in september after we were almost in a plane crash i overheard the woman traveling alone across the aisle calling her mom to say her phone was about to die and they wouldn't be letting us off the plane anytime soon, and i got to lend her my power bank until we finally got home.

today at the zoo i heard a mom inspecting her kid's skinned knee lamenting that she didn't have a band aid and i got to turn around and offer them one from my backpack.

i love being able to help strangers i love being prepared for adverse situations i love being able to help <3

#i promise i'm not looking for praise or anything i just LOVE having my preparations pay off #even if they're not helping me #also the zoo was awesome and i'm so glad we got a membership we're going to go all the time <3 #personal #about me #also also you do not want to be in a small plane in the middle of a sudden thunderstorm that leads to the pilot aborting the landing #in the dark at night when the nearest airport is a three hour drive away and also in the middle of nowhere #anyway i always hated sharing as a kid but now it's a skill i practice and it's nice!#now i just have to remember to restock my backpack bandaid supply i think i have like one left
