Babes I’ve got Natasha thoughts now.
I just wanna go to a Navy Gala with her and have her tease me all night bc she knows I can’t handle seeing her in her uniform
SCREAMING CRYING SHE EXUDES BOSS BITCH VIBES AND IM ON MY KNEES FOR HER. ANY TIME. ANY DAY BELLA
How you don’t jump on her the minute you come around the corner of your room and see her there, straightening her cap out in the floor length mirror is beyond you. You were so cocky, thinking the deep maroon coloured dress would floor her. But seeing her in her pressed, tailored uniform, your knees almost buckle, she catches your reflection in the mirror and a small smirk appears at your reaction. She turns around and walks up to you until your noses are almost touching, she looks you up and down, slowly dragging her eyes away from your chest and up to your eyes before leaning in to whisper in your ear.
“Whatever plans you have, whatever tricks you have up your sleeve tonight, are not gonna happen, we’re going to this gala, and you’re gonna behave” She stands up to her full height again and cups your chin, eyes hard and uncompromising.
“Understand”
“Yes sir” you purr, smiling slyly at her, testing the waters of just how ‘behaved’ she wanted you to be. She squints, and squeezes your chin slightly harder.
“Careful”
Somehow you managed to control yourself through the car journey, keeping your hands to yourself, talking casually about who’d be there and what would happen.
Up until you had drank three (or was it four?) glasses of terrible champagne, sitting at a table next to her as she chatted to Mickey and Bradley about their latest mission, you giggled at them arguing over who flew faster.
Natasha looked over to you. smiling contently at her colleagues getting along so well with you, she loved how you didn’t hold back when you first met them, talking with them all immediately and asking them questions about their work. She loved how much you were invested in her job and her friends.
Big mistake.
As soon as you caught her eye, she noticed the joyful little smile on your lips turn devious, licking your lips and dug your nails into the inside of thigh, making her tense up with a sharp inhale and dart her eyes to you. You smile cheekily in return. She leans in and places a feather light peck on you cheekbone. Whispering to you so close her lips were touching the shell of your ear.
“When we get home, you gonna grind yourself on my boot and lick it clean” she growled, her hands snaking under your dress and up to the apex of your thighs, nothing no waistband to your panties.
“Fucking filthy girl” she tuts, tracing a finger through your lips, you snap your head to look at her, eyes wide and mouth open, fuck, she was really gonna do this, Her thumb brushes over your clit and you struggle to hold back a whine. Staring at her side profile as she laughs at something Mickey says, pushing a finger into your cunt and curling it, making your knee hit the table, blushing and dropping your head, biting your lip and scrunching your eyes, trying to compose yourself enough to at least sit at the table for a bit longer.
"Nat, Nat I can't, please" you mumbled, tugging on her sleeve, begging for her attention as discreetly as you could. She doesn't even give any tell that she heard you, adding another finger, slowly thrusting and curling them, making your thighs squeeze together.
"Something wrong babe?" she calls out, loud enough for everyone to look at you, she furrows her eyebrows in fake worry. You try your hardest to not glare at her, forcing a smile and shaking your head, muttering a half-hearted excuse with a shaky voice whilst keeping your hips from grinding down onto her fingers.

You woke up, rays of sun shining through the window of your room in the castle. After Aurora and Prince Philip were married, you being Aurora’s sister, she wanted you to be with her at all times. Prince Philip was kind enough to let you move in to one of the rooms in the castle.
Your first thought was to go to the balcony, opening up the door to spot a lot of people running through their business on this sunny day. You were thankful enough for the view the balcony gave you, where it out looked the kingdom and it had a very beautiful view when it got dark, something that tends to calm you on sleepless nights.
You closed your eyes shut for a moment, enjoying the peace and the birds that were singing.
Caaw, caaw, caaw
Your brows furrowed, eyes slowly open to spot a rather familiar black raven that now perched upon the railings.
You decided to playfully ignore the Raven for the time being, turning and closing your eyes again and letting the sun hit your face.
Then you felt something nipping on the sleeve of your night gown. Deciding that it was time to greet your friend, you chuckle and looked down at the raven before you.
“Hi there, Diaval, what brings you here?“ You ask, lifting your hand up and petting his head with your finger.
You see his wings shudder after a moment and you continued.
“Is mother around? I’d rather talk to you when you can speak, it’s rather hard to understand you like this.” You laugh.
Truth is, you admired Diaval for quite a while now, both of you grew close when Maleficent first introduced him to you and Aurora. You knew how his shapeshifting works and how he was able to turn into anything that Maleficent wished. You knew originally that he was a raven that was captured, but you were lying if you said you didn’t find his human form alluring.
You were cut off in your daydreaming when your room door opens, revealing Maleficent. You smiled widely, running over to greet her, Diaval following close by.
“Oh, I was wondering where you were.” Maleficent said, and you knew she was referring to Diaval.
“Is he bothering you (Y/N)? You know I could just turn him to a lizard then and there and just send him off flying into the Moors.” Maleficent said to which Diaval whined in an angry way which meant he did not want that.
“Mother, no, don’t worry he’s not causing me trouble.. Though I would appreciate it if you can turn him back to human..” You suggested.
She clicked her tongue and spoke. “I’d turn him back once you’re dressed and downstairs, your sister is looking for you.” Turning on her heel, she walks out of the door, motioning for Diaval to come with her.
Pink rose to your cheeks as you nodded, Diaval turning his head to you.
“Don’t worry, I won’t be long.” You reassured and he reluctantly followed Maleficent.
After bathing and dressing properly, you headed down to meet the others.
“(Y/N), about time you woke up!” Aurora, your sister piped up at you.
“Oh shush Aurora!” You laughed.
You sat with them at the dining hall, though your eyes were searching for black ones. Although Aurora seemed to have taken notice of your attraction towards Diaval that she leaned towards you.
“He’s there, look!” She whispered with a giggle as your eyes snapped in the direction she discreetly pointed at.
And there Diaval was, walking towards the dining hall, skin smooth and white as snow, slicked back hair, the noticeable marks on both sides of his temples, his clothes that lightly exposed his chest, markings that threatened to peek out of his shirt accompanied by his black coat.
You felt that you were taking your sweet long time staring at him as your sister had to pinch your hand to bring you back.
“Oh- uh.. I’m sorry, what was that?” You asked shaking your head to get yourself out of the trance.
On the corner of your eye you saw your sister tried to hide her laugh by covering her mouth with the towel.
“You appear to be distracted lately (Y/N) dear, is everything alright?” Maleficent questioned. You quickly shook your head and decided to make up something.
“No mother, I just woke up funny is all.” You lied and hoped she would take it.
She stared at you for a while before nodding. “Alright.”
You definitely missed how Diaval’s eyes looked at you whilst you were busy coming up with a lie.
After everyone ate and done their duties, it was almost noon and you decided to get some fresh air and strolled through the gardens.
The flowers were exquisite, everywhere you laid your eyes on was a feast of colours. You felt proud that some of the flowers that bloomed were your own since you took most of your time tending to the gardens, seeing them bloom made your heart overwhelmingly happy.
But as you walked, you couldn’t help but feel a pair of eyes staring at you, but you shake your head, it was probably just you.
Simply put, you lost track of time and before you know it, it was already sundown. You ought that going back to the castle was a great idea but that idea was taken from your head when a guard stepped up in front of you.
“Oh.. I was just on my way back.. excuse me please.” You excused politely, trying to move out of the guards’ way but he didn’t budge.
A lump in your throat started to form, you still tried to slip through his side but he suddenly gripped your hand, tugging you towards him.
“Let me go,” You spat at the guard “I’m sparing your life, unless you want to be met with the terrible consequences of your actions.”
“Oh? Might as well make this worthwhile.” He said, yanking you close. Before he spoke again, a voice spoke behind him.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you.”
The guard turned and you had a good look at the owner of the voice. It was Diaval. You thanked the gods for his arrival.
The guard seemed to tense up, but he kept his hand on your wrist firm that it was starting to hurt.
“Or what?”
“Or I could turn into a creature you deeply fear and rip you limb from limb.. slowly..” Diaval said with venom underlying his tone as he inched closer.
The man seemed to come to his senses as he finally let go and stumbled upon his feet to escape.
You stood there frozen and Diaval was quickly on your side, inspecting your hand and your face.
“Did he do anything to you, (Y/N)?” He asked. Diaval was clearly fuming with anger at the man yet he managed to soften his tone when he asked you.
You nodded, holding onto his arm.
“I’ll walk you through your room now, alright?” He asks, searching your eyes for any disagreement, but there was none.
After making it inside your room, you changed into your sleepwear while Diaval waited outside. Once you gave him a signal to come in, you were sat on your bed.
“That bastard’s gonna pay.” You heard Diaval mumble under his breath.
You motioned for him to come over and sit beside you.
“I swear (Y/N), if he decides to lay a finger on you again-“ You cut him off by pressing your lips to his cheek.
“Thank you for saving me back there.”
You didn’t miss how his skin turned lightly red at your action but you continued.
“Although I feel this isn’t an appropriate time to say this but I no longer care.” With a deep breath, you looked at him straight in the eyes and spoke.
“I have been inlove with you for the longest time now, Diaval. I’m surely you’ve taken note someway somehow but here is me saying nothing but the truth. I take it upon me to understand if you don’t happen to feel the same way.”
His eyes widened at your confession as the room stayed silent, all that can be heard was the whispering of the cool night wind, and the occasional birds flying outside.
You fear that you ruined your bond with him as you decided to speak up when he didn’t.
When you opened your mouth, he finally spoke.
“(Y/N), I’ve also laid my eyes on you from the first time we ever met, when we grew close, my attraction only grew into love. It makes me so happy to learn that you feel the same.” He breathed out.
It felt like all your hopes was built back up, you didn’t destroy what you had with him. And most importantly, he loves you back.
You were quick to smile and cup his face, turning him to face you.
You saw how his eyes crinkled when he mirrored your smile and it only made your heart jump.
“I love you, (Y/N).”
“I love you too, Diaval.”
This was one of the happiest nights of your life, you both knew you had to tell Aurora and Maleficent sooner or later but that’s a story for another time.

Masterlist//Dusk Till Dawn Masterlist//Agape Masterlist
Ben arms wrapped around you as you snuggled into him, pressing light kisses to his bare chest as you two watched a movie. He too kissed the top of your forehead, but his eyes wasn’t on the TV, in fact it was on your two son who was staring angrily at his father who was smirking at him. Chase squeezed his toy dinosaur in his hand, not caring if it broke in his little fist.
“She loves me more.” Ben mouthed to his son who just let his bottom lip wobble before busting into tears and all Ben could do was watch the scene with widen eyes.
You jumped up from your seat, leaving Ben groaning on the sofa, whining how he isn’t actually sad.
“Chase is just crying for your attention.”
“Ben.” You warned him before looking at your son with soft eyes, picking him up and giving him huge cuddles and kisses. “What’s wrong baby.”
“What’s wrong is our son.” Huffed Ben and you looked over you shoulder at him, giving him a pointed look.
“I wasn’t talking to you.”
“But I’m your baby.” He whined.
“Not right now.” And you turned back around, rubbing circles on your back. You missed how Ben’s jaw feel open. He listened to how his son uttered out lame excuses for just bursting out in tears and Ben just stared at him in anger. Whilst you spoke comforting words to Chase, he looked over your shoulder and grinned evilly at Ben who’s mouth closed, and jaw tightened in anger.
“Gorgeous look at him!” Ben waved his hand towards Chase and when you looked all you saw was a face of a sad angel and not the mischievous demon Ben sure.
“Baby, sit with your dad for a minute whilst I go make you some hot chocolate.” You kissed the top of his head and before you could walk away Ben gently pulled your arm making you fall into his lap.
“Gorgeous can you make me one too please.” He asked you innocently but out from the corner of his eye he saw Chase getting ready for another tantrum.
“Of course my love.” And he kissed your lips, but you didn’t allow him to deepen it because your son was right there, Ben frowned slightly whilst Chase hid his smirk, knowing that you didn’t give his father the kisses he wanted. You stood up and Ben tapped your butt as you went, you throwing a warning look over your shoulder before shaking your head and making you way to the kitchen, door closing as you went.
And both boys grins of hearing hot chocolate dropped as they saw the door closed, before leaning in towards each other with anger and jealousy written all over their faces.
“Listen here, kiddo, your allowing here because of mine and your mum love for one another.” He pointed his finger at him, warning him not to argue back, but of course he did.
“But daddy, mummy did stop cuddling and kissing you when I cried.” He looked at him innocently. “She didn’t kiss you more either.”
“That-that was because you were there.” Nodded Ben.
“If you say so.” The little boy shrugged. “But mummy loves me more.”
“I’m her husband, she loves me more.”
“I’m her baby, she loves me more.”
“I’m also her baby!”
“Not anymore!”
“I love her more and she loves me more than you.”
“I love her more!” Chase argued back. “And she loves me more than you!”
Neither one could argue any more as you walked in, and they both smiled happily at you as you walked into the room with hot chocolates in your hands. But when you walked back into the kitchen to get yours the glares returned as they pointed and mouthed that they loved you and you loved them more.

I don’t have a specific request but I just really want to read another Little Moments blurb. Wether they’re teens or babies, I just love them. Have a great day!!
you have a great day toooo!! ok we can definitely do this!! there’s so many adventures they go on that i want to write about, but for now i hope you enjoy this blurb of the family going out for a pub meal;
oli - 21, felix - 19, belle - 16
It was family-night-Friday.
Well, actually, it was yours and Harry’s anniversary and supposedly date night, but your children had decided you’d all go out for the evening to celebrate instead. Whilst you were delighted over the idea of spending the night with your family, Harry wasn’t. He now, quote-on-quote, ‘can’t finger you under the restaurant table’, which is why he’s now in a sulk.
Chuffing man-child.
“Dad, can you at least pretend to look happy to be with your family?” Belle teased Harry, as you were all in the car on the way to the pub you were booked in for.
Harry was driving and Oli was sat in the front, since his legs were extremely long - a bit like his dad - to fit in the back. Unfortunately Felix got the short straw and had to sit in the back with you and Belle, Belle sitting in the middle as she was the smallest. Whenever you came to a red light Harry’s hand would slink behind his seat and dangle itself until you caught it with your hand and gave it a squeeze. It was the little moments like these that made you grateful for your family. For Harry.
Harry smiled and you knew it was real, because it reached his eyes, however he made it seem like it wasn’t real to antagonise his kids.
“Y’can pay for your own bloody meal at this rate.” Oli spoke, looking up from where he was messing around on his phone - probably looking at todays football scores.
“When did you become such a dad?” Felix laughed, scruffing with his brothers hair from where he was sat behind him.
“Dickhead.” Oli tried to reach out and smack his brother but Harry beat him to it and caught his sons fist.
“Oi, pack it in the both of you.” Harry pretended to be mad, but in reality he loved his children interacting with each other - even if they were play fighting.
You loved your little family. So much.
The rest of the journey was spent listening to whatever was on the radio. Belle had requested Capital FM, however much Harry would rather listen to BBC Radio 2. You heard Harry sing along to a couple of songs though, one being Niall’s new song ‘Our Song’. The journey was quiet but peaceful, allowing you and your thoughts to spend 10 minutes or so alone. The word passed by outside as you drove down some pretty sketchy country lanes, until you rounded the familiar corner that had ‘The Cherry Tree’ situated on the left-hand side. It didn’t take long for Harry to pull in and park up, making sure he didn’t leave any valuable on display.
You climbed out of the car and waited for Belle to shuffle out herself, before shutting the door behind her. It was still a bloody Range Rover…
“Y’alright my love?” Harry asked you, locking the car and sliding his hand into yours to hold. His familiar warmth made you smile and your goosebumps melt away.
Your children walked off ahead, talking about goodness knows what with each other. It was funny to see how small Belle was next to her brothers. She, like you, was smaller than the men in her life and also smaller than you. She walked sandwiched between her brothers as they walked inside the restaurant.
“Never been better.” You answered truthfully, cuddling yourself into his side more. He was more than happy to accept you there.
Harry opened the door for you and you walked in after you. He kept a hand on your lower back as you walked to where your children were standing waiting for a waiter.
The room was large and really atmospheric. Lots of chatter from belly laughing customers and tiny toddlers who were on the loose. You spotted people lining up for a carvery and there was a separate area where a pizza oven burned away. As soon as you saw the meat and the roasts though, you knew that’s exactly what you wanted. And with a glass of red wine - divinity.
“Nice and warm in here.” You stated, having been quite cold outside. You spotted a wood burning fire in the corner and guessed that’s where the room got it’s hear from.
“Y’cold m’love?” Harry asked, furrowed brows over you and your health.
“Was. Better now.” You answered.
“It’s ‘cause we live in bloody England.” Felix huffed, stuffing his phone into his back pocket.
“Then move countries, please.” Oli answered in a playful tone, earning a light punch to his side from his brother.
“Idiots.” Belle rolled her eyes at the both of them.
“This is why you’re my favourite chid.” Harry answered jokingly, but everyone knew he secretly meant it. He often spent more time with his Belle and would treat her with a teensy tiny bit more love than his boys, but they were okay with that.
“Charming dad.” Oli added, shaking his head as he crossed his arms over his chest.
“Someone’s been working out recently.” Harry pressed a finger onto Oli’s buff arm. He was visibly flexing, but he still did have a decent amount of built up muscle on him.
“Bro, not cool. We said we’d work out together.” Felix groaned, knowing he was slightly skinnier than Oli and the tabloids made sure to point it out. It didn’t phase him publicly, but you knew it did internally.
“Can work out with me, if you want?” You questioned Felix, already knowing the answer.
“No thanks mum. I don’t want to go to pilates or hot yoga with a bunch of mums.” He rolled his eyes, but earned a slap to the back of his head from his dad.
“Y’pest, be nice to y’mum.”
“It’s actually mixed gender for the hot yoga.”
“Well now you can say bye-bye to that class, missus.” Harry teased you, tightening his hold on your back. When Harry got jealous he got jealous - like pettily jealous. It was something you’d both worked on during the years together, but sometimes it did creep up. Like now.
“I’m not quitting that class, H. You can come with me if y’so bothered that other men and women might be staring at m’arse.”
“Y’bloody well bet i’m coming.” He told you, making you chuckle. He leant down and gave you a kiss to your lips, welcoming it with a needy kiss back since he rarely gave you lip kisses in public. This was pub in the middle of nowhere, so Harry felt safe to give you some loving.
“Ugh could you, like, not?” Felix groaned and his siblings followed. Harry pulled away with annoyance, a smile on your lips though.
“Y’should be happy I love y’mum.”
“I am, just not publicly.” Felix turned his nose up at the memory of his parents kissing.
“Leave us alone, it’s our anniversary.” You pouted.
“Like dad needs that excuse.” Belle snorted and rolled her eyes, making everyone but Harry laugh.
“You don’t need an excuse to love me, H.” You whispered to him and he leaned down to you with a smile.
“I know.” He kissed your forehead this time and brought you closer into his side as his kids were laughing with each other still.
“Where the fuck is the waited i’m bloody starving.” Oli grumbled, patting his belly lightly, clearly annoyed at the waiting of the staff here.
“Um, can I help you?” The shy waiter was bright red in the face from hearing Oli’s comment, making the rest of you snicker.
It was the little moments like these that made you appreciate your life and your little, happy, family.

[ Male vers. / GN vers. ]
a/n; uhhh, omg?? You guys are insane! I'm honestly shocked by how well Expensive Taste did! I'm so happy you all loved it so much, and I hope this part gets as much love and hype!
~~~~
“You’re a fucking joke, Sap,” Y/N spat, shoving Sapnap back as he stumbled backward. Quackity and Punz stood behind, watching as she walked closer, with a glare already set on her face. “Are you somehow surprised that I’m not some obedient dog?! Scared that the bitch is fighting back?” The spine-chilling smile made Sapnap take a step back before snarling towards his younger sister.
“I miss my real sister - the girl who’d never hurt anyone, wouldn’t fight back against someone trying to protect her,”
“I do not need your fucking protection, you fucking pathetic excuse of a brother!” Y/N’s voice bounced around them as the once thumping music came to a slow halt, causing everyone’s attention to shift towards the small group. The casino floor became swallowed with thick silence, as Quackity glanced towards Punz who took a step in front of her.
“That’s enough, everyone is to leave.” His voice amplified as everyone stood still, no one daring to move until he grit his teeth. “I said MOVE IT.” All jumped and began moving towards the entrance as he followed behind a small group of people, glancing over his shoulder to Quackity, who gave him a quick nod.
“Why don’t we just calm down-”
“Quackity shut the-”
“Don’t finish that fucking sentence, Sapnap.” Y/N stepped in front of her fiance, snarling at her brother who frowned. “This is between us, so focus your anger towards me.”
“Trust me, all my pent anger will be directed towards you, Sparkler.” He snickered as she narrowed her eyes, lips pressing into a straight line.
“Don’t call me that. You lost the privilege to call me that.” She growled, hatred and venom evident in her voice. A gentle hand tugged on her wrist, making her turn towards Quackity as he shot her a soft look before smiling, causing her frown to turn into a gentle smile.
“Why don’t we take this somewhere more private..?” The scarred man spoke easily as Sap scoffed, crossing his hands over his chest as Y/N snapped her attention back to her brother.
“Remember..? We have nothing to discuss, Quackity. This is between my sister and I.” The Blazeborn hissed as small waves of smoke lifted from his fingertips and curled up lips. She narrowed her eyes before taking a step away from Quackity, whose touch chased after her warmth.
“Don’t you dare go Blaze in here, Sapnap. Don’t start something you cannot finish.” She murmured, keeping her voice low but promising of a threat.
“You and I, now,” he snags her arm, tugging her towards the private back rooms as Quackity stood there, worrying, as he watched his ex take his Amor behind a closed door.
~~~~
She stumbled on her heels as Sapnap shoved her through the doorway, grumbling as she caught herself on the small stage.
“Are you fucking serious-” her voice trailed as she listened to the lock flip as Sap locked the door behind them, standing between Y/N and the door with a quivering smile. Her eyes grew wide as she took a step back, her heels dragging across the blacked-out carpet.
“Sap? Sapnap, what the hell are you doing-”
“It’s all your fault, you fucking whore.” He hissed, his eyes glowing the burning red and orange as he drew his Netherite sword. “You’re the reason I lost him, but I can gain him back… Easily.” He took a stride towards her, swinging the sword down as she stumbled backward, quickly kicking off her crystal heels as she moved around the small stage; blocking Sapnap from her.
“Are you fucking insane?!” She gulped, sneaking around the stage as Sap crept around the other side, snarling as he dragged the sword behind, tearing up the carpet with each step.
“Call me love-struck,” he spat, suddenly jumping across the smaller stage as her eyes grew wide, tumbling back and knocking into the floor as she caught the sword; a scream breaking through her lips as blood slowly leaked from the edge cutting into her palms. “Or love-sick, whichever you prefer.” He snickered, pressing his body weight into the sword as his own palm angled, pressing into the hilt and edge with a crazed look breaking through his Blaze-colored eyes. His dark hair sprouting into flames as she grits her teeth, releasing another scream as she pushes her arms up and into the sword, knocking Sap off and away as she sits up, heaving.
“You.. You fucking bitch!” Sapnap suddenly growled, causing her to glance up, her chest rising and falling steadily before a soft gasp left her lips. Sap sat with his side turned into the bottom of the black stone stage, clutching his face. Blood dribbled down from his palm, the steady stream giving a small glimpse into the true damage. His head snapped up, a large slice had broken through the skin of his cheek from his mouth.
Her eyes watered at the sight of her brother, fear suddenly prickling along the back of her neck as he moved to press his back against the stage while she began to shake.. The room began to feel warm - no hot.. No boil - boiling. It felt as if the air around her had begun to melt her skin off as the room around her slowly shifted. Bright lava began to ooze from between the ceiling tiles and to break and crack through the carpeted floor as she scrambled to her feet, spinning until the room had shifted into her last home… The sweltering and deathful Nether.
“Sap! Sappy, come back up here!” A gentle voice echoed over the tormenting pops of lava, Y/N’s eyes towards the voices before carefully moving towards them. Peeking over the netherrack, she swallowed a gasp as she recognized herself as a child, and a dark raven-haired boy swimming in the lava below.
“No way, Sparkler! This feels amazing, why don’t you,” he called in a sing-song tone. “Come down here?” The smirk was evident in his voice as Y/N frowned, suddenly feeling anxious as she watched the small girl lean closer to the edge.
“Sappy, you know I can’t swim like you! This is cheating anyway!” The young girl called down to him. The young version of Sapnap scoffed before climbing out of the large lava lake and climbing up the small netherrack hill towards young Y/N.
“Oh, shut it! It’s not cheating when you can easily just come in and get me,”
“I can’t! I’d.. I’d-” her voice trailed as the young boy scoffed, shaking his head free of the sticking lava bits.
“I’d - I’d - I’d - You’d what, Sparkler? You’d be fine!” He laughed as she gutted out her bottom lip, hugging herself despite the sweltering heat surrounding the young siblings.
“Can we please just do something else? I’m tired of playing tag anyway…” She muttered, playing with the burnt edge of her t-shirt, as little Sapnap nodded, moving towards where he had placed his t-shirt and clothes. His little Diamond sword glittering from the falling lava as he picked it up, admiring himself in the blades’ reflection.
“Yeah, why don’t we try your training some more? I know you went easy on that Techno kid..” Sapnap lightly spat as Y/N frowned, tugging out her own diamond sword. Tracing her finger along the edge, meeting her own eyes in the mirroring image. Furrowing her brows as she stared into the reflection, noticing a sudden… Glow to her eyes.
Suddenly, her sword is knocked from her loose grip, nicking her fingertips as it clatters to the cracked floor. Snapping her head up, she growled towards her brother whilst he smirked, holding his blades’ point towards her chest.
“One point for me, sis..” He cackled as she scoffed, scooping up the sword as he took a step back readying himself again.
“Not fair, I-”
“All’s fair in war, Sparkler,” Sapnap spoke matter-of-factly, tilting his sword to the side while shooting her a wicked smile.
“This isn’t war, Sappy..” She rolled her eyes as he huffed, launching himself at her. She stepped back, stumbling over a crack before raising her own blade. The sharp metals met together and yelled as Sapnap continued his attack, bashing down on the opposing blade with a sneer. Y/N caught his blade and turned her own away from her body, hooking his and forcing it off of her. She watched as he stumbled back from the sudden force, shock evident on his face as she turned and rushed away as icy fear shot through her veins at his loud huff of annoyance.
“This seems a little,” she paused, spinning towards the left and catching his sword easily. “Excessive, Sap!” She called over the continuous screech of the metals meeting each other; sparks flying as she continued to back away. Y/N kept walking until she glanced back to see the edge of the netherrack hill, the lava lake below them popping and bubbling as she grew wide-eyed.
“Sapnap! Sap, stop the edge-” she suddenly cried out before she felt his sword slice down her arm, effectively cutting through her t-shirt sleeve and her skin in angry backlash, the bright crimson flying out as the blade clashed onto the netherrack. Her own sword clatters to the ground, her tired body following as she grasps her injured arm, choking sobs and gasps leaving her as she cradles herself.
Sapnap stood over her shaking body, his grip loosening on the hilt before allowing the sword to clatter by his feet while watching his sister wither. He swallows thickly before stepping towards her, only to stop as she tries to scoot away, despite the edge threatening the promise of falling into the lava below.
“Sap? Y/N/N?” A voice called out as footsteps approached the sibling pair. Sapnap looked towards the area it had come from and he felt dread and fear shoot through his veins as one of their father’s rounded the corner - his bright blue hoodie and jeans standing out from the harsh red tones. “Sap, what happ- Y/n! Baby, what the hell happened?!” He rushed towards the siblings, skidding across the rough floor as he scooped up Y/N’s small, sniffling body as one of his hands dragged her hand away from the wound.
“What happened?” Skeppy hissed as Sapnap gulped, his palms began to sweat as he opened his mouth, eyes watering.
“I… I didn’t mean,” his voice fell as Skeppy huffed, the look of disappointment already spreading across his father’s face. Silent tears dripped down Sapnap’s burning face as Skeppy stood, lifting Y/N’s shuttering body and holding her close to his chest before reaching one with one hand towards Sapnap, tugging him close as they left the swords behind… One blade still covered with blood while the other laid, threatening to tumble off the edge.. Who knew that the swords would soon represent the siblings soon enough..
~~~~
“Y/n?! Y/N!? Mi Amor?!” Quackity’s voice broke through the darkness, Y/N’s eyes fluttered open as Quackity’s thumb brushed over the tears that streaked down her reddening cheek. She suddenly gasped, shooting up from the floor as her fiance dove back, avoiding her sudden action. She curls in on herself, looking wildly around the room before noticing the door open and Sapnap gone.
“Where’s - Where’d he-” Y/N shook, her nails digging themselves into the meat of her calf as Quackity moved forward quickly, grabbing her wrist and gently tugging her hands from their tight grips on her.
“Gone. He’s gone and he’s never allowed back here, especially not after pulling that shit,” he hissed, pressing his forehead against her own. The feel of his hair, beanie, and grip on her wrists helped her slowly calm down, despite the pounding of her heart.
“He’ll never hurt you again, not while I’m here.” He whispered against her hairline before pressing his lips against her warm skin. Y/N allowed her eyes to flutter shut once more, leaning into the gentle yet grounding touch.
“He.. What the fuck happened?” She murmured, just above a whisper as Quackity sighed, gently dropping her wrists and standing, offering his hand to her as she shakingly stood with him.
“I.. I don’t even know,” Big Qs voice trailed as he reached up, rubbing his eyes with his free hand before gently guiding Y/N out of the room. “I was talking to Punz about how weird he’s been acting, and then we heard you scream.. But, we couldn’t get into the room and we didn’t know what was happening, but hearing you scream and just the shouts and threats made my blood boil,”
“Q, my dream, I’m okay now.. Sure, a little banged up and bloody,” she lightly chuckled, leaning into his side while showing the irritated and dried-up cuts on her palms; he frowned. “But, I’m alive and that’s thanks to you.” She mumbled, pressing her lips against his, grinning into the kiss as one of his arms wrapped around her waist, keeping her close as someone cleared their throats from behind them. Tilting her head, she shot a grin to Punz as he mirrored the smile.
“What no thanks to the guy who dragged your psychotic brother out?” He huffed, yet the teasing tone gave its way. Y/N chuckled before stepping away from Quackity and towards Punz, gripping his chin and pressing a chaste kiss to his cheek.
“That better, ya big baby?” She teased, a smile crossing both of their faces as Q chuckled, moving to her side as they moved towards the office. A smile still present on her face, however the feeling of dread and anxiety washed over her shoulders as she leaned further into Quackity’s side - him easily accepting it.
Something in her heart and mind told her this wasn’t going to be the last time blood was spilled on this country's land..
~~~~
Sapnap stumbled as Punz shoved him forward, his knees and palms colliding with gravel. He spun on his knees, blood streaking down his chin and throat, staining his white tee.
“You made a mistake coming here expecting anything but blood to be spilled.” Punz spat, wiping his hand across his dark jeans, the crimson streaking across it. Sap coughed out a laugh, blood and spit splattering onto the sand.
“That’s my sister! That’s my blood and he stole her-”
“She came here looking for him, Sapnap. She chose to live here, to stay here, to leave your ass behind. Respect that before something happens that no one can fix.” Punz hissed, his arms crossing over his chest as they held each other’s gaze. The bloody man scoffed, slowly sitting back on his calves as Punz took a step back, keeping their gaze locked.
“I’ll come back, it doesn’t matter what happens, I’ll still come back,” the raven-haired man slowly moved to stand, causing Punz to frown before his attention dragged up, spotting a colorful hoodie climbing up the tall, sandy hill.
“Karl. You’re a little late,” Punz frowned before nodding towards the brunette’s fiance. “Next time, don’t let him leave the house.. Especially with ill intentions.” He clicked his tongue as Karl moved closer, standing next to Sapnap, a frown evident on his face. He only nods towards Punz, who returns the gesture before turning on his heel and leaving the couple.
Karl knelt down next to Sap, carefully helping him stand. He flinched at the large gash, gently touching the dried blood with trembling fingers. Closing his eyes and biting his lip, Karl pressed his forehead to Sap’s, feeling the sticky sweat and if he focused hard enough, he could almost feel his pounding pulse.
“Why are you such a meathead?” He mumbled, pressing a chaste kiss to Sap’s cheek before leaning back, swallowing thickly with a sigh. “Leave them be, Sap.. They have their happiness, we have ours - let them have this.” His voice shaking as Sapnap froze, his body growing rigid as Karl tightened his hold on him. He could feel the heat slowly rising from Sapnap’s body, making him huff as he gave a squeeze.
“Let them live in their happiness and let us live in our own happiness- it’s what we deserve after everything,” he mumbled into Sap’s neck, the heat causing Karl to sweat and burn red. He shook from the pain rippling through his hoodie and jeans as Sapnap scoffed, his eyes watering.
“I’m done,” he whispered, making Karl lean back slowly to look him in the eyes, seeing the slow tears streak from the corner of his darkening eyes. “I’m done being a second thought - second place. Why does she get everything? Why does everything get handed to her while I have to claw and.. And fight, and bite to try and survive..?” Sapnap’s voice quivered as the smoke slowly dissipated, leaving him slumped against Karl’s frame.
“You don’t have to fight them… We have our country - our kingdom - where we’ll be safe, and no more second place, yeah? We’ll have each other, we’ll… We’ll have everything we need.” Karl stuttered, sliding his hands up and cradling Sap’s face with a hesitant tap on his left side, avoiding the gnarled gash. “We’ll make it..”
“I don’t want to just make it,” Sap hissed, resting his hand on top of the smaller male’s hand with a sigh. Tightening his grip, trying to clench his jaw only to wince in pain as Karl stepped closer, pressing his chest against his. Blinking, he revealed his vibrant orange eyes, smirking, “I want her to pay..”
~~~~
Night fell over the lively country, the neon signs buzzing and the streets were bustling with life, cool air blowing past, knocking strands of hair free as Y/N pressed herself against the railing. Quackity and her had left the casino, escaping to the Space Needle with both their thoughts battling against one another. She sighed, eyes flickering all over their country, able to see the night allow it to breathe its true beauty.
A hand grazed her lower back, causing her to slightly jump before sighing and relaxing into the touch as Quackity came into view. Shedding his blazer, situating it on top of her shoulders with a gentle peck.
“Enjoying the view?” He grinned as she hummed, leaning into his side as he placed an arm around her shoulders, rubbing his thumb across the soft material of his jacket. Big Q side-eyed her, still seeing the dazed and lost look in her eyes before he sighed, turning her towards him. “Are you still worried about Sapnap?”
She couldn’t help but scoff, “I know I acted big and not afraid, but… I know Sapnap. He’s going to do whatever he sets his mind to, so who knows what the hell is going to happen.” She sighed, reaching up and rubbing her eyes, relieving the itch from her glittery make-up.
“Mi Vida.. I know him too, remember? I was engaged to him,” Quackity chuckled, reaching up and brushing his thumb over her cheek. “And who cares what the hell happens? As long as I have you and our country safe, I could care less about what happens.” He smiled, leaning in and pressing their lips tightly together. Y/N couldn’t help but smile into the embrace, brushing her nose against his before reaching up and caressing his cheek, her thumb rubbing across the ridged scar.
“You’re crazy, Quackity,” she shook her head with a small smile as Quackity nodded, reaching into his slacks’ back pocket, pulling out a small velvet box. Y/N’s eyes grew wide at the sight of the box, her brows knitting together.
“I may be crazy, but I’m so lucky to have you. You saved me.” He mumbled, opening the box and revealing the golden band with a glittering Sapphire shimmered as he picked it up, offering it as Y/N nodded slowly. Pressing another kiss to her lips as she melted into it. His thumb brushing over her hip, hugging her closer as if to mold his body around her - to protect her.
“And you saved me, Mi Caballero,” she muttered against his lips before leaning back, seeing the dreamy look on his face.
“Come on, we need to meet everyone downstairs for a meeting. We need to discuss what protocols will be needed to ensure that Las Nevadas continues to stand.” A wide grin split across his face as he backed away, his hand still holding hers tightly before pressing small butterfly kisses across her now decorated knuckle before retreating back into the needle.
Y/N watched with a glowing smile, her grip tightening around the jacket whilst tugging it closer to her; turning back towards the lively city, she sighed. Quackity would do anything for her, and she would do anything for him. And that’s the scary part. They would give anything and everything up for the other to live carefreely.. And yet their happiness lived with one another, now there was a threat to their paradise.
Straightening her back, turning on her heel, and moving back inside, her face hardening as she moved swiftly towards the stairs. Dropping her hands from clutching the sides of her boyfriend’s jacket, the clicking of her heels against the polished quartz caused a smirk to grace her lips. Stopping a few steps above the floor, her eyes met Quackity and Punz, who held smiles. Punz moved towards her, offering a hand as she nodded, smirking still as Quackity met her halfway. “What’re we waiting for, boys? An invitation?”
~~~~
Her skin began to turn a grey color - rotting, withered almost - while vibrant blue washed over her eyes, and erupted in flames from her fingertips. Sapnap stumbled back, a scream escaping his lips before he slapped a hand over his mouth; fear rushed through his veins as he felt his own skin begin to heat up, feeling threatened.
“Sap.. Sapnap, I don’t know what’s happening-”
“Stay back and… And just stay there! Wait till Dad or Papa gets back!” He huffed, gulping as he watched her move her fingers, adjusting to the strength of the flames. A giggle left her lips as he furrowed his brows, why did hers look so different? Frowning at the flames, he stood and moved towards her, his orange flames mixing with hers as he lightly giggled as the flames danced it almost felt like light tickles.
“This is so cool! I’m just like you, Sappy!” Y/N broke into a huge smile as he lightly chuckled before giving a small nod.
“Yeah, you are, Sparkler… This is so weird, why are yours-”
“Sap, Y/N! We need help with, oh my muffin,” Bad went silent as Sapnap and Y/N turned towards their father, their little eyes growing wide as he dropped the groceries. He quickly moved towards them, gently taking Y/N’s hand into his as she quickly dropped the flames, feeling embarrassment crawl up her neck.
“Y/N/N, muffin-cake, what was that? When did this start?” Bad asked, carefully as she chewed on her bottom lip before allowing the flames to erupt again from her fingers.
“I… I don’t know. I’ve been able to do it for a little bit, but I never needed to.. Are you upset?” She mumbled the last part as Bad chuckled, wrapping his arms around the small girl with a sigh.
“Of course not, honey! I’m just surprised that you’ve developed something like Sappy!” Bad pressed a soft kiss to her hairline as Sap watched, jumping when a hand landed on his shoulder turning to meet Skeppy, who was grinning up a storm.
“Looks like we have a Blazeborn AND Soul eater.”
“A… what?” Sap and Y/N spoke together, causing their fathers’ to laugh.
“A Soul eater, someone who is able to walk across soul sand faster, control souls from the flames, and if threatened - like how Sap gets to summon lava? You’d be able to take over someone’s soul to deter them from hurting you.” Skeppy explained as the two siblings nodded, blinking as they looked at one another.
“That’s so cool!” Y/N exclaimed as they chuckled, nodding along as Sap frowned. He was the cool one before… He was the one who had powers from the Nether, and now she got those too?
Everything began to melt around him, causing him to jump and dodge the large drops of his old childhood house. Sand burst up through the floorboards as he jumped, dodging the floor exploding up, knocking him backward, and causing his back to collide with the sand. Scrambling to his feet, he huffed as he saw a figure standing before him, licking his lips and squinting he noticed the stature… Y/N.
“Y/N? Hey, what the hell is-” his voice trailed as he watched a ball of blue flame hurdle towards him. Throwing himself off to the side, feeling the extreme heat fly over him as his arms covered his head. Sitting on his calves, he turned to see part of an oak forest erupted into intense, crackling blue flames.
“ARE YOU FUCKING INSANE?!” Sapnap screamed towards his sister, standing onto his feet and seeing her body facing him, a blue flame still flickering in her palm. She stood as if she had an injury, favoring her right side. Narrowing his eyes, he summoned his own orange flames with a snarl. “You know this isn’t a fair fight, Y/N!” He shouted towards her, carefully moving through the sand towards her with creased lips. Keeping his flamed hand out ahead of him, in case of her firing another flame ball.
He stopped in front of her, her focus straight ahead yet he flinched at seeing the bright whites of her eyes as he moved around to her left, glaring. Dried blood flaked off of the side of her neck and stained her t-shirt, while crimson still dripped down from her fingertips, a gradually growing puddle made him frown.
“Sparkler..? What the hell happened-” he spoke, only to get cut off as it felt as if someone had stabbed a sword through his chest. Feeling his throat slowly close as his heart began to work double-time to try and get more oxygen flowing. The flames on his fingertips died quickly as he coughed and gagged, his eyes rolling back as he dropped to his knees, clawing at his throat to try and relieve any of the force before falling face forward, blacking out.
~~~~
Karl gasped, sitting up as he awoke, clawing at his own throat, feeling his heart pound against his chest like thundering hooves. Turning over, he sighed at the sight of Sapnap asleep next to him, flopping back down into the covers, Karl flicked his tongue over his lips as he squeezed his eyes shut, allowing the tears to streak down his cheeks.
The worst part about being a time traveler is the stories that get spoiled for you.. Especially those who you care about. Dragging one of his shaking hands over his face, he sighed gently as he turned onto his side, curling into Sap’s back finding comfort in the warmth radiating off his skin. Wrapping his arms around Sapnap’s middle, he pressed his nose between his shoulder blades, squeezing his eyes shut as images of Sapnap’s body laid before him - blood and sand coating him.
“Sap..? Sapnap, wake up,” Karl squeezed his sides and arms, causing him to hum and roll over, cradling the brunette close to his chest.
“What Kar,” his voice slurred with sleep, causing a spike of guilt to pierce Karl’s heart as he buried himself into the raven-haired man’s chest, fighting back tears.
“I love you. I love you so much, and I don’t want to lose you, please just leave them alone.. Please, I can’t handle losing you,” he mumbled into his fiance’s chest, clinging to him while Sapnap’s thumb dug circles into Karl’s shoulder, attempting to bring the brunette comfort even while sluggish with sleep. Sapnap could only hum, his mind still plagued with deep sleep before pressing his lips to Karl’s crown, snuggling further into the mop of curls below his chin.
“It’ll be fine, Karl.. Get some sleep.” The raven-haired man sighed, holding his lover closer at the feeling of Karl digging his blunt nails into Sap’s side and back.
Both of their minds are plagued with thoughts of either killing someone they love or watching someone they love die - both know blood will be spilled and their happiness is slowly becoming what could lead to their insanity…
Despite his attempts, he knew he wouldn't ever be able to resist her, and for that, he didn't care what he had to go through, he was going to have her. Because she was his, and he was hers, no matter who knew.
And now we continue...
With his newfound set of mind, Lee made it his priority to say hi to Y/N every morning, smile, wave, and even engage he in conversation.  "You really are desperate aren't ya?" he thought, trying to be as gushy and nice as possible.  He was trying to be so different he wanted to gag.  Sometimes he wondered if this new act was something that Y/N would get used to and he would have to keep up this act for the rest of his life.
Y/N knew Lee was being weird.  The first thought she had was that he was sick, but now, as he openly made eye contact with her, spoke to her, even sometimes winked, she found herself thinking of the knives expert more than she thought she ever would.  He was sweet yes, but she's lying to herself if she didn't like the true Lee she knew.  Back when he was very avoidant of her, she saw who Lee truly was, but at afar.  He was snarky, mysterious, funny, British to the bone, and strong mentally and physically.
Barney saw this shit from the very beginning.  But, even as he didn't want his baby sister falling in love and being left brokenhearted, he knew the two good enough to know that they needed each other.  At one point, once he saw Lee start acting like a lovesick puppy, he started to secretly root for them, joining the ship Yin Yang and Toll had built months ago.  This didn't mean he was going to make it easy for the man either though.  They still all had a job to do and love is going to get in their way if they don't focus.
Tumblr media
Dropping down in the forests below, the Expendables, clad in black suits, weapons to attack 5 states, and high tech gear to guide them through the thick forest.  Barney, splitting the team off to get to the best views of the town under attack, tells the group where to go while giving them all ear pieces to keep up with communication.  Gunnar, going along the outskirts where the forest meets the open town lands, squats, getting a visual on the sniper at the top tower, utterly excited to finally use his new toy: a big ass bazooka.  Toll and Yin Yang sticking together to find shelters near one another but still separated.  Barney, not wanting to leave his sister alone on a mission, appoints Lee to her, knowing the two have each other's backs while still not getting into Barney's dangerous line of sight.
As the group splits, its only natural for the foreign enemies to spot them.  With the first cry, most likely to alert the opposing team's members, made Y/N's stomach tie up in knots, always an unsettling noise to be paired with the impending war ahead.  Times like these make her go into a dangerous trance, back to the war and military she was a part of for 10 years.  Even as the images flash through her mind, she tries hard to yank them away, focusing her for the time being.
As the war raged on, the pairs of teams the Expendables once had have broken up accidentally, communication soon being cut off during the blasts and explosions, leaving Y/N alone.  She had dropped it as she was taking cover from the harsh blows.  With her ear piece gone, she had missed Yin Yang as he had pinpointed the next blast of a missile, not their own, but the rivals as they aimed in her direction.  The team screaming her name through the earpieces, not knowing if she could quite hear them.  By the time Y/N saw her attacker, she only had minimal time to run away.  Getting a great distance away, her lungs burned as he leg caught a rock.  The missile falling seconds later, far away, but not far enough to stop her from the debris crashing and colliding with her small form.
Lee had turned a corner just in time to watch the horrific event play out in his eyes.  Sprinting, he rushes to Y/N, seeing her bloodstained clothes, cuts, and bruises.  Upon his arrival, she looked at him with such fear and pain, almost as much to make her cry as the adrenaline started to run out, the sheer intensity of the pain finally settling in.  Lee held her tight, moving themselves to the closest form of shelter, plopping down, and cradling her body into his own.  She was sitting in his lap, arms weak, and head leaning on his shoulder.  She had made it out fairly lucky now that Lee had gotten a closer look, but not lucky enough for a piece of shrapnel to lodge itself within her torso.
"Your gonna be fine, I swear!  You have to be okay!  I should've never left you behind," Lee almost choked out, as tears threatened to fall.
"Lee, I'm fine.  See?  It's just this piece, if you don't touch it, it doesn't hurt, so can ya' please stop shaking me?" Y/N responded jokingly, trying to lighten the mood as she didn't want Lee to spike her anxiety even higher.  "Do you have an earpiece on you?  Please, get Barney," she asked, wanting her brother more than ever.
"Yeah...Yeah I can do that," he said as he contacted Barney, holding Y/N in an iron grip.  "I was so worried you were dead...I didn't know what I would do with myself if you had. I- I-" Lee stuttered, getting lost in her Y/E/C eyes as they peered up at him.
"You what Lee?" she asked, starting to feel a little lighter with the amount of blood dripping.
"I love you Y/N," he admitted, now fearing for her life more now that he had admitted what he's wanted to say for forever.
With this, a lazy smile appeared on Y/N's face, chuckling lightly with delight, "I love you too Lee."  He could only muster a look of utter disbelief before the rest of the gang showed up, the rest of the mission finishing out in a blur.  At some point, whilst making their way to the hangar of the plane, Y/N had dozed in and out of consciousness, seeing Lee running her away from the mission's town, seeing the plane, the shrapnel being removed by Barney's concentrated and light hands, and later, waking up in a bed, in the hospital with Lee in the chair beside her.  Both of his hands wrapped around her tiny one.
He wakes up once he felt the bed move slightly, Y/N stretching her long worn out body.  Lee bounces out of the chair immediately, asking her if she needs anything, "The only thing I need is this British guy to sit next to me and play with my hair," Y/N responds playfully, Lee smirking as he takes off his boots, keeping his socks, and laying beside Y/N on the hospital bed, both dozing off together.
A quick, almost blinding light flashes once as snickers and mumbling was heard in the direction of the hospital room door.  With the pair now fully awake, and possibly more afraid than they were when Y/N was attacked, they both make eye contact with the res of the Expendables watching the pair, Barney front and center.
"Look, I-" Lee had started, trying to come up with an excuse for how they ended up like this, but ultimately coming up empty and out of excuses.
"No, ya' gonna listen to me.  You take good care of her, ya' hear me?  I'm gonna bust ya' balls if ya' don't, alright?" Barney answered defensively.  "You have my blessing, but ya' better not fuck it up.  I'm warning ya'," he continues, motioning for the team to give them privacy, Toll wiggling his eyebrows before he walks out.
Y/N, falling into a fit of laughter, moves to lay on her back, unable to flip on the right from where the stitches from the shrapnel were placed.  She looks up at Lee, him blocking her from the edge of the right side, her falling in the blissful feeling of love.
"I'm gonna be walking on eggshells for awhile I guess..." he glances at Y/N before continuing, "but I know it's worth it."
With this, Y/N cups Lee's right cheek, pulling him down lightly to capture his lips with her own, sealing the bond they've spent forever building.  Knowing that wherever, whenever, they are always a team, and are always going to be better as long as they are together.
“Such good manners” - GW 18+
18+
Hi everyone, I hope you’re all okay <3
Here is my first George story, considering making a part two so let me know what you think!
Female Reader
Warnings: public fingering, daddy kink
Minors DNI
------------------------------------------------------------
George was waiting outside of Y/N’s common room for her so they could go to breakfast. She came out of the entrance, her skirt a little shorter than normal and she had missed a button on her shirt, the lace of her little white bra on show for everyone. George stood against the wall, eyes studying her every move, from the way her hips swayed a little more than normal whilst her robe fell off her shoulder slightly to the cute lace that highlighted her chest.
She shrugged her robe back up her shoulder and smiled up at George. “Morning Georgie” she got on her tippy toes to give him a kiss, he met her lips in the middle (still having to bend slightly so she could reach him) and wrapped his arms around her waist.
He turned and pushed her back against the wall “what’s this angel?” his voice low in her ear while he ran the back of his hand down her chest, lightly tracing over the lace “thought you only put on a show for me” he fake pouted. He buttoned up two buttons on her shirt “that’s better isn't it” his eyes flicked up to hers, lips pressing a soft kiss to her cheek.
Y/N nodded,grabbing Georges hand and pulling him to breakfast. They sat at the Gryffindor table, George at one side and Y/N at the other as she quickly had to speak to one of the slytherins about a piece of homework.
“can you pass me the marmalade?” she asked sweetly whilst grabbing a piece of toast as she sat down.
“Not gonna say please?” he questioned with a slight smirk, she looked up at him and repeated herself, “can you pass me the marmalade, please”.
He passed her the little pot, “such a good girl using your manners, aren't you angel?” Y/N’s cheeks painted red at his reply and nodded her head slightly.
Soon George was making his way to his last class of the day which he shared with Y/N. As he approached the classroom, he noticed she was surrounded by Pucey and his mates, giggling away to their stupid jokes. The button of her shirt was undone again and George couldn't decide if she was doing it on purpose or if her shirt needed a new button.
Y/N noticed George and excused herself, she wrapped her arms around his waist “I’ve missed you” she took in a deep breath as the smell of his aftershave surrounded her. He placed a kiss to the top of her head and smiled. His hands rested on her shoulders as he pulled her back, eyes meeting hers.
“What did Pucey and his band of gits want?” his voice was serious as he looked her up and down.
“Oh, they walked me from potions, just talking a load of rubbish I suppose” she said innocently, on her tippy toes to place a kiss to his jaw.
“Oh yeah, I’m sure they just wanted to talk” he said sarcastically and grabbed her shirt, fastening the buttons once more “I think he walked you because he knew he could get a good view of this if he did”.
“I...I didn’t even notice” she mumbled, blushing slightly from embarrassment “sorry”. He kissed her lips softly and shrugged “don't be embarrassed angel,” he knew her like the back of his hand, “just, make sure your shirt is all done up properly next time, okay baby?” he placed another kiss to her lips.
Y/N nodded her head. “What do you say?” he asked and ran his hand up and down her cheek.
“I’ll make sure it’s done up properly” they both smiled at each other before making their way into charms. They sat in their regular seat in the back of the class. George watched Y/N carefully as she bit the tip of her pen, concentrating on everything Flitwick told them, her tongue poking out slightly as her pen danced along her parchment.
He couldn’t help but think about how cute she looked when she concentrated. She took a sip from a bottle of water and he watched as a single drop ran down the corner of her mouth, her tongue quickly swiping to catch it. His cock twitched slightly as he watched every movement.
 After about 20 minutes, he noticed her hand drop down to her thigh, pushing it up slightly and dragging her nails against the skin. Now his eyes burned into her thigh, knowing fine well that all he had to do was push it up a little further and her cute little pussy would be on show for him.
He placed his hand on her knee, sliding closer beside her, she smiled innocently up at him and patted his hand before bringing her hand up to write more notes.
He ran his hand further up her thigh and pushed up her skirt, his breath caught in his throat at the pair of white lace knickers that were revealed. He smirked at her, noticing how she was starting to get flustered - her eyes wide.
He ran his hand over the waistband of her underwear before running down over her clit and slit before sliding it up to concentrate on her clit. She felt her panties dampan, a quiet squeak left her mouth which she covered up with a cough before drinking some water.
Once she put her bottle down, she placed both of her hands around his wrist to try and stop his movements, too scared someone would see.
George leaned into her ear, his hot breath against her, turning her on even more. “I can feel how wet you are angel” he kissed just under her ear “Let me play with what's mine, don’t you wanna be good for me baby?”.
His words alone made her wetter, she nodded her head, face and neck flushed red. She looked around the room, everyone was too busy paying attention to Flitwick to notice George playing with her. Her hands slowly lifted off of his hand and he chuckled lowly “always so good for me”.
He continued to rub her over her underwear before pulling them to the side, running his finger up her slit, gathering all of her juices.
“Is all of this for me Angel?” he asked in her ear, subtly bringing his finger to his mouth for a taste. Y/N held in a whimper and nodded. “What was that?” he teased.
She looked at him, eyes a bit glossy, “all for you” she bit her lip as his finger moved back down to her, two fingers teasing her entrance.
“Gonna need you to be a bit louder for me next time gorgeous, can you do that?” he hummed in her ear as he pushed two fingers into her dripping cunt. She nodded, a breathy “yes” leaving her lips and George moved his fingers in and out of her.
 He added in a third finder and Y/N’s hips bucked slightly “You’ve got to sit still pretty girl, you don’t want anyone to see us do you?” he smirked as she bit her lip hard.
Soon enough he felt her walls clench around his fingers. She lay her head onto the side of his shoulder “C..can I cum Georgie?” she mumbled as her hand gripped around his wrist.
“That's not m’name” his fingers sped up slightly in her “need to ask properly baby if you wanna cum”.
Y/N looked around the room before looking back at George, “p...please daddy” she whimpered and mumbled into his shoulder, so quietly he almost missed it.
“Go on gorgeous, cum on my fingers” and she did, eyes shut tight, legs shaking slightly in her chair as she bit down on her lip to stop herself from moaning. George smirked down at her, fingers slowing before he pulled them out, moving her panties back to their original position before wiping his fingers against his clothed thigh, not thinking he could subtly taste her juices of three of his fingers.
He sat up straight and wrapped his arm around the back of her chair as he rubbed soothing circles on her back. The class ended about five minutes later, George stood up and grabbed his bag, slinging it around his shoulders before grabbing Y/Ns off of her chair once she placed her half finished notes in.
They walked to the first set of stairs which began to move, Y/N pressed her back onto George's chest as she relaxed into him. They were the only two on the stairs, Y/N was a step higher than George.
“Better listen good angel cause I won't be repeating. Fred and Lee are away to Hogsmeade to get some supplies so we have my dorm to ourselves. I need to quickly meet them on the third floor but you’re gonna go to the common room and go straight to my dorm, y’know the password. I want you undressed and on all fours, think you can do that for me?” she turned to face him, and nodded. George raised his eyebrows at her, jaw clenched
“Yes daddy, I can do that” she got out quickly. His hand wrapped around the front of her neck, pulling her in for a kiss before the stairs stopped moving.
Y/N practically tripped up the stairs as she followed her boyfriend's instructions, George giving her arse a quick smack before turning and walking down the corridor.
“Such a good girl” he smirked to himself.
                                      *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
I groaned as I heard a thump come from upstairs, the kids screaming at each other as they bickered. Looking down at the washing up, I decided to leave them for now, they could sort it between themselves. That was, until there was a louder thud, and all of them were screaming. I dried my hands on a tea towel, checking on the pie in the oven before stomping my way upstairs. That always freaked out the children, they knew they were in for a telling off.
“Right,” I announced my presence in the boys room, where the younger girls were also playing,“what is all of this racket?”
“He snatched the toys away from me!”
“She hit me!”
“She said a naughty word!”
“He pulled my hair!”
Everyone shouted over each other, meaning I got nowhere close to an actual answer.
“Alright!” I snapped.“Before you all yell at me again, this is what we’re going to do. Girls, go back to your room, boys you stay in here. You will wait in those rooms until I call you for your baths.”
They all groaned, none of them ever liked bath time, it took valuable time away from their playing.
“I will have none of that, do as I say.” the children made an act of slumping around, the girls dragging their feet as they walked past me.“I love you all.”
They murmured ‘I love you too’ before the doors to their rooms shut, and I laughed under my breath. They certainly had their father’s dramatics and unfortunately, both of our stubborn tendencies. As I headed back downstairs, the front door opened, John waltzing in and smirking as he spotted me.
“Now this is a pleasant greeting.” he cockily said as I got to the last step, wrapping his arms around my waist.
I cupped his face in my hands, leaning down to welcome him with a kiss.“Thought you would be at the Garrison.”
“You say that like I’m there every night.”
I raised an eyebrow at him, before we both laughed.“Just got to bathe the children, then we can eat.”
His eye line was at a perfect height to stare at my breasts, and he made a point of it.“And what’s on the menu tonight?”
I scoffed, raising his chin to look me in the eyes.“Pie. And that’s it.”
“We’ll see about that.”
The door opened again, this time Katie walking in. She made a disgusted face at the sight of her parents showing love for one another.
“Ah good, you’re back on time for once. You can help me with you brothers and sisters.”
“Alright.” she replied, intending to head towards the front room when I stopped her.
“What’s wrong?” I asked.
“What? Nothing.”
“There must be, you didn’t protest or huff at me when I asked you to do something.”
“Come on, spit it out.” John pushed.
“It’s nothing, really!”
“Katie, we can do this all day. Perhaps you should have less time out with your mates-”
“Fine!” Katie quickly gave in, which was unusual for her.“I...I have a boyfriend.”
“You what?”
“His name is James, he’s really nice! I’ve been seeing him for a while-”
“How long’s a while?”
“Uh, three weeks, maybe four.”
John’s jaw dropped, looking at me with wide eyes before going back to Katie.“Three weeks?!”
“I said maybe four.”
“Well it certainly won’t go to five.”
“Dad!”
“No Katie, he’s just a crush.”
“He’s not! I promise I really like him!”
“But how much does he like you? How do you know what his intentions are?”
“OK police inspector,” I patted him on the chest as I stood between them,“calm down, both of you. Now, Katie obviously like this boy, so we have to respect that. But Katie, you know you have to be careful around boys.”
“Yes, I remember you saying. I was wondering...could he maybe come round for dinner one night?”
“Oh, really?”
“Yeah, he liked the idea too. It’ll mean you can get to know him, then you know I’m safe.”
“I think that’s a lovely idea Katie.”
“What?!” John exclaimed.
“John.” I warned him.“You arrange it with him, perhaps sometime next week?”
“Thanks mum!” Katie beamed, giving me a quick hug.
“That’s alright darling. Now, go get your brother’s and sister’s ready for their baths whilst I draw it.”
I kissed the top of her head before she rushed past her dad and up the stairs. I just laughed at John’s shocked expression, wondering how on Earth that all happened before him.
“Oh, Katie!” I quickly shouted.
“Yeah?” her head popped around the corner.
“How old is James?”
Her face dropped. She was still hiding something.“Um, he’s...he’s seventeen.”
“Excuse me?”
“He just turned seventeen! Got to go and do as you asked me!”
Right, that wasn’t the answer I was expecting. I slowly turned to face John, who had an extremely angry expression on his face.
“Seventeen?” he scowled.
“Yeah, I’m not happy about that either. But let’s give him a chance.”
“He’s fucking seventeen! He’s taking advantage of a fourteen year old!”
“Darling, calm down. Please, let’s see what he’s like. Not everyone was like you at seventeen.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“They weren’t all as charming as you.” I quickly saved, though he knew what I meant.“If he’s a little shit, we can stop her from seeing him.”
“Or stop him from seeing her.”
“John, do not traumatize that boy.”
“No promises.”
John had not been in a great mood for the rest of the week. He was constantly fussing over Katie, questioning her left, right and centre about anything he could think of. She was getting frustrated, she couldn’t even pop out to buy us bread without John asking if she had seen James on the way. I tried to stop him, but he was so persistent. He was only being like this because he wanted to protect his little girl, he knew what boys were like at that age. I was worried about the age gap. It wasn’t much, but Katie was still so young, only just becoming a teenager, whereas this boy was a year away from being an adult. I only hoped he would prove us wrong at this dinner.
We had scheduled the dinner for the following week, and the day was already upon us. Katie and I had been preparing a meal all day, feeding the kids before us so they wouldn’t act up or take my attention away. Katie was dressed in her best dress, hair pinned back with a nervous smile on her face. However, John was no where to be seen. He had been gone all day, he was at work, but I hoped he hadn’t been snatched away for Blinder business. Katie stressed over this, sitting by the window on the lookout for him.
“He’s here!” Katie announced, dashing through to the kitchen.
“Your dad?” I asked, wiping my hands on my apron.
“No, James! Why does dad always have to ruin everything?!”
“Hey, look at me,” I grabbed her by the shoulders,“it will all be fine. Let him him, we will start talking and just excuse your dad. He will be here Katie.”
I pushed her towards the door, taking off my apron and making sure everything was in order; when really, I was stopping myself from rushing out and bombarding the boy.
“Mum,” Katie called me, and I stepped out of the kitchen,“this is James. James, this is my mum.”
“Pleasure to meet you Mrs Shelby.” he politely took my hand, and I thought he was going to shake it, but instead kissed it, keeping eye contact for a little too long.
“You too James.” I smiled, wondering if he was just trying to make a good impression.“Katie’s dad isn’t home from work yet, but we can sit in the front room whilst we wait.”
We engaged in small talk, me asking about his life and if he had a job. He was a good speaker, no stuttering or wondering what to say next. So far, so good. Katie hung onto to his every word, it was a wonder her cheeks weren’t hurting from smiling so much. However, some things James said were a little...I didn’t know how to put it, but the way he spoke was as if he was wooing me, he would sometimes wink, or make a suggestive joke, which would fly over Katie’s head. I was starting to side with John, this young boy made me uncomfortable.
Another hour passed, still no sign of John, and if we didn’t eat soon, the food would burn. I tried waiting for a little longer, but I could tell Katie was starting to worry again. So I suggested we start eating without him, not having to explain why John was late. James would have to be an idiot to not know who her father was. We had only been eating for ten minutes when the back door opened, John walking into the kitchen as he took off his Peaky cap.
“Couldn’t wait for me then?” John said, no humour in his voice.
“It’s nice to meet you Mr Shelby.” James stood respectfully, ready to shake John’s hand, but he didn’t take it. I wanted to scold him for that.
James hesitantly sat back down. John took off his coat, hanging it on the back of the door, making a show of unbuckling his jacket, which revealed his guns in the holster. I rolled my eyes, this boy was only seventeen, and not one his enemies. He sat down beside me, which happened to be opposite James, a stupid mistake I should have seen coming.
“What have I missed?” John asked as he tucked into his food.
“I’ve been getting to know James, so he’s probably going to have to repeat everything again to you.” I joked.
“Go on then.”
Silence.
“Go on, tell me what you told my wife.”
"Dad." Katie hissed.
"It's alright Katie." James placed his hand over hers, and I caught the sight of John tensing up, nostrils flaring."I was just explaining how I'm working now, earning quite a bit actually. Finished school too, so I'm not an idiot."
"My brother, Katie's uncle, didn't finish school. You calling him an idiot?" John leaned back in his chair.
"N-no, Mr Shelby. I just meant that-"
"You just meant to keep your mouth shut."
"John, a word."
I stood up from my chair, walking towards the door and waiting for John there. He stared at James as he slowly got up, reluctantly following. I shut the door after us, shoving John towards the front room.
"Whats wrong with you?" I snapped.
"Why did we leave them alone?" he realised."Make it quick, he could be doing anything to her in there."
"Oh my god, John. They're teenagers but they're not stupid. Could you just give him a chance? Please?"
He huffed."I don't trust him."
"Of course you don't. He's the first boy Katie has brought home. She might end up bringing more-"
"No. No she won't."
"John, can you just relax? If we get through this dinner quick enough, he'll be gone."
"Let's just get back in there."
I moaned to myself, quickly going after him. We sat back down, Katie and James had been silent when we walked in. I cleared my throat as the silence continued, starting to ear again and hoping the others would copy. Luckily they did, we were able to make small talk, though John didn't participate.
Once we were done, I collected the plates with Katie, telling her she didn't have to help with the washing up. I thought she would be able to spend time with James (and keep her father away from the poor boy), however, James offered to help me instead. At first I was about to tell him that it was nonsense, until I saw John waiting by the front room, his eyes still set on James as Katie tried to drag him away.
“I’m sorry about my husband. He’s very...protective of his children.” I said as I passed him a plate to dry.
“I understand Mrs Shelby. He’s got a beautiful family to look after.”
“Aw, that’s very sweet of you to say.”
“A very beautiful family.”
I didn’t like the way he was looking at me. The comment before was lovely, but now he seemed to be suggesting something. Being almost an adult, he was the same height as me, if not slightly taller, and I wasn’t sure how to continue the conversation.
“I could instantly tell where Katie got her looks from, though I must say, the original is always better than the copy.”
Who did this little shit think he was?
“Honestly James, you don’t have to be stuck drying the dishes. Go spend time with Katie.”
“I’m quite enjoying myself here, actually.”
This was weird. At first, I thought maybe he was being over friendly, knowing that his girlfriend was a Shelby and her father was a Peaky Blinder; or perhaps he had some alcohol to fuel his confidence. But now I could sense he was here for something else, as if he ever had a chance.
“Oh, this one is still a bit dirty.” he pointed out.
He walked behind me to place it on the other side of the sink to be cleaned again, however, he pushed his body into mine behind me, and I froze at the action out of shock. His breath was fanning on my breath as he slowly placed the plate down, hand sliding up my arm to my elbow, before tracing across my lower back as he moved away again. I dropped the plate I was washing into the sink, picking up a knife beside me and pointing it at him.
“What the fuck do you think you’re doing?!” I snapped under my breath. It pissed me off that he didn’t look bothered by my threat.
“Just appreciating what’s in front of me.” he cockily replied.
“You have no respect for anyone, do you? I want you out of my house, now.”
“And break Katie’s little heart? Don’t think she would be too pleased by that.”
“She’ll be happy to know I got rid of a pervert. You;re never to go near her again.”
“You sound like your husband. Katie has been complaining about you two for weeks. She’ll only listen to me, and I’ll deny whatever you tell her. And how would your husband feel knowing we had this moment?”
“He’ll want to cut your balls off.”
“You know, I wasn’t sure if I was absolutely into you when I walked in. You’re beautiful of course, but the foul language...I don’t know, something about it is quite exciting.”
I chucked the knife into the sink, storming past the bastard and out of the kitchen, until I noticed the door was slightly open. I hadn’t left it like that. Continuing on, I took a big, deep breath before walking into the front room. John (unsurprisingly) had a glass of whiskey in hand as he sat in his chair, Katie sitting on the longer sofa, seeming upset.
“You saw, didn’t you?” I asked her.
She nodded, her eyes glued on the floor, they were glassed over.
“Did he touch you?” John snarled.
I sighed.“He...he did but-”
“That’s all I need to hear.”
He put down his drink, making a beeline for the kitchen. I stood in the doorway of the front room, shielding Katie from what was about to happen. James yelled out in protest as John roughly dragged him out of the house. I watched as he literally threw the boy outside onto the street, people wanting to watch but also not wanting to be involved.
“You stay the fuck away from my family. You’re lucky I don’t cut you, or do something worse. Watch your fucking back boy.”
Although I enjoyed the fear in James’ eyes, I wish he had the same look when I dealt with him. John slammed the door, causing the pictures on the wall to shake. Katie ran upstairs, upset that the boy she liked wasn’t as respectful or lovely as she thought he was. I decided to leave her for the time being, everyone needed to calm down.
“Are you alright?” John asked me, still breathing heavy.
“Yes, thank you for getting rid of him.” I sighed, wrapping my arms around him.
He embraced me, trying to calm himself down.“I love you. I won’t ever let anyone else touch you like that again.”
“I know you won’t. I’m sorry I didn’t listen before.”
“Nah, I was being over protective. He just turned out to be a twat.”
“But he’s gone now. And he won’t go near Katie again. Just know, she might be crying for a few days.”
“I’ll let you deal with that.”
Time for Change – Part Four
Pairing: Cillian Murphy x Reader
Warning: Smut
Words: 1,888
Notes: Not based on Cillian’s life. This is fiction guys!
Tumblr media
YOUR POV
It has been just over a week since you saw Cillian last and not one night went by during which you didn’t think about him and the incredible sex you had with him.
Whilst you had agreed that this was a going to be a one-night stand, you couldn’t help but fantasise about him over and over again.
Even when you were lying next to James who, two days ago, had returned from New York, you were thinking about Cillian’s body on top of yours and all the naughty things that he would do to you.
You wanted him, more than as a friend or casual lover. But you knew that, this was never going to be possible.
As far as James was concerned, you didn’t address his infidelity yet. You needed more proof and you desperately needed to see a lawyer to ensure that James couldn’t take Chloe away.
James and Chloe were both US citizens, but you were not and Chloe did not hold an Irish passport. You applied for one, but the Department of Immigration was taking a long time to process through the adoption papers. Chloe was adopted by you both when you lived in the US and Ireland was slow in recognising it. This meant that you were stuck with him for now if you wanted to remain in Ireland.
With that being the case, you ran into the problem of James wanting more from you than what you were willing to give. You knew that he was fucking at least one other woman and, therefore, you had no intention of being intimate with him. It disgusted you.
In the same vein, you had slept with another man, a man who was still on your mind and who had satisfied you more than James ever could, raising the stakes quite significantly.
You kept making excuses, telling him that you weren’t feeling well, had a stressful day or a headache. You hoped that, eventually, he would find someone else, perhaps even someone at his place of work.
CILLIAN’S POV
As for Cillian, he also had not spoken to Danielle about his intention to divorce. He struggled with the idea and the fact that he wouldn’t see his children every day if they separated.
Danielle had threatened to withhold the children many times over the past few years after endless allegations of affairs, none of which were true. She told him that, due to his line of work, she would seek full custody and he knew that she was likely going to be successful if he wasn’t home for several months at the time.
Her behaviour was relentless, even to the point where one of his old personal assistants had resigned due to her constant allegations.
Then, a year later, she went so far and shared her allegations and concerns with Cillian’s mother, causing Cillian to leave her for several months, which is when she made her threats real and withheld contact to his children until he came back to her.
In addition, his agent had advised him against moving forward with the separation until the next season of Peaky Blinders is released. In his mine, with nothing else being available for his followers to get their hands on, his separation would likely be dragged through the mud by the papers, making it more difficult for his career.
Cillian liked to stay out of the media as much as he could but, depending on where Danielle was to take this, this might not be possible and he started to weigh up his options.
Yet, he felt the same about the night you had shared. The images of you in bed with him drove him crazy and, whilst him and Danielle no longer were intimate, he felt guilty for sneaking into the bathroom almost every single night to masturbate with you on his mind.
Making a Date
To his surprise, at 8 o’clock on Thursday night, he received a text message from you, asking him whether he wanted to meet up with you and, of course, he did.
He was reluctant at first, knowing what was at stake and not knowing how far things would go when you met up again.
He didn’t know what your intentions were and why you wanted to meet but, when you responded to his text message by asking whether you should get a hotel room, it became pretty clear to him that you were after intimacy.
Cillian was torn about it. It was cliché, that’s for sure. It even reminded him on a movie he had starred in a few years ago. But, the thought of being alone with you in a hotel room drove him crazy and his reasonable thought process came to a standstill.
‘Alright. Let’s meet at the Westin 5 o’clock tomorrow afternoon. I will book a room’ Cillian typed, before deleting it and then retyping it all again. He knew it was wrong, no matter how bad things were between him and Danielle.
Eventually, he decided to send it and you were quick to respond, agreeing to his proposed time and location.
The following day, you told James that you were meeting up with friends in town and might stay over at Emily’s house.
Cillian did the same and told Danielle that he was going out in Temple Bar with some of his friends and, whilst James didn’t mind and bought your excuse, Danielle was frustrated with Cillian for leaving her with the kids.
‘You better don’t come home drunk Cillian’ she growled angrily, causing Cillian to roll his eyes.
‘If I have too much, I will crash on my brother’s lounge’ he then responded, causing Danielle to huff and swear.
‘Seriously Danielle? You disappeared for a fucking week and you have a problem with me going out for one night?’ Cillian said, shaking his head before he slammed the door behind him.
The Hotel
‘Room 307. I left a key at reception’ Cillian texted as you were sitting in the back of the taxi.
‘Can’t wait to see you. I didn’t bother wearing panties. I hope that is okay’ you texted back, teasing Cillian.
‘Good call. They would just have come off within minutes of you walking through the door’ he responded.
The texting went back and forth making you more and more excited. With each chime of your phone your pussy throbbed more and your ten-minute drive felt like it took forever and the short walk up to the hotel room was torture.
Your clit was so aroused that even the motion of your legs as you walked teased your pussy and made you just crave Cillian’s touch even more.
When you knocked on the door Cillian answered very quickly. He was wearing only a towel on his hips and you could see his freckle covered chest and the tops of his hips.
Quickly you entered and turned and locked the door behind you. You grabbed Cillian and kissed him passionately. As you did, moans escaped your mouth and you could feel Cillian's already hard cock press against you as his towel fell to the floor.
‘Fuck’ Cillian groaned as he saw you and, in one quick motion, he ripped your dress to the floor, kneeling in front of you as you stepped out of it. Without losing any time and before you could even have said hello to each other, Cillian pressed his face against your deliciously wet pussy and began to make circles around your clit with his tongue. He then slid one finger inside you and left it still.
‘Oh, fuck Cillian, please’ you begged as you craved more and moved your hip so that his finger teased you gently. Cillian then added a second finger and he curved them upward just slightly so that the tip of his fingers stroked your g-spot.
‘Oh god yes’ you moaned, wanting even more. Your body began to shake and your legs began to weaken as you grew close to orgasm.
You leaned your back against the door to prevent yourself from crumbling to the floor. Cillian then began to suck on your clit and as he did you screamed out. Your legs shook and you had to grab a hold of the door handle to prevent yourself from falling to the ground.
‘Oh my god, I'm cumming’ you screamed with passion and lust in your voice.
Cillian kept teasing your pussy after waves of pleasure rolled through your body. You gained control of your balance again and became steady on your legs. You then grabbed Cillian by the shoulders and pulled him up to kiss him, tasting your juices on his lips and tongue.
‘Well, it’s good to see you’ he finally grinned as your lips drifted apart.
‘Now this Mr Murphy, was a nice welcome’ you said before kissing him again passionately.
‘Now it’s my turn’ you then said as you pushed him back towards a chair in the corner of the room and made him sit down.
Within seconds, you pushed his legs apart and went down on your knees in between them and took his cock in your mouth.
‘Fuck Y/N’ Cillian groaned as, first, you just lightly sucked on the tip of his cock, flicking your tongue on the tip.
This was something Danielle hadn’t done to him in a very long time and it didn’t take long for another small growl to come out to the back of Cillian's throat.
With this encouragement you took his entire cock into your mouth devouring all seven inches of his amazing cock. You deepthroated his cock starting off slowly and as you got quicker Cillian pulled your hair encouraging you to go faster and faster on his cock.
‘Jesus Y/N’ Cillian groaned as you tilted your head back to catch your breath and stood up.
After you gave Cillian another passionate kiss, you climbed on top of his lap, facing him and allowing him to play with and suck on your breasts while you lowered yourself onto his cock with a loud moan.
You rode his cock slowly at first and worked up to speed, panting as your clit rubbed against his hips. You could feel your pleasure building inside you as you could feel yourself becoming ready to orgasm again. Cillian continued to play with your hard nipples until finally he slipped his hand between your legs and rubbed your clit in a circular motion. This sent you over the edge and you started cumming again.
‘Fuck, Y/N, that’s it’ Cillian groaned as your walls contracted around his hard cock, milking him and sending him over the edge as well.
You came in sync and could feel Cillian filling you with his warm cum, coating your walls and cervix as you rode out your orgasms.
‘That was amazing’ you huffed out eventually and Cillian kissed you again passionately.
‘I fucking needed this’ he chuckled after your lips drifted apart.
‘Me too’ you giggled. ‘So, are we going to make use of this amazing spa tub?’ you then asked as you slowly lifted yourself off Cillian, causing a large amount of his cum to leak out of you and onto Cillian’s lap.
‘I would say let’s have a bath, then order some room service and then have some more sex’ Cillian suggested.
Unexpected Part 2 - R.L
Masterlist, Requesting Rules, Writing Prompt Masterlist
Remus Lupin (Marauders Era) x Fem Reader
Unexpected Part 2, please read Part 1 if you haven't already.
About: Lupin finds out he's about to be a father, but he isn't happy about it, in fact, he's terrified, believing that someone like him could never be a good father.
A/N: Thank you for all the love on Part 1 - I know this second part has been long-awaited, thank you for all the love, support and reading Part 1!
Warnings: Swearing, mention of abortion.
"The baby I'm carrying" you choked "it's yours."
Remus shook his head, appearing as if he had been stunned, disarmed during a duel "Mine? It can't be mine!"
"Well it is, Remus!" you argued, your throat sore and burning "You're the only person I've slept with!"
Remus swallowed hard, still shaking his head and rubbing the back of his head with his hand that was covered in marks, he thought back to the last night you had spent together, how he was quick to finish and banish you away from the bedroom, then ignoring you for weeks until now.
Sirius stared at his best friend, unsure whether or not he would flip out, so he walked closer to you, pushing himself in front to protect you  - but Lupin wasn't violent, he got angry and could be very harsh when upset or annoyed, but he couldn't even lay a finger on you, no matter how angry he got, as long as the moon wasn't full.
"I understand if you're scared," you cried "believe me, I am too."
Remus couldn't stand this: the sight of you scared and crying, his best friend protecting you from him, the fact that his baby - a miniature monster would be growing inside of you, the same miniature monster that would have a poor excuse of a father. He wouldn't have this, he couldn't.
"If you're smart, like I know you are, you'll get rid of it." He snapped, not caring if he hurt your feelings.
"Please don't talk like that!" you raised your voice at him, walking closer to him, away from Sirius.
"No!" he yelled, his anger and insecurities getting the better of him "We shouldn't - we cannot continue like this, it was a mistake to let whatever we have to go on for this long, look where it's gotten us!"
"You don't get to piss off for a few weeks, ignore me, come back and force me into a decision I haven't made!" you yelled back, no longer caring who could hear you.
Sirius took hold of your hand, comforting you, debating whether or not if now was the time to challenge his best friend and talk him out of the hole he's digging.
"Why do you think I ignored you?" Remus yelled again "Get rid of it before you ruin its life and mine! Don't force this upon me!"
"Mooney, calm down, stop yelling at her alright?" Sirius interrupted James and Lily not far behind now, breaking into a sprint.
"You of all people have no right to get involved!" Remus pointed at him, glaring.
"What's happened to you?" you croaked "How could you be this cold?"
Your hot tears rolled down your red cheeks, you stared into his eyes - how could this be the same Remus your heart skipped beats over? How something that came from an accident gets him so angry? How could he accuse you of sleeping with his best friend?
Remus stared back into your eyes, he looked upset, frustrated, but after a while, he looked at the floor, he couldn't look you in the face because you were right. How could he disappear like nothing happened that night? How could he ignore you, but be in the company of his best friends? You considered yourself worthy of that title long ago.
James and Lily finally caught up, out of breath, concerned, and confused about what was unfolding in front of them. Lily approached you and stood by your side, wrapping her arm around you, trying to ask you what was going on - you shook your head and cried into her arms whilst James separated Sirius and Remus.
"Mooney! Padfoot! What the hell is going on?!" He hissed, looking between the two of them.
Remus shook his head, your words affecting him more than you had meant - his eyes were glassy and his lips were trembling. "There's nothing else to say, Prongs." he shrugged, turning around and walking away.
Sirius tried to go after him, but you and James grabbed him, keeping him in line so he didn't get into any more trouble.
Sitting in the empty common room in front of the large and warm fire, you and Lily cuddled up together, her hands stroking your arm for comfort.
"I can't imagine how scary this is for you, Y/N," she said softly.
You shrugged "It's less scary knowing I have you and the others, but I can't understand how he got so angry so fast." you sighed "he accused me of sleeping with Sirius!"
Lily was no stranger when it came to Mooney, Padfoot, and Prongs. For a long time, Lily couldn't stand James and she frequently turned him down and insulted him until you encouraged her to see through his ego and give him a chance. With James constantly drooling over her to Sirius, he knew who she was too and he often tried to get her to talk to James, but even he couldn't play matchmaker quite well as you.
Unknown to you, Lily and Remus were good friends - not best friends - but she knew things about him that even you didn't know, she got to find out his insecurities, she helped him as the full moon lingered around the corner, she saw the vulnerable side to him that you didn't - Remus trusted her on that level; it would crush you knowing that the lad you frequently slept with trusted another girl more than you, with his deepest and darkest secrets.
Lily pursed her lips and frowned, the orange glow from the fire complimenting her hair and eyes.
"He's going through a lot." she sighed, pushing some hairs out of her face.
James and Sirius watched the two of you from afar, talking to one another.
"What do you think she'll do?" James asked.
Sirius shrugged "I don't know," he said sadly "But she can't go through this alone."
"That doesn't give him the excuse to treat me like that!" you cried, pulling away from Lily.
"I never said that it does," she said calmly "he's just going through things you wouldn't understand."
Sirius and James exchanged looks, both of them confused about Lily's knowledge - like you, the both of them were unaware of the friendship between Lily and Remus.
"And you do?!" You huffed, glaring at her.
"Y/N, please don't turn this into something it isn't-"
You shook your head and scrambled off the sofa, how could you keep it? You had only just found out and everything that had come with it was already too much to handle.
You felt sick, furious, hurt, broken, you were stupid enough to continue being involved with someone who got so jealous, who fucked his feelings out and got you knocked up. You didn't want to be around anyone but Sirius, he always knew how to help, how to cheer you up and keep you level headed.
Storming past Lily, you grabbed hold of Padfoot's hand and dragged him through the portrait hole.
"Where are we going?" he asked quietly, trying not to get caught.
You shrugged, more tears streaming down your face "I don't know, for a walk, anywhere but here."
I vote leo meeting the harvard team! 💕
So this fic has been a bit of a mare to write, but we are here!
You can read the first part of this here
Rating: T
CW: Alcohol, academic superiority complex and coming out.
Logan, Finn, Leo, Percy, Will and the general Sweater Weather universe belongs to @lumosinlove. The other team members were made up by me for this fic.
“Okay, tell me their names again,” Leo said, tugging at the rolled neck of his sweater as he shut the car door.
“Nutty,” Finn laughed. “There’s not going to be a pop quiz. We’ll introduce you when we meet people.”
Leo scowled, letting Logan thread their fingers together. It was weird being able to do this in public still and Leo couldn’t help but glance around. “I just don’t want to make a fool of myself.” Logan squeezed his hand reassuringly, meeting Leo’s gaze with a soft smile.
“Nobody expects you to know anything. And everybody’s great.” Logan wrinkled his nose like he’d just smelt something bad. “Except Wesley, he’s an ass, but I’ll point him out.”
Like many of the others in Harvard square, the building was all exposed brick and white accents, blending in seamlessly with those around it. Inside was different, more modern. Leo didn’t get to see much of the first floor, the one dedicated to the restaurant Finn, Logan and the rest of the team had dined at previous evening, before he was ushered up a grand staircase, but he’d seen the photographs. The cherry blossom ceilings and walls of glass provided the perfect backdrop for the instagram feeds of the hoards of celebrities and influencers that flocked there. Hence his surprise when, after checking their invitations again, an employee pushed open a set of double doors to reveal a room that more resembled a 1920’s speakeasy than anything 21st century. A loud cheer went up as they crossed the threshold.
“Is this a team thing?” Leo mouthed at Logan.
He got his answer from Percy Marshall. Leo had met him a few times before when they’d played the Rangers. “You’re the last to arrive,” Percy chuckled. “I’d say I was surprised, but that would be a lie.” He slapped a hand playfully against Finn’s bicep. Is this outfit change number 52, Finn? Don’t worry, you didn’t disappoint. You look wonderful.”
“Fuck you, Marshy,” Finn laughed. “Tremz was on a call to his sisters actually.”
“Oh, I do apologise,” Percy clasped his hand to his chest. “We wouldn’t dare break up a Tremblay soiree.”
“You’re an ass,” Logan scoffed, plucking at Finn’s slacks. “I was only talking to them because Finn was taking so long. Did you know there are several shades of mustard and only one of them goes with this shirt?”
“Oh look, they argue like an old married couple too,” William Morgan, another of those Leo knew, and Percy’s teammate on the Rangers, teased. “Marshy, these hands are looking too empty. Get these men a drink.”
“Aye, aye, capt’n.” Leo set to follow as Percy led the way to the bar, stumbling slightly as he found Will’s firm grasp on his shoulder stopping his movement. Logan turned as his fingers slipped from his hand.
“Go ahead, Tremzy. I’m going to introduce Leo to some of the team. We want all the gossip without you two around to censor him.”
Logan frowned. “I’m not sure -”
“Relax, Logan. This isn’t a hazing. We’ll be right over there,” Will pointed towards a group perched on stools around two of the tables in the centre of the room, a mix of the old team and what Leo assumed were their partners. “Knut’s a big boy. He can object for himself if he really doesn’t want to come.”
“I’m sure I can hold my own,” Leo cocked his head slightly and smiled. “You better not leave Harzy with Percy for too long. They’ll be three shots down by now.”
The next few hours passed in a whirlwind of introductions. Leo had lost count of the number of hands he'd shaken and the new names he'd learned. It reminded him of those first few days in Gryffindor, being shuffled around from place to place and everybody telling him he'd get used to it.
The quiet of the bathroom was a welcome reprieve to the chaos. “Sweetheart,” Leo laughed, listening to Finn sing to himself in the stall. “Are you okay? You’ve been in there a while.”
“I’m coming, I’m coming.” A concerningly loud crash preceded the door being pushed open. “I’m here.”
“You’re drunk,” Leo chuckled.
Finn pulled his hands from under the stream of water, shaking droplets everywhere as he squeezed the tips of his thumb and forefinger together. “Maybe just the tiniest bit.”
Leo shook his head fondly. “Let’s go and find Lo.” Glancing back to check Finn was following him proved to be a mistake. “Shit, I’m sorry,” he apologised, rubbing at his forehead and stepping back from the wall of muscle he’d just crashed into. Of course, the tall man with his hair pulled back into a loose ponytail was the one person Leo hadn’t yet met.
“Leo, this is James. Call him Hunter,” Finn grinned with his hand resting in the small of Leo’s back. "Hunter, this is -"
"Leo Knut. I know. Everybody knows," Hunter said and Leo noted the familiar notes of his own accent in the words. He faltered with his hand thrust halfway in Leo's direction, letting it fall back by his side. "Oh fuck, sorry man. Did you want to introduce him as your boyfriend? Go ahead."
"It's cool, no worries." Finn shrugged, the rounds of his cheeks tinged with the slightest of blushes. "Aww, what the heck!" He squared his shoulders, standing a little taller, the corners of his mouth splitting with pride. "Hunter, this is Leo, my boyfriend."
Hunter extended his hand again for Leo to shake. “Nice to meet you. Please excuse me, I have to use the bathroom now, but we’ll talk later.”
***
"Boys." The call had come from behind them and Logan groaned low in his chest as they turned to acknowledge it.
"Wes! You made it," Finn smiled, the corners of his mouth tight. "We weren't sure you'd be able to. With all those big meetings you have to attend and such. Is your wife, Renee, wasn’t it, here? I'd love to meet her."
Something flickered in Wes' smug expression. "They stayed in California. Nate has a very busy schedule. Harvard is very important to me, as you know, so I came alone."
“Isn’t Nate three?” Logan blinked.
“You have to give them a good start if you want them to get them to get into a good college these days, I’m sure you understand. Where was it you went, Leo?"
Leo pursed his lips, letting the same calm wash over him that he channelled for interviews. “I didn’t go. I got drafted straight out of high school.”
“Oh, well, that’s a shame,” Wes said. “College isn’t for everybody though, is it?”
Logan bristled beside him, and Leo placed a placating hand on his shoulder. “Indeed,” he blinked. “I didn’t need my intelligence validated by a degree then, and I still don’t now. And I was hardly about to turn down an offer from The Gryffindor Lions now, was I?”
Wes grumbled something that sounded vaguely like an agreement before turning on his heel and walking off in a manner that Leo could only describe as petulant.
“You’re so hot,” Finn took Leo’s face between his hands and pressed a kiss to his lips. “I’m going to get a drink. Do you want another?”
“Please,” Leo nodded. Logan raised his still mostly full glass as a rejection of the offer.
“You should have let me punch him,” Logan huffed. “He would have deserved it.”
"And get blood on your shirt? Let’s leave that on the ice, shall we?” Leo tugged at the lapels of Logan’s jacket.
***
"So," Logan started as they claimed one of the low tables in the corner, a little tucked away from the rest of the room. "What do you think?"
"It's always nice seeing where you two started," Leo hummed, threading his fingers through the thin curls on the nape of Logan's neck. "I just don't know how you used to do this everyday. Live amongst all this energy. The guys all seem great, but it's a lot even now and I'm assuming you've all mellowed somewhat with age."
"I am not old," Logan scoffed. "Mais non, I agree. Wasn't always like this though. There's more than one graduating class here and we've been apart a long time. A lot of excitement."
"Sorry, sorry, I got caught up with Biscuit. He has triplets now, isn't that crazy?" Finn said, pressing a glass into Logan’s hand and setting Leo’s in front of him before flopping onto the couch opposite. "One Margarita for the fine sir."
"Thanks, Harzy," Leo laughed lightly.
"I can't believe him and Vanessa are still together," Logan hummed, taking a long sip of his drink. He leaned back, crossing his left leg over his right thigh and snaked his arm across the dark leather, brushing his fingers against Leo's shoulder. "I only introduced them because she was flirting with you at that party, the one just after we got back from winter break my junior year, and I wanted to distract her."
"Oh, so that's why you got all moody," Finn said. "She wasn't flirting, she needed help with an essay, idiot."
"The fact you remember Logan's mood on a night seven years ago says more about you than him," Leo snorted.
"First of all, Tremzy being grumpy? That's just a good guess. Second, some of us were still stupid at 20, Knutty." Finn sighed wistfully. "Hey, at least it doesn't feel like I'm being stabbed in the chest these days when I think about it. Progress, right?"
Logan tipped his glass in Finn's direction, nodding his head briefly. "I'll cheers to that."
"To -" Leo started, letting the toast die off as another of Finn and Logan's old team mates approached. He hoped the disappointment he felt wasn't written across his face; whilst he hadn't really expected to be left alone for too long, he had hoped for the brief respite to have lasted longer.
"Hey." The newcomer had his hand shoved into his pockets and his shoulders stooped, almost as if he was trying to hide himself. "I'm not interrupting anything, am I?"
"Ken!" Finn patted the empty seat next to him. "Of course not. Come, sit."
Leo extended his arm, offering his hand. "Nice to meet you. Ken was it? I'm Leo."
"Ken's what the team always called me. Don't really hear it much these days." Leo thought he saw something sad in the smile sent his way. "My real name is Obi."
"That's because you went off the radar," Logan gave a pointed look.
"About that -" Obi swiped Finn's drink, ignoring his disgruntled protest. He drained what was left of it, pulling at an non-existent loose thread on his sweater. "I wanted to say thank you, you know. For having the guts to come out. I know Black and Lupin were first, but that was forced wasn’t it. You made a choice. I know that must have been hard. It was one hell of a ballsy move."
Leo looked between Finn and Logan, expecting them to answer, but neither of them spoke. "We didn't have much of a choice, not if we didn't want to be watching our back every second of every day."
"It was still brave," Obi muttered. "I couldn't have done it."
"Ken, what are you saying?" Logan never did have much patience for others taking their time to get to the point, even though he was a fan of the scenic route himself.
"They gave you a whole Harvard degree and you need to ask that question?" Obi huffed a laugh. "I'm gay. I met Marco, my now husband at the end of senior year, and freaked out. I didn't know how to make these two worlds work, so I didn't. I moved to DC with him, and started a new life. I'm an accountant, he works in marketing. We have four rats, and a Vizsla called Poppy. It's all very domestic. I love it, but I was a coward.”
"You're not a coward. You don't owe that information to anybody, Ken. Not the others, not the media, not the NHL and not us. Not now, not then, not ever.” Finn took a breath, holding up his finger to signal he wasn’t finished. “Besides, it's not as if Lo and I planned this. We went into this with every intention of stuffing this deep, deep into the depths of denial, never for anybody to find out. Including ourselves. And then Nutty came along.”
Obi smiled at Leo, turning his attention back to Finn. "When did you become Gay Yoda?"
"I spend way too much time in our psych's office. Just spreading the wisdom. Heather would be proud."
"Do the others know?" Logan asked.
"Not yet, I think I'd like them to though."
Logan shifted, leaning forward in his seat. "There's no rush, Ken. We've got your back, whatever you decide."
"So, do you have photos?" Leo cocked his head. "We got to show off. Now it's your turn. Even if it's only for us."
"Of Marco?"
"I'm sure he's wonderful, but I was actually talking about Poppy. And the rats," Leo teased.
There were moments when Leo wondered whether they had made the right decision. When he was playing in front of hostile crowds, or fending off stupid media questions, or blocking bigots on twitter. And then there were moments when he knew the decision they had made was 100% perfect. Right now, that was one of those moments.
“Thank you.”
You smiled to the delivery boy as you showed him where to place the fragile artefacts the museum had just received. It was your job to evaluate whether they were of any value, and if so, whether it was more prudent for them to be sold to someone else or put on display for people to visit.
The moment you were left alone, you’d opened the smallest box in order to determine where these artefacts were from, more specifically, when. You picked up, what appeared to be, a device of some sorts, fit with several random gears. Evaluating the rust and corrosion, you noted on your clipboard that this may have been a Cypriot artefact from the early Bronze Age.
As you made your way through the other boxes, you were about a quarter of the way through when you noticed that all of these antiquities appeared to originate from the Mediterranean. And you knew the perfect person to help explain more about their culture to you.
You gently placed the artefact you were currently examining back in its respective box, locked your office door and made your way to the senior anthropologist who was an expert on the culture.
Lifting a closed fist, you lightly knocked on the door and waited patiently for the door to open, smiling at the person who stood in the door frame when it did.
“Afternoon Miss Prince, are you free for a quick chat?”
You didn’t know Diana Prince all that well, having only interacted on a number of occasions but each time you had, she was incredibly kind and friendly. She had been at the museum longer than you had and was one of the first people to introduce themselves to you and make you feel welcome.
Honestly, there wasn’t much that you knew about her.
She was an enigma.
In the broadest of terms, that was.
By definition, an enigma is someone who is mysterious and difficult to understand.
Now, whilst the brunette was definitely mysterious, she was, by no means, difficult to understand.
One look in her eyes and you immediately saw her for all that she was.
She may not have said more than 5 words to you, but her eyes told you a story. Someone who had gone through immense hurt but remained kind and bright, even in the darkest of times.
Her eyes were beautiful, as was the rest of her. Though that did seem like an oversimplification. She was a goddess, as if sculpted by the Gods themselves - how true that was, you didn’t know yet - and despite that, she never seemed to let her beauty be her one overriding factor. She was extremely smart and intelligent and so much more. Which was why you enlisted her help.
“Of course. Please take a seat.” She said, smiling when you did. “So, how can I help you, Miss L/N?”
“Please, call me y/n. Miss L/N makes me sound like my mother.” You joked.
“Well, then please call me Diana.” She replied in her accent that you couldn’t quite distinguish.
You nodded, “So I’ve just recently come into possession of some ancient artefacts. As you know, I’m required to estimate their value and decide what the museum should do with them. However, it seems that the artefacts I’ve currently examined, all appear to be specific to Mediterranean culture. Now considering you’re our resident expert on that, I figured-”
“That I could come and help you determine it’s authenticity and explain more about them.” Diana finished.
“Exactly. But if you’re too busy, I compl-”
“No, it’s okay.” She interrupted quickly. Clearing her throat, she continued, “I’d be happy to help. I’m glad you came to me, y/n.”
Your lips curved in a smile as you fought to keep the blush that would have certainly risen to your cheeks.
“Shall we?” You asked, standing up, about to head back to your office.
“Lead the way.”
***
For the next month or so, you found yourself working quite closely with the anthropologist, the Smithsonian board having told you both that they wanted you to help create a display for the artefacts to be put on show for the community. Though that meant more work for you, you were secretly grateful because, truth be told, you found yourself developing feelings for the brunette. But you never said a word, knowing she wouldn’t feel the same about you.
You were working late one night, about to leave, before you noticed the light that was on in one of the hallways. Apart from you, you knew that the only person who’d ever stay this late at the museum was Diana. Her, seemingly more committed to her job than you once realised.
Knocking on the door, you waited until you heard a quiet “come in” before entering the office room.
Neatly placed around the room were several boxes, more than likely filled with paperwork and published papers. Her navy leather sofa sat at the far end of the room with a coat draped over one of the arm rests. In front of you, was Diana’s desk. It was as tidy as the rest of the room, papers orderly placed at the ends of the desk, a small lamp placed at the corner and a computer which Diana had been typing on.
Her face softened into a smile when she saw you and she sat up against her chair.
“Hey, y/n. What’s up?”
“Not much. I was just about to head home but since I saw your light on, I figured I’d come by and say goodnight.”
“That’s sweet. Since you’re here, why don’t I walk you out? I was planning on going home myself.”
“Sounds good.”
She grabbed her coat from the sofa and put it on. After locking her door, she walked beside you towards the entrance of the museum.
“You know, it’s a beautiful night and it’s not that late either, why don’t we get dinner?”
You stopped in your path for a brief moment before continuing to walk.
She was asking you to dinner.
Holy shit.
You knew it wasn’t a date since you had had several dinners together whilst working at the artefacts.
But the idea that it could have been still excited you.
And terrified you.
“Yeah, I’d love to.”
You had eaten at this cute restaurant, sitting outdoors so you could both bask in the stars. You’d fallen into easy conversation with the brunette, never experiencing any awkwardness or uncomfortable silences. You talked about nothing and everything; every time you made her laugh, you couldn’t help but smile yourself because her laughter was genuine and brought warmth to you.
“I’ve enjoyed tonight, Diana.”
“Me too. I know you don’t get out much so I figured you deserved a break.”
“Hey! What do you mean ‘I don’t get out much’?” You said, feigning being offended while truthfully, you were failing to hide a laugh.
“I’m not judging. Just...making an observation.” Diana laughed.
“Hmm sure. Well, how about you? Are you out often?”
“No, not really.”
“Wow. Now look who’s not a social butterfly.” You joked.
“Yep, we’re just two peas in a pod, huh y/n?” Diana said, smirking when she saw a light blush of red on your cheeks.
***
After that night, you found yourself regularly going out to dinner with Diana and it was getting harder to hide how you felt.
Sometimes, you had a sliver of hope that she felt the same way because she would make excuses to touch you, whether it be gently brushing her hand against yours or stroking her hand against your arm.
But you immediately quelled those thoughts. There was no way someone as beautiful, sweet and smart as Diana would like you.
Shaking your head, as if to rid the thoughts from your mind once more, you walked through the alley that was a shortcut to your apartment.
Abruptly, you felt yourself pushed up against the brick wall, a knife against your throat. You fought the urge to scream, knowing any movement with the sharp blade that close to you would certainly result in bleeding.
“Good girl. Be quiet and don’t scream. Otherwise the next piece of trash left in this alley will be you.”
The moon allowed for you to get a better look at the man holding himself against you. You only saw his face, however, his mouth curved into a creepy smile, reminiscent of Dr Seuss’ The Grinch.
“You are a pretty one, aren’t you?” Even his voice felt slimy, bringing a look of disgust on your face.
“Fuck off.” You said, showing no fear. Oddly, you found yourself feeling calm. Some people may fight and others may flee. But of course, you taunt and curse.
“Oh, you’re going to be fun.”
You readied yourself for anything that may happen, waiting for the opportunity where the blade’s pressure would lighten, allowing you to kick this guy and run away.
But before you could, you felt all pressure against you immediately leave. Looking up, you caught a glimpse of a woman in armour pulling the man off you with, what appeared to be, a glowing yellow rope. The man still held within the rope, she jumped up on the roof and disappeared.
But not before the moonlight had provided some clarity as to who this mysterious figure was.
It was her eyes.
You had difficulty sleeping that night. It was not the attempted assault that had kept you up though, it was the woman who had saved you. You recognised her eyes but the more you thought about it, the more perplexed you became. There was no way Diana was whoever this woman was. But it was her eyes.
This back and forth continued til sunrise when you finally decided to push it from your mind. Yes, her eyes may have been familiar but you hadn’t seen her face nor heard her voice. And if, and when you did, you would then make an assumption as to who she was.
***
“Morning, y/n.”
You looked up to see Diana standing outside your office door, dressed in a simple pantsuit that she somehow made look glamorous.
“Morning, Diana.”
“How are you? Are you okay?”
You carefully noted the thinly veiled concern in her tone before answering.
“Yeah, of course. Why wouldn’t I be?” You asked, brow raised in question.
“No reason. Just wondering.” She cleared her throat. “I’ve just been finalising some things for the display tonight.”
Time had flown by and you were disheartened when you realised it meant the two of you wouldn’t be seeing each other as often; the two of you would go back to your own lives and separate work.
“Y/N?”
You blinked, having been broken from your thoughts when you saw real concern on her face.
“Yeah?”
“You went a bit dazed there for a moment. Are you sure you’re okay?” Her head tilted in question, her hand lifting to gently caress your arm.
“Yeah, sorry. Come on, let’s finish off this display.”
You had trouble focusing whilst you worked, eyes constantly glancing over at Diana, your mind wondering. You knew that even if she was who you thought she was, it had no effect on how you felt about her. She was still the same Diana that you knew.
Just...more badass than you’d first thought.
The two of you left the museum early evening so you could get ready for the gala the Smithsonian was putting on to show off their new Mediterranean display.
Whilst you had put quite a few antiques up for sale to various buyers and other museums, the large majority of them you had advised the board to keep; explaining how, in the long run, it’d prove more valuable.
You got dressed in a black dress that was hemmed below your knees, a low but classy ‘v’ cut shaped plunged neckline to reveal a small diamond necklace that matched with your earrings. You rarely wore makeup but tonight was an exception so your lips were painted a deep red that complemented your tanned skin and your hair was left free, light curls bouncing against your back.
Once you had arrived back at the Smithsonian, you made your way to your boss and the rest of the board who complimented yours and Diana’s work.
You looked around, wondering where the latter was.
As if summoned by sheer thought alone, Diana appeared beside you; her appearance leaving your throat dry. She was dressed in a long navy dress, a long slit in the side showing off her toned legs. She wore a gold bracelet around her wrist, her lips painted bright red, her curly hair surrounding her face.
“You look stunning, Diana.”
“Thank you. You look beautiful too.” Her smile reaching her eyes.
The next couple of hours were spent rotating around the guests and several investors who commended the both of you on your work whilst simultaneously making sizeable donations to the museum.
Truth be told, you hated this part of the gala. You believed that people should appreciate the art rather than wanting to line up their own pockets. It was the main reason you often avoided company events such as these but since tonight was something you’d organised, you needed to be there.
You were currently speaking with an older male whom you knew was an avid investor. Diana had been pulled aside by another investor who wanted to know more about a certain piece of art.
As you engaged in a polite conversation with the man, you felt a shift in his tone as he became more untoward with you. His words were slurring slightly, having consumed several glasses of champagne, and he starting to make inappropriate advances by grabbing your hand or saying wildly unprofessional things.
“Mr Woodbury, I appreciate your interest in me but I do not feel the same way and I’d appreciate it if you could stop with the advances.” You explained as politely as you could when, in reality, you were trying to hide your anger.
“Darling, you’re a pretty little thing and I could give you the night of your life.” He leered at you, leaning closer towards you.
A strong hand pushed him back, “she said ‘no’”
There was no need to even face the person enunciating each word; you knew exactly who that voice belonged to.
“Miss Prince, we’re having a private conversation.”
Diana stood beside you, her body turned so she faced the both of you.
“I suggest you leave before I have you removed from the building. And if you ever bother y/n again, I promise you, you will regret it. And a promise is unbreakable.”
The male withered under her stare and slithered away from view. You glanced up at Diana, who towered over you, even more so in her heels, and saw the controlled fury in her eyes.
The way the light of the room shone on her face and illuminated her eyes forced yourself in the memory of the night of your attempted assault.
The realisation hit you like a train.
This was the confirmation that you needed.
It was her.
“Y/N?”
You stared into her eyes, unable to tear yourself from her.
“Y/N?” Diana repeated, resting her hand against your cheek. The warmth of her skin against yours brought you back to reality.
“Y-You. I-”
You stumbled over your words, unable to string any words together to form a coherent sentence.
“Come with me.”
Not waiting for a response, Diana took your hand in hers and led you back to her office. She closed the door, locking it behind her and switching on her lamp so the room wasn’t completely dark.
You stood in front of her, still unsure of what to say.
“Y/N, you’ve been acting weird all day. What’s wrong?” She asked, her concern evident in her tone.
“You’re her.”
“I’m sorry?”
“Her. The one who saved me last night.”
You watched as Diana’s eyes flickered with panic. It was only for a brief moment and you wouldn’t have caught it if you weren’t looking.
Her mouth opened as if ready to disprove any of your thoughts before closing it again when she saw the look on your face.
“How did you know?” She sighed.
“Your eyes.”
“I’m sorry?” She repeated.
“Your eyes. They were the same. Since the moment I met you, the first thing I noticed were your eyes. The way they sparkled with kindness but I could still see the hurt behind it. They’re beautiful.” Your voice faltered as you finished speaking.
“Um, that was inappropriate. I shouldn’t have said that. I-I’ll go.”
As you were about to walk out of her office, she moved to block the door.
“Don’t go.” Her accent came out strong.
“Diana, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said that. Look, I appreciate you working with me these past couple of months. It’s been a great help. We can just forget this happened and just go back to our lives.” You suggested, walking back to the centre of the room.
“What if I don’t want to?”
Her words came out in a low whisper, the huskiness of her voice sending a shiver down your spine.
“W-what?” You swallowed dryly.
“I said, what if I don’t want to forget?” She repeated, walking closer to you whilst you unconsciously backed away slowly until stopping when your back hit her desk.
“I’ve loved spending time with you, y/n. You’ve become extremely important to me. And seeing that guy trying to hit on you earlier angered me because you’re not his. You’re mine.”
Your eyes widened. Though you’d never seen this side of Diana before, you were extremely turned on; a warmth spreading through you.
Diana continued, smiling at the noticeable effect she had on you.
“I know you feel the same way. I see the way you look at me and the way you blush when I catch you staring. You know me. The other me. You’re beautiful and I like you, y/n. A lot.”
You licked your lips and then lightly bit your bottom lip, once again speechless. Never in a million years did you think she’d like you back.
You decided words weren’t going to be enough and instead, you gathered your courage, the alcohol helping you in that respect, and closed the distance between you.
It was a light kiss, practically a peck, just to test the waters as they say but it still felt right.
You pulled away and leaned back against the desk. There was a look in her eye that you couldn’t quite distinguish but before you had any time to dwell on it, Diana instantly kissed you back, this time with more fervour.
She lifted you onto the desk as if you weighed nothing and with her strength, you probably didn’t. Her hands gripped the sides of your waist, steadying you, as you opened your legs wider so she could move between them.
Your arms wrapped around her neck pulling her deeper into you. She tugged your bottom lip between her teeth, not hard enough to make you wince but definitely enough to make you moan.
You felt her smirk against your lips as her hands moved upwards from bracketing your hips to the side of your breasts. She continued the motion before kissing you one final time and reluctantly pulled away.
Your breath came out in a pant, trying to get as much oxygen back into your lungs as possible.
“That was-”
“Amazing.” Diana finished.
You still sat atop of her desk, not having enough energy to move as of yet, and you were sure your legs wouldn’t be able to hold you up either after that heavy make out session.
Diana rested her hands against your waist once more before tucking a strand of hair behind your ear and cupping your cheek.
How she went from being so full of passion and heat to being so gentle and sweet, you’d never know. You had a feeling she was going to keep you on your toes.
“As much as I didn’t want to stop, we still have people to see. What do you say we talk to a few more guests and then we can go back to my place and finish what we started?”
Diana asked, stroking your cheek with her thumb as her eyes twinkled with mischief.
“I’m never going to figure you out, am I?” You said light-heartedly, as you came to your feet.
Diana held your hand in hers and walked to the door,
“I don’t know. I’d say you know me pretty well already.”
Sacrificial Bride Part 1//Twisted Wonderland X Reader//
Alright well, that's enough writing for the next few days if you excuse me I'm going to go sulk in my corner. Huge thanks to @softyswork who’s story about reader being sent to Malleus as a bride inspired this series. Also, I REALLY want to make some sort of modern-day Frankenstein it would be an amazing scientific breakthrough! You'll understand what I mean when you get to Idia's part lol.
It was a common rumor around your village that ever since the death of the sleeping princess your settlement had never been the same. For you, this was nothing more than a fairy tale meant to spark a scrap of hope in the hearts of naive, suffering children who were still too young to fully understand why their fathers never returned from their hunting trips or why there was barely anything to eat for dinner.
Every time you heard this dreaded tail, you couldn't help but scuff. For as long as you've been alive your town had been in utter disarray and chaos. Monsters from the woods -what the town's folk called "fae"- attacked the village daily. Stealing jewels, destroying homes, sometimes even swallowing children or sucking the blood of the dormant. There was also the looming threat of the green flames. Blazing emerald fires who couldn't be subdued by neither water nor dirt. They advanced further into the territory of the village by each full cycle of the moon. Leaving behind in their trail, thick impenetrable thorn bushes that had taken the homes of many and the lives of many more.
Awful, dreaded creatures those fae where...
But alas you did not yet know just how cruel they could be.
On another periodic morning, your younger sister jolted you awake, dragging you to the town center before you got a chance to change out of your nightgown.
In the center of the square was short man..no...not a man you noticed his pointed drawn back ears. "Fae" you gasped under your breath. But unlike the monstrous fairies that ravished your town taking on the appearances of trees and woodland creatures, this one resembled a boy of 15. The young-looking male began to speak, his voice was clear like crystals, and to his tone bats began to flock overhead. "Truly dreadful, these fairy folk are" your sister uttered in terror as she buried her face in your side.
"Heed my words, mortals. The young prince of thorns has decided to take a wife. By the setting of the sun a full day from today, two of his guards will come to collect your offering. If you chose to disregard this Wa-- friendly advice, then what is left of your town will be decimated before the end of summer. Your children eaten, wives imprisoned and husbands killed!" An unsteady hush rippled through the crowd. Some hothead youths began to throw rocks at the stranger only for the bats hovering above to shield him from the stones. Mothers hugged their children close begging for the man to "just leave".
"If" the man's voice rose once more like a cadaver emerging from the grave " my young master is pleased with your sacrifice than we shall reward you! Bring good health and prosperity to your otherwise sick and decaying village." His last words melted into the open air before he vanished in a cloud of squealing bats and ebony smoke.
The town's folk erupted in screeches, cursing at their deities while simultaneously praying to any god that would listen.
"Help us!"
"save us!"
"Don't let them take our daughters!"
The screams escalated to the point where you had to cover your ears with your shaking hands. Your eyes scanning each of the villager's faces, a pathetic lot they were, you thought to yourself. Scared by the words of a young magician. In a flash, your heart sped up, adrenaline pumping through your veins, as you marched to the center square where the boy had been mere moments ago. You stood tall, cupping your hands over your mouth.
"Listen well you disquiet, mindless lot!"
All eyes turned to you. Some holding looks of confusion, whilst others harbored glances of hope.
"This fae is lying! No way will they be satisfied with just one measly girl! No matter who we sacrifice to their so-called master, they'll still come after us! They'll still destroy our village! Let's not be stupid! Let's find a way to barricade the city instead of arguing over who to sacrifice!"
For an endless second all was quite. It was like the world had stopped turning, frozen in its place in the universe trying to decide what to do.
Then it happened,
Chants reverberating through the air
"Sacrifice her!" "Sacrifice her!"
"Sacrifice her!" "Sacrifice her!"
"Sacrifice her!"........................
WHAT!
NO!
DID THOSE MORONS NOT LISTEN TO A SINGLE WORD YOU SAID!
The crowd started advancing. Eyes locked on your figure like those of a leopard on its prey.  Their mouths were all a gap, chanting the words "sacrifice" over and over again. From behind the mob, your eyes locked with your sister's. You could practically feel the despair rolling off her figure as she covered her eyes and fell to her knees, her whole body rattling with a sort of distant rage...
A full day....it's funny how time passes all so quickly no matter what you do. Day in and day out nothing changes, pain is still pain, laughter is still laughter. Time just keeps slipping from between your fingers like sand. Even in the direst of times, Time doesn't show mercy, never once does it cease. It just ticks and ticks away until the inevitable moment arrives.
Your sister and aunt -the only two relatives that you hadn't lost to the fae- were in charge of preparing you for your so-called "wedding". Since your town was poor and isolated from other civilizations there wasn't much they could do to enhance your beauty. Smashing some berries to add color to your lips -and fervently ravishing the remains- using some coal to add shade behind your eyes, as well as around them and patting the dust of rose petals against your cheek. By the end, you hardly recognized the person staring back from the mirror. Sure the adjustments were minor but this was the most stunning you'd ever looked. "Is it almost time" your voice quivered, failing to hide the tears that began to fall. "Please don't cry sweetheart, we don't have any more coal to fix your eyes with." Your aunt's tone was monotone almost bordering on heartless. You couldn't really blame her, she'd gotten so used to having her loved ones plucked from her. One more would be no different. Sniffing as to keep the tears at bay, you nodded slowly. Your glossy eyes locked with your aunt's you could see the same fear and exhaustion in her fading irises as the night her son was slaughtered in front of her.
"Just a few reminders" your sister's voice was cheery like the chirping of early morning birds, but her face mimicked that of a kicked puppies. "Remember when the prince...fae...when he..you know...Oh, Lord please tell me he won't" She was shivering again. Her face twisted in horror. You knew what she was thinking, she was imagining you laying in the bed of that...that thing. She was imagining him entering you, kissing up and down your neck. Leaving patches of red skin over smooth flesh, bruises wherever his clawed hands touched you. She was imagining what was no doubt going to happen to you tonight...
the mere thought made bile rise to your throat.
"Darling, just keep saying how much you like it. It's all any man wants to hear." again your aunt or rather her lackluster form of speech was the rope binding you to your sanity.
"Do fae even have...those parts like humans do?" Your sister asked, only to be met with a glare from your aunt. "Stop wasting time on pointless questions! Hurry up and see if this dress fits your sister."
Sure enough, as you were escorted to where the thorn bushes met the village, two men, one standing tall and proud, whilst the other looked like he may topple over from fatigue at any moment, were awaiting you.
The green-haired man let out a haughty laugh, his blazing eyes scanning you from head to toe. "She's hardly worthy of the young master!" His dreadful voice was like the booming of thunder clouds. "It doesn't matter, Malleus-sama needs to be wedded off quickly so he can produce an heir. None of us are getting any younger by standing here debating the "worthiness" of yet another measly human" the silver-haired male's voice was the exact opposite of his comrades, his voice was soft and breathy like light drizzle after a storm.
The green-haired man looked ready to argue once more, but before he could open his mouth, his violet-eyed counterpart waved something thin in the air casing a pathway to open between the hedges.
It was dark between the brambles. The air was thick, stuffy, every breath was a struggle. Although it seemed neither of your traveling buddies minded the discomfort. Did fae even need air to survive?
After what could have been no less than a couple of hours, your small group made it to a large clearing where only a few rays of the sun leaked through the thick smoky clouds. Miss matched flowers in shades of grey littered the rocky barren ground. Maybe at some point, this place had been beautiful, stunning even...but whenever that time had been it was long gone now.
As you ventured farther into this monochrome land of loss and sorrow, the three of you approached a castle. It towered over everything else, grim in all its glory. "Young master Malleus is awaiting you inside..." The green-haired male's voice trailed off as his speech was interrupted by the deafening creaking of the doors parting open. Without another word the two men dragged you inside, pushing you through spiral staircases and long bleak passageways. Until you arrived at a lavish-looking room, a large throne sitting smugly in the front of the room. It's black, spiked appearance was enough to make you gasp in horror, you didn't desire to meet the monster that perched atop that throne. "Don't be so afraid." the silver-haired man whispers, his head is almost resting on your shoulder. "Malleus-sama is kind and fair. He is sure to love you better than any human ever could." you catch a hint of nostalgic sadness in the last part, like a long lost part of the lavender eyed boy's past caught in his throat like a glass shard.
Trumpets roared through the room blaring as two men, one short and fickle whilst the other tall and brooding walked in. "Malleus~" The short one sang as they both stopped in front of you "Say hello to your lovely new wife." the tall man's emerald eyes landed on you. His lips parted in a threatening smile...or maybe it was a smirk? He didn't seem to be too good at displaying emotions. Slowly he descended onto one knee, slipping your hand into his and kissing the top lightly.
"Hello, my darling little wife."
The After Glow Savanna was an absolute hell to be born in if your family did not belong to some royal inner court class. The endless days spent scavenging for scraps of food, walking miles for a simple glass of water, had become a sort of broken, habit beaten into the residents of the smaller less fortunate districts.
Eventually, you too would follow in your parent's footsteps, working odd jobs around the neighborhood, getting married to some guy, having kids, and giving them the same dreary life your parents had given you. It was simple -miserable- but simple never the less. In an odd way, you found a sort of comfort in how everything was set in stone. How you'd suffer through a few years then die of starvation or some disease in your husband's arms.
But little did you know that the only comfort you had in your horrible life was also going to be swiped from you.
When Ruggie, a dear childhood friend of yours returned from his prestigious school for the winter holidays you were overjoyed! A week with your best friend was the greatest gift you could ask for! But that excitement soon dulled when he announced to the neighborhood what the royal family had planned for the underdeveloped parts of the country.
"They want to demolish the homes and build parks and shopping strips instead"
The people of your tiny community gasped, shock and hopelessness mixing over their dirty, worn out faces. Some older siblings shielded the ears of their younger kin, some mothers hugged their children closer to their chests. "They can't do that to us!" Your voice was like a beacon through the thick fog of confusion. "We can't let them!" You turned to Ruggie who was seated next to you. His blue-grey eyes held a foreign sadness that you had never seen before. He was hiding something...something so grim that he was forced to shove it into the depths of his soul, locking it up and throwing away the key.
"There is a way..."
For such a hopeful phrase, Ruggie's tone harbored no happiness. You could practically see the tears that were clouding his beautiful eyes. "Tell us" someone from the crowd demanded, others soon joined in with their own chants. For a long moment, Ruggie said nothing, the shouts of despair falling on deaf ears.
"If.." his voice trailed off, as his gaze grew distant.
"If someone from the neighborhood were to marry the second prince..." Gasps of fear filled the air. Even the mere mention of the second prince's name was enough to send chills down people's spins.
"Then they could, as the newly appointed  princess, convince the royal family and counsel to scrap this monstrous plan." No one uttered another word. No one was brave enough to face the man who could destroy anything with a simple touch.
But the sake of these people, people who had nothing but their families and a muddy roof over their head was on the line.
Do something, a tiny voice in your head screamed, save them, it begged. You shifted your head so to get a glimpse of Ruggie's face. "I-" you began but were cut off before you could even finish.
"I know you would say that."
His voice broke over every syllable. He knew you would give up your depressing nostalgia for the sake of others. Life in the castle would be hell, being married to that monster would be something worst than the dwellings of the devil.
It was a speedy arrangement, so fast that your head didn't have time to process anything. In the end, it almost seemed like the royal family was desperate to find a spouse for their youngest son.
Just marry him! Was what all the absentee looks told you.
Early that morning, Ruggie had dragged you to the castle, all tears, and grumbles. The palace guards let him in with no restrain, it almost felt like he'd been here before. Your childhood friend led you to a room in the further corner of a grand hall. He told you to stay outside as he went in to chat with the prince. Moments later the newly appointed king and queen came to usher you into a privet room and discuss the marriage. Not an hour later your fate had been sealed, you'd be married off to prince Leona tomorrow at sunrise. For "historical purposes" your neighborhood would be preserved and even taken care of. 'Historical purposes' you thought 'more the like a bribe to get you to marry this beast.
that night you were dragged this way and that by the queen herself. Taken for fitting after fitting. Trying on hundreds of wedding dresses who's prices could feed every mouth in your neighborhood for months! "Leona isn't very classy" the queen sighed in disappear. "He would probably prefer you to be in something laxer, shorter if you will" the tailors ran around trying to find something that would fit her vague description, as you stood facing her royal highness.
"What's he like?" you asked soullessly
"Spoiled, although not as heartless as the rumors make him out to be"  She didn't seem to like giving straight answers
"will he harm me? It was an honest question, although the lack of thinking it took before the queen replied made your heart skipped a beat.
"Quite possibly, he is rather...aggressive at times. Just don't let his degrading comments get to you. He's not used to being around people"
The more she described the second-born prince the more it seemed she was actually speaking of some feral dog that had raised in isolation.
Oh, how doomed you were.
The wedding was even faster than the preparation. Ruggie walked you down an aisle of flowers, walking over the petals, killing them once and for all, ending their pointless existence. You stood by your self at the altar awaiting your husband to be. It took a rather long time before the doors were flung open and the king waltzed in carrying his struggling brother under his arm. "No need to worry, Leona was taking one of his catnaps again and forgot about today's events" the king announced, in what could only be described as a mock lively tone.
How on earth does someone forget their wedding! This prince really wasn't a typical human...heck you where beginning to think that the feral dog would have made a better groom.
snap, snap
A few magazine pictures here, a couple of family photos there...
Everything was so bright and loud...
right before you and the second prince were thrown into the darkness of his room. In the obscurity, you could ONLY make out the glowing of his emerald eyes.
You could feel him shifting closer, all the while you took shaking steps backwards. " I thought wives were supposed to leap into the arms of their husbands? Tell me little herbivore do I frighten you?"
Your voice refused to leave your throat, too afraid to come into contact with the prince.
"What's the matter? Did they not teach you to speak in on the streets you grew up on. Poor thing~"
Leona pounced across the room, tackling you to the ground. His sheer weight pinning you to the carpeted floor. The sound of fabric tearing echoed through the silence.
How careless these royal were was the only intelligible thought that came to your frenzied brain.
Goosebumps littered your skin as Leona's claws cut into your flesh. His lips kissed over each wound as he made his way up to your cherry painted lips.
"You look so cute, you know, like a little mouse about to get devoured by a starving lion."
The rhythm of his heartbeat was slowing down, it felt like the patter of ants atop one's flesh. He was dying...this was an irreversible fact. The love of your life was dying and there was nothing you could do but sit idly by and watch the life fade from his pale bruised face. Your thumb ran over his knuckles in robotic-like strokes. Hours had passed, you'd shed all the tears that you had. He was gone...that was all there was to it.
For a hopeless second, you flicked your eyes to the open window on the opposite side of the room, There was never any sun on the island of lamination but regardless today seemed brighter than any other day. "How cruel" you muttered in a deadpan voice. Outside something...or better yet...someone was running through the fields, chasing what looked like a butterfly. The young child had blazing blue hair a symbol of the Shroud family...
THE SHROUD FAMILY
Your breath hitch in your lungs, your heart began to pound furiously in your chest. They could help you though hopefully. There family where distant relatives of the god of the underworld and a few years back -to your regulation- the hair of the family had been able to semi revive his younger brother. If he was able to bring back a child from the dead than surly they would have no problem returning your lost lover to you.
Your eyes waltz over his dormant face one last time before you got up and ran for the door.
"This is all for you my love, all of this is for you"
The Shroud family mansion was located at the top of one of the many hills that plagued the island. It was a dark grisly building that resembled the castles from old tales, where monsters laid dormant. Rumors spiraled around the rural civilization, some saying that the family was cursed by the lord of the dead, whilst others claimed that the shroud family were the long lost descendants of the lord of the dead and the maiden of spring. The curse had been placed on the family by the temperamental mother of the maiden of spring, anathematizing the family to be plagued with death and disappear for the rest of eternity.
Regardless of what their misfortune was, they may very well be the last people on earth who could help you. Surely if the family had brought back their youngest than they could bring back your lover!
You knuckles tapped furiously at the old metal doors of the frightful residence. The rhythm was unkept, unsteady, it's mere sound radiated urgency.
"PLEASE HELP ME"
Your throat burned as you screamed out those three lousy words.
After what felt like forever, the doors cracked open, revealing a tall man obscured by the shadows. Any light that touched the interior of the house seemed to die acidity, making peering inside nearly impossible.
"What business do you have?" The man's voice was croaky as if his vocal cords hadn't been used in years. For a split second, you closed your eyes, trying to organize the thoughts in your head. "My...my...h-hus...lover, my lover is d-dead...o-or rather he is dying....probably fully gone by now..." despite the mess of stuttered letters and mixed-up words, the man seemed to understand your situation. With a long sigh, he pulled you into the somber house.
Fingers still wrapped tightly around your wrist he pulled you around, guiding you through the darkness until you reached a large room lit only by the mysterious blue flames of the fireplace. Sitting by the warmth was a...well it was hard to tell, her face -despite it displaying every bone of her visage coupled with dark sunken eyes- resembled that of a woman no older than thirty, whilst her body resembled a decaying skeleton. What was she? Was she the lady of the residence or yet another monster this bizarre family had created.
"My, love" the man began to speak, his voice was somehow cleared like it had been given some sort of jolt. "This young lady needs Idia's help, she wants to bring back her lover from the dead."
The woman said nothing, her eyes staring ahead, burning a hole in the wall right by your head. "What will she give him in return" despite her "deteriorating" appearance her voice was like soft silk on one's skin, melodious and fair.
"Why herself!" This time the man's voice boomed across the house, echoing through the hallways and falling on you like a cave in.
"M-myself! What the hell do you mean!"
"It sounds fair" the women agreed "my darling sweet son saves your lover and instead you agree to marry him! Oh how wonderful, just like in the tales about grandfather Hades!"
She seemed too thrilled about this, her snow-white eyes gleaming with a sort of delusional passion.
"Idia! Idia honey! Come down your father has a surprise for you!"
The hollow sound of footsteps soon filled the quiet air. Followed by another soft blue glow.
Was there no normal fire in this house?
But it wasn't fire, not exactly. When your eyes fell on the heir of the Shroud family, you suddenly felt a nervous wave crash over you. There was something -even more- unsettling about him, he looked nothing like his charming little brother. For one his hair wasn't...well hair! Sure you'd expect a small batch of blazes heading upwards but this was something else entirely! It resembled a large bonfire that floated towards the ground, rouge sparks falling in every which direction, sizzling and then dying abandoned on the floor. And his eyes, Miosis like pupils floating around in a pool of lemon yellow.
But all the physical appearances aside, the most unsettling thing about him was the gloomy aura that leaked off him, suffocating anyone in his presence. Nervously you took a step back only to be yanked forward again by the taller man.
"Idia baby!" His mother ran over to him, cradling his hands in hers "This cute young lady has agreed to marry you if you can save her lover, just like in that old tale about your great grandfather! Oh, my this is all so romantic!"
It seemed like no one here understood that you were in love WITH SOMEONE ELSE! Or maybe they did and chose to disregard it. Instead, using the bits they retained as kindling to feed their raw excitement. You shifted your gaze back to Idia's face. To your utter terror, he was...smiling? Could that...look...even be called a smile? It seemed more like the way a shark would bare its teeth at a defenseless seal! Oh, gods please don't let this...thing...be your future husband!
"It should be easy enough," His golden gaze landed on you "W-when did...did he die?" it took a few moments before you register that he was talking to you or technically asking you something. "A...A  few..." your voice cracked, tears streaming down your eyes.
"So recently...okay that shouldn't be a p-problem." He turned on his heels and walked back into the seclusion of the halls "I'll grab some things and meet you by the front door"
A few things ended up being a pile of wires and bolts. Something that looked like a light blue ball of energy and so many tools whose names seemed to go over your head.
Idia was kneeling by your lover's bed, pulling apart the skin and fusing metal in its place. Your darling's chest was cracked open, his ribs poking out towards the sky as if praying for life from the lord of the sky. Every once in awhile Idia would pull out a long tool with smoke floating from the top. He'd lay it on an organ watching as the tissue fiber sizzled away under the heat. He would then tie wires and small circular batteries inside.
"His heart stopped working, I'm guessing from some sort of shock"
You just hummed in response, too caught up in how the man you loved was beginning to look like a modern-day Frankenstein rather than a human being.
The sun had long since faded when Idia finally got up from his spot. His bones cracked and screeched at the sudden change, his muscles giving out halfway leaving him to rely on the wall for support to stand. Your lover's chest had been sewn back and covered with a silver piece of metal. His neck was wrapped in the same sort of alloy. His left arm had been cut open so Idia could shove the energy ball inside than cover it, leaving a small enough gap for wires that stretched from his chest to weld into the ball.
"He just needs a boost" Idia murmured that shark-like grin overtaking his pale face once more. From the side table, he plucked up to jumper cables and clipped them on either side of his neck. Jolts and crackles filled the room and sparks flew in every direction, the once-dead body shuffled around, arms and legs moving at random. You shrieked and duck behind Idia.
Only then did he pry the clips from his neck.
Nothing
for too long nothing happened... then there was a slight wiggle in one finger, then another. His eyes slowly began to prey open, looking over his surroundings. The moment his confused gaze feel onto you. Idia turned you around to face him, clumsily smashing his blue chapped lips onto yours.
From the corner of his eyes, Idia watched as the other man began to understand what was happening...even if he was just resurrected there was still agony at the sight of his lover kissing another...
Good! That should show him who you belonged to now!
October 1st 8 p.m.
Henry asked me if I wanted to go with him to a rooftop party. I mean, of course I wanted to go with him, because I’ve never been to a party like that. However, as I try to find something to wear, I’m left with barely anything. The money he gave me, went straight to the bank to pay off a tiny bit of my severe debt. I kinda want to ask Henry to just pay it all off, but I’m too scared to ask him.
But now I sorta wished I spend it on clothes. I don’t even know what one wears to a rooftop party.
I slip on my black heels after I put on a simple black shirt with long sleeves, that’s tugged in a grey checkered pants. This looks sort of sophisticated.
I hope.
With my purse in hand, I walk out of my door. I know Henry is already here, so now I only need to sneak passed mister Del Rossi.
Let’s just hope he is watching some series again.
After I peeked around the corner, I see he is too invested in a different movie, so I shoot out of the building without him noticing me. Once I’m outside, I see Henry leaning against his Range Rover.
He looks so expensive. I think his belt is probably worth more than my entire outfit. The black slacks accentuate the firmness of his legs (and probably the firmness of his ass too, but only time will tell) and he paired it with a tight white blouse, with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, revealing his strong underarms and probably severely overpriced watch.
Instead of greeting him, like you usually do when you see someone you know, I let the words: ‘I’m severely underdressed,’ slip, whilst stopping in the middle of the curb.
’No, you’re not,’ Henry says. ‘You look perfect.’
Perfect isn’t a word I would associate with me. Ever. Even my parents and siblings would agree that perfect and I don’t go hand in hand.
‘Excuse me, what?’
‘You look perfect,’ he repeats. ‘If you think you’re underdressed though, you and I could go shopping first. We have time.’
‘Really?’ I ask. ‘I mean, you wanted to go to the party tonight. Don’t you wanna be on time?’
‘There is a thing called fashionably late,’ he says. ‘Besides, I don’t want you to feel underdressed.’
Is this honestly my life now? I sort of say I want something and he just puts his life on hold, simply to give it to me?
I could get used to that.
‘How much time do we have left?’ I ask. ‘I mean, is there even a store open now?’
‘We have all the time in the world. Now get in, Becky,’ he says with a smile, ‘I know a place that is still open.’
✤ ✤ ✤
When Henry says he knows a place, he really does know a place. He takes me to the most luxurious boutique in the entirety of Manhattan and the owner (who is a lot smaller than Henry, but wow, is he very handsome. Totally someone I would break my neck for if I saw him passing me) holds up his hand when he spots us. ‘Henry, what a surprise.’ His brown eyes land on me and he smiles even brighter than before. ‘Hi there, I’m Peter.’
He holds out his hand and I carefully take it. ‘I’m Becky, nice to meet you.’
‘What can I do for you today?’
‘We’re going to the rooftop party at Gino’s,’ Henry says, his hand possessively in the dip of my waist, almost as he wants everyone in the store (and that includes the four rich looking guys in the back of the store) to know I’m with him. ‘And we want something for her to wear. Though I think she looks beautiful already, she should feel comfortable.’
Excuse me, my legs should not feel this wobbly.
Peter nods. ‘Well, I have just the thing for you. Walk with me, Becky.’
Henry squeezes my waist, before I walk with Peter to the left of the store.
‘So,’ Peter says, ‘are you enjoying this type of lifestyle?’
How does one respond to this implication, especially when it’s true? ‘Hm, what?’
‘Oh love, I know all about what you two have,’ he says. ‘Henry and I go way back.’ He goes through the clothing racks, as his eyes scan every item on the it. ‘We went to high school together and became best friends. We still are. So, after college, he goes to start Midnight and became filthy rich and I didn’t. I worked in cheap clothing stores after studying fashion and when he saw me struggle, he gave me the head start I needed. And now, look at me. One of the greatest boutiques here in Manhattan.’
‘Really?’ I ask him. ‘Does he give away money like that all the time to anyone?’
He shakes his head as a chuckle leaves his lips. ‘No,’ Peter answers. ‘He barely does it. Only to charities, but he always does it anonymous. You know, it was my idea to sign him up for Sugar Sugar. He is getting pretty lonely.’
‘How?’ I ask. ‘I mean, how does someone who looks like that, doesn’t have someone in his life?’
‘He is…’ Peter starts, ‘wait a minute, how do I say this? Keen on a solitary life.’
‘But why did he sign up then?’
‘Because the solitary life isn’t doing him any good.’ He smiles and says: ‘Becky with the good hair was the first profile to pop up on his feed and it was all he needed to see.’
I’m oddly flattered. ‘Really?’ I ask. ‘Why?’ I try to think about my profile picture, which was a very plain picture of me sitting in the grass during a picnic with Genevieve and Viola.
‘I don’t know. We signed him up and he was sold the second he saw your pictures and read your profile. He didn’t even check other profiles, just clicked on yours to send you a message.’ Peter has obtained a set: a tight black skirt with a white long-sleeved crop top. He ushers me to follow him and like a puppy I trail behind him. He grabs some black shiny boots, with a high thin heel after he asked for my shoe size. He even takes some jewelry with him.
Peter hangs everything up for me in the dressing room, as Henry takes a sit in a chair. ‘Show me when you’re dressed, okay?’ he says to me. I nod and when Peter stepped out of the dressing room, I close the curtain behind me.
While I’m changing, I hear them softly talking. I lean towards the curtain with my ear and try to decipher what they are talking about, but I can’t understand what they’re saying.
Is it true though, what Peter told me? Was Henry really sold the second he saw my profile? Meaning, he is not lying when he calls me beautiful?
I look at myself in the mirror and grab the silver collier and the matching ring. This looks amazing, I think to myself, as the skirt and top give my such an hour glass figure. My work attire is a star in hiding the few curves I have and my other clothes don’t quite accentuate it. I put on the heels and open the curtain.
‘My oh my,’ Peter says as I step out. ‘You are stunning.’
‘Thanks to you,’ I chuckle. ‘I absolutely love it.’
Peter walks over to me, pulling the skirt a little straighter. ‘You know, I love every piece of clothing in this boutique, but it’s always the model who makes it work. You sure you don’t want to model for me?’
I should not be blushing. ‘I don’t think I would be good enough for that.’
‘Nonsense,’ Peter says. ‘You don’t have to say yes straight away, but think about it.’ From the looks of it, he is dead serious.
Henry stands up and gets closer to me, causing him to literally tower over me. He grabs his hand in mine, inspecting the ring. ‘Peter,’ he says, ‘do you have a ring that is a little bit more delicate?’
His friend nods and walks into the store to grab a different ring. Henry gently pulls the ring off my finger.
‘What do you think?’ I ask him. ‘I mean, you’re probably gonna pay for it.’
‘I am gonna pay for it,’ he says with a smirk. ‘What Peter said: you’re stunning. I think I’ll be making everyone very jealous with you by my side.’
I highly doubt it, but this sure is a nice compliment.
Peter comes back with a different ring and after they exchanged them, Henry slides on the other ring around my finger.
This sure gives me enough to work with for my next dream, I can tell you that. The ring is a little bit more delicate, but when I look at it, it’s indeed better around my finger. ‘Perfect,’ Henry says. ‘You want a clutch to match with this?’
‘I’d rather have a purse,’ I mumble.
I don’t have to tell Henry twice. ‘Peter, could you grab some purses for her to check out?’
The store owner hurries back to the store once again, this time to fetch us some purses.
‘Should I put my other clothes in a bag?’ I suggest. ‘I can do that, while we wait.’
I already turn around, but Henry pulls me back. ‘No,’ he sternly says, ‘stay here.’
While Peter gives us four purses to show, he is actually the one that puts my other clothes in a bag, neatly folding it in a way I never do that. I pick a black and white purse, though I really like the pink one. It’s just that I’m not confident enough to pull off a bright pink purse with this outfit.
After Peter cut out the tags off my clothes and Henry paid for them (it was a good two thousand dollars, my poor heart), he receives the bag with my clothing from his friend and we say our goodbyes to Peter. ‘Can we go here more often?’ I ask Henry, as he opens the door for me.
‘If you want that, of course.’
Once we’re seated in his car again, I look to the side. ‘Thank you, I absolutely love it.’
‘Good,’ he says, starting the car. ‘You look like an absolute vision, Becky.’
✤ ✤ ✤
I know about how valets work, but I’ve never seen it happen in real life. I actually thought about working as a valet, but then I remembered I don’t have a drivers license, so that possibility went off the table fairly quick.
Henry held up his hand when a valet guy wanted to walk around the car to open my door, only to do it himself. He offered me his hand and once I took it, he helped me out of the car. Now, we’re stepping into the elevator that’s prettier than the entire apartment building I live in.
‘Gino is a good friend of mine,’ he says. ‘His parties are usually pretty okay, but if you want to leave, just let me know.’
‘Okay,’ I say.
‘And I don’t know how your alcohol tolerance is,’ he continues to say, ‘but his drinks are pretty strong, so watch out for that.’
Good to know. I can’t handle alcohol very well, except maybe a nice wine. ‘Is there wine?’ I ask him.
‘I’ll check for you. Also, remember not to take drinks from anyone, but me, okay?’
I scoff. ‘How old do you think I am?’ I ask. ‘I’m a grown woman, Henry.’
He smiles. ‘Well, you know, Becky,’ he continues to say, ‘Gino might be nice, but his friends are not always.’ He looks to the side. ‘If I were you, I’d stay close.’
‘I was thinking the same,’ I mumble, my cockiness dissolving as we speak. ‘I’m not really good at parties,’ I admit. ‘My last party was prom and it was horrendous. And that with people I actually knew.’
He nods. ‘Another reason to stay close.’
We step out of the elevator and oh my gosh, the aesthetic of the rooftop party is beautiful. I see golden lights everywhere and with the terrace heaters, the place has a nice temperature, so I’m not freezing to death in this outfit. I hear some music, watch some people dancing in the middle of the roof, whilst other are standing near the bar or sitting on large lounge sofa’s.
Okay, the people seem okay, just they all look so expensive, while I on the other hand look really poor, even in this two thousand dollar outfit. Is Henry absolutely sure he wants me to interact with these bouche people? I mean, I am part of his reputation now. If they think low of me, I honestly don’t mind, since I’ll probably ever see them again, but if they think low of Henry, because of me… That can’t be good, especially because he pays me to be by his side.
Henry must sense my discomfort, because after he places a heavy hand on my lower back, he leans down to my ear and whispers: ‘If I were afraid you were gonna embarrass me, I wouldn’t have taken you here. Just be yourself.’
‘Are you sure?’ I ask. ‘Henry, I’m not even content with myself. I can fake something, get an alter ego. Just give me a minute to prepare.’
‘No,’ he says sternly, ‘I want you.’
My knees barely recover from that comment. He wants me…
…to be by his side, without putting up an act. This has no sexual meaning what so ever. We agreed on that, I know that. ‘Okay,’ I say. ‘Just me. Sure?’
He chuckles. ‘Sure,’ he confirms. We walk towards a table and he hands me a glass of wine, before getting himself some whiskey.
Rich men really drink that?
His hand has risen from my lower back, to the midst of my back, his thumb caressing the bare part between my skirt and crop top. It’s such a casual and simple gesture from his side, but it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy, with added heart palpitations.
‘If anyone asks,’ Henry says, ‘you’re my date.’
I actually wonder if anyone is even gonna notice me, because has Henry seen himself? Right when I want to say something to him, a man walks up to us. ‘Henry, you made it!’
‘Gino, nice to see you again.’ Henry holds out his hand and the two shake hands.
Oh, Gino is quite handsome as well. Does Henry only know beautiful people? I thought Peter was to die for already, but Gino sure is a sight for the eye as well. ‘Hello there,’ Gino says, a lovely smile appearing on his face.
‘Hi,’ I say, not quite sure if I should introduce myself or wait for him to ask my name.
‘This is Becky,’ Henry says, when he senses my incapability to be polite. ‘Becky, this is Gino.’
‘Nice to meet you, Becky,’ Gino says, shaking my hand with full enthusiasm, that my shoulder nearly gets dislocated. But it’s nice to be welcomed to someones party with this much excitement. Especially because I have never met the man before.
‘Nice to meet you too,’ I finally manage to say. ‘I love the aesthetic of the party. Very warm and beautiful.’
Gino smiles. ‘You know, you’re the first one to actually say something about it.’ He looks at Henry. ‘I like her.’
He ushers us to follow him to a lounge couch in the corner and while we trail behind, I tug Henry’s hand. ‘He likes me?’ I ask him. ‘Did he really say that?’
‘He did,’ Henry says with a smile.
I watch Gino shooing people away from the couch and holds out his hand, gesturing for us to take a sit. Henry and Gino both wait till I’m seated and I place my purse on my lap, since I’m not sure how far up my skirt you can look if I just normally sit. When I crossed my legs as well, Henry places his hand on knee, as he talks business with Gino.
My entire skin burns, even the part where his cold ring is making contact with my leg.
While I’m slightly disappointed that Henry and Gino aren’t involving me in the conversation, I realize it’s not about me. Of course it’s not about me. I’m tagging along with Henry, who is much more important than I am and who has business to do, even at a party.
I let my eyes wander over the people, who all seem to know each other. People kissing each other on the cheeks as they approach someone. Women wrapping their arms around some guy, who pulls them close as they clink their glasses.
‘Where are the restrooms?’ I ask them.
‘Near the elevators,’ Gino answers. ‘On your right hand.’
‘Okay, thanks.’ I look at Henry and softly say: ‘I’ll be right back.’
I place my empty wineglass on a table and walk through the people towards the restrooms. Not to pee or anything, but to regain my thoughts. Everyone here is so pretty and gorgeous and I feel so out of place.
I mean, even the bathroom is decorated in such a pretty and rich manner, and I’m none of that. I look into the mirror and decide to touch up some of my lipstick. I do some breathing exercises, because I feel like I’m totally working myself up.
After a short break from the party, I decide to walk back to the lounge couch. I push myself through the enormous crowd of people, but when I’m really close to Henry and Gino again, I bump into someone.
‘Oh, shoot, I’m so sorry,’ I say.
The guy who I bumped into smiles at me and all of the sudden I’m in desperate need of a pair of sunglasses. Why are his teeth so white? Is that even healthy? ‘No, it’s okay,’ he says. ‘Who you here with?’ he then asks me.
‘I’m with him,’ I say, pointing at the lounge couch, only to see Henry already looking at us.
‘Want something to drink?’
Yeah, that’s a no. I’m not accepting a drink from someone who clearly has had one too many. ‘No, but thank you for offering,’ I say, taking Henry’s advice on not taking drinks from anyone, but him to heart. ‘I’ve gotta go.’
I want to walk passed him, but the man grabs my wrist tightly. ‘Come on, one drink.’
I barely learned anything in juvie, but there is one thing I learned pretty damn quickly: if you want to break yourself free from someone’s grasp, rotate your arm towards their thumb. They can’t hold onto you, even if they wanted to and seeing this man’s level of intoxication, I think it’ll be doable.
I twist my arm towards his thumb and like I predicted, he lets go of me. ‘No thanks,’ I say, quickly walking up to the lounge corner. Henry is on the edge of his seat and when I approach him, he stands up. ‘Was he harassing you?’ he asks me, his eyes a few shades darker, as he places his hand on my upper arm.
Why does Henry look like he is ready to skin the guy alive and why is that so hot?
‘No,’ I say.
‘It sure looked like it to me.’
He wants to pass me, but I place my hand on his chest (okay, that was the original plan, but it lands on his stomach). ‘I took care of it, Henry,’ I say, as we both look at the guy who is still rubbing his hand, meaning I took him by surprise. ‘I promise you, I’m fine.’
He clears his throat, almost as if he has to restrain himself not to do anything about it. He simply nods and when the two of us sit down again, he places a heavy hand on my leg, as he talks to Gino about more business stuff. His grip on my leg slightly tightens every time the guy looks our way.
While I might not understand a lot of it, I am completely drawn in by the way Henry speaks. He sounds so confident when talking about something of his own field of expertise. Tine goes by, but there isn’t a second I’m bored.
I wrap my arm around his and place my cheek against his thick upper arm.
That sparks his attention. ‘Look at you,’ he says with an endearing smile on his face. ‘You tired, Becky?’
‘No,’ I say, but that’s a lie. In all honesty: I’m dog tired.
‘We’ve been here for quite some time,’ he says, looking at his watch. ‘Two hours nearly.’
‘We’ve been here for two hours?’ I ask him. It sure doesn’t feel like that. No wonder I’m tired, it’s way passed my bedtime. ‘Really?’
‘Yeah,’ he says. ‘I think we should go.’
‘No, we don’t have to, not if you’re still busy.’
‘We’re going,’ he tells me.
Yeah, I can’t argue with that.
I sit up straight and when he is standing, he holds out his hand for me to take. While I’m perfectly capable to get up myself, I gladly take him up on his offer. We say our goodbyes to Gino (who actually pulls me into a hug, as apparently you do when you’re rich? I don’t know) and once we’re in the elevator again, I can’t hide my smile. ‘Gino’s nice.’
‘He is.’
‘You’re not mad about the other guy, right?’ I ask.
He scoffs, but I feel like that is the answer to my question.
‘It’s not that bad, Henry.’
‘It was to me,’ he says.
The valet pulls up the car and Henry helps me in the car again, a trait I very much appreciate and hope it never stops. Whilst Henry drives me home, I lean back against the seat and turn my head to the side. ‘What’s up?’ he asks me, turning the steering wheel with just one hand.
‘I never heard you talk that much about work,’ I say. ‘It’s nice to hear you talking about something you’re passionate about. You know, you talk a lot with your hands, once you get thrilled about something. It’s endearing.’
Henry laughs. ‘Endearing you say?’
‘Oh, right, you’re a tough guy. Endearing doesn’t match with your reputation.’
He stops the car in front of my building. ‘Thanks for going with me.’
‘Of course,’ I say. ‘If Gino has another rooftop party, please invite me. I love the way he decorates it. Or lets it decorate, I don’t know. I feel like there should be a little bit more orange and yellow added to it. Not those neon colors, but those warm and soft— Henry, why are you laughing?’
‘It’s nice to hear you talking about something you’re passionate about,’ he says with a smile. ‘You want me to walk with you?’
’No, if my landlord sees me walking in with a man like you, I have no idea how he is gonna react and I don’t want to find out.’
He opens the door for me after he got out himself and hands me the bag with my old clothes. ‘I’m taking you shopping soon,’ he says.
I like how he tries to formulate it as a question, but fails. Shows me that no matter how much money he has, he is still human. ‘Really? We’re going to Peter again?’
He nods. ‘Among other shops, yes.’
‘Great, sure. Thank you for tonight. I really had fun.’
‘Me too,’ he says.
I don’t know how to say goodbye to him, so I simply smile and walk towards the entrance of the apartment building. I look over my shoulder one more time and shyly wave at him.
I quickly run up the stairs and once I’m in my room, my phone beeps in my purse. Henry transferred a thousand dollars to me? Thank you for your company tonight, Becky it says in the description.
I can’t help but smile, though it doesn’t last very long, because I know that I have to save part of this money to pay off mister Del Rossi and the rest for my debt.
Meaning that I can’t enjoy it yet.
But that’ll come soon, I’m sure.
October 3rd 2 p.m.
Henry takes me shopping like he promised, but after the morning I had in Retro House, I continue to yawn and feel absolutely exhausted. Even in the dressing rooms, I sometimes just sit on the little stool, hoping to regain some energy. However, I pull myself together fairly quickly when I realize Henry is here to pay for everything my heart desires. The least I can do is be a nice shopping partner.
We decide to take a bit of a coffee break at a nearby cafe and thankfully that means I can get some caffeine in my body. I sure need it.
‘You’re tired,’ Henry notes.
Okay, I’m not doing a very good job at hiding it apparently. ‘Yeah, I’m sorry. Rough morning at the restaurant,’ I say. I lean back in the chair and close my eyes as the soft sun rays shine on my face. ‘I also slept like shit last night.’
‘You want another job?’ he asks.
I open my eyes again, to look at him. ‘Oh absolutely, but I have very little to offer,’ I say. ‘I’m not qualified for anything.’
‘How about you just quit your job?’ he suggests.
I choke on my own spit. Did he honestly just say that I quit my job? As lousy as working at Retro House is, I can’t just stop. ‘Excuse me, what?’ I ask. ‘That I’m pretty dependable on you already is out of my own comfort zone, but quitting my job? Seriously? What do you want me to do with my time? Take your credit card and shop till I drop?’
Come to think of it, that actually sounds like something I would thoroughly enjoy.
Henry chuckles. ‘I was going to offer you a different job,’ he says.
While the fantasy of me walking downtown with Henry’s credit card in my thousand dollar purse, an assistant who carries my bags and a little chihuahua walking next to me in a matching outfit runs through my mind, I realize that another job might be better for my pride.
‘Oh,’ I say, as the idea of a new job sparks my interest. ‘What type of job?’
‘Midnight is looking for someone who can work in the archives. It’s currently a mess there and it’s only getting worse, unless someone is there to organize it.’
I think I can actually do that. ‘Are you sure?’ I ask. ‘I mean, I don’t want to work for you because you feel sorry for me.’
‘I don’t feel sorry for you,’ Henry tells me. ‘I want to give you an opportunity to make money, before your writing career takes off.’
I snort. ‘Yeah, like that’ll ever happen
He tilts his head. ‘It’ll happen, Becky, I’m sure of that. You know, the money you earn with this job, can go to your bank account and you save up.’
‘Are you serious?’
He nods. ‘Otherwise I wouldn’t have offered.’
This is an amazing opportunity. I mean, working in the archives, that’s a job I would actually quite love to do. This will give me the opportunity to provide for myself and work on my books, while Henry still does what he does as my… I really don’t want to think about the word…
The things he does as my sugar daddy.
But there is one thing that is holding me back. ‘I can’t take you up on that offer,’ I say. ‘You see, your office is too far from my place. It’s around an hour by car. I don’t have a car, nor can I drive and… Going with public transportation is just something I can’t afford.’
‘You can’t drive?’ he asks me.
I shake my head.
‘You want to be able to drive?’
I shrug. ‘Maybe on abandoned roads somewhere else, but not here in New York. That just gives me stress.’
Henry nods. ‘Well, I’ll arrange a car for you to pick you up whenever you have to go to work. However, on your first day, I’ll pick you up, so I can help you around, get you a bit more familiar with the place.’
My eyes widen. ‘Seriously?’
‘Of course,’ he says.
‘Isn’t that a hassle? I mean—’
‘I don’t mind driving,’ he interrupts me, ‘and I don’t mind picking you up.’
I feel like I can’t argue with that, so I nod. ‘How much money would I make?’
‘Around three thousand a month, but you and I can negotiate about that.’
I think three thousand a month is absolutely fine, especially because I can pay back mister Del Rossi in no time once I have a steady salary. ‘Henry, I don’t know how to thank you. This is absolutely amazing.’
‘You can thank me by accepting the job. We’ll sign something tonight.’ He pulls out his phone and says: ‘I’ll have my assistant working on that. I’ll call him right now.’
✤ ✤ ✤
Becky: GEN, NO!!!!
October 7th 7:30 a.m.
We settled on the normal three thousand a month, since I don’t want special treatment simply because I am Henry’s sugar baby. We also decided that Henry offered me the job, after visiting Retro House a few times and we got to talk about something I want to do with my future. I mean, it’s not a total lie, so it’s easy to sell if anyone asks.
After he called his assistant, we went to even more stores, because I need to dress to impress, especially on my first day of work.
And today is the day. I would lie if I said I wasn’t nervous, because last night I couldn’t sleep at all. I was tossing and turning, to a point I fell off my bed.
Twice.
Henry kept his promise and picked me up and we’re already ten minutes on the road. But the traffic is really bad today, however I feel like it wouldn’t matter if I was late on my first day, when you drive along with your boss, a.k.a. the CEO of the entire company.
Henry leans back in his seat, as he watches the road. We’re standing completely still and that makes me even more nervous. ‘Don’t worry,’ he says, ‘it’ll go fine today.’
‘Really?’ I ask him. ‘I mean… I don’t know why I’m so nervous. What if no one likes me?’
‘Impossible,’ Henry retorts within a second. ‘You have a very likable personality, Becky. If someone doesn’t like you, maybe I should fire them.’
That should not make me this giggly from the inside, but it still does. ‘You don’t need to do that.’
Henry pulls up, only to stop shortly afterwards. The road is jam packed and he is getting very frustrated now, though he tries his best to hide it.
‘Do I have breaks?’ I ask him.
‘You can have as many breaks as you want,’ he says.
‘Henry, I don’t want special treatment just because I’m your… You know what. I want to be just like one of your other employees.’
He chuckles. ‘Well, since you work from eight—though I think today you start at nine, with this traffic—till two or three, you should have two breaks of thirty minutes.’
‘That’s long,’ I note.
‘I like to give my employees a lot of breaks,’ he says. ‘Helps them to keep concentrated. You can grab your lunch in the cafeteria, it’s all free, so don’t worry about that. You can hang around there, but the view from the archives is lovely, so who knows you want to stay there. That’s up to you.’
I look to the side, at the exact moment Henry runs his tongue over his bottom lip. ‘On normal days,’ I say, ‘do I see you?’
‘You can come up to my office whenever you want.’
‘Henry,’ I mutter, ‘I’m just like your other employees.’
‘I know that,’ he says. ‘But I literally personally hired you. Meaning you’re not like my employees to begin with.’
I let out a chuckle. ‘Mhm, we’ll see.’
✤ ✤ ✤
The exterior of the Midnight building is magnificent, but the inside is even more ravishing. The floors shine, the walls are either painted or covered in wallpaper, I can’t tell the difference and even the ceiling is decorated.
I receive my own pass that gives me access to any room, including the upper floor, which is Henry’s office where only he, his assistant and people who are invited are allowed. He shows me the floors and I try to ignore every glare I receive from people who are obviously surprised and confused by the CEO giving me a tour of this place.
We finally arrive on the seventeenth floor and after we walked through a long hallway, we arrive at the archives.
And to call this a mess, is an understatement. I don’t think I have ever seen this much paper unorganized on the floor in my life. ‘How is your company this successful?’ I ask Henry, who stands behind me, taking in the mess. ‘This is absolutely appalling.’
‘It is,’ he admits. ‘You’re still up for the job?’
‘I think I am,’ I mumble. ‘Just tell me how you want it and I’ll start right away.’
Henry explains he wants everything put in folders, boxes and preferably both alphabetized and sorted out by year. That is something I totally agree with.
After I placed my bag in the only free space of this room (the right corner), I crouch down to collect some paper, making sure the entrance is sort of free from paper. Henry walks around the corner, trying to find a label maker, stapler and other office supplies I might need.
The door creaks and I feel this enormous pack of paper land on my back. I wince as I look over my shoulder, to see this guy with such a smug grin on his face.
‘Excuse me,’ I ask, ‘what’s your problem?’
‘Just bringing some paper,’ he says.
‘Are you blind? Can’t you see I’m trying to organize this place?’
‘Sorry, sweetheart, just giving you more to do.’
I clench my jaw. Is this man for real? Firstly, he attacked me with paper. Secondly, he has the audacity to call me sweetheart. What’s next? He asks me to take off my clothes and organize this mess naked, while he grabs some popcorn, to enjoy the show and gives me more to do here?
‘Well,’ I say, ‘since it’s my first day here, I don’t think it would be nice of me to ram this pack of paper up your ass, but let me tell you this: if you ever have the nerve to throw a something in this room, I swear to—’
‘Mister Miller,’ I hear behind me. ‘Causing trouble again?’
The color in Miller’s face disappears, as he gulps, realizing Henry has both seen and heard what he said. ‘No, sir, absolutely not,’ he stammers.
Henry walks over to us, placing a box next to my feet. ‘Let’s have a talk outside,’ he says, placing his hand on the guy’s shoulder, ready to escort him out of the room. ‘I’ll be right back,’ he says to me, before walking out.
I open the box Henry placed next to my feet and I see a lot of supplies. I massage the spot on my back, where the thick pack of paper hit me. I bruise like a peach, I know that. A strong wind could break my nose and I’m sure I’ll feel this unfortunate meeting of this pack of paper against my back for awhile.
‘You’re alright?’ I hear Henry ask, when he comes back.
‘I’m okay,’ I say. ‘What happened to him?’
‘Just a small downgrade of his job description.’ The nonchalance in his voice cannot be missed. He seems like a tough boss, someone who applies the rule ‘one strike and you’re out’, but at the same time, he seems like the boss that would give you as much time off as you need, when you have a personal matter and actually visits you to check in with you. ‘I have a last minute meeting,’ he tells me, ‘but you’ll manage, right?’
‘I’ll manage.’
‘If you need anything, just text me. I’ll arrange something for you right away.’
Of course he will. I nod. ‘Okay, thanks, Henry.’
He opens his mouth to say something, but no words come out. He simply nods and walks out of the room.
✤ ✤ ✤
Working at Retro House, left me with defect: I can’t take a long break, not even one. If I took a fifteen minute break during an eight hour day, that would be a reason to celebrate. Now, I can take breaks whenever I want, how long I want.
That’s too much freedom in the work environment.
It just doesn’t feel good to chill around, while I could also be working. However, at around one in the afternoon, my lack of sleep is slowly catching up with me and I sit in the corner, stapling some papers together. It’s just that the way the sun shines onto the spot, that makes me even more drowsy than I already was.
As I stare out of the window, I realize Henry’s right. The view is beautiful here. My eyelids become heavier and heavier and I slowly drift off to sleep.
I don’t know how long I’m sleeping, but I wake up when I feel someone’s hand on my shoulder. I jolt awake, ready to karate chop the person who touches me, only to see it’s Henry. ‘Oh,’I say, ‘I’m so sorry. Don’t think I’ve slept the entire time. I just felt a bit tired and I guess I drifted off to sleep and—’
He shushes. ‘No, no, none of that. I can see how much work you’ve done in one day.’
He’s not mad? ‘You’re not mad?’
Henry frowns. ‘Why would I be mad?’
‘I don’t know,’ I stammer. ‘Just… Never mind. How was your day?’
‘It was good,’ he says. ‘I think you’re done for today. You’ve done enough.’
‘Henry, my shift isn’t over.’
He smirks. ‘Well, the boss says it is.’ He holds out his hand and helps me up. ‘I’ll take you back home.’
When we’re in the car, Henry doesn’t quite say anything. While I’m figuring out what to say to him, he takes a deep breath and says: ‘I’ll be busy for the next two weeks or so.’
I should not be disappointed, yet I am. ‘Oh, okay.’
‘I won’t be able to meet up or see you at work.’
That’s a bummer. ‘That’s fine,’ I say to him.
‘Tomorrow a driver will pick you up,’ he continues. ‘His name is Laurence, he drives me around from time to time. Very nice man.’
‘Alright,’ I say.
‘And if you need anything from me, you can always text me.’ He looks to the side as he waits for the red traffic light. ‘Promise me, Becky.’
I chuckle as I nod. ‘I promise, Henry.’
October 21st 9 p.m.
Working in the archives is pretty much a solo job. I’ve snapped at people multiple times, before they get a chance to throw papers into the room and now, everyone gently places their papers on a designated table.
Maybe people don’t like me because of I yelled at them, but come to think of it: I only yelled at men.
A group of women asked me to join them on their lunch breaks. While at first glance, they didn’t seem like the type of people I’d personally pick out to eat my lunch with, they are very pleasant to be around with and I’m happy they invited me.
They, of course, all have their own lives, with husbands and children, but it’s nice to not spend my time alone.
I do however have slight issues with stopping today, because the room finally looks a bit more presentable. It’s nowhere near done, don’t get me wrong, but it’s nice to see the entire floor.
With my bag over my shoulder, I wait for the elevator doors to open. These passed two weeks, I indeed barely saw Henry, but he did transfer a thousand dollars to my bank account (with the description ‘just because’). He sometimes texted me, reminding me to take my well deserved breaks and to not only work on organizing the archives, but also work on my book, as it—and I quote—“doesn’t write itself”.
While the elevator takes its sweet time to come up to the right floor, I see that Laurence texted me that unfortunately he has a family matter. I quickly text him back that it’s okay and that I hope everything will be okay for him soon. I step into the elevator. I want to press the button to go to the ground floor, but my eyes land on the button for the upper floor.
I know Henry is in the office today and I could… You know… Talk to him.
I’m not gonna lie, but I missed him. I really wished it wasn’t like that, because I don’t think you should attach to your sugar daddy that much, but I can’t help it. I miss being around him.
When I press the button to go to the upper floor, I have to scan my pass, granting me access. The elevator takes me all the way to the top and when the doors slide open, I can already see Henry sitting behind his desk.
He looks up and smiles when he notices it’s me. ‘I was wondering when I would see you up here.’
‘Well, I don’t have a ride home. Laurence has a family matter.’
‘Yeah, so I’ve heard,’ he says. ‘He texted me a second ago. It’s pretty severe, so he won’t be able to drive you for a while.’ He nods for me to come closer.
‘Oh, that’s too bad,’ I say. ‘If you give me his address, I’ll send him a card.’
‘I’ll text you the address.’ He pats on the wooden top of his desk and I carefully take a seat. ‘You know, I’ll drive you back to your place, just have to save something and log out. Tell me: how are you?’
‘I’m good,’ I answer. ‘I really like it at the archives and it’s finally getting a bit more organized, meaning I can properly start very soon.’
‘I’ve seen it this morning, before you arrived,’ he says. ‘It looked good, Becky. Very proud of you.’
When was the last time I heard those words? I don’t think someone—besides Viola and Genevieve—has ever been proud of me. ‘It’s nothing,’ I say.
He leans back in his chair. Henry looks tired, as if these last two weeks have been pretty hard on him.
‘How are you?’ I ask him.
‘Better now you’re here,’ he quietly says, almost like he doesn’t want me to hear it, but I heard it and I’m so gonna text this to Genevieve and Viola. ‘You know, I have an offer for you.’
‘Oh, okay,’ I say. ‘Tell me.’
‘I could buy you an apartment.’
My eyes nearly roll out of their sockets. ‘What?’ I want to add a ‘No, that’s not necessary’ to it, but I know Henry long enough to realize that’s not gonna work. ‘Where?’ I ask.
He seems surprised by me not resisting the idea (believe me, I’m quite shocked myself), but he quickly regains his composure. ‘Madison Square Park Tower.’
I gasp out load. ‘What? That shit is expensive,’ I exclaim.
‘I can afford it,’ Henry says with a smile.
‘I’ve checked those apartments out before with Viola and Genevieve. It’s very very expensive, Henry. Isn’t it even a bit out of your price range?’
He frowns. ‘What do you mean?’
‘Well, your profile said your fortune was ten million.
Henry scoffs, almost like he’s offended. ‘Well, you can multiply that by a few.’
I am in shock. By a few? What’s a few? How much money does this man have? I don’t think I can respond to this. He is honestly that wealthy? Oh my, this is unbelievable.
This man is a catch.
‘I have a penthouse in the same building,’ he says, ‘so you can travel with me to work if you want.’
‘Of course you have a penthouse,’ I mutter. ‘If I were to say yes, just know that I don’t want a penthouse. An apartment is more than enough.’
‘Are you sure?’ he asks me. ‘I can buy you a penthouse.’
‘Promise me, only an apartment,’ I say in the same tone I use to everyone who walks into the archives, before they throw their paper in the room.
He smiles. ‘Okay, only an apartment. Want to check it out?’
‘Now?’
‘Yes, now.’
I clear my throat. I should be asleep, but going to Madison Square Park Tower weirdly does not happen to me a lot, so I nod. ‘Okay, sure.’
✤ ✤ ✤
My jaw is probably dislocated by the time we finished our tour on the twenty-fifth floor in apartment 25B of Madison Square Park Tower. Henry is that rich, he can literally ask the receptionist for a key, because he wants to check out an apartment and she just gives him it!
What kind of sorcery is this?
The place is totally up my alley, if I were rich and able to afford it. There are so many opportunities and possibilities to redo this place with the walls and the floors. Decorating the interior to my likings.
‘You want it?’ Henry asks me.
Yes! ‘I don’t know,’ I say to him. ‘I really don’t know, Henry.’ I stand near the window, admiring the view.
Becky, you so want this apartment. Just listen to your gut, ignore that voice of reason.
‘It’s a lot of money and I feel like you are losing yourself,’ I say to him. ‘Remember, I am your sugar baby, not your best friend like Peter, or your girlfriend. What if you and I stop for this arrangement? I can’t afford this apartment, even with all the money I’m saving and are gonna save.’
Henry lets out a deep sigh, but doesn’t say anything.
‘I very much appreciate all the things you do for me. Really. The laptop, the phone, the job. You are giving me the opportunities in life I never knew I could have. But… This is not just a studio. This is millions of dollars.’
He sits on the windowsill, crossing his arms.
I have probably fucked up big time, but that doesn’t stop me from adding: ‘You only know me for a month, Henry. I can’t accept it.’
‘I’m paying for the place,’ he says, ‘and how you want to furnish it, allowing you to save the money you make and I give you. When you and I stop our arrangement, I’m selling the place again, probably with profit and you have the kick start you need on your bank account.’
Okay, I think I can live with that. Emphasis on think. ‘You really want to do that?’ I ask him one more time. ‘Absolutely positive?’
‘Of course, otherwise I wouldn’t have offered it, Becky. I want to buy you this place, so you can move out of… the place you’re currently living in.’
‘For someone with my former salary, it was a great apartment. It even came with a hallway rat.’
He looks to the side, slightly mortified. ‘Please accept my offer.’
I take a deep breath. I know if I say no, I’m going to regret it and Genevieve will kill me. ‘Okay,’ I say. ‘I accept your offer.’
‘Good,’ he says, ‘it’s yours next week.’
✤ ✤ ✤
‘Mister Del Rossi,’ I say, as I run into the his condo. He lets out a loud scream from his bed and then I realize, it’s almost midnight. Of course he was sleeping. I should’ve knocked or he should’ve locked his door, because it’s not safe that I can just barge in.
‘What are you doing here?’ he asks me. ‘Unless you have the money—’
‘That’s what I wanted to talk to you about,’ I say. ‘I’m moving out soon.’
While he first looked slightly pissed because I woke him up, he now seems furious and ready to strangle me.
Which is very understandable.
‘But,’ I quickly say, ‘if you have around one more month of patience, I’ll pay you five months worth of rent and you can keep my deposit.’
Now I have piqued his interest. ‘Really?’
‘Yes, really. I have an amazing job now, an opportunity to move to a different place and I promise you, I’ll pay you. Like, at the end of November probably.’
He thinks about it, but knowing he can keep the deposit, must make this decision quite easy to make. ‘Okay,’ he says, ‘but I need you to sign something, miss Kim. I’ve had it with you and your promises.’
I totally don’t blame him for that. ‘Of course, mister Del Rossi. Thank you so so much!’
‘And now get outta here.’
‘Oh yes, of course.’ I walk towards the door and before I close it I say: ‘Sweet dreams, mister Del Rossi.’
October 22nd 7 a.m.
Becky: Girls, I’m moving
Genevieve: What? Seriously? Daddy Henry bought you a place?
Becky: 🖕🏼🖕🏼
Genevieve: I’ll take that as a yes 😉
Viola: Finally you’re moving out of that dump.
Viola: Where are you moving to?
Becky: Madison Square Park Tower
Genevieve: You need a roommate? I’ll dump Greg right away to move in with you.
“You’re a fucking joke, Sap,” Y/N spat, shoving Sapnap back as he stumbled backward. Quackity and Punz stood behind, watching as he walked closer, with a glare already set on his face. “Are you somehow surprised that I’m not some obedient dog?! Scared that the bitch is fighting back?” The spine-chilling smile made Sapnap take a step back before snarling towards his younger brother.
“I miss my real brother - the boy who’d never hurt anyone, wouldn’t fight back against someone trying to protect him,”
“I do not need your fucking protection, you fucking pathetic excuse of a brother!” Y/N’s voice bounced around them as the once thumping music came to a slow halt, causing everyone’s attention to shift towards the small group. The casino floor became swallowed with thick silence, as Quackity glanced towards Punz who took a step in front of him.
“That’s enough, everyone is to leave.” His voice amplified as everyone stood still, no one daring to move until he grit his teeth. “I said MOVE IT.” All jumped and began moving towards the entrance as he followed behind a small group of people, glancing over his shoulder to Quackity, who gave him a quick nod.
“Why don’t we just calm down-”
“Quackity shut the-”
“Don’t finish that fucking sentence, Sapnap.” Y/N stepped in front of his fiance, snarling at her brother who frowned. “This is between us, so focus your anger towards me.”
“Trust me, all my pent anger will be directed towards you, Sparkler.” He snickered as he narrowed his eyes, lips pressing into a straight line.
“Don’t call me that. You lost the privilege to call me that.” He growled, hatred and venom evident in his voice. A gentle hand tugged on his wrist, making him turn towards Quackity as he shot him a soft look before smiling, causing his frown to turn into a gentle smile.
“Why don’t we take this somewhere more private..?” The scarred man spoke easily as Sap scoffed, crossing his hands over his chest as Y/N snapped his attention back to his brother.
“Remember..? We have nothing to discuss, Quackity. This is between my brother and I.” The Blazeborn hissed as small waves of smoke lifted from his fingertips and curled up lips. He narrowed his eyes before taking a step away from Quackity, whose touch chased after his warmth.
“Don’t you dare go Blaze in here, Sapnap. Don’t start something you cannot finish.” He murmured, keeping his voice low but promising of a threat.
“You and I, now,” he snags his arm, tugging him towards the private back rooms as Quackity stood there, worrying, as he watched his ex take his Amor behind a closed door.
~~~~
He stumbled on his heels as Sapnap shoved him through the doorway, grumbling as he caught himself on the small stage.
“Are you fucking serious-” his voice trailed as he listened to the lock flip as Sap locked the door behind them, standing between Y/N and the door with a quivering smile. His eyes grew wide as he took a step back, his heels dragging across the blacked-out carpet.
“Sap? Sapnap, what the hell are you doing-”
“It’s all your fault, you fucking whore.” He hissed, his eyes glowing the burning red and orange as he drew his Netherite sword. “You’re the reason I lost him, but I can gain him back… Easily.” He took a stride towards him, swinging the sword down as he stumbled backward, quickly kicking off his crystal heels as he moved around the small stage; blocking Sapnap from him.
“Are you fucking insane?!” He gulped, sneaking around the stage as Sap crept around the other side, snarling as he dragged the sword behind, tearing up the carpet with each step.
“Call me love-struck,” he spat, suddenly jumping across the smaller stage as his eyes grew wide, tumbling back and knocking into the floor as she caught the sword; a scream breaking through his lips as blood slowly leaked from the edge cutting into his palms. “Or love-sick, whichever you prefer.” He snickered, pressing his body weight into the sword as his own palm angled, pressing into the hilt and edge with a crazed look breaking through his Blaze-colored eyes. His dark hair sprouting into flames as he grits his teeth, releasing another scream as she pushes her arms up and into the sword, knocking Sap off and away as he sits up his chest heaving.
“You.. You fucking bitch!” Sapnap suddenly growled, causing him to glance up, his chest rising and falling steadily before a soft gasp left his lips. Sap sat with his side turned into the bottom of the black stone stage, clutching his face. Blood dribbled down from his palm, the steady stream giving a small glimpse into the true damage. His head snapped up, a large slice had broken through the skin of his cheek from his mouth.
His eyes watered at the sight of her brother, fear suddenly prickling along the back of his neck as he moved to press his back against the stage while he began to shake.. The room began to feel warm - no hot.. No boil - boiling. It felt as if the air around him had begun to melt his skin off as the room around him slowly shifted. Bright lava began to ooze from between the ceiling tiles and to break and crack through the carpeted floor as she scrambled to his feet, spinning until the room had shifted into his last home… The sweltering and deathful Nether.
“Sap! Sappy, come back up here!” A gentle voice echoed over the tormenting pops of lava, Y/N’s eyes towards the voices before carefully moving towards them. Peeking over the netherrack, he swallowed a gasp as he recognized himself as a child, and a dark raven-haired boy swimming in the lava below.
“No way, Sparkler! This feels amazing, why don’t you,” he called in a sing-song tone. “Come down here?” The smirk was evident in his voice as Y/N frowned, suddenly feeling anxious as he watched the small boy lean closer to the edge.
“Sappy, you know I can’t swim like you! This is cheating anyway!” The young boy called down to him. The young version of Sapnap scoffed before climbing out of the large lava lake and climbing up the small netherrack hill towards young Y/N.
“Oh, shut it! It’s not cheating when you can easily just come in and get me,”
“I can’t! I’d.. I’d-” his voice trailed as the young boy scoffed, shaking his head free of the sticking lava bits.
“I’d - I’d - I’d - You’d what, Sparkler? You’d be fine!” He laughed as he gutted out his bottom lip, hugging himself despite the sweltering heat surrounding the young siblings.
“Can we please just do something else? I’m tired of playing tag anyway…” He muttered, playing with the burnt edge of his t-shirt, as little Sapnap nodded, moving towards where he had placed his t-shirt and clothes. His little Diamond sword glittering from the falling lava as he picked it up, admiring himself in the blades’ reflection.
“Yeah, why don’t we try your training some more? I know you went easy on that Techno kid..” Sapnap lightly spat as Y/N frowned, tugging out his own diamond sword. Tracing his finger along the edge, meeting his own eyes in the mirroring image. Furrowing his brows as he stared into the reflection, noticing a sudden… Glow to his eyes.
Suddenly, his sword is knocked from his loose grip, nicking his fingertips as it clatters to the cracked floor. Snapping his head up, he growled towards his brother whilst he smirked, holding his blades’ point towards his chest.
“One point for me, bro..” He sang as he scoffed, scooping up the sword as he took a step back readying himself again.
“Not fair, I-”
“All’s fair in war, Sparkler,” Sapnap spoke matter-of-factly, tilting his sword to the side while shooting her a wicked smile.
“This isn’t war, Sappy..” He rolled his eyes as he huffed, launching himself at him. He stepped back, stumbling over a crack before raising his own blade. The sharp metals met together and yelled as Sapnap continued his attack, bashing down on the opposing blade with a sneer. Y/N caught his blade and turned his own away from his body, hooking his and forcing it off of him. He watched as he stumbled back from the sudden force, shock evident on his face as he turned and rushed away as icy fear shot through his veins at his loud huff of annoyance.
“This seems a little,” he paused, spinning towards the left and catching his sword easily. “Excessive, Sap!” He called over the continuous screech of the metals meeting each other; sparks flying as he continued to back away. Y/N kept walking until he glanced back to see the edge of the netherrack hill, the lava lake below them popping and bubbling as he grew wide-eyed.
“Sapnap! Sap, stop the edge-” he suddenly cried out before he felt his sword slice down his arm, effectively cutting through his t-shirt sleeve and his skin in angry backlash, the bright crimson flying out as the blade clashed onto the netherrack. His own sword clatters to the ground, his tired body following as he grasps his injured arm, choking sobs and gasps leaving him as he cradles himself.
Sapnap stood over his shaking body, his grip loosening on the hilt before allowing the sword to clatter by his feet while watching his brother wither. He swallows thickly before stepping towards him, only to stop as he tries to scoot away, despite the edge threatening the promise of falling into the lava below.
“Sap? Y/N/N?” A voice called out as footsteps approached the sibling pair. Sapnap looked towards the area it had come from and he felt dread and fear shoot through his veins as one of their fathers rounded the corner - his bright blue hoodie and jeans standing out from the harsh red tones. “Sap, what happ- Y/n! Baby, what the hell happened?!” He rushed towards the siblings, skidding across the rough floor as he scooped up Y/N’s small, sniffling body as one of his hands dragged his hand away from the wound.
“What happened?” Skeppy hissed as Sapnap gulped, his palms began to sweat as he opened his mouth, eyes watering.
“I… I didn’t mean,” his voice fell as Skeppy huffed, the look of disappointment already spreading across his father’s face. Silent tears dripped down Sapnap’s burning face as Skeppy stood, lifting Y/N’s shuttering body and holding him close to his chest before reaching one with one hand towards Sapnap, tugging him close as they left the swords behind… One blade still covered with blood while the other laid, threatening to tumble off the edge.. Who knew that the swords would soon represent the siblings soon enough..
~~~~
“Y/n?! Y/N!? Mi Amor?!” Quackity’s voice broke through the darkness, Y/N’s eyes fluttered open as Quackity’s thumb brushed over the tears that streaked down his reddening cheek. He suddenly gasped, shooting up from the floor as his fiance dove back, avoiding his sudden action. He curls in on himself, looking wildly around the room before noticing the door open and Sapnap gone.
“Where’s - Where’d he-” Y/N shook, his nails digging themselves into the meat of his calf as Quackity moved forward quickly, grabbing his wrist and gently tugging his hands from their tight grips on him.
“Gone. He’s gone and he’s never allowed back here, especially not after pulling that shit,” he hissed, pressing his forehead against his own. The feel of his hair, beanie, and grip on his wrists helped him slowly calm down, despite the pounding of his heart.
“He’ll never hurt you again, not while I’m here.” He whispered against his hairline before pressing his lips against his warm skin. Y/N allowed his eyes to flutter shut once more, leaning into the gentle yet grounding touch.
“He.. What the fuck happened?” He murmured, just above a whisper as Quackity sighed, gently dropping his wrists and standing, offering his hand to him as he shakingly stood with him.
“I.. I don’t even know,” Big Qs voice trailed as he reached up, rubbing his eyes with his free hand before gently guiding Y/N out of the room. “I was talking to Punz about how weird he’s been acting, and then we heard you scream.. But, we couldn’t get into the room and we didn’t know what was happening, but hearing you scream and just the shouts and threats made my blood boil,”
“Q, my dream, I’m okay now.. Sure, a little banged up and bloody,” he lightly chuckled, leaning into Quackity’s side while showing the irritated and dried-up cuts on his palms; he frowned. “But, I’m alive and that’s thanks to you.” He mumbled, pressing his lips against his, grinning into the kiss as one of his arms wrapped around his waist, keeping him close as someone cleared their throats from behind them. Tilting his head, he shot a grin to Punz as he mirrored the smile.
“What no thanks to the guy who dragged your psychotic brother out?” He huffed, yet the teasing tone gave its way. Y/N chuckled before stepping away from Quackity and towards Punz, gripping his chin and pressing a chaste kiss to his cheek.
“That better, ya big baby?” He teased, a smile crossing both of their faces as Q chuckled, moving to his side as they moved towards the office. A smile still present on his face, however the feeling of dread and anxiety washed over his shoulders as he leaned further into Quackity’s side - him easily accepting it.
Something in his heart and mind told him this wasn’t going to be the last time blood was spilled on this country..
~~~~
Sapnap stumbled as Punz shoved him forward, his knees and palms colliding with gravel. He spun on his knees, blood streaking down his chin and throat, staining his white tee.
“You made a mistake coming here expecting anything but blood to be spilled.” Punz spat, wiping his hand across his dark jeans, the crimson streaking across them. Sap coughed out a laugh, blood and spit splattering onto the sand.
“That’s my brother! That’s my blood and he stole him-”
“He came here looking for him, Sapnap. He chose to live here, to stay here, to leave your ass behind.
Why does he get everything? Why does everything get handed to him while I have to claw and..
Blinking, he revealed his vibrant orange eyes, smirking, “I want him to pay..”

Night fell over the lively country, the neon signs buzzing and the streets were bustling with life, cool air blowing past, knocking strands of hair free as Y/N pressed himself against the railing. Quackity and he had left the casino, escaping to the Space Needle with both their thoughts battling against one another. He sighed, eyes flickering all over their country, able to see the night allow it to breathe its true beauty.
A hand grazed his lower back, causing him to slightly jump before sighing and relaxing into the touch as Quackity came into view. Shedding his blazer, situating it on top of his shoulders with a gentle peck.
“Enjoying the view?” He grinned as he hummed, leaning into his side as he placed an arm around his shoulders, rubbing his thumb across the soft material of his jacket. Big Q side-eyed him, still seeing the dazed and lost look in his eyes before he sighed, turning Y/N towards him. “Are you still worried about Sapnap?”
He couldn’t help but scoff, “I know I acted big and not afraid, but… I know Sapnap. He’s going to do whatever he sets his mind to, so who knows what the hell is going to happen.” He sighed, reaching up and rubbing his eyes, relieving the itch from his glittery make-up.
“Mi Vida.. I know him too, remember? I was engaged to him,” Quackity chuckled, reaching up and brushing his thumb over his cheek. “And who cares what the hell happens? As long as I have you and our country safe, I could care less about what happens.” He smiled, leaning in and pressing their lips tightly together. Y/N couldn’t help but smile into the embrace, brushing his nose against Q’s before reaching up and caressing his cheek, his thumb rubbing across the ridged scar.
“You’re crazy, Quackity,” he shook his head with a small smile as Quackity nodded, reaching into his slacks’ back pocket, pulling out a small velvet box. Y/N’s eyes grew wide at the sight of the box, her brows knitting together.
“I may be crazy, but I’m so lucky to have you. You saved me.” He mumbled, opening the box and revealing the golden band with a glittering Sapphire shimmered as he picked it up, offering it as Y/N nodded slowly. Pressing another kiss to his lips as he melted into it. His thumb brushing over his hip, hugging him closer as if to mold his body around him - to protect him.
“And you saved me, Mi Caballero,” he muttered against his lips before leaning back, seeing the dreamy look on his face.
“Come on, we need to meet everyone downstairs for a meeting. We need to discuss what protocols will be needed to ensure that Las Nevadas continues to stand.” A wide grin split across his face as he backed away, his hand still holding Y/N’s tightly before pressing small butterfly kisses across his now decorated knuckle before retreating back into the needle.
Y/N watched with a glowing smile, his grip tightening around the jacket whilst tugging it closer to him; turning back towards the lively city, he sighed. Quackity would do anything for him, and he would do anything for him. And that’s the scary part. They would give anything and everything up for the other to live carefreely.. And yet their happiness lived with one another, now there was a threat to their paradise.
Straightening his back, turning on his heel, and moving back inside, his face hardening as he moved swiftly towards the stairs. Dropping his hands from clutching the sides of his boyfriend’s jacket, the clicking of his heels against the polished quartz caused a smirk to grace his lips. Stopping a few steps above the floor, his eyes met Quackity and Punz, who held smiles. Punz moved towards him, offering a hand as he nodded, smirking still as Quackity met him halfway. “What’re we waiting for, boys? An invitation?”

His skin began to turn a grey color - rotting, withered almost - while vibrant blue washed over his eyes, and erupted in flames from his fingertips.
Wait till Dad or Papa gets back!” He huffed, gulping as he watched him move his fingers, adjusting to the strength of the flames. A giggle left his lips as he furrowed his brows, why did his look so different? Frowning at the flames, he stood and moved towards him, his orange flames mixing with his as he lightly giggled as the flames danced; it almost felt like light tickles.
He quickly moved towards them, gently taking Y/N’s hand into his as he quickly dropped the flames, feeling embarrassment crawl up his neck.
“Y/N/N, muffin-cake, what was that? When did this start?” Bad asked, carefully as he chewed on his bottom lip before allowing the flames to erupt again from his fingers.
“I… I don’t know. I’ve been able to do it for a little bit, but I never needed to.. Are you upset?” He mumbled the last part as Bad chuckled, wrapping his arms around the small boy with a sigh.
“Of course not, honey! I’m just surprised that you’ve developed something like Sappy!” Bad pressed a soft kiss to his hairline as Sap watched, jumping when a hand landed on his shoulder turning to meet Skeppy, who was grinning up a storm.
He was the cool one before… He was the one who had powers from the Nether, and now he got those too?
Everything began to melt around him, causing him to jump and dodge the large drops of his old childhood house. Sand burst up through the floorboards as he jumped, dodging the floor exploding up, knocking him backward and causing his back to collide with the sand.
“ARE YOU FUCKING INSANE?!” Sapnap screamed towards his brother, standing onto his feet and seeing his body facing him, a blue flame still flickering in his palm. Y/N stood as if he had an injury, favoring his right side. Narrowing his eyes, he summoned his own orange flames with a snarl. “You know this isn’t a fair fight, Y/N!” He shouted towards him, carefully moving through the sand towards him with creased lips. Keeping his flamed hand out ahead of him, in case of him firing another flame ball.
He stopped in front of him, his focus straight ahead yet he flinched at seeing the bright whites of his eyes as he moved around to his left, glaring. Dried blood flaked off of the side of Y/N’s neck and stained his t-shirt, while crimson still dripped down from his fingertips, a gradually growing puddle made him frown.

Karl gasped, sitting up as he woke, clawing at his own throat, feeling his heart pound against his chest like thundering hooves. Turning over, he sighed at the sight of Sapnap asleep next to him, flopping back down into the covers, Karl flicked his tongue over his lips as he squeezed his eyes shut, allowing the tears to streak down his cheeks.
The worst part about being a time traveler are the stories that get spoiled for you.. Especially those who you care about. Dragging one of his shaking hands over his face, he sighed gently as he turned onto his side, curling into Sap’s back finding comfort in the warmth radiating off his skin. Wrapping his arms around Sapnap’s middle, he pressed his nose between his shoulder blades, squeezing his eyes shut as images of Sapnap’s body laid before him - blood and sand coating him.
“Sap..? Sapnap, wake up,” Karl squeezed his sides and arms, causing him to hum and roll over, cradling the brunette close to his chest.
“What Kar,” his voice slurred with sleep, causing a spike of guilt to pierce Karl’s heart as he buried himself into the raven-haired man’s chest, fighting back tears.
“I love you. I love you so much, and I don’t want to lose you, please just leave them alone.. Please, I can’t handle losing you,” he mumbled into his fiancé's chest, clinging to him while Sapnap’s thumb dug circles into Karl’s shoulder, attempting to bring the brunette comfort even while sluggish with sleep. Sapnap could only hum, his mind still plagued with deep sleep before pressing his lips to Karl’s crown, snuggling further into the mop of curls below his chin.
“It’ll be fine, Karl.. Get some sleep.” The raven-haired man sighed, holding his lover closer at the feeling of Karl digging his blunt nails into Sap’s side and back.
Both of their minds are plagued with thoughts of either killing someone they love or watching someone they love die - both know blood will be spilled and their happiness is slowly becoming what could lead to their insanity…
