I love love love this episode so much because yes, they will make you cry because your girl Rhaenys is dead and the Red Queen Meleys went with her, but they will hit you after mere seconds with the devastation that a fight between three dragons, between two factions of the same House, between two Targaryens can cause. Cole touching a soldier and realizing he became dust in the wind because of the dragons' fire, the soldiers getting crushed by Vaghar's pawn in slow motion and the way it highlighted the enormous size difference between her and them- the fact that Meleys' corpse hit the same castle she was supposed to protect. the way that it is so clear what it truly means, a war fought by dragons.
#try to say that rhaenyra was a coward for not fighting from the start#try it fucking try it#i love this show so much you can't even begin to understand#now who can find me some good rhaenys x reader !!!!#hotd season 2#hotd#hotd spoilers#house of the dragon#rhaenys velaryon#rhaenys the queen who never was#meleys#vhagar#aemond targaryen#every time he does something i like he hits me with shit like this and i start screaming#i would've liked rhaenys to cook aegon in his armor tbh#do i look like igaf ab daemon's strange dreams be honest#catelyn should meet rhaenys and learn a thing or two ab the right way to treat bastards!!!

Hey could you write a Rhaenys Targaryen (Velaryon) x Reader fanfic. Where Rhaenys is married to corlys and the reader is married to someone too, but both of them like each other and it's hard for them to resist each other. With maybe some smut?
AN: Hi, I hope you like it x
NSFW
It seemed your husband’s attention was easily swayed elsewhere, which was welcomed more than you would ever admit. If you were a better lady; embarrassment would have swept over you but alas you were not. It was hard to care about your husband’s extra activities when you had many of your own. Those thoughts had you nervously playing with the rings on your delicate, slender fingers.
“You seem lonely.” A soft smile that you could hardly hide tugged on those soft, plump lips of yours as Rhaenys stepped closer. “Hmm, how could I possibly be with you near?” The Queen who never was only hummed. Her hands slowly moved up and down your sides; once upon a time such acts would have you looking around.
The familiar, mouth watering scent of Rhaenys had your attention as your head subtly turned to her. “Are you not enjoying yourself, my love?” She whispered in your ear. “I am now.” The words left your mouth without any thought as the music from the barbs only continued and grew in volume. The arrival of the King and Queen allowed a shadow of privacy to come over the both of you.
Rhaenys looked to the side; her prideful husband moved to stand but their eyes caught and a shared smile came across their faces. Their arrangement was helped with her husband having found another woman to warm his bed but that was a thought for another day. Her focus easily returned to you as Rhaenys’ head settled on your shoulder.
“Shall we go somewhere quieter?” Rhaenys hand found your own now and began to play with your fingers. “I would like that.” Slowly, you turned in her hold and for the first time that evening; your eyes locked. “Good…” Rhaenys whispered as her hand slowly cupped your face; her thumb brushing your bottom lip without care of any eyes on her.
“These events always did bore me.” Rhaenys continued and you could only agree. “I am sure we can find something to entertain ourselves with.” You whispered in return; your tone became more teasing whilst the Princess’ smile only widened. “I am sure of it.” Her hand reached for yours once more and with one last look over your shoulder; the both of you exited the room.
~
“Will your husband not come through?” You were breathless now; soft pants escaping you with ease. Your soft, bare body is completely exposed to your lover. “Oh, he is much busier.” Rhaenys hummed as her hands stroked up and down your legs before pushing them apart. It seemed your dragon of a lover was still hungry for you.
Any thoughts of someone other than Rhaenys fell from your mind as her soft lips and tongue were soon on your twitching, soaked pussy. Those delicate hands fought against reaching into her hair and pulling it from the stunning updo. The familiar embrace and touches from your lover only had your body relaxing some more.
“I have missed you.” You softly whimpered out as your doe eyes rolled back. The intense pleasure only builds some more; Rhaenys touches were from an expert hand especially of your body and it always made it harder to concentrate as your mind began to soften. Rhaenys only chuckled against you as she watched from under her lashes at your reaction.
Gods, how she had missed you, the Princess thought to herself as she hummed against your sweet, creamy pussy. The vibrations cause a rush of pleasure down your spine. Rhaenys lapped with hunger before two of her slender fingers pushed deep inside your warmth. Her palm hitting your sweet, sensitive clit with ease.
With eager eyes, you watched Rhaenys’ movements as she crawled up your body; her fingers still playing you so well. Her free hand slowly traced up your soft skin as goosebumps easily made their presence known. Those ample breasts of yours bounced as you arched from the sheets beneath you; eager for her touch.
“Always so eager…” Rhaenys purred her teasing as their noses brushed together. You could hear your heart pounding as the obscene, wet noises of your creamy pussy echoed around the room. “Only for you.” It was not long before your lips met. The moans that had freely echoed now muffled by her soft kiss that easily turned more passionate, as it always did.
Gods, you wished you could stay here forever. It was unfair how little time you could have together even with the slight freedom your stations brought. Those thoughts of yours were like a dream as Rhaenys whispered sweet nothings in your ear. Your lips met once again as your tongues danced; you're easily submitting to your dragon of a lover.
Your noses brushed together once more as your slender arms wrapped around Rhaenys and brought her close. In those moments; you lost yourself in her embrace. The soft pleasure only built with ease as your body began to rock against her. Her thumb sweetly rubbed against your sensitive clit again and again as you shook.
A gasp escaped you as your eyes rolled once more. Rhaenys’ chuckling of enjoyment echoed in your ears. “I wish we could fly away together.” Rhaenys whispered as she watched you begin to lose yourself in the pleasure. “I miss you in the cold nights.” The Princess continued as she leaned closer; taking in your mouth watering scent as her sweet words pushed you over the edge.
Her fingers only played; quickening their speed as you squirted around them. Your hands reached for the silk sheets around you and gripped. Rhaenys giggled as she watched you lose yourself; lips soon on your own as if to muffle the sounds. Oh, how she dreamt of a time you did not have to hide and the Princess swore one day soon this could be true.
As the pleasure slowly calmed even as Rhaenys’ fingers played with you so sweetly; your body melted against her. Your legs wrapped around her waist as she leaned closer; pressing soft , open mouthed kissed down your neck. Shivers ran down your spine as goosebumps brushed over your skin. “I love you.” The whisper of the words fell from your lips with ease.

She had to get the message to her mother, somehow. So she prayed that the time would come where he could escape to send a message by raven.
‘From the inside I will finish them off. Whatever happens, don't bend the knee. We will resist, mother.’
She read the message for the tenth time and snorted, putting her hands on her head and closing her beautiful eyes. "
Fuck..."
She cursed that she had missed the opportunity her mother had given her to come home with them. But of course, seeing that her grandmother was going to be alone in Driftmark, taking care of her grandfather, who was still on the verge of death from the ambush he suffered, her honor weighed more heavily in the balance. She did not want to turn her back on them at such a delicate time.
The sun had not yet risen when her prayers were answered.
"Ser Erryk." whispered as she saw the knight, opening the door to the room.
"Princess, we are leaving." The knight said, passing her a cloak to cover herself with. "I do not agree with anything that is happening, with this sick treachery. It is an atrocity, just like your betrothal."
"And my grandmother?" The young woman asked as she covered herself with the cloak.
"We will go to get her now. I will take you both to a ship that will take you back home." The knight, who was a twin to Ser Arryk, spoke before resting a hand on the princess's shoulder. "I promise I will do my best to get you both out of here."
Then she took the note from the table and clutched it in her own fist. She also took the ring her parents gave her with the emblems of House Targaryen and Velaryon, and the small pouch in which she always stuffed a few coins. After that they left the chambers and went for Princess Rhaenys, stealthily and swiftly. Whenever Ser Erryk saw guards, he told the princess to hide, so far they had had good luck.
"Lady Grandmother." Said the young woman taking her grandmother's hands, once they were reunited.
"My sweet girl." Rhaenys said, before kissing her granddaughter's cheek. "I heard what they wanted to do to you. Are you all right? They did not do anything to you, did they?"
"No, I am just fine, glad you are as well, really."
"Princesses, we must leave now." Spoke the kingsguard who was trying to help them escape from the Red Keep.
"And Meleys and Scarlex? We can not leave them behind."
"It is not safe to go to Dragonpit now, Princess. I am afraid we could not make it. Going by boat is the best, safest option." Ser Erryk explained before they reached the exit through which they would leave the Keep.
"Wait." The princess stopped before they could continue. "I need you to take this with you, Grandmother." She whispered handing the note she had written for her mother to her grandmother. "I need you to be the one to give it to my mother in case we get separated."
"That is not going to happen." Said the queen that never was, looking down at the small roll she now held in her hand.
"Better to be cautious, do not you think? That is something you made a sure of teaching me." Said the silver-haired girl looking at the note in her grandmother's hand.
"Sometimes you remind me of your father, my child." Spoke the older woman hiding the message.
Only if you knew.
"Aemond!" Called the Velaryon girl as she ran across the training yard. "Aemond!" The young girl ran with a huge smile on her face, as she looked for her uncle, who was currently alone training.
"Niece." Said the young boy, stopping shielding the sword, when he saw his niece and best friend come to where he was. "Has something happened?"
The young lady rested her hands on her knees and gestured for him to give her a moment, to catch her breath after all the running around the fortress, trying to find him. She looked up and gave the prince a huge smile. "It's a boy." The silver-haired girl said with difficulty, still struggling to normalise her breathing.
The young Targaryen arched an eyebrow. "What are you talking about?" The boy said, abandoning his sword and looking for a place where they could both sit and talk.
"My mother, the princess, has given birth to a boy. Another brother, Joffrey is his given name." Said the girl with tears of happiness. "He is a healthy boy. But very wrinkled and- he will not stop crying, gods." She told Aemond with a crystallized look in her eyes because of the joyful emotion she felt. After saying that, she took a seat next to the Targaryen Prince.
"Congratulations are in order, then." Aemond smiled at her and placed his hand on hers, who gladly took it and squeezed it before letting out a laugh. "Another nephew, hm? I was expecting for a girl this time.”
"Me too, if I am being honest." She admitted, looking up at him. As she watched her lifelong friend look at her intently, she felt herself blush, for some strange reason she didn't understand. "It is a hot day, it is not?." She commented in a whisper, lowering her gaze and looking down at the ground, as if it was something very interesting.
"You came running, that is why you must feel like that." Aemond stared at the girl, intently, for the first time in as long as he could remember he was staring at her like that. She was changing, and he had not noticed, not until now. His feelings of friendship, unable to help it, were doing so as well.
Realising that what he was feeling for her was something new and more mature, the boy pulled away from her and released her hand, causing the princess to look up and look at him with concern.
"Are you alright, Aemond?" His blue gaze met hers after hearing the question. "You are quite red." The young girl observed.
He was even redder now.
"Yes. I am just fine." Lied the young prince. "I forgot I have your nameday gift here. I wanted to give it to you when we were alone."
"Why would you have it here?" she asked curiously.
A smile formed on his face. "In case I found you later." Lied the Targaryen boy again.
He carried it with him all the time, but could never find the time to give it to his dearest friend and niece.
"Close your eyes, do not look, hm?"
"Never." She whispered.
The young prince stepped around her friend, and once behind her, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a gold necklace, simple and unobtrusive, with a medallion. It was a simple medallion with a three-headed dragon. The emblem of House Targaryen.
"A three-headed dragon, of House Targaryen." The young woman commented as she looked at the gift that her uncle and friend had given her. "It is beautiful, my prince. Thank you very much, but..."
"But?" the silver-haired boy asked, terrified that deep down she didn't like the gift.
"I am a… Velaryon. Not Targaryen, my mother is but-"
"But you could be one, officially, in the future, in some years, when you shall to be wed.”
"Grandmother, no! No! No! Grandmother!" shouted the young Velaryon as she was separated from her grandmother and Ser Erryk, due to the hordes of people being led towards Dragonpit, where the coronation was to take place. "Fuck!" She screamed out of desperation, as she tried to backtrack and turn back. A desperate attempt to get back to the only two people she trusted in the city.
She cast her gaze back and could see them slowly drifting further apart. Rheanys' face showed her desperation to be reunited with her, she tried to look for her granddaughter with her eyes, but at one point she lost her in the tide of people. She should have tried harder not to lose her grip, she thought.
Amidst pushing and shoving, the young princess managed to make herself climb up a small brick wall. Once she stood up on it, she tried to look around for the knight and the princess, but no luck. She only hoped that at least her grandmother could escape from the death trap, which was the fucking capital.
"Seven hells, what am I supposed to do now?" She mumbled, still looking from the top of the wall for an exit, where there were almost no people, let alone guards and soldiers.
"Girl. Get down from there now." Someone spoke to her, she looked out of the corner of her eye at the person who had addressed her, she tried to cover her face as much as possible with her cloak, so that she wouldn't be recognised. "If you do not come down on your own, I will take you down by force."
She really was very unlucky at that moment, when the man who had addressed her, was exactly Rickard Thorne, a fucking Kingsguard loyal to the green snakes. A fucking traitor.
"Apologies, Ser. I was just looking for my companions, with whom I was to attend the coronation." She said, trying to change her tone of voice and not looking at him. "No need to worry about me, I will get down." She tried to be as agile as possible to get down, so she could run as far away from the guard as possible.
The last thing she wanted was to be recognised.
As she was about to get down, she almost tripped, stepping on her own dress. The knight had very good reflexes and caught her before she could fall.
The young princess had a lot of bad luck at that moment.
"Be more careful, woman."
"Thank you." She whispered as she hurried away from the spot, clutched the cloak even tighter as she covered herself with it. That had been a close call.
At least she had already gotten rid of the guard, who was part of the Kingsguard, no less. Surely they had noticed her and her Lady Grandmother's escape by now.
"Hey, girl, you left this behind," said Rickard, looking at the bag of coins he had just picked up from the floor. "What are you doing with so much gold? Who did you steal from?"
Fuck.
"You can keep it, as compensation." She said as she tried to pick up her pace, she wanted to run but it was practically impossible.
"Get back here!" Thorne said as he headed towards her, pushing people out of his way.
Double fuck.
Now was when it was her turn to run, even if it was impossible.
As the young princess tried to flee the scene, she was pushing people out of the way and into the Kingsguard who was practically on her heels. She looked around desperately, she needed a way out.
She was so desperate.
Luckily, she could see a way out by her right, where there were not so many people. She started to run there, and saw a small, dark and smelly alley. She ran as if there was no tomorrow.
As she ran up the street, she was bumping into people going in the opposite direction, she could also hear Rickard shouting at her, telling her to stop or ordering the people near her to catch her. But no one seemed to be in the mood, thanks to the seven.
Until an elderly man tried to catch her. He grabbed her by the arms and took a small dagger he carried with him, placing it on the young woman's neck, who instinctively stomped on his foot with all her might, and then bit him on the wrist that held the dagger. The man dropped it, bringing his other hand to the bloody wound. She picked up the dagger, but not before kicking the man in the balls, who now lay on the ground doubled over in pain.
She kept running as fast as she could, Thorne much closer than before, because of the time she had lost facing the passer-by.
"You have no escape, thief." Said the Kingsguard, once he had the young woman at the end of the alley. "Surrender or the punishment will be worse."
Flight or fight.
"Bullshit, you traitor." She said as she stopped and turned around, pointing him with the dagger she had just seized of.
"Princess." He said in surprise when he saw the princess's face, but quickly a smirk of superiority formed on his face. "You don't know what a commotion it has caused in the Keep to see that neither you, nor Princess Rhaenys were in your chambers."
"A pity I didn't get to see the faces of the incompetents in that place."
"Come on, Princess, put the dagger down." The knight requested.
"Not without using it first."
"You think you can beat me? A knight of the Kingsguard?" the man in front of her laughed, one hand on the pommel of his sword. "Do you think a woman stands a chance against a knight?"
"No, of course I do not." The silver-haired girl feigned confusion. "But at least I can amuse myself for a while while I play with your patience."
"That's not very ladylike of you, princess."
"Did anyone say I care in the least about that?"
Ser Rickard clutched at the sword dagger, truly the young woman was playing with his patience like no woman had ever done before.
"Oh, come now, Ser Rickard. Will you not at least give me the pleasure of putting into practice everything my stepfather has taught me these past few years?"
"Believe me, Princess, I would gladly do so, but both the Kingsguard Commander and the Queen would prefer that you return to the Red Keep unharmed." Thorne explained as he took a step towards her.
"Oh, how sweet of you..." father.
“Put the dagger down, now."
"Or what? You'll kill me?" The princess made a false grimace of sadness, then smiled at the knight. "I just wanted to play swords with you, well daggers, rather." She dropped the dagger to the ground, only for the knight to take her arm firmly and set off on the way back.
"Are we going to the coronation?"
"No." No doubt the man was running out of patience, and it amused the young Velaryon, who even though she was being led back to the Keep had a triumphant smile on her face.
"Good, because if I would wanted to see a jesters’ show I would have stayed in the Red Keep.”
"You could have your tongues cut out for talking like that."
The young woman let out a loud laugh. "Not long ago someone told me exactly the same thing you did, Ser."
"You are leaving now, so I hear from father." Aemond spoke with a sad expression, then watched as his friend played with the necklace he had given her a couple of days ago.
The Velaryon girl nodded, then wiped away her tears with one hand. There was a knot forming in her stomach and throat, every time she tried to talk to her best friend the tears threatened to spill out. "Mhm." She nodded, avoiding the young prince with her eyes.
"And you are not going to say anything before you leave? Just 'mhm'?"
"It is just that- I know that... I- if I try to tell you anything I know I will cry even more, I will not be able to stop." The young princess's lower lip trembled.
"I would rather you do that and try to comfort you than leave without crossing any words." The young boy admitted.
"Thank you for being my friend, Aemond. I know we are family, but your friendship means a lot to me." Confessed the girl from the house Velaryon, then burst into tears and put her hands to her face, trying to hide her face from her friend.
"Thank you for being the only one who understands me, Princess." The young Targaryen whispered as he grabbed the young girl’s shoulders, then pulled her to him and gave her a hug. She hugged him back.
"For being the only person in the family besides you without a dragon?"
"And for everything else."
"I am going to miss you." She whispered, with immense sadness.
He hated the huge emptiness he felt in his chest at the thought of not seeing her every day.
"And I you." He said likewise, as he ran a hand through her hair, trying to memorise how it felt to his touch.
They stood for a few moments in silence, pondering whether or not to say more. Neither had the courage to tell the other how they felt, and in a way, they were too young to even be thinking about it, since those feelings only came when you were older, supposedly. Or maybe not?
"You should leave now. Your Lady Mother will be waiting for your return," Aemond spoke, regretfully.
"You are right." The girl murmured as she broke the embrace, then grabbed her friend's hands in an attempt to get his attention. "I will try to write to you as often as possible."
"I will try the same."
"Good."
"Good."
"I will see you soon, I hope."
"Y-Yes. Soon..." neither knew exactly what to say to say goodbye, let alone not knowing how long they wouldn't see each other for.
Then something happened that caught Aemond Targaryen by surprise. His friend and niece, the princess, with both hands cupped his face and placed a brief, nervous peck on his lips, leaving him breathless and wide-eyed.
"Goodbye, my prince." Said the silver-haired girl nervously before running out of the place in search of her family.
Aemond, still wide-eyed, and in apparent shock at what had just happened, slowly turned around and stared in the direction she had disappeared.
He held up a hand as if in farewell. "Goodbye, I suppose."
He spent the rest of the day without saying a word to anyone. He didn't know whether or not to believe what had happened in that little encounter with his friend. But when he went to sleep that night, he did so with a small smile on his face.
The rest of the day passed in a blur for her, after Ser Rickard Thorne had taken her back to the castle, to be met by none other than the Kingsguard commander himself, Ser Criston Cole, her beloved father - gods, the joy it gave her to see the torment in his eyes after discovering his paternity - who escorted her back to her chambers, where Alicent, now Queen Mother, awaited her.
"What you did today was stupid." Was the first thing Alicent said to her as she saw her enter her room and heard the door being closed by Ser Criston. "Something could have happened to you."
"Something worse than what is about to happen this very night, my queen?" the young woman asked as she approached the centre of the room.
"If you had met someone dangerous your life could have been in danger. Imagine if they had come to kidnap you or assaulted you, taking your virtue." Alicent spoke as she approached the young woman, who in the next few hours was to become his daughter-in-law.
The young woman laughed wryly at the last words of the mother of the new usurper king. "There is no need to pretend you care about me, your highness. There is no one here but us."
"You were lucky you did not suffer a worse fate today, princess. You could have gotten yourself killed."
"That would have been a more merciful fate than the one I am living right now, locked up here and surrounded by traitors!" Exploded the young woman, as she made her way to the small table on which she kept the wine. She picked up two glasses and poured the liquid into both of them. "Any fate is better than this. I would rather be dead right now, than here being used as a pawn in your evil plan." She offered a glass to Alicent, who took it and took a sip.
"I do not think being married to the king's brother, who in your childhood was your best friend, is a cruel fate."
Now it was the young Velaryon's turn to take a sip from her cup, this one being longer than the one the queen took. "Yes, when the love you once felt for him has turned to immeasurable hatred." She blurted out, accompanied by a small smile.
The next few hours were spent wandering around her room and drinking wine, occasionally standing by the window to watch the people pass by, nothing interesting. But once the time came, she was led to the throne room, where the ceremony would take place. Thank the gods it looked like it would be an intimate ceremony.
The ceremony began when Aegon, the great son of a bitch and usurper who now warmed the throne with his ass, walked her to the altar, where Aemond, with his head held high and no expression on his face, stood waiting for her. His fucking handsome face, made her sick.
She clicked her tongue as she realised the intrusive thought that had just crossed her mind. "Pathetic." She mumbled before she reached where her future husband was waiting for her.
Huge was the relief she felt as she slipped from Aegon's grasp. The disgust she felt for this man, sadly her uncle, was inhuman. How she wished she could cut off his head and give it to her dear mother. She thought as she gave him a look of disgust, after he had left her at the isle.
She looked up at Aemond, who was watching her from top to bottom. She raised her head defiantly, to which he let out an arrogant little chuckle, shaking his head. She looked at him again, in detail. She looked at his face, it seemed to show serenity and determination, there was still a small smile on his stupid face. It seemed that nothing that was about to happen caused any kind of reaction in him. She, on the other hand, felt a knot in the pit of her stomach and her breathing was agitated, no matter how well she hid it, her nerves were killing her.
Before she could even process anything, they were already deep into the ceremony. The Septon asked Aemond to place the cloak over the young Velaryon, to protect her from the eyes of the people and the gods.
"You may now cloak the bride and bring her under your protection." Then came the sermon. "We stand here in the sight of gods and men to witness the union of man and wife: one flesh, one heart, one soul, now and forever."
It was now that they both held hands. Her hands trembled, but not his. The Targaryen prince really wasn't the least bit shaken by what was happening. He took her hand firmly, and with his thumb, he drew circular patterns on the back of it. It made her look at him and let out a hitched breath. That gesture was something they both used to do when they were children, as a signal to focus… and trust.
Was he trying to help her calm down?
A ribbon was literally tied around their hands, symbolising their union. "Let it be known that these two people are one heart, one flesh, one soul. Cursed be he who would seek to tear them asunder."
So she, herself would be cursed if she tried?
The young man who wore the patch looked at the one who was to be his wife from now on, watched as tears formed in her eyes, and as her lower lip trembled briefly, only to be stopped by her biting it. He knew there was an inner conflict gnawing at her. He couldn't help but clench his jaw as he watched the scene.
"In the sight of the Seven, I hereby seal these two souls, binding them as one for eternity. Look upon one another and say the words." They both faced each other and a few seconds later, after a brief silence in which they stood looking at each other, they proceeded to say their vows.
Aemond took up the gesture he had made earlier, and began to make circular patterns on the back of her hand. The reaction it caused in her was new. It was like a fluttering inside her, as if she had an army of dragons inside her, flying all over her. "Father, Smith, Warrior, Mother, Maiden, Crone, Stranger... I am hers and she is mine. From this day, until the end of my days," he recited.
At the same time she said hers. "Father, Smith, Warrior, Mother, Maiden, Crone, Stranger... I am his and he is mine. From this day, until the end of my days."
Oh, seven gods. The moment had come.
"With this kiss, I pledge my love." The silver-haired man took her chin between his index finger and thumb, and with a gentleness she herself believed he lacked, he brought his face close to hers and placed a soft kiss upon her lips.
The act lasted only a few seconds, but she could not help but feel a certain familiarity in the kiss that had just sealed their fate. He felt it that way too.
"You swore oaths to protect and defend my blood!" King Viserys shouted angrily, as he shot a glare at Ser Criston.
"It will heal, will it not, Maester?" Alicent asked in anguish to the Maester tending Aemond's wound, who had just lost an eye in a fight with his nephews not long ago.
"Flesh will heal, but the eye is lost, Your Grace." replied the Master to the boy's mother. That answer caused Rhaenyra's eldest daughter to look across the room at the young prince.
The young Velaryon was not present when her two younger brothers and her cousin Baela, got into a fight with Aemond, her best friend, who called her brothers bastards. While this was going on, she was suffering something cruel and disgusting that she wished on no one. Once she was able to extricate herself from her situation, that was the scene she saw, everyone full of wounds and cuts, along with a broken nose for her younger brother and a lost eye for her best friend. Or rather, the one who once was.
She sat against the wall of the Driftmark's great hall, deep in thought, saying nothing, until she heard Alicent say. "Ser Criston, bring me the eye of Lucerys Targaryen." She stood up with a speed she had never seen in her before, which made her quickly dart into the crowd of people in the middle of the room, where the whole feud was taking place, and stood in front of her grandfather Corlys Velaryon, who was protecting Luke with his own body. Unarmed, she held out her arms, trying to prevent anyone or anything from harming her little brother. She would never allow it.
"You will not do such thing.” She heard her mother say in defence of her youngest son.
"I will bite you hard, Ser Criston." Threatened the long silver-haired girl, trying to sound intimidating.
And after that the discussion became more personal and intense between Rhaenyra and Alicent, once the King stopped Ser Criston from taking Luke's eye and made it clear that anyone who questioned the legitimacy of the princess's children would lose his tongue. Once silence reigned over the place, as the tussle between the two women ended with her mother getting a nasty, bloody cut on her arm, it was the firstborn heir to the throne who spoke first.
"You are all monsters." Were the words that echoed through the great hall, most of those present looked at her. She was resting her gaze on Aegon, and lastly Aemond, at whom she stared with a serious face but also with a frown. She was trying to tell him something. "Real and disgusting monsters." She repeated again but in a whisper, as she put a hand to her neck and tore off the medallion Aemond gave her, then threw it at his feet. He looked at the ground and then back at her.
The boy who, less than an hour ago, had been her best friend all her life, looked at her in the same way, but now his one eye reflected sadness. "Do not mourn me mother, it was a fair exchange. I may have lost an eye, but I gained a dragon." After saying those words dedicated to his mother, he looked at her again.
At that moment they both knew that their friendship was completely broken, that the damage was irreparable, and that this was how it was meant to be.
His quarters were clearly much more spacious than hers. It looked as if from now on this was where they were both going to live, to lead a marital life together. She surveyed her surroundings, since the last time she had been there things hadn't changed much. What was most striking now was some pitchers of different alcoholic beverages on a small table in one corner of the room. Also striking was the large number of swords, it was certainly curious that Aemond collected the swords of opponents he had beaten.
"I do not know what your drink of choice is, but here you go." Said her now husband, setting a wine glass down in front of her, who was seated in one of the chairs surrounding the round table. "Dornish wine."
She looked at the glass and took it silently, then took a sip. "I hope you have no expectations of tonight, husband."
He took a seat across from her. "Who said I did, dear wife?"
"You know, the bedding ceremony." She said dryly. "People will want to make sure you fuck your new wife, that our marriage is consummated. I'm sure your brother wants to be a witness and watch you brand me anyway."
He let out a small chuckle and then sighed. "There will be no bedding ceremony." Aemond rested his head on his hand, leaning fully against one of the chair's armrests. "It is not my style to degrade my partner in such a manner."
"What is your style then?"
"Private. Keep it between me and her, at least most of the time."
"Hm, good to know."
"And yours. What is your style?" The husband of the young Velaryon, now Targaryen, asked curiously. She looked at him silently in reply.
"You assume I have lost my virtue, by any chance?"
"Have you not?" the Targaryen prince was curious. "I think it's natural to want to explore when you're young, and lose your virtue."
"Yes. I have- I was- Aemond, yes, I have... done it before." She answered him truthfully.
"With someone I know?"
"Perhaps." With that the girl finished what was left of her drink.
"Ser Criston is out of the question, for starters." At those words she looked at him curiously, he drew a crooked smile on his face. "He is your father, apparently."
"I see you're into eavesdropping."
"Let's just say I prefer to keep up with everything that concerns my wife."
She gave a cynical laugh. "And how does it feel to know that your family has forced you to marry a bastard? Unbeknownst to them.” She asked, narrowing her eyes, expectant for his response.
"I don't care at all." He admitted with a shrug.
"Hm."
"I have a present for you." He said.
"Let me guess. It's a necklace with a medallion with the emblem of House Targaryen?"
He reached into his pocket and pulled that exact thing out of it. That necklace that he had once, six years ago, given to his friend.
"I know you do not trust me, and you never will, probably. But I want you to have this."
"Why would I accept it this time?"
"Because of what it symbolizes, clearly."
"House Targaryen?"
"No. The friendship we once had." The prince with the patched eye said as he rose from his seat. "That even if you do not trust me, I am willing to place my trust in you, and that even if you do not believe it, you will always have my protection."
"You seem to have feelings for me." She commented.
"Did I say I did not?" He admitted in the form of a question. "May I?" he asked for permission to put the necklace on his wife.
She looked at his outstretched hand, which had the necklace on it. She nodded slowly and brushed her long hair away from her neck. Her husband circled her, as he had done the first time he had put the same necklace on her, but now he noticed a slight difference.
A scar. A rather long one on the right side of her neck. It was as if someone had tried to slit her throat once.
Still staring at his wife's scar, Aemond finished placing the necklace around her neck. "I've never seen it on you before."
"I've never liked to show it." She whispered, reaching up to the decanter of wine to put more in the glass. "This is the reason for the name I was given. The Red Mermaid." She sighed as she said her nickname, and as she remembered the reason she was given it. "You would not know its story."
"I have always heard different versions. It is hard to know the real reason behind the name you were given."
"You want me to tell you what really happened, husband?"
"That is your decision to make."
"Make yourself comfortable, it is time for me to tell you a story." She said before taking a long sip of her drink, she was about to finish it and pour herself a third glass.
Aemond took note of this and took the decanter away from her. She had already had too much to drink throughout the day. "Enough for today. Please proceed to tell your tale."
"It all happened four years ago, when I was going through a very dark time." The young woman began to narrate. "I thought of taking my own life. So that night, after dinner, I escaped from my room and went to the beach, the one where most of the ships disembark. I thought, water extinguishes fire, there is no more poetic death for a dragon-blooded Velaryon than drowning. They say it is an agonising death, but in the end, when you stop fighting, a great peace comes over you."
The silver-haired young bastard fiddled with her glass, as she glanced at the fire she had lit in the room's chimney. She sighed heavily and closed her eyes, trying to find the strength to continue the story.
"I had already stopped fighting when someone pulled me out of the water, when someone decided to save me. I couldn't have been more wrong. The person who tried to save me had been watching the whole scene, without me noticing." The young woman gave a sad smile to her husband. "After pulling me out of the water and leaving me on the sand, that man tried to rape me. I do not remember where it came out of me to fight, I don't know when my animal instinct came out of me. One moment I was about to drown and the next I'm lying on the floor of the beach, under the stars of that night, fighting for that not to happen to me again".
"What? You've been assaulted like that before?" Aemond jumped to his feet at that statement from the woman. His knuckles turned white from how hard he clenched his fists.
She continued with her story, not answering his question. "I guess it was my animal instinct and fear of going through the same thing that ended up with me throwing myself at that man's neck. I bit him so hard on the neck, that when he struggled with me… he cut me with his knife on my neck... it wasn't a deep wound, in case you were wondering." She finished her drink again.
She had never told anyone what really happened that night. She didn't know why the first person she told was him, her husband. Her enemy. But honestly, it felt good to be able to share it for the first time with someone. She felt lighter now.
"Did he get to do to you what he tried to do?"
"No." She answered him, tears starting to form in her eyes, but she quickly brushed them away. "I dug my teeth even deeper into him, to the point where I practically tore his tissues away... and he bled to death right there next to me. I lost consciousness soon after, and it wasn't until the next morning that some guards found me lying on the sand next to that man's corpse, still wet and full of blood from both of us." She sighed, and inevitably a tear rolled down her cheek. She rested her head on her hands and let out a small sob.
Aemond approached her carefully and knelt down in front of her. He took her hands and met her gaze with his. "Honestly, I expected nothing less from you." He admitted, giving his niece-now-wife a small smile, trying to comfort her.
She closed her eyes again and let herself get caught up in the moment. She leaned her forehead against his, who was taken by surprise by this gesture, but did not pull away.
Was honesty the only thing needed to mend the friendship they once had?
"I need you to be honest with me. Has that really happened to you before? Have you ever been… raped before?" He asked looking at her.
She nodded, and with a frown of anger and helplessness at the memory of what had happened, she began to sob. Aemond, unsure of what to do, took a deep breath, and slowly pulled the girl to the floor so that she could sit next to him and then he could embrace her. He tried to comfort her in the same way that, in what seemed to have been a past life, he used to do.
"When? Who?" He asked still clinging to her, with one hand on her lower back and another resting on the nape of her neck.
"At the funeral of my aunt, Lady Laena." She murmured into his neck.
"Who? Please tell me who?" He asked. "Do I know him?"
"Yes." His young wife replied in the affirmative, as she turned her face away from the prince's neck and looked up at him with red, still tear-filled eyes. "Your brother."
"Aegon?" he asked in confusion.
She nodded. "He was the one who raped me. He was who ruined my life."
"You are all monsters. Real and disgusting monsters."
That's when it all made sense.

Unthinkable Fate (Rhaenyra Targaryen imagine)
Unthinkable Fate (Rhaenyra Targaryen imagine)
Pairing: Rhaenyra Targaryen x female!reader
Requested: Yes
Warning: petty fights, its enemies to lovers and y'all know my inspo is kanthony from bridgerton, angst, arranged marriage, incest right?, typical warnings for anything westeros, spoilers for episode 4 and maybe 5 (even though its not out yet as i write this) of house of the dragon
-
“You will wed Lady Y/N Velaryon, and you will do so without protest.”
“The daughter of the Sea Snake. So I can be a remedy for your political headache.”
“You are my political headache!” Viserys exclaimed.
After leaving her father, Rhaenyra felt as if life was sucked out of her. A marriage to Y/N. She could endure being wed to any lord in the Realm if it meant she would still be heir. But being wed to her? How was she going to survive?
The Velaryon’s were always at the Keep, after all, they were family. Rhaenyra and Y/N were the same age. Over the course of their childhood, they had some minimal fights that were always resolved minutes later. Even if they did not agree with most things, they always gravitated to each other. Now? Not so much.
She remembers it clearly. Six years ago, the entire family was at the dragonpit, visiting the dragons. Since Alicent was also present, due to Rhaenyra’s insistence, Y/N wandered off by herself. She could hear hushed laughs behind her. Y/N saw them looking at her while whispering, which set her off completely. It all ended in blows. The adults were bewildered, they truly did not know what to do or say. Corlys rushed his daughter away, demanding to know what caused it. After Y/N explained, he did not understand much, but knew that those fights were common with girls her age. The issue was not forgotten by them. Viserys and Rhaenys discussed what to do, and the best solution was to keep them separated. And it has been that way ever since.
At High Tide, Y/N was beside herself. Her father had just told her the news: she was betrothed to be married. Once Corlys left her bedchamber, Y/N sat down to sob. There had not been conversations of marriage at all in the castle, at least for her. Her parents decided to not push the subject, knowing it would cause a fight and Y/N possibly leaving Driftmark for good.
This is her fault. We are in this mess because of her.
-
The following days, both families met to discuss the “royal wedding”, as Viserys liked to call it. Y/N was nowhere to be seen. Rhaenyra was looking for her.
She found her eventually, sitting on a rock at the beach. “There you are. I have been looking all over for you.” Rhaenyra was panting, it was a long walk. “Have you decided what decor you want… for our wedding?”
Y/N looked at her with a mixed expression of disgust and annoyance. “Do it yourself. We are in this situation because of you.”
Rhaenyra was taken aback. “What?”
“We are being forced into this marriage because you decided to have fun and do questionable things. Do not get me wrong, having fun is important, but actions always have consequences. And here they are.” Y/N ranted, standing up and getting in her face. “Oh, and do not think I have forgotten about what you did at the dragonpit. Do not talk to me unless it is necessary, dear wife.”
Rhaenyra was speechless. Yes, they did not like each other, that was clear. But it had been years since that incident. She thought that Y/N would have put that behind her. It was now clear that the marriage would be hell.
-
Rhaenyra and Y/N moved together to Dragonstone, along with Syrax and Jarax who surprisingly got along quite well. It was a sight to see, dragonkeepers were surprised to find them laying together at first, a shocking sight, especially since their riders could not stand each other.
Rhaenyra and Y/N had separate bedchambers. It was clear that they could not be in the same space for a long period of time. For meals, they ate at the same table, but far from each other. They did not see each other much during the day, but when they did, it was a fight.
-
There were bakers in Dragonstone per Rhaenyra’s request. This meant they had delicious cakes and sweets available every day.
Y/N walked to the dining room, finding many cakes. As she looked through the table to see what to try first, she spotted lemon cakes… without any lemons on top.
“Rhaenyra,” Y/N huffed out, grabbing the tray of lemon cakes and marching towards Rhaenyra's bedchamber.
Her wife sat on the floor, many books opened and others discarded, making a mess. Her face turned into a scowl when she saw Y/N walk in, without knocking. “What do you want?”
“You are insufferable, I hope you know that,” Y/N stated, throwing the tray without care on top of her lap. “Eat the entire cake, not just the lemons. If you wanted a lemon slice, go ask for one. If you pull this stupidity again, the bakers will be dragon food.”
Rhaenyra was speechless at this outburst but deep down, not really surprised. After Y/N left huffing, she laughed. Making her mad was easy.
-
Rhaenyra loved having fresh flowers around the castle. The space feels full of life.
In one particular area, there was a table with many trinkets. Rhaenyra placed a vase of beautiful roses, brought from Highgarden. It looked lovely. Please with her new addition, she left to find a book in the library.
However, when she returned, the vase was not there anymore. “Y/N,” Rhaenyra grumbled. The vase was now on a table in the middle of the sitting area. It did look beautiful but that was not where it should be. Rhaenyra moved it back to its original place.
The silent fight went on for hours, whenever they came out and saw the vase, they moved it where they wanted it to be. Rhaenyra had enough.
She barged into Y/N’s bedchamber, holding the roses. Rhaenyra lifted the vase so Y/N could see it. “Hope you had a nice look, because I am throwing them out. I will not be getting any more flowers thanks to you not keeping your hands to yourself.”
When she left, Y/N smiled, feeling relaxed. She did like making Rhaenyra mad, as payback for the lemon cakes.
-
At last, everything changed.
Y/N was on her way to get Jarax, so they could fly along the coast of Dragonstone together. She loved the way the breeze felt against her skin. The stuffy castle was driving her mad. She prefers to be outside, enjoying nature. Rhaenyra was at one of the balconies, looking at her from a distance. It has been a long four months, full of constant petty fights. In that time, they had also received letters from the family, asking how things were and telling them what was happening back home.
Jarax layed on the edge of a small cliff, looking rather discontent. Maybe he needed this as well. “Hello, handsome boy. I missed you.” He let out a soft grunt, before nudging his head towards her. Y/N caressed his cheek. “Ready for a little fun?” When she got on his back, he extended his wings to take off but she felt him flinch, hard. Y/N held onto his back as tight as she could but to no avail. He gave a hard turn, taking Y/N by surprise and making her slip off.
Rhaenyra shot up from her seat when she saw Y/N plummeting into the water. She ran through the castle, screaming to the servants and the knights of what had happened. Her heart was beating uncontrollably, tears already falling out of her eyes.
Time seemed to stop in Dragonstone. As Rhaenyra was almost reaching the beach, she saw knights going into the water. Y/N was not far from the shore. Fortunately, the distance of the fall was not too far either.
A knight named Gregory carried Y/N onto the sand. She gripping his shoulder, clearly still in shock. She coughed loudly, probably feeling uncomfortable from having swallowed too much water.
“Y/N!” Rhaenyra cried, almost throwing herself on top of her. She wanted to ask so many things at once but the words would not come out. She was a nervous wreck, touching Y/N everywhere, trying to find an injury.
“Princess, it is alright,” her maid Annora said, while placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. Rhaenyra practically pulled wife onto her lap, rubbing her back softly, while Y/N tried to catch her breath. “We will get the Maester.”
They do not know how long they sat at the beach. The couple felt like it was hours but in reality, only minutes went by. Gregory carried Y/N back to her bedchamber, where the Maester Gerardys was waiting.
As he got to work, Rhaenyra stood in the corner, motionless. The anxiety was too much for her at the moment. Yet she would not dare to open her mouth. Y/N came first, always.
“Excuse me, Princess,” a knight called out, snapping her out of her trance. “The dragonkeeper would like to speak with you.”
Rhaenyra nodded, leaving the room immediately. The man was standing farther from the door, for privacy. “Speak.”
“We examined Jarax. It appears his wing had been injured. He had not complained about it, therefore we do not know if it was a recent injury. It is possible he tried to ignore the pain, for the sake of going for a ride with Lady Y/N.”
Rhaenyra pinched the bridge of her nose, trying to get herself together. “Where is he now?”
“Laying with Syrax, she did not want to leave his side,” the keeper confessed. Rhaenyra nodded and told him he was dismissed.
-
Rhaenyra went back to the bedchamber after the Maester left. Y/N was in her nightshift, wrapped in furs. “Hello.”
Y/N smiled softly. “You came.” She said, feeling a little surprised.
“Of course I was,” Rhaenyra said, sitting next to her on the bed. “I was not leaving you here by yourself. You are my wife, after all.”
Their hearts fluttered at that. Hearing her say those words was strange but it felt right. After many years of fights and constant bickering, that hate progressed into love and admiration. Quite possibly, all those fights they had since arriving at Dragonstone felt like they were not fighting at all, just mere teasing each other.
“You really scared me today,” Rhaenyra whispered, picking at invisible fuss on the fur. “I thought I lost you.”
“I am alright, it was just a scare. Nothing to worry about,” Y/N assured her. “I am lucky my father showed me what to do if I fell in water, otherwise it would be very different.” After a pause, she asked, “did they say what happened to Jarax?”
“His wing was injured,” Rhaenyra informed her, causing her to gasp. “It was minor but apparently painful. I think he got it while playing with Syrax.”
Y/N giggled. “Seems like something that would happen to him.”
They fell into a comfortable silence. Y/N had stood up, despite Rhaenyra's inaudible protests. She watched as Y/N walked around her chamber holding a small chest in her hand.
“Here, this is for you,” Y/N beamed, happily pushing the chest onto Rhaenyra's hands.
Somewhat unsure, she opened it. It was two beautiful gold rings with red stones. “Where did you get this? They're lovely.”
“Remember that day I left after our stupid fight? I went to Dorne… Found these as I walked around the city.”
Rhaenyra did not say anything, yet she slid one ring on her own finger and grabbed Y/N’s hand, doing the same for her.
Y/N grabbed her hands, softly pulling her up from the bed. “Tell me what is troubling you.”
With shame, Rhaenyra lowered her head. “Since we arrived to Dragonstone, I have been thinking about our fight when we were younger… I was a fool. Alicent was talking about your dress, saying some idiotic thing I do not even remember anymore. I was so immature at that time, but if it was now, I’d have her head on a spike for speaking about you that way.”
“Rhaenyra, I-” Y/N tried to speak but fell quiet when she felt her wife caressing her cheek.
“I love you, Y/N,” she confessed, finally feeling as if weight was lifted from her shoulders. “I always have. I guess that spending all these years fighting made me love you even more.”
“I am glad you finally admit it. I thought you never would,” Y/N replied cheekily, making Rhaenyra roll her eyes. “I love you as well. I am sorry for taking this long to actually say it.”
They looked into each other’s eyes and it was clear, they were both nervous. Feeling brave, Rhaenyra traced her jaw with her fingers and felt Y/N leaning towards her touch. Their lips finally pressed together, they felt soft. Rhaenyra's heart pounding in her chest, she had wanted to be with her wife for so long.
It was their second kiss, the first one they shared was at their wedding. It was passive at first, they did not want to make each other uncomfortable. As they pulled apart, Y/N asked “are you alright?” It was not answered with words, but with another kiss. Not as shy as the previous one, hands already moving all over her body. Rhaenyra finally feeling sure of what to do.
There was anticipation in Y/N’s eyes as Rhaenyra carefully laid her down on the bed, laying on top of her. She needed her, they needed each other. Their bodies touched, sending shocks through them.
Y/N kissed her passionately, their tongues dancing together. She had imagined this so many times, but nothing came close to what she was experiencing in that moment. Y/N slowly started to pull down Rhaenyra’s shift, the need of feeling her skin was overwhelming.
Rhaenyra ran a hand up her leg, enjoying the feeling of her body twitching. She hicked them up, making Y/N wrap them around her waist. As she trailed her hand higher up on Y/N’s thigh, she let out a soft moan. Rhaenyra reveled in it. She loved to know exactly how she was making her feel.
The lust and need for each other grew with each second, they could not stand it any longer. Rhaenyra tore off both nightshifts, feeling impatient. She was hungry for her wife. Y/N’s heart raced as she took in the sight of her. Her eyes were dark as she tried to memorize Rhaenyra's body.
They kissed again. Y/N held onto Rhaenyra's hands as she felt her kisses going from her cheek, to her jaw, and to her neck. Y/N moaned and shuddered as Rhaenyra softly rocked her hips into her.
They spent that night together, making promises, whispering promises and professing their love for each other.

Chapter One / Chapter Two
Summary: You would think that there was nothing after death, right? Well, you were wrong. After a deadly accident, a certain God gift you with a second chance to have a better life and to help a certain Dragon King. (I’m sorry 😂 I suck at summaries)
Warnings: ANGST!!!!!

"Move, Piglet!" Jessica, the most popular girl in school, said as she pushes Y/n into the floor. All her books and papers spread around her on the floor.
Jessica and her snobby group of girls laugh and walk on Y/n’s papers, leaving a footprint on it. A tired sigh fell from her lips as she starts picking up her stuff, tears trying to escape from her e/c eyes. People pass by her , murmuring quietly and giggling while looking down at her weak form.
This has been Y/n all life. Being step on, thrown away, bullied, and other cruel things. Jessica and her group had been making Y/n life a living hell since middle school. She tried to ignore and stay positive but nowadays was hard since she was so tired of being the joke of the day in her school.
When Y/n had picked up her stuff, she start her journey back home which she wasn’t very excited to do.
Things at home aren't also good for Y/n. Her dad is every minute of the day drunk. Since her little brother's death, Y/n’s dad had never been the same.
James died from cancer. He was eight years old. When the doctors found out, it was too late. Since then, Y/n’s dad empties all his anger on her when he's drunk, slapping her and saying that she should have been the one to die, not James.
Y/n’s mom just stays there and watch, not saying anything or try to stop her husband from hitting her daughter. She stays her days in James's room, crying while clutching to his favorite teddy bear.
Cleaning a small tear from the corner of her eye, Y/n walks down the street. Heavy, dark clouds begin covering the bright sun and a gush of wind runs through her.
"The weather guy was wrong," she whispers while looking up to the dark sky. "It's going to rain today."
Suddenly, Y/n hears a loud horn. She looks to the side and see massive bright lights coming fast towards her.
A huge truck runs her over. Y/n body falls on the cold ground, with a pool of her own blood beside her. A hiss fell from Y/n’s bruised lips as an awful pain spread through her head and body. She thinks that she may have multiplier bones broke, along with her skull.
Y/n lungs ache when she starts coughing, blood running down her lips. She tries to move her head but it was too painful. Y/n hears screams and the sound of sirens but she knew that it was too late for her. No one could save her from this.
"Your dreams have finally come true....Dad." That was Y/n final words. Her eyelids become heavy and her vision was blurry.
~~~~
"Poor child."
A deep voice echoed around Y/n. Opening her eyes, Y/n saw nothing but white around her.
Where in the hell am I? She though. Maybe I'm in heaven.
"In your short life, all you knew was pain." the deep voice talked again. She looks around, trying to see to who belongs the voice. "Don't be afraid, Child. I'm not going to hurt you."
"Who are you?" she asked while standing up, noticing that there's no trace of her injuries from the accident. "Where am I?"
There's a deep chuckle in the air which made a shiver run down her spine. "People call me many names," he says. "Many-faced God, The Faceless, The unwanted stranger but you can call me Death." Y/n mouth hangs open as he reveals his tall, slim figure.
He was wearing a black cloak and the only thing she could see, was his pure white hair and his bony hands.
Death?! So, he's real. She thought.
"And you are in my realm. I'm still deciding where I should send you." his voice echoed around her.
"W-What do you mean to where should you send me?" Y/n voice trembles while she looks at him.
"Heaven or Hell." He says with a chuckle. "But of course the best option is Heaven." Y/n sighs in relief with his answer but quickly vanish when he let out a wicked laugh. "Or maybe I have a better place for you, Y/n... There's someone that needs your help. A King. A Conqueror. Son of the Dragon."
Y/n’s head is full of confused thoughts. A King? A Conqueror? Son of the Dragon??!! What the hell he's talking about?
Death raises his long arm and snaps his bony fingers, making a strange bright circle appear in front of the two.
"W-What the hell is this??" She asked in panic, not knowing what Death is talking about. "You are going to send me to Heaven, right?" Tears were running down her cheeks freely, frustration boiling on her blood. "I-I just want to rest... I just want some peace."
He put his bony hand on her shoulder, squeezing gently, trying to comfort her. "Do not worry, Child. I promise that you will find your peace there... in the arms of the King," he says softly, cleaning her tears with his thumb. "Oh! And one more thing....What do you say to Death?"
Y/n whimper while she rubs her eye with her hand. "...Not today..." She whisper.
He chuckles and taps her cheek. "Very good!" he says proudly. "Now, enjoy your new life, Lady Y/n" with that he pushes her into the portal, making her squeal in fear and excitement.
~~~~
"Aegon! You must do something!" Visenya growled to her brother and also her husband.
Aegon sighs from his seat and rests his chin on his large hand. "What do you want me to do, sister? Mount Balerion, fly to Dorne and drown the city in flames?" he asked his older sister. "I think that option wouldn't work very well."
"But it could work! House Martell is the only house that hadn't bend the knee to you, their King!" she shouted, slapping her hands on the map shape table. "It's the last kingdom that you need to conquer, brother!"
Aegon huffs in annoyance and stood from his seat at the table, walking towards the large windows of the war meeting room in Dragonstone. His violet eyes fixed on the three large dragons flying in the bright blue sky.
The truth is that Aegon is tired of all the wars and death that he and his sisters had caused. He wants a break, a time just for him. To leave all his responsibilities behind and fly free on the back of his beloved dragon, Balerion....but that wasn't an option either.
"Maybe we could negotiate with the Dorne Queen? I could fly there with Meraxes." Rhaenys, his younger sister and wife, said with her beautiful, hopeful smile.
Aegon stayed silent, thinking on the proposal that Rhaenys made. Between his two wives, Rhaenys is the most tender and gentle. She could change the Dorne Queen's ideas and make her bend the knee to the House Targaryen.
Nodding, Aegon looks to his young sister and smiles. "Very well," he says. "Maybe that plan could work but be careful Rhaenys. You never know what could happen in Dorne." He looks back to the sky and frowns as he sees a red comet coming down at a great velocity.
"What in the Gods is that?" he whispers, his violet eyes following the comet, noticing that had fallen in the land beside Rhaenys's Hill. A cloud of smoke hovering the land.
All three dragons roar at the comet fall, making Dragonstone walls shake. Visenya and Rhaenys run quickly to Aegon's side, looking at the huge cloud of smoke on the other side of the sea.
"What's that?" Rhaenys asked.
Aegon turns and walks towards the door, his steps large and heavy. "I don't know but I'm going to check it." With that, Aegon climbed to Balerion's back and flew towards the massive cloud of smoke.
Hey Guys!!!! So, I know that this was to be a one-shot but I was having so much fun writing this that I'm making a small series. I hope you enjoyed this first chapter and feel free to comment and tell me what you think!

There were rumors about Rhaegar being with another woman, but you decided to trust your husband over silly people’s words. How foolish of you! Then Lyanna Stark was supposedly kidnapped and raped by Rhaegar, but you knew better. He took her away, fearing what you might have done to her out of rage. Her father and oldest brother came to plead with your father in law, but he killed them, starting a war, which was called the Robert Rebellion.
At first, you thought he was sleeping around with some random whore because you were pregnant. Since, men tend to do that due to the lack of sex, but you never thought Rhaegar would be one of those men. After all, he was kind, gentle, loving and caring. For all the years you’ve been together, he’s been nothing but good to you. Never raised his voice or hand on you.
The two of you met, while you were training. He immediately noticed your skills and instead of announcing himself, he decided to fight you with a knight’s helm on. You came close to defeating him, but he won. He was the first man to ever defeat you. You were curious to know who that man was and at that moment he revealed himself. Instead of bowing down to him, you complimented his fighting skills as if he was a normal man. That’s what he liked about you. You treated him like anyone else. With kindness and respect but not as if he was in a higher class than you or anyone else.
Naturally, you were loved by your people and each one of them would die for you.
Flashforward to the war, there were rumors that Rhaegar was killed by Robert Baratheon. The mad king was murdered by Jaime Lannister and the army of the Lannisters sacked the city.
“My lady, we have to go now. The King is dead and there are orders to kill you and the children” your handmaiden entered your room and locked it behind her. Luckily, there was a secret corridor that led to the sea, where a boat awaited you.
“Let’s go! It’s alright, you’re gonna be safe, I promise you” you kissed Aegon and Rhaenys’ forehead.
From the secret corridor, you took the children and stopped by Rhaella’s chambers.
“Your majesty, it’s time to go. King’s Landing has fallen” you informed her.
Unfortunately, she her water broke and she was about to have a baby girl; Daenerys.
“Your majesty, listen to me! You can’t have this child yet. If you do, they are going to kill it in front of you, then they will rape you and when they’re done, they will kill you. We need to move now! Just hold on a little longer” you wrapped her arm around your neck and helped her up and out of the chambers.
Your handmaiden took Viserys, Rhaenys and Aegon ahead of you.
When you reached the boat, you helped the queen on it first and started boarding the children, when three guards appeared.
“Kiyara take the children and leave, now!” You instructed your handmaiden.
“But my Lady-“.
“Do as I say now!” You kissed your children goodbye and as the guards tried to reach them, your Valyrian steel sword blocked their attack. “NOW!” You started fighting them and prevented the guards from reaching the children.
“Just three?” You asked.
“One can take you down” one of the guards said.
“If you’re so sure of yourself, why bring three? I’m the Warrior Queen. Who are you?”.
“I will be remembered as the knight who killed a queen” he smirked.
“Presumably you do live to see another day, do you think people will think that’s honorable. Three soldiers against a pregnant queen? I don’t know what’ll be more dishonoring that or that that queen defeated you and spared your life”.
“You are in no state to win” he looked at your belly and you looked down to see. You had been wounded when you tried to defend the children, but only now did you start to feel it. You feared that your nightmare has come true and that you’re losing your baby. You were so enraged, that you attacked them without thinking, tearing them limb from limb until two of them were dead and the third wounded and begging on the ground for you to spare his life.
“I would have, but you harmed by unborn baby and now I’m gonna rip your heart out with my bare hand” you knelt next to him and took his heart out from him to see before he died.
You may have one this fight, but you’ve lost the war. You lost everything. Your children were gone. Your husband was supposedly dead, the Lannister army control the city now and you were sure that you were losing the child you carried inside of you. You were badly injured and didn’t know what to do next. You lay on the sand next to the dead guards and waited for your death. Until you heard the bells.
A feeling inside of you told you that Rhaegar is still alive and is back with a bigger army.
You took your sword and went back to the city. Tywin Lannister saw you and because he knew he was losing, he wanted Rhaegar to lose as well. He took an arrow, lit it on fire and shot you in the stomach with it. Fire was surrounding your body, but luckily for you, you were wearing war clothes made of Valyrian Steel, so they didn’t melt, exposing your naked body to the world.
You took the arrow out and started bleeding again. You wanted Tywin’s head and you eventually got it.
“H-how?” He was surprised to see that you were immune to fire.
“You don’t have the time to find out” you slit his throat and ripped his head off.
Your army was winning the war and Rhaegar was searching for you, worried that you might have died.
“Y/n! Y/n!” He shouted in the streets of King’s Landing until he saw you from behind. He knew that outfit right away.
You turned to face him, blood all over you. Some of it yours, the rest of your enemies “Rhaegar” you muttered dropping your sword and collapsing on the ground.
—-
“Where are my children?” Was the first thing you asked once you woke up.
“They’re on their way home. You need to rest” Rhaegar placed his hand on yours.
“No, no! I need to see my children”.
“Y/n, you lost a lot of blood. You need to let your wounds heal”.
“You want to talk to me about wounds? How do I let my wounded heart heal? While, I was pregnant with your child, you were fucking Lyanna Stark. Then you dared to run away with her, leaving me and your children alone. Where were you when they sacked the city? Where were you when they almost killed your family? Your mother? Your brother? Your unborn sister? Your children? Me? You were too busy fucking her that your flesh and blood didn’t matter to you”.
“Y/n, I- I’m sorry”.
“Is that all you have to say? That you’re sorry? My baby is dead, isn’t he? His blood is on your hands, but mine as well, for staying here when I knew you’ve gone with her. How foolish of me!” You sat up and tried to leave the bed, but you were too weak to do so.
“Hey, hey, listen to me! It’s not your fault. I’m sorry for what I’ve done. I truly am. I will do anything to make it right again”.
“Can you bring me back my dead son? No, I thought so. I want you to leave! When the children are back. I’m going to take them away. Away from here, away from you. Away from the danger that surrounds you”.
“Y/n, don’t do this”.
“Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t”.
“I- I love you”.
“That’s not even a reason to begin with”.
“I’m the king now! I won’t let anything or anyone hurt you”.
“You promised me that a long time ago, but look at us. How can you not let anyone hurt me, when you’ve been doing that all along?”.
“I won’t let you leave! You can’t take away my children from me!”.
“Your children? The same ones you left to die? Now you want to be their father? If it wasn’t for me, they would’ve died and me along with them, leaving you to return to nothing”.
“You need to rest. I will place guards in front of you chambers and a handmaiden and the healer will stay with you” he informed you.
“Are the guards for my protection or to prevent me from leaving?” You asked.
“Both” he admitted.
“I hate you!”.
—-
When Aegon and Rhaenys returned, Rhaegar immediately took them to your room escorted by Kiyara.
“Oh, my babies!” You sat yourself up and they ran towards you to hug you.
You winced from the pain but didn’t let them go.
“Alright. Children! It’s time to go, let your mother rest” Rhaegar instructed.
“No, I just got them back, I won’t lose them again”.
“They are safe here! Nothing will happen to them” Rhaegar reassured you.
“Liar!”.
“My lady” Kiyara bowed and greeted you.
“Kiyara! I’m glad to see you. You’re the only one I can trust in this place” you looked at Rhaegar.
“Then, she’ll stay with the children”.
—-
Days have passed and you were still locked in your chambers. The children would visit you every day, but Rhaegar didn’t let them stay that long. Finally, you have recovered and started walking normally again. Today was the day you’ll get out. You didn’t know what was happening outside those four walls that you confided in.
“I have brought you food” Kiyara entered your chambers and greeted you.
“I’m finally leaving” you expressed.
“About that…” Kiyara seemed uncomfortable.
“What is it, Kiyara?”.
“It- it’s nothing”.
“Everyone out of my chambers!” You ordered the others to leave “you can tell me now, what is it?”.
“It’s…”.
“You’re scaring me! Did something happen to the children?”.
“No. His majesty brought someone back with him” she informed you.
“Lyanna?”.
“Not just her. Aegon-“.
“What does Aegon have to do with it?”.
“He had a child with her a- and named him Aegon. I wanted to tell you so you wouldn’t be surprised when you see them”.
“That monster! He dares bring his mistress and his bastard child to my residency. My city” you were so angry at him. After all, this was a sign of disrespect.
You got dressed and went to the chambers where Rhaegar was having a meeting.
“How dare you do that to me?! What kind of honorless man are you?” You barged into the room.
“Y/n, we can talk about this later. We’re discussing important things”.
“Don’t ever speak about importance again! I’ve had enough. I am leaving you and I’m taking the children with me” you threatened and he immediately ordered the men to get out and close the door behind them.
“What has gotten into you?” He held your upper arms.
“First, I lose my child because of you. Then, I’m confined in my chambers for weeks, only to find out it’s not because of me, but so you could have more fun with her. And now, you bring her and your bastard child here. Why do you hate me so much? What have I ever done to deserve this?” You crumbled in front of him and he knelt next to you.
“I don’t! I love you! I didn’t tell you before because I wanted you to heal properly and I knew if I told you, you would’ve collapsed again. She’s only here because of my son. He needs his mother. Once he’s old enough, she’ll go back to Winterfell. I do not love her. It was a mistake! But I will not abandon my son, the way I did with you and my other children. Give him a chance!”.
—-
At the beginning, you hated that baby so much and couldn’t bear to look at him. Whenever you were walking in the Red Keep, Lyanna wouldn’t come out of her chambers, but Rhaegar took the child out, for your children to familiarize with him.
With time, you have grown to love him. After all, he was innocent and wasn’t to blame for his parents’ sins. He was like the son you lost. That’s how you treated him, but you called him Jon.
You didn’t let Rhaegar into your chambers or anywhere near you, but he understood. You needed time to heal and you might never forgive him, but he was trying his best to make it up to you for the mistakes he made.

Qarth was a beautiful city. Not like any you have seen yet. The people were welcoming espically the man that had vouched for you three and your people. He had let you stay in his house and he gave you a beautiful orange-gold dress and he gifted Aegon something to wear too.
“You like it?” You ask Aegon as he finished getting dressed. He looks down at his clothing and just tilts his head to the side.
“I feel much more comfortable the Dothraki clothing or what I would wear in Dorne.” You laugh at his comment.
“Maybe you should write to uncle oberyn to send you some clothing from Dorne.” You suggest.
“I will but for now I’ll wear this it would be rude not to.” He says to you and you him in agreement as you go by him.
“Help me with this.” You say as your back faces him so he could help you with your dress.
“Being here brings us a step closer to getting the throne.” Aegon said as he finished tying the dress.
“Yes I know.... we really haven’t been able to talk since the Dragons were born but do you think we can trust Daenerys? Do you really think she wants all three of us too rule together?” You ask Aegon and as you turn to face him.
“It’s been done before hasn’t it? We can do it now.” He says and it gets you thinking. It’s true your ancestors Aegon the conquerer, Visenya and Rhaenys had all ruled together but they were married to one another. Does it mean that Aegon would have to marry Daenerys as well? But you didn’t ask Aegon what you had thought. But what you didn’t know was that he was also thinking the same thing.
You had left Aegons quarters and went to Daenerys who had invited you to her room where her doreah and Irri were. When you arrived to her room she was feeding her dragons. She turned her head to look at you and then a wide smile appeared on her face.
“That dress looks beautiful on you.” She complimented you. You look down at your dress and run your hands down your dress. You look up at her and smile.
“Thank you.” You respond back and notice that she has yet to put on the dress that was also given to her.
“Come join us we’re just feeding the dragons.” She says waving you over to where she was sitting with the dragons in front of her.
You get sad as you seem them there. All three of her dragons had lived and yours died because she was born weak. You barely had time to spend with your little dragon but you still loved her for that little time.
“Help me feed them, Viserion already ate his food but Rheagal hasn’t. And I’ve been trying to feed him for a little while, let’s see if he’ll listen to you.” She says as she hands you and a piece of meat. You grab it gently and place it in front of the green dragon. You’ve seen both Aegon and her feed their dragons and you knew what you needed to say to them.
“Dracarys.” You say and the dragon tilts his head the side and then looks down at the food in front of him. He opens his mouth and breaths out a small flame of fire on the food. The flame is small but still hot. It didn’t burn you but you could still it’s warmth in your arms when he breathed it out.
A smile erupted on your both yours and Daenerys faces as you both saw him eat.
“He likes you.” Daenerys told you as she clasped her hands together excited that her dragon had ate. You put your hand out for Rheagal to go on. He looked at your hand and then went on it. You pet him gently on top of his head before putting him back in his little cage.
-
(Aegon)
His dream had come true. It was still unbelievble to him that this had happened, that his dream had came true and that he had a dragon of his own. But what he mostly couldn’t wrap his head around was that dream that came true. He didn’t know why it had happened or why just him. He also didn’t know if it had happened to any other Targaryen. He wanted to know more but he didn’t know who to ask. He also didn’t know if their was going to be an answer to this.
“Here you go Elirion. Dracarys.” He said to his dragon. The dragon then burnt the meat and ate it. Aegon had seen that his dragon listened more then Daenerys dragons did. Then again they were still babies.
“He’ll feed himself from now on.” Aegon told Ser Jorah who was sitting in chair in his quarters.
“Should we trust these people Ser Jorah?” He asked curiously. Ser Jorah followed Aegon with his eyes as he sat down beside him.
“One of them bled for you and let you in to the city.... I wouldn’t say to distrust them completely but you also have to keep an eye on them.” Ser Jorah told Aegon. Aegon nodded his head and then a thought came to mind. Something he’s been thinking about ever since the funeral but has never had the chance to say. He cleared his throat and his body completely or face Ser Jorah.
“Should I Trust Daenerys?” Aegon asked. Ser Jorah shifted in his seat and rubbed his chin. “I mean her wanting y/n and me to rule along with her. Because before she wanted her and Drogo to take over. And now she wants us together to take the throne.... you spend a lot of time with her, so should I trust her?” He asked. Ser Jorah stayed quiet for a moment only making Aegon more curious and more anxious.
“Yes you should trust her intentions. She doesn’t wish to trick you or y/n. She does truthfully want for you all to rule together she wants to take the iron throne back with you and y/n.” Ser Jorah told Aegon. Aegon now had a more important question. A question that also came with this situation.
“I need your advice for something else as well..... if we’re going to rule the three of us then that does mean that we can’t all marry. Their would be to many rulers, it wouldn’t work.” Aegon took a pause trying to find a way to say what he really needed to say. He took a deep breath and shut his eyes for a brief moment as he thought for a moment before taking another deep breath. “If we want to make this work then I’m going to need to marry Daenerys and Y/n ...... just like Aegon the conquerer did with his sisters.” Aegon said and then waited for Jorah to say something to him. He seemed to be in deep thought.
“We’re going to need discuss this with Daenerys and your sister together.” Ser Jorah said getting up from his chair. “We should go out now my King don’t want to keep he host waiting.” Ser Jorah said to Aegon. The answer suprised him a little bit really expecting for him to answer that way but then again he didn’t know what to expect.
-
(Y/N)
It felt I little odd being a feast that was calm and not as loud as the Dothraki. The dothraki were wild at feasts nothing like here. You were talking to a guest while Aegon talked to someone else. The talk wasn’t that interesting but you tried your best to pay as much as attention as you could. You caught Aegon staring your way a couple of times and when you would, you would just smile his way. And of course he would return it. You had caught once again looking your way he smiled but then it turned into a frown. It seemed like he wasn’t looking your way anymore but instead behind you. You turned your head to where he seemed to be looking at and you then saw it.
Aegon then made his way towards the situation that was happening behind you. It was the Dothraki who seemed to be looking at a statue and arguing about it. It had seemed to that Daenerys had also seen what was happening as well as just like you she walked behind Aegon and to where the Dothraki men were arguing.
“What are they doing?” Aegon asked Ser Jorah who was also here.
“Malakko says the statue his to heavy to carry, Kavharo says that malakko is an idiot they can pry out gems the rest is pure gold. Very soft we can chop of as much as we can carry.”Ser Jorah explained. Aegon sighed and looked over at Kavharo.
“Or melt it. Very simple.” Kavharo explained to Aegon.
“We are his guests. You can’t pry it or chop it or melt it.” Aegon told him.
“Of course not, Khal. We will wait until we leave.” Kavharo said making you smile a little at his presitance.
“Not even when we leave.” Daenerys then said.
“Why not?” Kavharo asked.
“Because our host saved us from the red waste and you want to steal from him? I will let hear no more.” Aegon said to them both. It seemed that they both understood. They both nodded and then excused themselves.
“My brother used to say that the only thing the Dothraki knew how to do is steal things better than a boat.” Daenerys said as you all then walked together.
“It’s not the only thing they’re quite good at killing the better man.” Ser Jorah said and before anyone of you could answer a strange man called out to the three of you. He was tall and skinny and he had blue lips and it did not seem to be paint. He did some form of trick that was hard not to be impressed by. He then went on and invited the three of you to the house of undying. It was quite weird and he was a weird man.
-
“So what are we going to do?” You ask Ser Jorah, Daenerys and Aegon who were all in one room discussing about what had happened that day.
“Xaro Xhoan Doxas asked if either one of us wants to marry.” Daenerys said to the group as she came to stand near you. Ser Jorah put his hand on his chin and you didn’t miss the look he gave Aegon.
“Maybe Aegon can marry the man after he’s the one who hasn’t married yet.” You say as a joke to Aegon. Aegon glances over at you and gives you a serious look. Daenerys smiled but she hid not wanting to get in trouble and meaning to be serious.
“Neither of you can marry the man because both of you will marry me.”
