I've been doing some korok hunting in botw lately and challenged myself to find 800 of them before consulting a guide and. ever since hitting 700 it's been so slow. you'd think finding 100 little creatures scattered throughout the map would be easy when there's 200 left. you'd be very very wrong.

It's 2am and I am actually losing my mind because I cannot find my 120th shrine in botw. Where is it!!!!! Where the FUCK is it!!!! I've been around the entire world, Where is it Hiding. I cannot believe this.

So I was playing botw earlier and was riding when I had to go away and get rid of some monsters, and once I finished I thought to whistle for my horse because she was close enough, right? So I whistle and whistle and nothing happens and I think "what the fuck I can literally see her icon on the mini map?? Girl??" So I go and follow her icon on the mini map and see she's moving? But I can't hecking see her? At all? So I follow her icon and finally I spot her and
Girl HOW did you get in the river??? I literally parked you on the road???? Why would you fall down the river???? And I'm like ugh fine I'll follow you we'll find a way up I suppose BUT THEN
She fucking. Gets stuck on the geometry, continuing to swim while also being on something the game considers ground, not knowing what to do. and I just. Mondlicht why. Why did you jump down into the river.
She didn't even seem to be aware of her precarious situation. This is the face of someone who doesn't understand she's in perpetual limbo now. fucking DUMBASS.

Got my hands on a switch today so I could Finally start playing botw and Oops it's now 1 AM but also I need to share that my first death was from falling from the tower. which is embarrassing. because it's just after the cutscene where she's like I'm in the Castle, Go And Save This World and immediately after that my recklessness and stupidity find myself dead at the bottom of the tower having taken fatal fall damage. Hilarious.

Like. this is especially frustrating because I am ready to end this, I am ready to speak the last lines of the play, I am ready to deck ganon in the face. But I absolutely cannot let the shrine count sit at 119 when I know there's only one left. If I had 2 left then maybe I'd say "fuck it were going to the castle", if I had 3 left I would absolutely ignore them and beat the game. But. The one missing is making me lose my mind. Arghhhh

Not all of this was frustrating tho, I learned how to windbomb as well and it's soooooo fun. So so fun. nyoom

I FOUND IT, I FUCKING FOUND IT. HOLY SHIT.
I had come to the decision that if I didn't find it before finishing the champions' ballad (which I didn't) I would give up on it and Finish the Game. And then I take a ride on my fresh new motorcycle omw to prep for ganon and check out a place I've been to waaaay back early in the game and go "!!!! This is IT!!". fuck this shrine in particular but I am so happy that I found it 1) before finishing the game, 2) without looking it up. Aaaah!!!!!

So I googled how many shrine quests there are in the game total (42) and then counted how many I've done and can someone explain to me how I'm apparently missing 2 shrine quests when I have 119 of 120 shrines. ??????????????????
