Another batch of recs for @totaldramaficrecweek comin' up! Days 5 through 7.

Day 5 (19 July): Favourite Gen Fic

Too Many Cooks Spoil The Spaghetti by courtney-deserved-better, a re-write of "If You Can't Take The Heat…" with different characters who get into different wacky situations than in canon. I liked how the other characters played matchmaker with DJ and Duncan -- so sweet! The Gwen & Tyler focus was also really great. It's so rare to see them interact in fic, which is a shame since I like their dynamic. This one has plenty of soul and was fun to read.

For this next rec, I actually searched around for one I've never read before writing this list and found Team CIRRRRH's Descent Into Foam World by PPP SSC, (warning, it's only on FanFiction.Net.) Alejandro tells a spooky story right before his team begins mysteriously disappearing... Spooky! The ending makes it though, as I feel it's formulaic and too cartoony for my taste otherwise.

Day 6 (20 July): Favourite Romance

You Make My Knees Turn to Jelly by CerendaRoth, which is a Nowen futurefic. Aquarium dates are the cutest and it was nice to see these two live comfortably even after doing the reality show circuit -- for Nowen in particular I'm a sucker for fluff.

Day 7 (21 July): Overall Favourite

Brick_bronze165's Aletyler week 2023 by Brick_bronze165, a series of seven Aletyler one-shots written as a sort of personal ship week. I read each part of this when they came out, and I still occasionally reread them, since I love the ship and all the ways Brick_bronze165 explored it. The fics aren't incredible on face value, but I live on Aletyler scraps and this is like a buffet LOL.
