

Azul: I'm honestly not sure who he would pick as his favorite, per se, because he would be interested in all of their magics and bounce around, but somehow now I cannot get out of my head that he would love Chico. One, making deals with the dead (in addition to the living) would probably fascinate him; two, family-owned-restaurant/diner buddies. That's it. That's all I got. (He's very Blue Pegasus-shaped though, so I bet he would love that guild.)

Jade: Droy. They will talk about terrestrial plants for literal hours, and Jade will probably bamboozle him into free garden labor. (And Droy would be thrilled to have someone interested.) Honestly a win-win all around.

Floyd: Gray—both because Floyd would think the ice magic is really cool, and because Floyd would have waaaay too much fun messing with him.

Kalim: He and Lucy could totally bond over being sheltered rich kids, and being generally hyper beans. Though Lucy would definitely be the voice of reason, lol.

Jamil: resists the urge to swing into htryds and start my Jamil And Erik Would Be Friends agenda I think Jamil and Kinana would be very chill together, hiding in the corner to destress and then just vibing. (Snek friends.) Kinana would bully Jamil into self-care, probably, and she would probably remind him a bit of Najma. (yes these are my own hcs involving Kinana's characterization but let me have this)

Vil: I think Vil would sniff out Juvia's earnest try-hardness and chaotic people-pleasing and then make her a personal project, so to speak, trying to instill as much self-confidence in her as possible. Then mid nail-painting they hardcore bond over being villainized by random bystanders.

Rook: He, Bisca, and Alzack would have a sharp shooting competition and trade good ol' hunting stories, and maybe gush over baby pictures.

Epel: He'll probably unironically think Elfman is very cool. Elfman will probably declare Epel manly. They'll both shed (manly) tears.

Idia: Happy. Both because Happy is an easy-going cat and because I think Happy would be genuinely amused/interested in video games, or just watching video games. (That said, if Idia is able to get past his people-are-scary anxiety for two seconds, he and Levy would be amazing friends. Mutual nerd infodumping grounds right there.)

Ortho: I think Ortho and Wendy would be good friends. Just helpful little guys. They would equally fuel the other's cinnamon roll status and their secret gremlin status—helping kittens out of trees and bulldozing forests when provoked. That kind of thing. Ortho would be super interested in replicating enchantments on himself, I think, and Wendy would def try to help him out.

Malleus: Natsu would 100% challenge him to a (friendly) fight and then eat his fire at least once, and Malleus would be both very fascinated and thrilled to have a) someone not afraid of him and b) and fellow!! dragon!!!! buddy :D

Lilia: I know there's not really a feasible way for them to actually meet, per se, but Lilia and Mavis would be dangerously good friends. Dangerous for everyone else, that is.

Silver: One sparring match later, and Silver and Erza are definitely sharing a braincell. They'll be talking about swordplay for hours. Erza will introduce him to a new type of cake and change his life. (They are simple, straightforward beans and they will vibe so well.)

Sebek: He will probably do his best to antagonize almost everyone, but nevertheless, you know who I think he would get along great with? Evergreen. Whether or not he believes she is a fairy is irrelevant; they will agree that fairies are superior. They bond over having their favorite dragon dude they dote on and find ways to be dramatic. Evergreen will gift him some coat or accessory and Sebek will be so honored.

Ahem! Now then, on to the chaotic musings~ UvU

You actually touched up on a very good point: Twisted Wonderland’s events! Now, we know in the normal game that Yuu tends to get dragged into the thick of each event’s shenanigans in some way, shape, or form. However, in the Monster AU, the stakes and risks are much higher being the only human around whether they’re normal Yuu or mini!Yuu.

Halloween was even more of a nightmare for Yuu and the staff once the Magicam monsters began terrorizing both versions to post to their accounts, with several being arrested and charged by the school and research institutions for “threatening a critically endangered species” and stressing them out unnecessarily (serves them right though when they broke into Ramshackle like in the game. >.>) When it came to mini!Yuu though...let’s just say that Crowley and the rest of the school showed those Magicam monsters that it was unwise to make a scared toddler cry. Say goodbye to any social clout they had online or in real life once Mom Vil is through with them, let alone once big brothers Ortho and Idia upload crystal clear videos of their selfish and cruel disregard for the child’s comfort! >:V

Both Yuu’s are going to be very well protected and cared for once all is said and done, and they're going to get so many treats! I did, however, get a very interesting ask involving Yuu and the Halloween event, so I’m gonna play around with that idea as a scenario of sorts, as it sounds fun being “Home Alone” if you catch my drift~ >w>

Anyway, ghost Marriage, Beans Day, Fairy Gala, Harveston’s Kelkkarotu, and even the second half of the Halloween event? Yup, each one winds up being twice as chaotic than the original as it is definitely going to be hard to ignore a human walking around. Harveston will likely be the least stressful by comparison, as I’d imagine the village would be warm and welcoming to both Yuu’s as they celebrate the event together!

The Scalding Sands’ Al’ab Nariya (or “fireworks”) event, however, is going to be three times as difficult to the point it’s seriously considered that they get a bodyguard for extra security. Think Kalim’s family gets targeted a lot? Imagine a lone human in a place where thieves and criminals may be lurking in the shadows looking for a fortune! So Jamil having to worry about Malleus and Yuu? If he wasn’t stressed before, he certainly is now!

Mini!Yuu though has a much easier solution: a child harness and a carrier! The carrier would be one that can easily be swapped and worn by anyone of the group (minus Grim of course). They’ll be extra vigilant though, but rest assured they will be the safest child in Twisted Wonderland! (Also, can you imagine Malleus carrying a tiny human in a carrier on his chest or back? Adorable!)

Jamil is more than likely going to get a stress headache afterwards until they get back to school, but he’d be lying if he said he didn’t have fun in the end. UvU

Curiouser and Curiouser...

Trey drops an entire bottle of oyster sauce vanilla extract into his cake batter when news of Riddle’s kidnapping reaches him. There’s a million thoughts racing around in his head, and none of them are particularly hopeful. Riddle wouldn’t have gone without putting a fight. Why would anyone go after him? How could I have not known about this until after it’s too late to help him?

Even though Trey is worried, he tries to stay calm and rational--especially around his dorm members, who are arguably more chaotic than ever without Riddle’s guidance. Normally, he wouldn’t go above and beyond to fill in for someone else’s role--he sees overinvolvement as an inconvenience and only really steps in when necessary--but right now, Heartslabyul needs him more than ever.

Trey steps up to the plate and takes control of the dorm starting with smoothing over their concerns. It’s easy for him to calm the students down, since he has had a reputation of being “the nice and reasonable one” in leadership (compared to Riddle). He directs everyone to carry on as they were while the higher authorities/school staff (or at least he hopes it’s the school staff and not students again) handle the negotiations.

He’s definitely a more lax leader than Riddle; Trey won’t punish you for violating the Queen of Hearts’ rules, but break any normal rules and you can bet there’ll be an oyster cake with your name on it.

The Unbirthday parties come to an unceremonious halt; it just doesn’t feel right to hold one without Riddle. Trey feels a little guilty about this--he’d always said he’d love to have a well-deserved break from baking for the entire dorm, but not like this. Sometimes he’ll just glance forlornly in the direction of the rose garden, as if longing or those peaceful days to return--he’d never take them for granted again. 

Trey knows the others will spiral back into panic if he, too, panics--so he keeps his concerns to himself. There are a select few students who have an inkling of his true feelings (namely Ace, Deuce, and Cater), but Trey is quick to refute them. “I’m sure the headmaster has something planned,” he says, not sure if even he fully believes his words. “I’m just holding down the fort until Riddle returns.”

... It’s only in private when Trey slips off his glasses and pinches the bridge of his nose, wrought with worry. He debates with himself if he should say more, do more--or risk repeating what happened in his childhood. His indecision leaves him in a state of distress--a sentiment that he dooms himself to suffer from alone. Riddle... Please be safe.

Ruggie’s got his work cut out for him. When he tells the rest of Savanaclaw about how Leona was taken away right before his very eyes, an angry uproar drums up. Pretty soon, most of the dorm is demanding that they band together and storm STYX HQ to save their dorm leader. Jack, meanwhile, disapprovingly tells the others that rebelling like that would only lead to more casualties.

Ever the opportunist, Ruggie uses Jack’s argument to his advantage, explaining that Leona was more concerned with the state of the dorm that being rescued. “He asked me to look after Savanaclaw ‘til he gets back, so that’s what we’re doing. If you tried to pull off a whole jail break operation now, don’t ‘cha think Leona-san would be pissed that we didn’t follow orders? That we thought he’d be too weak to bust out on his own?”

He eventually manages to persuade his students to (begrudgingly) give in and welcome new leadership--because at NRC, even a hyena can be king. Jack kind of voluntells Ruggie he’ll be his assistant/bodyguard, trailing after his upperclassman and leaping into action whenever he needs something done. This is useful mainly when Ruggie lacks the raw strength to break up a brawl himself. Nishishi, guess Jack-kun has his uses after all. What a good boy.

Ruggie’s good at budgeting his time, thanks to his years of practice juggling school, work, and running errands for Leona. Because of that, its easy for him to pick up on the duties of a Dorm Leader and incorporate them into his daily life.

His new temporary position also means he has less overall time to dedicate to his odd jobs. He’s got all sorts of new events and meetings to tend to, which really cuts into his earning potential--so he makes a mental note to charge Leona triple what he would have made in that time, plus interest. Nothing personal, it’s just business!

Ruggie has mixed feelings on the whole ordeal. At the end of the day, he sees what he’s doing as just another gig: keeping the Dorm Leader seat warm for Leona, just as instructed. Still, there’s a nagging feeling in the back of his mind, a worry that Leona won’t come back, and that he won’t be able to collect on his efforts, that he won’t ever see the guy--friend?--that pulled him out of the slums again.

No, you can’t think like that. You’ve gotta smile and be worry-free, he tells himself. Leona-san isn’t a kitten. A king like him can’t be so easily overthrown. He can tough it out and survive--I know he can.

With Octavinelle’s Dorm Leader seat open, it’s a mad dash of quarreling and backstabbing amongst the students to claim that coveted position for themselves. Unfortunately for them, they’ll have to pry it from Jade’s cold, dead hands first--and that’s something that he just won’t allow to pass. He decimates those foolish enough to challenge him with a polite smile and a laugh, relishing in victory after victory.

“I’m afraid we will be having none of that,” Jade tuts (launching another poor student into the ever-growing pile of his victims), “for it is the role of the Vice Dorm Leader and the Vice Dorm Leader alone to fulfill Azul’s duties in his absence. You understand, yes?” (The fallen students groan and whimper in response.)

With a fresh fear instilled in them, the Octavinelle students soon fall back in line under Jade’s dutiful eye. Service at the Mostro Lounge continues (albeit with a new mushroom-laced menu), with Jade taking clients in his Azul’s office to discuss deals. Being as competent as he is, he doesn’t need It’s a Deal to obtain desired items or outcomes that the customers ask for--even if he has to stoop to blackmail to do it.

In a way, Jade’s much more frightening of a Dorm Leader than Azul ever was. Jade doesn’t even need to lay a finger on anyone to traumatize them for life--he weaponizes his words, bending lies into truths and cleverly manipulating others into doing his bidding--and if anyone dares to turn on him, they won’t be coming out of an encounter unscathed.

Floyd whines to his classmates about how Jade is “having a power trip” and how Jade’s “sadist side is coming out full force” (which his twin will vehemently deny). Since they’re a man down on staff, Floyd hasn’t been allowed to goof off for one second! He almost misses the days when Azul was the main one nagging him and Jade was mostly there as an enabler.

In truth, Jade is very much enjoying his newfound status--it opens up so many new forms of amusement! Deals to meet, students to scare straight, finances and stock to manage... But, most of all, Azul is at the forefront of his mind. Jade laments not being able to observe the octopus coping with his new circumstances, leaving his curiosity unquenched. Azul is resourceful and hardy. If he was able to endure the cruelty of the Coral Sea, then I am certain that he will be able to endure this kidnapping. He is, after all, the one Floyd and I have chosen to ‘follow’.

“Ahhhh, it’s so lame without Azul around. I can’t believe he just went with those guys willingly. We should go and break him out.” Floyd had suggested (on multiple occasions). “No,” Jade had told him. “It would be unwise for us to challenge an entire organization by our lonesome.” And so, they bide their time--waiting for the right chance to strike back and exact their revenge. (... Or letting others do the dirty work for them.)

Kalim tries to hide his stress behind a smile--but it seems a little strained, forced, even. He should be pulling himself together and acting like a proper Dorm Leader for his students... but the problem with him is that he wears his emotions on his sleeves, and it’s easy to know when he’s faking his feelings. Scarabia overall carries a far more solemn atmosphere.

He can’t eat or sleep properly--he can barely even play his animals or take the Magic Carpet out for a stroll through the skies. There aren’t even any parties or banquets thrown. “It’s okay, really!” he’ll insist, putting on a brave face. Kalim doesn’t have the heart to let it drop--he can’t show weakness, not now. Not when his dorm members are looking for him for leadership. “I’m just not in the mood today!”

Scarabia comes together to console and support Kalim! (They may not be as skilled as Jamil individually, but if they put their heads together, they can do amazing things! For example, they all take turns doing his usual tasks: looking after the animals, cooking meals... and, of course, at least one person is keeping an eye on the Dorm Leader at all times.) Kalim supported them in their times of need, and now it’s time for Scarabia to pay him back!

He keeps himself awake at night with thoughts about Jamil. How is he doing right now? Is he eating properly? Is he having trouble sleeping, too? And what can Kalim do to help him? Why can’t he help him? Why can’t Kalim do anything when it matters the most? ... Before he knows it, the sun is up again, and his cheeks are tacky from tears.

When he hears rumors of a plan to head to STYX HQ and free the kidnapped students, Kalim jumps at the chance to pitch in. He begs the rescue team to take him with them. He’s tired of sitting aside and being the one saved. This time, he wants to be the one doing the saving.

It’s Rook who has to step in once more to tell Kalim to back down. “Your place, Roi d’Or,” the huntsman gently reminds him, “is by the side of Scarabia. What were to happen if both of its leaders were to vanish? There would be no light to guide them through this harrowing, dark time. You must stay--and put your faith in us to recover Monsieur Multi.”

“Okay,” Kalim whispers, wiping at his tears. For the first time in a while, he breaks into a genuine smile, despite sobbing through it all. “I’ll... I’ll believe in you guys...! Please...!! Bring Jamil back. Bring them all back...!” When he faces his students again, he’s beaming just as brightly as he ever was--because when Jamil comes back, Kalim wants him to see just how much he has grown.

Rook is swift and decisive with his actions. His first priority is making sure that the right information is out there. He knows that word travels fast by mouth, and that the truth can be drastically exaggerated or distorted from it--so he gathers Pomefiore in their grand lounge and makes the big announcement: Vil has been taken.

Just as he suspects, the lounge is immediately filled with appalled gasps and cries, frantic and confused whispering--but as any good hunter knows, sudden movements and loud noises can startle the prey. That’s why Rook remains the picture of calm and collected, making sure that his easygoing smile never wavers. If he shows that he is not fazed, then it will ease the students as well.

Those in Pomefiore tend to be self-sufficient and not truly in need of guidance--but many of them look up to and respect Vil, so... one by one, various students begin to volunteer to go and negotiate with STYX to release him. Being creatures of protocol, they don’t dare act out of turn or wish to leave NRC without the permission of their Vice Dorm Leader--now acting Dorm Leader--but Rook turns each of the offers down.

“Our beautiful Vil is a strong-willed flower,” the huntsman declares. “He will be able to hold his own against such cruel oppressors for the time being. Roi du Poison would not wish for Pomefiore to crumble without him--instead, dedicate yourselves to the pursuit of beauty all the more. You need not concern yourself with the rescue mission--for that is something that I plan to take up myself.”

He’s able to say that with confidence--Rook knows that the students of Pomefiore are self sufficient and have high standards. They’re able to look after themselves, and their dorm, even without a figure like himself or Vil to lead them (well, at least for the short term). Right now, he wants to dedicate all of his efforts to finding a way to set his queen free--because such beauty should not be hoarded, but shared with the world.

As he’s preparing his supplies and running rehearsing his arguments, Rook senses a presence nearby--and who should appear before him but young Epel and his friends. “Us too...! I... no, we want to help get Vil-senpai and the others back!”

“... Hohoh. How fast you’ve flourished, first years. That newfound fire in your eyes--magnifique! If you have chosen to steel your courage for this trial, then I could ask for no better allies. Come then! We shall plead our case to the faculty and pave a route for ourselves to the Isle of Lamentation!”

epel would happily teach you german. he'd try to confidently suggest teaching you or practicing with you after class to get some more time with you (and you only. he'd also ask you not to tell the others because he kind of doesn't want to share).

he'd call you "little apple" in german because he thinks he's being slick, but he's also lowkey a sap. that's what one of the elders back at the village of harvest, and he's been wanting to call his special someone that.

he'll try to be your impulse control since he's well-acquainted with the adeuce duo's spontaneity that he's developed a sixth sense to stop people before they make a very impulsive decision. he'll at first try to redirect your attention to something else, but if that doesn't work. he'll just straightforwardly tell you that you'll be making an impulse decision and remind you that it may not be good, so think carefully.

the only time he can't stop you with your impulses is when he can't handle his. this only happens when he's annoyed or mad.

for once in epel's entire nrc life up to this point, he's never been so thankful for the intricate accessories within his wardrobe— courtesy of vil, of course. when you'd come into his room asking to borrow something that could bring your look together with the greek-style costume you had to put on for the event, he had frozen up at how amazing you looked before looking in his drawers for anything he could salvage for you.

that's how he ended up watching you try on the golden wreath crown he had stored by his dresser. it had been decorated with apple charms, something he truly thought would fit you perfectly— not to mention how it had complimented the olive tan of your skin and brown hair. mesmerized by the smile on your face, he shifts behind you.

"um, you look good!" he squawks out of the blue. the apples of his cheek are tinted red. the embarrassment from saying his thoughts aloud makes him want to bury himself in a hole for the rest of eternity. your chocolate-colored eyes zone in on him before your figure turns around; your hands come to clasp his while he's stuck in a daze. the skin-to-skin contact makes him flush even more.

"thank you, epel!" you beam while complimenting the outfit he had also worn for the event. epel freezes up, and he swears he feels his soul leave his body.

Heya! My answers got pretty long - and I'm pretty certain more of my OCs would like Mizuki - but my hand got all painful so I had to stop writing in my notebook lol. Please correct me if I misinterpreted anything about Mizuki! (My lil brain can't stop worrying about if this is good enough xP)

Ranmaru is fairly naïve and likely to fall for any manipulation quite easily (and I wouldn't be surprised if his blunt statements could potentially either annoy or amuse her depending on the recipient...) He's very sweet and earnest when trying to make friends though (he may even try to learn how to make some strawberry mochi for her if he learns that she likes it) so I can see him being fairly fond of her and wanting to be friends.

Ranmaru Suzuki

First is Ranmaru! One of my two Yuus, a squishy little magicless human who's based on the Grimm fairytale version of Rapunzel and the blind prince.

He would probably look up to her and may ask her questions about different things if he learns about her interests (e.g., asking how she comes up with ideas for inventing things) and with her dislike of loud noises, I can see Ranmaru being quite fond of being in her presence due to her being less overwhelmingly loud than other people he'd meet around NRC

This little guy is significantly less naïve than his brother in terms of noticing issues in social situations regarding how Ranmaru is treated. Of course, he's still quite young (and, as a ghost, he really didn't get much of a chance to socialize back at his home) so chances are if Mizuki makes a good first impression then he's less likely to have as much as an issue with her as he did Ace when he met Ranmaru.

Hibiki Suzuki

Next up I have Hibiki, Ranmaru's brother-turned-ghost after experiencing, well... The thing that makes the living into the not living. (He died)

He'd probably be fascinated by her ears tails - and he'd likely try to sneak up on her to touch the fluffy ears atop her head if he gets the chance (I wouldn't blame her if the icy feeling of a ghost child hand passing through her ear would annoy her though - it really isn't pleasant)

If he notices her doing anything to harm/endanger/bring harm to Ranmaru? She's probably gonna have to deal with stationary, ties, or other small-but-important items going missing/being moved around by the mischievous ghost. Of course, he'd also be very happy with befriending her! Would she like a companion to aid in any pranks on Crowley, perhaps?

Depending on her tolerance for chaotic, giggling, soot-covered pyromaniacs - I believe that Silas may be quite happy to befriend Mizuki! With her interest in inventing things, they may have a common interest (even if anything that comes from Silas' efforts has an approximate... 56.32% likelihood of blowing up in his face. But he likes his odds! He can take a good joke and is often willing to pull wacky stunts and set off messy hijinks if anyone he's acquainted with needs a diversion to do something.

Silas Kamaka

The next guy I have is Silas - an Ignihyde student of mine. He's a beastkin based on stitch - with big rabbit-like ears atop his head and a penchant for chaos.

Of course, her initial disposition may cause Silas to back off, and he can be quite difficult to tolerate if someone as crass and laid back as him may manage to get on their nerves (and he does not care for etiquette towards royalty or people of power in the slightest) but if they're compatible then I'd say that Silas is certainly very likely to befriend Mizuki if given the chance.

Honourable mentions because writing made my hand cramp:

Masayuki - Would be nervous/cautious as he usually is around fae/beastkin but could have his trust won fairly easily. May even ask Mizuki to babysit Aimi, his daughter, for him for a few minutes if he has to wrangle ADeuce. Would have a very negative reaction to any use of her UM on him though - loss of autonomy is not a fun time for this lad.

Aiko - Gal pal excitement! Mizuki would probably be on the receiving end of a bunch of compliments regarding her appearance and questions on how she styles her hair and the sort upon meeting (Aiko is tired of all the guys at NRC being dicks is all) However she isn't as Naïve as Ranmaru despite her eagerness to make friends with Mizuki.

Aimi - Aiko and Masayuki's daughter would probably be her giggly happy infant self in Mizuki's presence (just keep the grabby baby hands away from her hair because she may end up tugging on it a bit as babies do)

I've been thinking about this on and off so I'm probably going to be free writing this off the top of my head (thank u ♥)

Okay so Iggy is a third year so she's been there as long as Idia has. ....I don't know if I've written down her past on here before?? This might get kinda long. Under a cut it goes!!

Iggy came to NRC an orphan, scarred and traumatized from the loss of her entire family in a massive conflagration that took the her childhood home. The only survivor, she lost her mother, father and two younger siblings. The fire burned not only exceedingly hot, but in vibrant shades of purple and blue. I'll eventually get around to why that is if anyone is interested.

So basically when she arrived at NRC right after that, having nowhere else to go anyway, Idia was... scary. Lol His hair reminded her of what very vividly of what she'd just experienced only a few months before.

Despite being in the same dorm, I think she probably avoided him as much as he avoided social interaction with the majority of the student body. (Not knowing much about the dorm, or Idia yet, or when he became the head of Ignihyde kinda suuuucks when writing out this stuff.)

It was probably at least in the latter half of the first year, or maybe even into the second, for the mere sight of him to no longer trigger any kind of traumatic memory, especially as she began to repress a lot of it and come out of her shell. For her first year at NRC she was just as reclusive as he was.

As she began to grow more accustomed to the school and the students, the chaotic way of life that is NRC (minus the Overblots, as those apparently didnt start til Yuu arrived??) she regretted the way she had treated Idia, essentially running from him everytime she saw him as rare as that was. But trying to find out more about him/speak with him funnily enough ended up the same way, with him bolting from her. So she started talking to Ortho, interested in not only his older brother, but everything about HIM as well. Ortho is such a sweetheart, his appearance certainly one of a kind at NRC, and as an Ignihyde student she was curious about his life.

Iggy was already a giant nerd for technology (marrying it with magic a lot of the time), music, anime and gaming. So honestly I think that Ortho probably helped with getting the two together, or at least to a place where Idia would talk to Iggy. It probably started through his tablet, or online before he might have felt comfortable enough to talk to her in person. The latter probably took a good 6 months or more. At that point she already had a gigantic crush on this tall otaku dork.

There might have been a bit of a backslide in their talking in person when the first time they did she immediately confessed and his fiery hair, and his face, flared up. She paled considerably but managed to squash her own desire to flee from that (she's done a lot of work to repress her past and the emotions that came with it)... even as he muttered a long line of sentences under his breath and took off for his room.

It took another week for her to convince him that she meant what she had said, and that she didnt think he was weird or that his hair was scary or any of the other negative things she'd started to become familiar with him saying about himself.

Honestly, from the first time they knew about one another, it probably took til almost the middle of their second year for them to start very tentatively dating. Tentatively on his end because Iggy is very.. forward and open about her feelings not only toward him but kind of toward everything. In that regard she's pretty much his exact opposite. She tries to not push him with anything he finds extremely worrying or uncomfortable, but she's a very affectionate and open person, giving him space when he needs it but always ready to run at him in the hallway (whenever he has to leave his room) because she's anything but ashamed of her feelings for him.
