i'm slowly reinventing the spinning wheel
#i had two one ply yarns i wanted to make into one two ply yarn for strength and thickness and i thought how hard could it be?#things get so tangled. in so many ways. so i started untwisting them by hand#but that was inefficient and felted the fibres in the balls a little bit. so i put them in cups#the cups helped with the felting but were still ineffective so i got a cheap lazy susan (not a lazy kate. we're talking walmart purchases#here) but the cups fell off the lazy susan so i taped them down#now i spin the lazy susan with my foot to untwist the yarn while i ply it by hand and wind it onto my yarn ball winder with my hands#to be clear im having the time of my life this is so brainless and relaxing i can just listen to podcasts or youtube while i do it#yay yippee arts and crafts#eve.txt
