U can hate on Eren all you want but in the end itâs just because you are bitter and jealous that he became more loved and popular than Levi and everyone who binges the show now seeâs that clear as day. You hate the fact that Eren isnât perfect so you spew hateful rhetoric about how awful of a person he is. Well guess what everyone still loves him and thinks of him as the best character by a landslide. Levi wishes he has as much depth and character as him yet he doesnât even have character development let alone that much impact to the story. Levi is an average character at best, thereâs nothing special about him.
What's that? I'm having a hard time understanding you with Levi buried balls deep in your mouth.
#lol#hateful rhetoric about Eren#your definition of hateful rhetoric is just me stating facts about his character#I really loved the part where Levi kicked Eren's teeth in and when Eren cried like a total bitch at the end#what a man#and double lol#Eren isn't âperfectâ#Yeah#committing mass genocide because you're a selfish little asshole definitely qualifies him as imperfect#but hey we all make mistakes right?#cut the little fucker some slack#we'd obviously all commit mass genocide in the same position#except nobody else did#just Eren#now why don't you get in line with Floch so you can get on your knees for him#meanwhile Levi'll take him from behind and make him scream his name just as he comes from how much he likes it

Sometimes I'm still a bit confused about Levi's choice or rather with Isayama's philosophy about death. Like yes Levi let Erwin rest to preserve his humanity and free him from his guilt and suffering right? But that sounds like people that are broken never have a chance of healing, which kinda contradicts Levi's ending because Levi (seemingly) was able to atleast find peace, and also how him and Hange were talking about how Erwin would be excited and try to feed the car carrots and buy the whole ice cream cart. Sometimes it feels like Levi gave up on Erwin, because he clearly didn't believe Erwin is broken to the point he can't heal, am I wrong? Idk I just feel like it contradicts itself sometimes and I don't like this philosophy of death being the only way to heal/save someone especially when it contradicts itself with the ending. Like i realise Levi has a different personality and is stronger mentally but the way Isayama and co. talked about how much Erwin's death affected him and how much Levi loves Erwin and how Levi is Erwin's stronghold, and also that Isayama or Kamiya quote that goes something like "To Levi, as long as Erwin was okay and as long as he was by his side, everything will be ok" it's just kinda hard to believe that death was the only way to save Erwin especially because he didn't neccesarily wanna die? I hope you understand my question, I was kinda rambled a bit there my bad đ
Anonymous asked
Levi letting Erwin rest feels a bit like he was beyond saving and sometimes I have a hard time accepting the philosophy, especially since Isayama contradicts that mindset in his own writing sometimes. I don't think Levi thinks Erwin was beyond saving, and if he did it seems like he gave up on Erwin kinda? Erwin didn't seem suicidal, he was just burdened with guilt but also Levi was his stronghold? It's hard making sense of Levi's choice sometimes tbh, he himself seems like he thinks life is worth living even if the world is shit, because there are some things worth living for, even though there will always be pain and something missing. I don't know if you get my point hahaha but maybe you can explain your view of this? Especially because Levi says he has no regrets makes me think doesn't he ever think of what could have been or if he did something different? I know he's the type of person to not look back because you canât change it anyways, but he's still human and we know he thinks of Erwin like "If Erwin was here..." and he misses him. Help, I love eruri but i always had trouble with this.
Iâm going to answer both these asks together because I suspect theyâre from the same person. The first one has been in my inbox for months now, so I apologise for taking so long to answer.Â
So, this is an interesting one. As Anon has said, thereâs a perception among some fans that the reason Levi chose not to give Erwin the Titan serum, is that he had reached such chronic depths of despair and depression that the only way to save him was to let him die. Some fans are understandably unhappy about this because it implies that people with depression are beyond recovery, or as Anon puts it, âpeople that are broken never have a chance of healingâ. However thereâs a fundamental misunderstanding here about why Levi made the decision to let Erwin die. Itâs true that Erwin suffered from guilt and despair as he struggled to reconcile his desire to fulfil his dream with his duty to save humanity (despite the fact that both goals were entirely in line). And itâs true that in chapter 80 he said that there were many times that he thought it would be easier to die, however to understand Leviâs decision you need to turn to chapter 84. Leviâs initial decision is to use the Titan serum to revive Erwin, but there are two things that convince him to change his mind. The first is Flochâs insistence that Erwin is the devil who deserves to spend more time in hell because only the devil himself can destroy the Titans. (Floch was right about that, but he was wrong about who the devil was.) This is what starts to turn the tide and change Leviâs mind. Erwin had already become the devil because thatâs what humanity demanded of him and Levi did not want to drag him back to hell and compound his torment by turning him into a literal monster.Â
The second is his remembrance of Erwinâs pursuit of his dream, and Kennyâs parting words that âeveryone is a slave to somethingâ. Levi knew that Erwin was enslaved by his dream and he understood the toll that had taken on him, but he was able to give Erwin his humanity back by absolving him of his guilt and setting him on the path he knew he had to take. This is why Erwin looks at peace when he thanks Levi, and this is why Levi makes his decision. In death Erwin would finally be free from the hell of the world and his enslavement to his dream.Â
Isayama makes this crystal clear in the Character Encyclopaedia.Â
As to whether Levi regretted his decision, thatâs a different question. Itâs worth remembering that Leviâs no regrets philosophy isnât that you should never regret your actions, itâs that you should try to take the course of action youâll least regret, which is a bit different. By letting Erwin die, Levi took the path he believed he would regret the least, and later in the manga he is unequivocal that he has no regrets about not choosing to revive Erwin. This is hardly surprising given everything they have been through and the appalling odds they faced attempting to stop Erenâs catastrophic genocide. I donât think that means he doesnât miss Erwin though, itâs clear that Erwin, and the vow he swore to him are never far from his thoughts, right to the bitter end.
One thing Iâm curious about is why this argument has sprung up in recent years. I donât remember anyone interpreting Leviâs actions in this light when Midnight Sun was first published. I suspect itâs partly due to lack of familiarity with the supplementary materials such as the Answers book and Character Guide, where Isayama spells out his intentions, and partly due to the benefit of hindsight. People see Levi living his best life with Gabi, Falco and Onyankopon and are sad that Erwin isnât there, that he didnât have the opportunity to live on with Levi after the war. I understand that, Iâm sad that Erwin didnât live to see the end of the war too, but when I think about how much more of his humanity he would have had to sacrifice in order to get there, I canât help thinking that Levi made the right decision.Â

Break Me Slowly|Part 17|Yandere Levi x Evelyn
(A/N: Back into the writing game, keeping the chapters going and coming out hopefully on schedule. If they take a bit longer then they do but we'll see what happens! Also I'm making a lot of lore about the Titans so bare that with a grain of salt :) And Erwin is still alive for all this so it'll be kind of interesting to see what his output would have been if he was still alive)) WARNINGS: noncon, dubcon, manipulation, domestic abuse, yandere themes, forced marriage, forced pregnancy, stockholm syndrome, violence, mind breaking, misogyny, vaguely implied suicide, etc.
==========================================
Evelyn ran through the woods, ignoring the pounding in her ears as her heartbeat increased with each step. Where Levi was now she wasn't sure, she wasn't sure why she cared all that much. If she had an ounce of sense she would get rid of the child and be done with Levi, hope he died in whatever fresh hell awaited him in the forest. So then why did she care now? Why deep down was she hoping he'd be okay? There was something wrong with her, he was getting to her, maybe it was something he did, something that affected her like this.
Unexpectedly, a wave of guilt washes over her. This is what she wanted, she had begged, pleaded with Eren oh so long ago to get rid of Levi for her. She remembered sneaking out when that fool of a housekeeper, meant to be her guard, wasn't looking. They had met in secret, the three of them, Floch, Eren, and her sorry self. She was so desperate then, so desperate to escape. Eren could have been just another person who was going to turn her in to Levi, but he'd believed her. They both had.
"So what are you going to do about it?" Eren had asked.
"I don't know anymore, I've tried to escape, but he always knows where I am." She had been crying, hands raking through her hair as she tried to keep herself in check.
"But you don't have the guts to kill him. To put poison in his tea and be free. You're a slave."
Those words hurt, but they were right. She was a slave, something she could fix but she could never get the courage to actually do it. Her mind was conflicted with the reality of what he'd done to her versus the fond memories of childhood friendship. No matter how bad it got, she didn't think she could just kill him. If it failed....she probably wouldn't live to try it again.
"You're right, but I just can't do it. I'm too scared Eren....what should I do?"
Eren goes silent for a moment, thinking of how he wanted to go about things. Although they were never close, she knew Eren had a strong sense of justice, he had told her that his plan was to destroy Marley in a small scale Rumbling so that their biggest threat would be gone. That's what he needed her for, the conflict with Marley had taught her a lot when it came to the Titan she was too cowardly to use. Something regarding being the direct descendant of Ymir, a branch of the original daughters, the youngest who allegedly was shunned from the line of royalty and reduce to nothing more than a peasant. From what Eren had said that's what Evelyn's titan was, the original Titan of Ymir, separate from the Founder, a gift to the youngest. Now of course records were lost and things were jumbled, for all she knew Eren could be making it up to hide his true purpose. But for her freedom she would just have to trust him.
"Regardless of your situation, Levi's a problem. He could wreck everything we're trying to do." He pauses, formulating his thoughts. "I'll adjust the original escape plan. Maybe put a bug in Erwin's ear that Levi should be the one to guard him. He might be Humanity's Strongest, but it's impossible he could kill that many Titans and Zeke without a scratch." He stares her dead in the eyes. "I'll make sure he dies. But in return, I want you to swear your undying loyalty to me and the Jeagerists. Hange, Erwin, Levi, everyone important trusts you, we need someone higher up on the inside. Can you do that?"
Relief had rushed over her, thankful that soon it would be over, she would be free. She could go back to having a life, one free from his control and oppression.
"I swear it Eren, whatever it takes, I'm with you."
==========================================
Evelyn had meant it, back then. She had meant every word of what she said, determined to laugh on Levi's grave once Zeke was finished with him. Distract him long enough to give Zeke a head start, she had done her part of the job, now in a few short minutes Levi would be dead and she would be free.
So why did it hurt so much?
Why did every bone in her body ache to turn around and tell Zeke it had all been a mistake, she didn't mean it, to carry on his escape plan and let Levi live. Hatred burned in her heart, by why was the flame so small? Maybe it was fear of raising their child without a father, needing his support to live comfortably.
And yet, money and support were the last reasoning she came up with when it came to why she didn't want him dead.
It was him, purely him, where else would she have what he gave her? Not just wealth and stability, passion. Raw, needy, passion.
It was against her will, it was nothing she wanted, but if her body didn't crave it like he said, why had she been touching herself to the thought of it at night? Mimicking his fingers and movements, but it wasn't enough. He was primal, an animal, a monster even, so why did she wish for all of this to be over so he could throw her onto their bed and bend her over to use as he pleased? It was just the hormones, it had to be. This man hurt her, took everything, and yet she hoped he lived to be thoroughly fucked.
Evelyn shook her head to clear her head, reasoning there was nothing wrong with having basic needs that despite everything, he was able to fill. Nothing more than that. Just need. She could come to grips with this, being great in bed was reason enough to hope he didn't die, how would she get off without him? This was the explanation she stuck with, pushing down the other feelings, hoping they buried themselves as she reached her horse, riding back to where she came, glancing more than she liked to admit at the scene behind her.
=============================================
Shiganshina was just how she had left it, in chaos. All of those who didn't support Zeke and Eren were being rounded up, stripped of fancy titles and positions because they had been drunken fools. She hadn't faced Erwin and Hange yet, and frankly she didn't want to. Erwin could burn in hell for all she cared, but with Hange it was different. She couldn't blame her entirely for buying into Levi's lies, she trusted him, and Evelyn wasn't known to be the most mentally well, so when he told Hange that Evelyn had suffered a break down after the battle for Wall Maria it was believable. Still her feelings were mixed.
But it had to be done, according to Floch, who had been keeping them under lock and key, they had both been told of the reality of their situation, but not about Evelyn's loyalties. This was probably for the best, she should be the one to break it to her former closest friends that she had switched sides.
=============================================
Before she saw them she heard it.
"Where's Evelyn!? Did you do the same thing to her too!? She's been through too much already Floch, Levi said she was already fragile, are you really wanting to drive her to doing something tragic!?" Hange was screeching, while Erwin was calmly silent.
Floch smirked. "Actually, she's here, we brought her in."
Hange quieted down. "Well that's better, I swear if you gave her that tainted shit- or threatened her- if she has one of those black or red armbands Floch so help me-!"
She cuts herself off as Evelyn steps into the room, staring them straight on. "Hange, Commander."
Both of their gazes went from her face, landing on the white armband tied on her bicep.
And for the first time in her life, Evelyn saw the great Commander Erwin Smith's face contort in fear and horror.

Attack on Titan - Hajime Isayama Vol.32-33: The Torture Continues - A Commentary
-i like how we know these people so well and they know each other so well that they take cues from each other. like, if even mikasa wants to stop eren, then how can anyone else think otherwise, you know?
-FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT, FUCKING THANK YOU HANGE, "GENOCIDE IS WRONG" IT'S THAT SIMPLE SOMEONE SAID IT, THE REAL MVP AS ALWAYS. finally someone with common sense and resolve, someone not speaking in ifs and buts, finally, HANGE FINALLY!
-this is such a random group of allies i love it, it makes me smile
-i feel so safe with hange, a voice of logic, oh my god.
-listen, i'm not even joking, eren's VERY CONSPICUOUS ABSENCE makes me so much less emotionally unstable that i can actually enjoy these conversations, like i'm happy to be here again
-i'm sorry, i know it's a tense moment, but lmao at levi's zzz panel
-part of me thinks that if we just don't see eren again, if we just randomly hear that he was stopped, i'll be fine. it would be terrible storytelling ofc but it hurts so much seeing eren like that, seeing his face and have him say and do these things
-what the fuck are you talking about, jean? armin has been saying that everyone should talk it over with everyone a hundred times over.
-WHEN DID LEVI BECOME THE TENSION RELIEF IN THIS GODDAMN MANGA OH MY GODÂ
-jean's 'i can't forgive you' to reiner while they're still allied for their goal, i love this.
-the panels of levi sleeping with the zzz i cannot
-no offense, is armin going to do any impressive thinking post-time skip or...
-it's nice how everyone apologizes to everyone (before rocks fall and everyone dies courtesy of eren, lol. lol?)
-armin and connie acting their little hearts out to the yeagerists, bless
-MISS KIYOMI GOING IN FOR THE KILL!
-aww seeing armor titan and female titan fight together
-this is the second time connie's saving armin's ass
-i am actually happy to be reading this now that eren isn't hurting us by showing his face. like, if you put aside for a sec WHY this is happening... it's very exciting to see what comes next
-does sensei want to kill everyone here on the port, bc he's taken out the colossus titan, he's taken out humanity's strongest soldier...
-ooooh falco's jaw titan looks different than galliard's!
-i don't want y'all to fight anymore either, annie, and not with eren either, what are we gonna do :'(
-oh no. oh no is this eren pov? am i about to get unhinged again? oh no. go back to your conspicuous absence, devil child, why do you hurt me so. i miss you. but you make me suffer.
-the fuck? ZEKE tells EREN there's no ingrained behavior to the ackermans?! so then...
-i hate this. i understand that it's all to protect them, but i hate this, eren. baby they can't live happy lives. WHY DID YOU SHOW YOU FACE, I WAS DOING FINE, I WAS HAVING FUN, YOU'RE IMBALANCING MY HOMEOSTASIS
-eren's new form, huh. god this makes me so sad
-'but i just can't accept an end like that' lmao me reading this manga
-eren please THERE WAS ANOTHER WAY, THERE MUST HAVE BEEN, THERE MUST BE
-okay clearly i should stop hoping right here, there's no redemption from this. there's no redemption when we're shown innocent deaths at eren's will. okay. this is it then
-see, armin is a person also disappointed with the outside world that DIDN'T choose genocide, wow shocker, right eren?
-MIKASA'S FACE WHEN SHE SEES ANNIE WATCHING ARMIN
-levi i love you. stay safe
-what did mikasa want, armin to run after annie and kiss her or sth? mikasa you're projecting
-ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME IS FLOCH UNKILLABLE WHATÂ
-like, in what universe did eren think the gang would NOT be in danger, that there wouldnât be a good possibility that his own titans would trample his own people
-heh. armin the 15th commander :)
-OH SHUT UP "dedicate your heart" OH SHUT UP LEVI SHUT UP HANGE SHUT UP
-shine, my love. shine, hange. goodbye.
-"goodbye. hange. just watch us." who decided to give levi all the poignant lines, who. THEY HIT THE HARDEST BC IT'S LEVI!
-is there. is there an actual possibility that eren just... kills them all? surely not?
-NO! NO! AFTERLIFE SCENE?!?! I DID NOT EXPECT THIS FROM ATTACK ON TITAN, THANK YOU FOR THIS!!! ERWIN!! AND THEY'RE ALL WATCHING! THEY'RE ALL WATCHING!!
-a little quick it was, hange's death scene, but they did get the afterlife scene, so i won't dwell.
-oh! commander armin actually lets us in on the plan beforehand! that's unusual for stories! that probably means it'll all go to shit
-this is exactly what the founding titan looks like, but why does it look so funny in armin's drawing
-man, i want to give mikasa such a big hug. her face.
-the thing is. armin especially, and everyone, are trying to analyze eren's mindset, like 'maybe he's testing us' or whatever, and every time we SEE eren it's actually a simple "RAWR DEATH!"
-humanizing eren through reiner because we actually HAVE humanized reiner through endless chapters. that's interesting
-WE HAVE BEEN SUMMONED! ALL HAIL EREN! ALL SHALL LOVE/NOT-LOVE HIM AND DESPAIR. i don't want to see what happens, i'm sure it'll be nothing good :')
-mikasa's plea is the best. share the sins that they're all guilty of
-ah, what wouldn't i give for a simple ass-kicking from levi to eren
-eren will fight us? :â(((. i can't believe that. i know i said i'd renounce all hope, but i am so sad. i am so sad. mikasa what do we do? whatever you say, i'll follow your lead
-the plot armor is strong on the marleyan cast's families
-yes, cool, everyone wants world peace two seconds before they die
-all due respect, i don't see how the 104th can do anything about this now that the power of friendship failed
-'We'll use all our (seven) forces to destroy him!" rocks fall everyone dies - in the literal sense.
-WHY ARE YOU YELLING EREN'S NAME AS YOU FALL ARMIN WHY ARE YOU BREAKING MY HEART WHY DO YOU KEEP REMINDING ME WHO EREN IS (or was, or should be) WHY HAVE MERCY
-eren be like, feel free to fight on my skeleton back yâall
-JESUS WITH THE SCHOOL CASTES ALREADY, YOU'RE TOYING WITH MY FEELINGS
#attack on titan#attack on titan manga#manga#manga commentary#in other news i've finally come to terms with the fact that i simply don't like jjk#it's so liberating. no trying to like it. no regrets.

the bachelorette chp 4, part 3: visiting jeanâs mom
an: so, i decided i'd write the elimination in a separate chapter, one, just to mess with y'all and two, to give you time. i honestly think picking one of these three guys is really hard. obviously, i know who i want to win, but i look at the two other guys and i'm like 'oh, they would be good too!'. i like pulling at your heartstrings ;). i'll probably put together another q&a (depending on the numbers of questions i get) and once i do that, i'll wait for a day and then close the poll to start writing! anyways, let me stop sharing my thought process with yall and start your date with jean. link at the bottom!

Bertholdt drove you back to the mansion and you texted Connie asking him to prepare something for you, Bertholdt. Jean and Connie to eat. And maybe a lil something for that brat Levi. Connie responded with an 'ok' and a smiley face.
The car ride home was silent. You felt awful for Bertholdt. You wondered how many silent post-hospital drives he's been through.
Once you got home, Bertholdt told you he wasn't very hungry and just wanted to lay down. You wanted to argue with him but Bertholdt needed space. You wish him good night before making your way to the kitchen.
Connie and Jean were chatting it up in the kitchen once you walked in. Connie was the one to announce your entrance. "Hey, y/n," he greets. Jean then turns around. "Hey, y/n. How is Bert holding up? I understand that visit was really hard."
"Thank you for asking, Jean. Bertie...well...he's just being human. His dad...it's really bad," you reply. You take a seat by Jean at the kitchen island. "The fact that he's been holding in for a while...it's crazy. I would have never thought he was in that situation. No wonder he was so stressed after that Porco got angry with him," Jean says. You raise an eyebrow at Jean. "Oh...after Porco got angry with him about you, Bert seemed sadder and more introverted than usual. He only really confided in Reiner, though," Jean explained.
"Ah, that makes sense. Poor Bertie."
Connie had made some garlic bread with ava ado toast and egg. You didn't expect that out of him but you all enjoyed it. You felt tired, so you told the guys you were ready to lay down. They wished you good night before diving into a conversation about...y'all i don't even know what men talk about
The next morning, you woke up at the same time as you did for Connie's visit. Your final visit would be Jean's mom. She also lived far away from the mansion but Jean insisted that you could take your time. She would still be at her home. No nurses to rush you out or kids bugging their parents. You hoped this visit would be as peaceful as it sounded.
You were very hungry though. You didn't realize it last night about the whole Bertholdt thing and you only had those little stupid avocado things that Connie made. It was good but didn't feel you up. You decided you would take a bath and get ready for your visit later.
You crept downstairs, hoping not to wake anyone up. You didn't want Levi questioning you and you didn't want to stop and talk to the boys because you would probably have a day-long conversation and if that conversation was with Jean, you probably wouldn't see his mom.
You made a few turns and found yourself in the kitchen. And you weren't alone. Jean was leaning on the kitchen counter, sipping on some coffee that he had made. His eyebrows widened at your presence.
"Good morning," he greeted, "I didn't expect you to be up right now."
"Oh, I'm just hungry right now. Didn't eat much yesterday," you say. Jean places his coffee down on the table. "Would you like me to make you something?"
You were about to say yes but a greater idea came into mind. "Why don't we make something together? It would be fun and give you bonus points..." You wiggle your eyebrows when you say that last part. Jean let out a laugh. "Well, you're hungry and I can't let you starve. Us working together will make things faster...and those 'bonus points' would help a lot."
You walk towards Jean and his eyes remain on you. You find yourself wrapping his arms around his waist. It was just on-demand. Jean pulls you close and kisses your forehead. "What do you wanna make?"You think for a minute. "You know how to make (meal of your choice)?"
Whether Jean says yes or no is up to you. However, Jean is really good at following directions. If you need something, he'll get it. If you needed him to watch something, he watches it with intensity.
After a few minutes, the meal was ready and you both sat by the kitchen island and dug in. "I hope Connie doesn't wake up and butt into our breakfast," you joke. Jean let out a small laugh. "Connie's really nice. He hasn't shown me or anyone else any hostility during our time here."
"If you could say...who did you think was the worst person here?" you ask. Jean doesn't even have to wait to answer. "I'd have to Floch. Confidence is key but Floch just got disrespectful about it. Talking about how we should all go home and let him have you. And he was only here one night and everyone already had a bad vibe about him."
Your heart panged at that answer. "Thank you for telling me. I know everyone likes drama but Floch sounds...dangerous. I don't know what would have happened if he stayed." "Yeah, of course. Sorry if that made you uncomfortable," Jean said sheepishly. The discomfort must have been visible on your face. "No, don't apologize. I asked."
You continued to eat your breakfast and chat and hear about Jean's experience in the mansion so far.
After breakfast, you and Jean got ready for the day and finally decided to head out. Jean was starting his car when you decided to ask another question.
"I've never heard you talk about your dad. I've heard bits about your mom and you've mentioned her to the other guys but I never hear about your father. He isn't dead right? Is he sick? Like Bertholdt's?"
Jean is silent for a minute. "Oh...I don't really like talking about my dad, but you would have to know at some point."
"Oh, Jean...you don't have to. Don't worry about it."
He shakes his head. "It's fine. We were going to have this conversation pretty soon, so it doesn't matter."
Jean starts moving the car and when he's out on the road, he begins to talk.
"My dad has never been in my life. At this point, I don't know if he's dead or not. Sometimes I feel like he isn't my father. We did talk like once or twice when I was a kid and I was actually desperate to see him. But once I reached high school and started preparing for my adult life, I realized he wasn't worth it anymore. If my dad really wanted to be there for me, he would have reached out more often and let me know that things were hard on his end. I know everything I'm saying is being recorded and broadcasted, so if he ever sees me on TV, he can always hit me up. I just won't be naĂŻve and stupid like I was the last time."
You immediately jump in after that last line. "Hey. You weren't naĂŻve or stupid. He was stupid. You were a kid waiting on his dad. You had every right to wait for him, so don't insult yourself over him."
Deep down inside, you weren't sure if you wanted to meet Jean's dad...if he was alive. Jean didn't seem comfortable talking about him at all, so you shouldn't expect any visits or calls from that man. If you were to have kids and he popped up, that'd be hard to deal with. It would probably break Jean's heart to learn that his father would want to see his grandkids before even meeting the guy who helped make them.
Jean doesn't respond to what you said. Again, this was hard for him and he didn't even want to bring his father up in the first place, so you weren't upset.
You end up falling asleep in the car. Hours later, you wake up and Jean is parked in front of a bakery. He's on the phone. "Yeah, ma, we're here. Right in front of it, she's sleeping but we'll head inside....I miss you too...alright then, bye."
Jean hangs up and places the phone down. He jumps slightly when he realizes you're awake. "H-hey. I thought you were sleeping."
"Well, I was. Your mom is ready to see us?" You ask. "Yeah. She owns this bakery and decided to close completely today to meet you. I asked her if we could meet at home but she insisted that her bakery would be best. She's really proud of it," Jean explains. "Are we going to bake something?"
Jean laughs and shakes his head no. "Oh, no. My mom won't let you do any work in there, since you're a special guest. She put some things together if you want to eat something."
You imagined Jean's mother as someone who prioritized her future-in-law over her own son sometimes. It sounds overbearing but you thought this was a good thing. You wouldn't want an evil mother or father-in-law. If Jean were to cheat on you or hurt you, you knew she'd probably be on your side or hear both sides instead of immediately siding with her son.
You also wanted to assume that she was tough on Jean. Considering that she raised him herself, she had to do other things like work. To give herself some peace, she probably had a no-nonsense household- maybe why Jean was more like a puppy and wasn't as scandalous as the eliminated.
Jean got out of the car and helped you out. He didn't take your hand when directing you to the bakery but opened the door for you. Inside was a short, older woman, standing there with her hands clasped. The minute you stepped in, her excitement exploded. "Hi! Welcome! It's finally nice to meet you," she says. The older woman squeezes and you can't help but let out a chuckle...or a wheeze. "H-hey, mom. Maybe you should let her go," Jean steps in nervously. Jean's mom slowly lets go. "I'm sorry! I just got excited. Are you hungry?"
You shake your head. "No, Mrs. Kirstein. Jean actually helped me put together breakfast."
"Good, good. I'm glad he's being useful! And call me June. Come, sit, sit."
Jean's mom takes your hand and leads you to a small table and pulls open a chair for you. Jean quietly pulls a chair up by you. You start to worry about him because all the attention is on you, rather than the both of you.
"Can I get you something to drink?" June asks. "Some water would be nice," you answer. Your eye catches Jean's hand. You place your own on his and you feel him jump slightly. "Jean, would you like something too?"
"I-I'll take water too," Jean croaks. "Well, Jean, I'm sure you can serve yourself. I'm getting old, you know. Make sure you get a glass for y/n too."
Jean looks ready to argue back but he keeps his lips zipped. He carefully removes your hand from
his, gets up, and heads over to the back of the bakery.
You watch Jean do all of this and then finally turn away so that you can give June all your attention. "Please tell me he's been good to you," she starts. You weren't expecting this question but considers why she's asking. "Yes, Jean is...amazing. He's always coming to my defense. Which I shouldn't be surprised by, he is a lawyer."
June sighs in relief. "I hope he stays that way. He told you...about our situation right?" You nod. "It's unfortunate that his father did that to the both of you. If Jean does get married to me, I hope he doesn't pop out of anywhere. Jean's a good guy but I'm not too sure how he'll react to something like that." June let's our a small hum.
"Have you been watching the show?" you ask. "A little. I work, so it's hard to catch up on what's going on. Sometimes I'll read articles and Jean will text me to let me know if he didn't get eliminated. I was a little concerned about him doing the show because nothing is guaranteed."
"Hm...is he cocky about this whole thing? Does he really think he can get me?"
June thinks for a moment. "I can't say cocky but there's nothing wrong with a little confidence. Jean is handsome, he has a good job, he's smart- and he knows that. He believed those would be good reasons for you to like him. But...he does get bashful sometimes. He doesn't want all the attention on him and for people to view him in the wrong way. The fact that he had a mirror in his pocket on the first night was interesting to me. He's never done anything like that before."
You open your mouth but Jean enters once more. He places three water bottles on the table. "Sorry for taking too long. Ma, I'll replace the waters. Don't worry about it," he says. June shakes her head. "Don't worry about it, Jean. We have plenty of water."
"So, have you two discussed wedding plans? Anything for the future?" June suddenly asks. You look at Jean, who looks like his stomach was doing the chacha slide or sum. "M-mom-!"
"Well, we haven't reached that point because we don't know if he's staying or not but I'd like a really elegant wedding. I know we'll have a live-streamed wedding but I'd like to have a private wedding too. That would be nice right?" you cut in. Jean nods in agreement.
"What about kids? I read somewhere that you wanted a family," you tease. Jean's face reddened. "W-well...um...yeah...two would be nice. A girl and b-boy maybe?"
"See? We have a plan," you say with a wide smile. You could imagine Jean as a cautious dad but he still knew how to have fun with his kids. After long days at work, he'd cuddle with them and put them to sleep for you. When the kids are asleep, he'll check on you and make sure you had something to eat. He'd probably make sure to schedule regular date nights and family vacations. He'll have photos of you and the kids and maybe a few bandages in a wallet. Obviously, you would both be in the public eye once in a while but he would make things feel normal.
"I think you two would have beautiful kids. I do hope Jean gets picked. But your two other guys are good too. Bertholdt is absolutely adorable and Connie seems like he knows what he's doing. I don't know how you're ever going to choose. I can't imagine being your situation," June says.
"Wow, thanks for having my back mom," Jean says jokingly. "But if not me, pick Connie. He's a good person."
"Oh, Jean, don't do that to yourself. You're lovely." You cup his cheek and his reddened face returns.
Jean's mom starts talking about Jean when he was a kid- how he was such a big softie and a great helper, how he was popular in high school but still to himself, and all the girlfriends and boyfriends that she didn't like.
It was getting late. Jean's mom offered you her home but Jean stopped her before she could ask. You didn't question why he didn't want to stay at her home but still wondered why. You said your goodbyes, watched her lock the bakery, and drive off. Jean helps you into his car and gets into the drivers' seat.
"You know why she wanted to you go home with her?" he asks.
You shake your head no. "There's only one bed. A twin size bed," Jean says as he starts the car. You let out a chuckle. "Connie's parents tried that with us except Connie had a bigger bed."
Jean looks over at you. "Oh...I should have probably taken her offer."
"Connie and I didn't do anything that night...maybe you could give me a sample of what you can do. It'll help me decide."
Jean didn't hesitate to lean over and cup your cheek. He went in first. Jean was gentle and careful with your lips. You soon gave in and wrapped a hand on his wrist. When things started to get hot, you pulled away. "Didn't expect you to be that gentle...You really want me, huh?"
"Yeah," Jean says scratching his neck. "You're pretty rough... you have experience?"
Whether you say yes or no is up to you.
Jean smiles at your answer and starts driving. You try to fall asleep but it's so hard. All you can see is Bertholdt, Connie, and Jean at the next elimination. You wished Eren or Onyankopon did stupid stuff later on and were a part of the final three so that this could be easier.
Hours later, Jean reaches the mansion. He thinks you're still asleep. He doesn't want to wake you up. So what does he do? Jean opens the passenger door and scoops you up in his arms. Your heart jumps. You hope it's dark enough outside so that he can't see the small smile you're trying not to crack.
It doesn't Jean long to get to the door and ring the doorbell. He must be really strong. The door opens and he's greeted by Connie.
"You need help with that man?"
"Um...no...I think I'll get her up there. But you could get her purse from my car though. She'll probably wonder where that is."
Connie probably gave him a non-verbal response since there was just silence after that. Jean got you up the stairs and struggled with your bedroom door but he got in within ten minutes. Jean turns on your lights, places you on the bed, and removes your shoes. He steps away but you hear ripping sounds proceeding by scribbling. You can hear Jean turning off your lights and closing the door behind him as he leaves. Your eyes flick open and you wait a few moments. You turn on the light on your bed stand to see the note Jean wrote you.
'Wasn't sure what to do with your clothes. It's not my place to decide that- at least not yet. But I hope you slept comfortably.'
You smile softly at the note. It was definitely something he would say.
i use YOUR opinions to not only put together dates but to put together personalities. if yâall say you hate bertholdt, iâll work my magic to mess with yâall :) anyways hereâs the link! ask good questions. this is the last time youâll see bertholdt, jean, OR connie. vote and ask wisely

The repeated buzzing of your phone and the sound of your alarm shoved you out of a comfortable sleep. You had been dreaming about pleasant things before being pulled back into your reality. With your dream forgotten, you grumpily reached out to your sheet-covered phone, fumbling around to untangle the cord from the blankets. Upon its pickup, the bright screen flashed in your face and when your eyes adjusted to the exposure, they widened at what they saw.
Hitch's old contact was displayed in a notification banner from two hours before. "Having fun with your girlfriend?" you mumbled the text aloud. "For your information, I am." You glared at the words onscreen as if Hitch could see you through them. You thought it'd be best not to give her the attention she wanted from you. Irritably, you cleared the notification and tossed your phone on the mattress as you got up and stretched.
You fixed your hair and rubbed the sleep from your eyes before leaving your room with a sour look on your face. However, everything seemed to get a little better when you arrived in the kitchen, seeing your friends laughing together at the island like nothing happened between them.
Mikasa looked so different than the last time you saw her and you couldn't shake it. It wasn't a bad thing. You always thought she was beautiful. Her features had matured and she had a different presence, resulting in a different reaction from you. You could barely look her in the eyes without feeling flustered.
"Good morning, sunshine!" Jean jeered, startling you from your thoughts. Eren snickered as he handed you a cup of coffee.
He lowered his head to whisper in your ear. "Take a picture, it'll last longer." You nearly dropped your mug from his teasing jest.
"I see you still aren't a morning person." Mikasa smiled at you and you felt butterflies begin to rise in your stomach.
You nervously cleared your throat and pulled out the stool next to hers. "I like your hair."
Her eyes shifted to the strands that fell near the front of her face. Color bloomed on her cheeks. "Thank you. It was just in the way when it was long," she said quietly.
Armin approached the kitchen island with his phone in between his shoulder and his ear and his lips pressed into a thin line. He slid a bowl of cereal over to you. You thanked him and he just nodded with a smile before going back to whisper shouting suspiciously into the phone. They went to the other room, leaving you with your bandmates and Mikasa.
From the corner of your eye, you saw Eren pick up his phone and start typing furiously. Jean peeked over his shoulder and grinned. "Reiner? What's he up to?"
The name caught your attention and you looked up from your cereal curiously. "He wants us to go out with everyone again," Eren informed, everyone meaning a bunch of people you went to high school with and somehow ended up friends with all of them.
"Does he know I'm back?" Mikasa asked.
Jean shrugged. "We didn't tell him. Y/n told Sasha and Connie, though."
"Yeah, they're the only ones who know. In our friend group, I mean. We had to tell Hannes since he's the band manager and if you just showed up it'd probably give the poor guy a heart attack. It could be a nice surprise if we don't tell the group and just show up with her, though." Eren schemed.
"That would be so funny! Can you imagine the look on their faces when they see her?" In an attempt to imitate his friends, Jean made eccentric hand gestures and expressions.
"How would we get her in without telling them? If Reiner's planning, he'll need to know who's going to make a reservation," you asked logically, eyebrows furrowing.
Eren's face contorted into a thoughtful expression. He paused for a moment. "I've got it! We just say Y/n is bringing a plus one she wants them to meet," he said casually.
Jean took a large bite of his toast and pointed at Eren. "Sometimes you can be smart," he said with a mouthful of food. Eren looked both disgusted and offended.
You raised an eyebrow. "Why do I have to be the one bringing somebody?"
"It might give them hope of you not staying single forever." Eren gave you a stupid smile while you narrowed your eyes at him.
"I could find someone if I wanted to. You shouldn't be talking. It's not like you've ever been in a relationship," you chided back. He scowled.
"You never know, I might just fuck Floch out of spite." He glared. You laughed in surprise.
"Floch? Really? Even you could do better than that pinwheel." When he heard your insult, Jean snorted into his coffee and accidentally spilled some on his shirt.
"Damn, now I have to wash this shirt again." He groaned and rolled his eyes. Eren let out a boisterous laugh at his misfortune.
"That's what you get for laughing, hoe!"
"Oh, have a little sympathy, Jaeger," he grumbled while Mikasa grabbed a handful of napkins for him.
"Who's Floch?" Mikasa asked with befuddlement.
You whistled. "A real piece of work, that's what he is. He just doesn't stop flirting with me whenever I visit Connie at his job even though I've made it clear I'm not interested."
A sour look etched her features for a split second before she looked down at her empty plate. "Oh."
You frowned and glanced at Jean who was desperately trying to keep his shirt from staining. Eren was still trying to catch his breath as he went back to texting who you assumed was Reiner. Your suspicions were proven correct when he happily announced that everything was set for the dinner taking place that Friday night. Two days away.
He practically skipped into the hallway being followed by an aggravated Jean. You continued eating your breakfast while Mikasa got up started cleaning her dishes. Carefully, you eyed the way she slipped past you and wondered if you should say anything to her. You swiveled around in your seat and asked the question you were sure everyone was wondering.
"Where did you go when you left?"
Mikasa lifted her head and glanced over her shoulder at you. "I told the guys all about it while you were asleep so I'll explain it to you too." You nodded intently as she shifted her body to lean against the sink.
"At first I was just traveling around to see where I fit best. I ended up back in college for a year but none of it felt right, you know? What I love doing is playing in the band with all of you. I wasn't having as good of a time as I would here. I tried convincing myself I wanted to do school but it wasn't working out. I did a lot of thinking and noticed I was only running away from my problems and the people I loved. That's when I decided to come home."
You exhaled softly. Her brief explanation assured you that she wasn't going to leave again. "So you're coming back to the band?"
She looked off and shrugged again. "Hopefully I will. A lot has probably changed with you guys since I left. I haven't performed in a long time. I also haven't been involved with paparazzi for a while, either. It'll be hard getting used to that. Glad to see Hannes still puts up with you all."
You grinned. "Yeah, I don't know how he does it. Especially with Eren's dramatics. That's goood to hear, though. I missed you a lot."
She smiled at you genuinely. "I missed you too. Don't tell the others, but I probably missed you more." She winked and bit her lower lip. You flushed and laughed lightly.
"That's a relief. I was worried it'd be the other way around," you joked. You were glad conversations with her felt much more natural than you had expected. But, then again, this was Mikasa. Everything felt natural with her.
She reached out and fiddled with the ends of your hair, a gesture she used to do often with you. You hadn't seen her do it in a long time and you could feel the heat rushing to your face once again.
"It'll be pretty strange seeing me around so much again, won't it?" Her gray eyes were trained on yours as she continued to mindlessly play with your hair.
"I suppose it will be. I'll just have to get used to it."

Drown the future
[Rivetra Story]Â [Modern AU]
Link AOT3Â [Chapter 1]
Summary:Â ââYou could move in with meââ Floch suggested casually like they didnât start dating just 3 months ago. And thatâs how it all started if she could go back in time and say no, she couldâve avoided so much pain and suffering. But at the time, it didnât seem like a bad idea.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions, or so they say.
A few days had passed since their last fight, she felt it was silly how she was unconsciously keeping track of that, but it had become normal for her. It was a vicious cycle, they fought, he treated her like shit for a couple of days or gave her the silent treatment, then he would say sorry and shower her with gifts and love and then it would start all over again.
Their next fight began when she uploaded a picture to her Instagram account, Oluo, which Floch always said had a crush on her, had commented on the picture saying she looked cute, she replied to the comment with a pink heart. Later in the day she saw that Floch had liked that comment, and he liked it, so she knew he had seen it. It wasnât the first time they had issues over someone liking or commenting on one of her pictures. Later, that day she decided to just simply deactivate all of her social media accounts. It was one less issue to fight over
                  ââââââââââââââ
Her phone rang, she run to grab it, if she didnât answer, they were probably going to get worried and come to the apartment, she couldnât let that happen. She was supposed to be at class already, she had a presentation with Mikasa that day but Floch wouldnt give her the goddamn phone or let her get out of their apartment because he said she was going to see Oulo. It's been days since the Instagram incident, but he wouldnât let it go.
ââWhat are you doing?ââ He asked aggressively when he realized she was trying to take her phone off his hands. ââGive me the fucking phone now!ââ
ââIâm sorry, please.ââ She didnât even know why she was sorry. â He answered the phone.
ââWho the fuck is thisââ He asked whoever was on the line.
ââPlease Flock, stop.ââ She begged him, sobbing uncontrollably, still trying to take her phone.
ââNoââ
ââSheâs fine.ââ
ââWell, sheâs busy, figured It out⌠bye.ââ
After ending the call, he grabbed her by the hair and dragged her to the bathroom, she felt so exhausted that she didnât even fight him.
âDo you think I like hurting you? This is all your fault, stop making me angry! He screamed closing the door, locking her up in the bathroom.
ââIâm going outââ She heard him say from the other side of the door. ââFucking stay there until Iâm back.ââ And she did. She stayed there for around 3 hours until he returned and let her out.
It was sad, how much control he had over her even when he wasnât around, she found herself asking if Floch would approve of every small decision she made. Even the clothes that she put on; she would do so only if she thought Floch would approve of them.
He had gotten to control every single decision she made about her own life, and the saddest part was that he didnât even need to say anything anymore, she had become a different person under his control. Her whole life revolved around him. She had lost herself; she only went out with him, she only watched the shows and movies that he liked, only listened to the music that he liked, only wore the clothes that he liked, she even stopped cutting her hair because he wanted her to have long hair although all of her life, she preferred short hair.
The time she spent locked in the bathroom, she spent thinking about her life and what she was doing with it. She wanted things to change, she wanted things to go back to normal, she knew she had to leave him, but she didnât know how.
She was afraid of what he would do if they did break things up, she was afraid of people finding out what was going on, that they would judge her for letting him treat her like that, she felt like she didnât have many options, she couldnât tell her father, he would be so disappointed, what the people of her town would even think.
One thing she decided that day is that she was going to get a part-time job and save some money, if she was going to leave Floch, she needed to have first a place to live.
When Floch returned, he found her sitting in the bathtub, he didnât say a thing, neither did she, he just opened the door indicating that it was okay for her to get out of the bathroom, afterward they both went to bed.
It was long after Floch had fallen asleep that she got the courage to take her phone. She had a bunch of missed calls and messages.
Something came up, Iâm okay. It's what she replied to them.
              ââââââââââââââââ
ââJust be on time, keep everything clean and Iâll be okayââ Said Levi showing her around the place. It was her first day, Mikasa and Levi's parents had a tea shop and were looking for someone to help during the nights and weekends, the pay wasnât much but it was close by, so she didnât have to spend money on transportation and also got free food so that was a plus.
She was picking up some stuff cups from a high shelf when one of her sleeves rolled over, showing some dark bruises in her forearms.
ââ Petra, what the fuck?ââ Asked Levi pointing at her arms.
ââItâs nothing.ââ
ââThat sure as hell doesnât look like nothing to me. Do you think I'm stupid or something? It doesnât take a genius to know what these are.ââ
ââI said it's nothingââ She snapped.
ââHeâs a piece of shit, you should leave him.ââ He said, getting out of the room, to attend to some new customers that had just come in.
                                                                                ââââââââââââââââ
ââ I donât mean to pry but, is everything okay between you and Floch?ââ Armin asked ââHe sounded really pissed the other day when Mikasa called you.ââ
ââWe just had a stupid fight; you know how he is.ââ Â
ââYou donât need to give me any explanations if you donât feel like it you know. But I want you to know that we care about you and we are your friends and if.. .ââ
ââJeez, Armin.ââ She interrupted him. ââI said nothing is wrong, hurry up, we are late.ââ
                  ââââââââââââââââ
In the beginning, none of them noticed how much she had changed, Petra was usually a cheerful and happy person but lately, she had become an empty shell of herself. She was skipping classes, and the times she did show up, she was falling asleep or not even paying attention. She was always on the edge, on the verge of tears.
They wanted to help her, but whenever someone said anything to her, she got all defensive, they felt like whenever they tried to help, they just ended pushing her away. Â
How do you help someone that doesnât know that needs helpâŚ? How do you help someone that doesnât want to be helped?
Notes:
If you made it here, thanks for reading. Sorry if this chapter wasn't that good. I want them to know what's going on but I don't want to make it too dramatic. Although it may seem like Levi and the others don't care too much or are doing too little, remember that all of them are adults here and sometimes people need to allow you to help them before you can actually do something.
They don't want to push her away if they pressure her, but if things get too bad of course they will step in. I promise more interactions between Levi and Petra for the next chapters (They are working together now<3)
Please leave a review,I appreciate it.

Ch. 18 - Escaping Odiha
Once we processed, or at least tried to process, the complete annihilation of Marley was imminent Magath took action...against Yelena. He grasped their mouth tight and forced them to the ground placing a foot on their upper arm.
"Tell me where Eren Yeager is!" He commanded harshly. "Every time you don't tell me you're discovering a new direction your arm can move in!"
"General Magath!" I screamed.
"Don't be scared," he added, "I won't kill you."
"That's a relief," Yelena smiled cautiously, sweat beads forming on their head, "I've changed my mind. I don't want to die until I see what happens here. Take me with you...and I just might tell you where Eren went." Their voice shook.
"We need to secure the plane first," Hange put a trusting hand on Magath's shoulder.
"Connie, Armin, Jean, Mikasa," Magath began, "I want to apologize for my behavior last night. We...were mistaken. I was being flippant when I spoke about justice. That was an unseemly attempt on my part to justify my actions, even now. I was afraid of having to look at myself because it meant seeing everything contemptable about Marley. This isn't your responsibility. It's wrong to place the sins of your past on your shoulders just because of your race." Finally, I thought, someone is getting what I'm saying. "Pieck, Annie, Reiner, Lotte...there's no reason for you to be burdened with this world's hatred either...but we do have a responsibility to make sure that future generations learn about this foolish, bloodstained history of ours. Eren Yeager wants to erase everything and that is unforgivable. This hell will never end so long as we keep pretending to ignore our foolish actions. So please...just for now, close your eyes to my foolish actions."
"I refuse..." Armin was the first to speak. "We're getting our hands dirty, too."
The group jumped into action, gathering horses and riding into the harbor fearlessly. Connie and Armin had planned to play it cool, finding Floch and pretending that they were after us, the escaped Marleyans.
Unfortunately, things went south when the Azumabitos took action to defend themselves from the Yeagerists which gave up our location. In the distance from where I was standing, we could see Mikasa and Jean fly into one of the windows to the rescue. Annie and Reiner were prepared and waiting in the basement of the main building, prepared to transition when the time was right. As planned, two flashes of lightning struck throughout the building - lighting it up.
"So it didn't work?" Onyankopon said as we all stood together. "Why must it come to this?"
"Violence is one thing you can't take from humanity," Yelena sighed, "right, Captain?" They looked back at Levi who was adjusting his braces.
Things went positively in our favor. I had wished to see the fight up close but we needed to be out of the way for things to go smoothly. We got the boat into commission and got it sailing. Hange had just broken the news to us that Liberio may have been flattened at this point.
"We decided with Magath that we'd go to Odiha. Rather, it was the only choice left," Hange said sadly, "there was no way to save your hometown, Liberio."
My heart ached for my home as well, but to know that the others had family waiting for them to come home hurt even more. Their families must have stared their deaths in the face, thinking of their lost loved ones. The pain of losing family wasn't something unfamiliar to me. Annie was gasping for breath as the panic set in and Reiner fell against the threshold while Pieck and Gabi clutched each other. I stood with my arms crossed, nails dragging into my skin in anger. Eren must pay.
"Then..." Annie fell to the ground at Hange's feet, "I have no reason to keep fighting. I'm getting off."
"Even if the rumbling stopped this very moment we wouldn't be able to stop Liberio and Marley from being annihilated. Even Magath understood that," Hange explained to Annie, "but he still put his life on the line to clear a path for us. He didn't do it for the sake of Liberio or Marley. He did it so he could save even one more life of a stranger whose name he'll never know."
Annie looked over at Mikasa who was nodding her head in agreement, "then let me ask you again, could you kill Eren?" Mikasa seemed to put some actual thought into this time. "If I tried to kill Eren, would you be able to sit back and watch? I don't want to fight anymore. I don't want for us to try to kill each other again. Not with any of you...not even with Eren."
It took a few hours of sailing before we made it to Odiha. The city was quiet as if they had already fled the rumbling, their ports empty. We prepared the plane for flight, pulling it out of the hangar on board. The explosives that it was wrapped in were packed on board for later use. I prepared the ODM gear, being careful around my abdomen with the straps. This would be the first time I actually felt like I could see battle. I wanted to take out Eren myself for making Zeke become his slave.
I ran into Levi who was trying his best to walk on sore legs. I stopped him immediately.
"Levi, you need to rest," I grabbed him as he nearly fell over while holding onto a railing attached to the wall.
"You'll forget I exist if I rest any longer," Levi scoffed, "I want to be part of this, too."
"Well, we're about to go to Yelena and make her tell us where Eren is," I shrugged, "you can help us with that."
"I'll join," Pieck suddenly appeared, "I have nothing else to do."
We gathered together around Yelena who was loosened up enough to spill the beans. They explained how they cooperated with Eren to come up with a very specific plan of travel and that there was a fortress in the mountains, south of Marley, that he may be located or at least heading in that direction...Fort Salta.
"If he knows about the existence of a weapon that has a chance, however small, of successfully taking out the founding titan..." Pieck thought.
"It's where he'll go after Port Acirfa...to destroy the planes," Yelena finished her sentence.
"You're awfully willing to provide answers," Levi said, sitting in a chair against the wall.
"Zeke was defeated," Yelena looked over at me, "but he was right. His euthanization plan was the only way to solve the two thousand-year-old Eldian problem. Isn't that obvious from the wretched state of things now?"
"Sure, I'll admit that Eren had no solutions, no hope, no future for us. And that I'm powerless," Hange spoke up for me. I still didn't want that plan to have been the 'correct' answer.
"Everyone, start inspecting your equipment," Hange ordered. Even Levi was strapped up and prepared for another battle, relentless.
Annie was preparing to leave. She insisted that she had no reason to fight so she was going to go with the Azumabitos to take care of Gabi. Armin watched from the distance as he spoke with Reiner and Pieck.
"Armin, are you sure you're okay with this?" Mikasa asked, putting a hand on his shoulder. He seemed startled by her touch.
"With what?" He shouted.
"To be honest, I was counting on her," Jean said.
"Annie's done more than enough fighting," Connie insisted.
"She's always been stubborn," I added with a smile on her face, "we couldn't make her stay no matter how hard we tried."
"I'm glad," Armin sighed, "Annie should just keep being Annie."
"Are you fine with this yourselves?" Hange asked. "Even if we do stop the rumbling, just think of how Eldians will be treated after that."
"I hate to say it, but you're right," Pieck nodded slowly, "General Magath gave us one last order though. He said to work together, do what must be done."
Suddenly loud booms came from the area that held the plane. We looked down from the room we were in that had windows to the area to find a relentless Floch shooting those in the area. Mikasa went into action quickly, running down the stairs and into the room. She launched her ODM grapples straight into his neck. It silenced him immediately.
"Floch?!" Hange ran up to his lifeless body. "Did he really cling to the ship all the way here?"
"He shot holes in the fuel tank!" Onyankopon noticed. We all looked back in horror. "We can't fly like this!"
The remaining Azumabitos who had stayed to help with the plane began working quickly to weld the holes, telling us it would take about an hour to get them fixed. Unfortunately for us, we felt the familiar shaking feeling begin coming from a distance. Heading out to the main deck, we could see the rumbling headed in our direction.
"Hurry!" Someone shouted. "Check the engines, make sure we're able to start fueling ASAP!"
"Armin, is there anything we can do to stop them?" I asked frantically.
"No, this is it," he answered, "I'll stay behind and slow them."
"No!" Reiner shouted, grabbing Armin's collar, "you're the only chance we have at stopping Eren! I'll do this!"
"You really think I'd let you?!" Hange laughed, an angry look on her face. "We can't use up any more of our titan powers. I led us all to this point. I kept moving forward even if it meant killing my comrades. It's time I take responsibility for that!"
"Hange!" Armin gasped.
"Armin Arlert, I hereby appoint you fifteenth commander of the survey corps," she said sternly, "the quality of a survey corps commander is the unyielding desire for understanding. There are none more suited for this duty than you. I'm leaving them in your hands and that's that. I'll see you guys later." She hesitated. "Oh, right, Levi's your subordinate now. Make sure you work him to the bone!"
"Hey, four eyes," Levi stepped forward. Hange stepped close to him and began whispering in his ear. Levi looked down sadly but put a fist to her chest. "Devote your heart."
"Ha, ha!" Hange said happily, "that's the first time I've ever heard you say that!" She smiled wide as she ran toward the hundreds of titans in front of her. I barely knew her, but my eyes welled up with tears as she headed into battle. I could only hope that she slow them down just enough and then head back in our direction. I hoped that our goodbyes were only a just in case...
We watched in awe as Hange took out titan after titan, several of them plummeting to the ground and being trampled by fellow titans. After a while they were getting too close but the plane had been fully repaired and was ready for liftoff. We all boarded and a few volunteers began pushing it forward for travel.
"Hange, come on, let's go!" We all began screaming at different intervals.
"Hold on, we're taking off!" Onyankopon declared. We all began panicking, watching Hange still taking out titans.
At the very last minute, as the plan began to veer off, Hange used the last of the gas in her gear to pull herself onto the plane. Just as she ran out, she was able to grasp the open door of the plane. We proceeded to pull her to safety.
"That was incredible!" Armin immediately went over and embraced her. Everyone began crying happy tears and joined in on the hug. She was laughing, and incredibly sweaty.
"I really thought that'd be the end of me for a minute there!" She exclaimed, wiping her brow. "You can stay commander, though, Armin. I don't want anything to do with the position." She put her hand up.
"Great work, Hange," Levi said from his seated position. His face quivered as if he were holding back a smile.
AN: From here, you can choose your own ending. The chapters are labeled with (Ending V.X) so you can choose to follow whichever ending. Each is incredibly similar to the last with small details changed to fix who lives...and who dies:
V. 1 - Everyone lives
V. 2 - Zeke and Eren both die
V. 3 - Zeke lives and Eren dies
V. 4 - Zeke dies and Eren lives
V. 5 - Lotte, Zeke, and Eren all die
I really enjoyed writing this fan fiction and with the way it has to end, based on the manga, I wished that I could have spent more time writing Zeke and using the world to escape, so I may revisit with one shots/scenes that go in-between chapters where they do cute things and/or smut.
Thank you for reading and I hoped you had as good of a time reading it as I did writing it!

I know this might be weird but can you pinpoint what Eren actual plan is actually is? I still don't believe his declaration and i'm sure there is more that meets the eye. Can you give any other probability of what his real plan is judging from his character before his POV was shut off. Can you also include how the role of Kruger memory and advise to Grisha helped shaped the current Eren since I see a lot of similarities between the two in this final arc
The same dude btw. Do you have any theory on why Eren set up PATHS discord to declare his goal. Don't get me wrong but so far Eren intention has been presented as noble even though his method and goal isn't. The intention we have gotten from other character POV btw is to protect his friends and Paradise. What then do Eren benefit from monologuing like a stereotypical villain before unleashing his plan? He isn't the type to instill fear into people before killing them. That's OOC for him      Â
The wall titans will take days or even weeks before they realistically reach the shores of Marley. Maybe it cause of bias but if I want to commit a genocide with something as slow as the wall titan, I will cut off flow of information so that they will meet their doom by surprise. Also thanks to him announcing his goal, he has helped clear indecisiveness for any Paradisians that's opposed to that outcome. Did he really expect Armin to sit still and allow him after what he pulled in 112?
Lastly, in Eren memory shard. We saw a shard of the fez boy whom he was looking at the last night. The general consensus among the fandom is that Eren decided for the genocide after what transpired in the meeting but if Eren really went out of his way to meet that boy after he ditched the SC, that kind of puts a dent in his genocide plan cause that shard looks to pure with the hand placed on shoulder and the whole body language. Sorry for rambling too much. I know it kind of makes other     Â
characters development pointless if Eren isn't genuine. But it's just like saying Mikasa character development when Eren died is pointless cause Eren came back alive. I don't know if I make sense
One question, I want to ask about Kruger word on the wall " you have to complete your mission if you want to save Mikasa, Armin and everyone". Are we supposed to ignore that line or is it retconned or what? Many of the analysis I see base off of post timeskip Eren with no POV and ignoring established themes. I just see a lot of theory about big bad Eren and I can't help but wonder considering the scene was emphasized by both Grisha and Kruger. I feel like something is missing      Â
Hello anons!
These asks can be answered together. I am also sorry for the wait since it has been a while since  I have received them.
I have talked about Eren here and in particular I have said this:
Finally, when it comes to Erenâs future development, I currently see two possibilities.
a) Â Either we are given more information through Historia and his POV and this new information can modify the reading of Erenâs actions up until now.
b) He will grow and develop because of the actions of the  other characters exactly like them will grow because of his current  ones.
I think that point a and b which describe two possible ways in which Eren can gain future development lead to two different machro-theories I see going around.
1) Eren plans to turn himself into humaniyâs enemy, so that humanity can join hands, fight him and overcome their struggle in the meantime.
2) Erenâs wish to protect his home and loved ones coupled with his future memories led him to think that destroying the world is the only way he can ensure Paradis safet and so he is doing so even if he knows it is wrong.
I call them âmachro-theoriesâ because they can be interpreted in numerous ways and each one has a different nuance and a different spin to it. I am also sure that other explanations could be found, but, as for now, they are the two I find more plausible.
They can both make sense under certain conditions and I think they are the two ones that would have the more foreshadowing if proven true.
Now, letâs address some points you make against theory 2 and in favor of theory 1.
1) The boy with the fez. Â I donât think him appearing in Erenâs memories disproves nor proves anything. Him appearing in Erenâs memories shows how much important was that night for Eren himself. It is the last night he spends with the people he loves before leaving them and starting to act coldly towards them. What is more, the child is a person who reminds Eren of his past self since he is a victim of war and a refugee like he was. Because of this, it makes sense that Eren was such impressed by the child since he represents both his past self and how people outside and inside the walls are the same.
As a matter of fact even if Eren is indeed doing what he seems to be doing it does not mean that he does not realize its gravity (different from the Jeagersists). He clearly does. That is why he cries after seeing the child. It is because he realizes he will die together with other people when he activates the Rumbling. Or at least the hapter implies this.
Alternatively, in case theory 1 is correct, Eren crying might simply be because he is somehow giving up on his past and possibly on his future since he knows he needs to sacrifice himself.
2) Erenâs speech to the world Eldians.
As the first anon said in their asks, it might be a trick Eren is using to stage himself as the only true monster in order to unite the world against him.
Alternatively, someone (whose name I donât remember, so tell me if yuou know) noticed that the Founding Titan powers seem to work without specific restrictions. So, for example, when Eren ordered that all the hardening had to become undone, not only the walls, but also Reiner and Annie resented of the effect of Erenâs order. So, Eren might have wanted to announce his plan only on the Eldians of Paradis, but ended up bradcasting to all the world Eldians. That said, I donât find the theory that convincing even if it is interesting simply because Erenâs words seem to be directed to all Eldians.
3) Eren as an antagonist being against the themes.
To this I disagree. As a matter of fact a way to explore a theme is to have the MC have a tragic arc which embodies the opposite of a story themes. Because of this, having Eren who wants freedom ending up representing freedomâs opposite can be an effective way to explore the theme of âfreedomâ. If anything Eren manipulating everyone, so that things go according to his plan is something which risks not to fit with the idea of freedom. As a matter of fact, having a single character giving âfreedomâ to others through manipulation seems kind of hypocritical. That said, there could be ways in which theory 1 can be proven true without this happening. So weâll see.
4) Krugerâs words. I have talked about Krugerâs words here:
He might be doing it because he has seen  Kruger mentioning to Grisha that if he learns to use this power  correctly he can save Mikasa, Armin and everyone else. All in all, just  this hope might be enough for him to push forward in a confused hell despite the fact he has only partial information and that he might very well mess up in the process.
In short, the panel of Kruger mentioning Armin and Mikasa is clearly important and I think that that panel together with the one of Mikasa in chapter one have still to be explained and will be in the future. What is more, I think they are connected to the Attack Titan piower somehow.
When it comes to Krugerâs words it is possible that, as I say above, Eren is also animated by them in doing what he is doing. As a matter of fact being told by my future self that doing something will save the lives of people I love might be a reason good enough to do whatever I am told. I also think we might see Eren sending himself this message in future chapters.
In conclusion, both theories 1 and 2 are still possible. They have both positive and negative aspects to them.
For example, having theory 1 be true would make difficult to understand why Eren could not simply tell the others about it. Why did he have to risk the destruction of the world hoping that a bunch of people who could have died countless times would join together and stop him against all odds? This is something which seriously needs to be addressed not to make the whole situation ridiculous and it can be addressed either by adding plot-points which make Erenâs choices understandable or by clearly showing that Eren was wrong not to tell others.
At the same time, for theory 2 to be true there is the need to find a convincing reason why both Historia and Erenâs POV have been hidden from us up until now. If Eren wants to destroy the world and that is, why have we not been shown his pov and why is there still mystery about a meeting between him and Historia? Similarly, there is the fact that it makes no sense for Eren to have told Floche his plan and not people he truly cared about. As a matter of fact even if he wants to destroy the world, why should he want a group like the Jeagersists rule over Paradis considering they are a threath to people like Hange and Levi he cares about?
All in all, why is he pushing Armin and Mikasa and the others away? No matter what theory is true, it must address this point.
These are my two cents as per now.
Have a great day!

*He listens with his gaze trained on you, brow still cocked upwards. The mans face does nothing but grow when you're meeting his offer with more banter, even going as far as to keep your features straight.* "Oh, you're good now?" *He chuckles, admiring how innocent you look when your gaze is casted towards the ground.* "Sir? I didn't know you'd be into that, sweetheart. What else are you into?" *But he's still just meeting your banter, and walks around the kitchen island with his gaze still trained on you.* "Or are you going to make me wait until later for that, too?"
*The way he approaches you is teasing. He's not that much taller than you, but with confidence, his presence seems larger than it usually does. Lids are partially hooded. He doesn't touch you, but he's close enough to. When he speaks, he does so with slight gravel,* "I'd have some juice too, but for some reason, I don't think it'll help my thirst." *With purpose, Floch's eyes fell down your body, before meeting your eyes again* "Maybe someday if I'm lucky."
- Floch, your cutie, Forster
*I squint a little and nod my head, kinda mocking his question and surprise surprise I get shy again cause I just say sir outta habit đŠ I didn't mean to out myself there. Following him with my eyes I watch him get closer and I think i swallow lmao* "I guess you'll have to find out for yourself, baby...or can you not wait that long?"
*My lips do that thing where you kinda make it into a line when you try to hide your smile, but obviously I fail cause its me. I don't even know why I'm smiling i just am and I kinda just blink at him.* "Hmm depending on what you think about the movie, today might be the day." *I take a step towards him so we're close close and smile before walking towards the fridge* "you got apple juice?"

Okay so Levi takes her to an event or party and while they are there he has to leave her alone for a moment because he has to discuss something confidential with another man. When she is alone, another man approaches her and tries to flirt with her. She is obviously not interested and tries to subtly tell him that she is married. (She also knows Levi would be pissed if he finds out.) The man already knows but doesn't care and continues harassing her. She is creeped out so when Levi arrives she is relieved. Levi tells the man off and threatens him to stay away from her. Then he turns his attention to her and she could tell he was angry at her. She doesn't understand why because she did nothing wrong. He leaves the party immediately and drags her home to punish her.
Levi x Evelyn -> Jealousy
(A/N: Anon really out here bringing out my demons of hyper fixation that is jealous yandere Levi and now they've been unleashed. Also we all hate Floch so we gotta make Floch the creep cmon)

=======================================
Levi couldn't help but sneak glances at Evelyn, she was too lovely for words. He had dressed her up to the nines, a new set of jewelry around her neck and ears. Both were simple stones, made to match her simple engagement ring. Levi wouldn't let her be caught dead with anything too gaudy, elegance was the only thing that suited her.
After the disaster of their first outing Levi was more careful, and it seemed that now Evelyn knew how to behave. She kept her eyes down or looking at him, her arm linked in his. She never complained, spoke out of turn, or tried to sneak away. He had to admit he was proud of her, and showed that appreciation with a soft kiss on her head. To him it seemed his tactics were working, she kept herself in line to get his gentle side, daring not to risk his wrath. Never had he been more in love with her than in the most recent days.
Erwin approached the two just as Levi picked up a drink, he was monitoring himself tonight so he wouldn't act foolish. When he saw Erwin he nodded respectfully, although they both knew it was for show, Levi didn't respect him, they used each other to get what they wanted.
"Commander." He said in greeting.
"Levi." First a nod to him and then to his wife. "Evelyn. It's rare we see the Ackermans out together, so good of you to pry your wife away from her prison Levi."
Levi's jaw twitched at the implication but he kept his head. "Of course Erwin, can't keep her locked up in my bedroom all the time can I?" He glances at his wife, pleased that he had changed her opinion of Erwin after she found out his part in her entrapment. The hatred was evident on her face.
"No I suppose not. But enough with the formalities, I need to talk to you Levi, alone."
"What do you have to say that can't be said in front of my wife?"
Erwin raises a brow. "It concerns your wife, unless you've changed your mind and want her to have a say in her own life?"
Levi narrows his eyes, turning to Evelyn once again. "Stay right here. Don't talk to anyone, don't look at anyone, don't move. Understand?"
She nods, dropping her eyes to the ground. "Yes Levi."
He seems satisfied, following Erwin after kissing her possessively in front of the Commander out of spite.
=======================================
Evelyn does as she's told, not moving a muscle while she waits for Levi to return. Her ankles burned in those heels but she didn't dare to sit and move from the spot he had put her in. The bruises on her bottom from her last infraction of his iron will were cause enough to stay put.
"Well well well, if it isn't the famous Evelyn Glass, back from the dead and more lovely than ever."
Evelyn looks up and into the brown eyes of a Scout she doesn't recognize at first but then subtly remembers. "You were at the ceremony after the battle to retake Wall Maria, I'm sorry I don't remember your name."
"Floch, Forster, it makes sense you didn't remember me, the high and mighty don't often remember those beneath them."
"I'm far from high and mighty, I never had anywhere close to the same accomplishments as Levi or the Commander."
"That doesn't mean you're not special, in fact you're...one of a kind."
His words were innocent enough, but his tone and the way his eyes were fixated on her chest gave reason enough for her skin to crawl. Even Levi in all his debased ways didn't look at her in such a degrading way.
She clears her throat. "Well uhm, it was nice seeing you, I should get back to Levi-" She hesitates to spit out the next words. "My husband-" She hated referring to him like that but in one way Levi hadn't lied, his status alone had protected her many times.
Floch glances at her shining engagement ring and wedding band, but seems unbothered. Most people would find an excuse to apologize before running off once they found out who she was married to, but he had a boldness that made her shiver. Bold men only ever meant bad news for her.
"I knew you had gotten married, but didn't know you were still with the guy." He takes a step closer. "Isn't he annoying? How could you subject yourself to such a man?" He kept coming closer, to the point she could smell his breath, making her grimace in disgust. "Wouldn't you love to stick it to him by letting him know he's not enough for you? That you need someone...else- to satisfy you?"
"No I-"
"Because I could be that man Evelyn, Eve-"
"Please don't call me that-"
"Eve? Why? Does he call you that in bed? Give you bad memories? I could take those all away.."
"What the hell do you think you're doing." A deep voice says behind Floch.
As he turns Evelyn nearly faints with relief to see Levi standing there, hurrying over to him and holding onto him tight.
"I was just talking with Evelyn here Captain."
"That's Mrs. Ackerman to you boy, and if you want to keep you rotten teeth it'd be in your best interest to stay away from her."
"Gee Captain, I didn't know you were so fragile in your marriage."
Levi pushes Evelyn off of him, takes a step towards Floch before punching him hard in the stomach, sending the other man sprawling to the floor. "Come within five feet of her and I'll make you wish you were never born."
Evelyn sighs but her grateful smile is quickly wiped away when she sees his enraged expression. "What's wrong Levi?"
He doesn't answer but grabs her hand, dragging her along. "We're going home, now."
===========================================
Once Levi throws her down on the bed he makes quick work of her clothes, shredding them if he has to to get to her skin as soon as possible.
"Fucking whore, I leave you alone for five fucking seconds and already you're lined up for some other man's dick?"
"I told you Levi it's not like that-"
"Batting your eyelashes, showing your tits, all that so someone can come save you from me."
"Levi I promise you I didn't-"
He cuts her off with a slap to the face, he knew deep down it really wasn't her fault, she couldn't help that she was desirable to other men, but the threat of someone stealing her from him just infuriated him, and he had to take out his frustrations some way. She could take the fall for it, she always did.
The only kindness he chose to show her was when he decided for once to apply lube, after all she had behaved all night aside from that, she deserved some reward. He'd be merciful enough that as he slid in she wasn't in pain, just full of him.
Her breath hitches with sobs. "Levi stop-"
"Just lay there and take it, okay?" He sneaks a glance at her face and feels the smallest pang of pity. "It's not you, but you can take my dick or you can take my belt, I'm doing you a favour."
Evelyn tries to keep quiet and calm, trying to ignore twitching inside her or the teeth on her neck. The only way to survive with him was to bend to his will, and if it meant laying underneath him while he pounds into her and eventually shoots his hot cum onto her chest as a way of marking her, then that's what she'll do. Whatever it takes to survive.
