you know, the concept of stigmata confuses me. I still don't know what exactly it entails other than the fact of it being 'the wounds of jesus'
and the fact that i have them
because of dog bites. That just so happen to be on both my hands.
#taks speaks#it comes to mind every time i look at my right palm#because that one is literally in my palm. scarred right between the middle two fingers#i mean. the other would be a looser definition given that its between my pointer and thumb#and more visible from the top than the palm#but still. that's basically stigmata#now what the hell is stigmata because googling it a while ago did nothing to clear that up#and why do i have this#also. i'm an atheist so even more confused#ntm there's a freckle on the back of my hand right behind the scar in my palm. it's weird#and one on the other hand too but a bit further off#and then there's apparently feet too. but i did step on a nail once but that didn't leave a mark#i don't think the bottom of feet scar#anyways. reading the wikipedia page now has confused me more#apparently old stigmata people were 80% women#and apparently the wounds would regularly bleed?? and if they drank from some sort of religious chalice they would feel#the pain of the lance that went through jesus???#what??#i know why i am still confused by this concept now. this has cleared up nothing#it's dumb but it's a thought
