it is so easy to tell if a person is gonna be racist on tumblr dot com, it is honestly my specialty as this point lmao

the venn diagram of people who say shit like "minors can just block adults, it isn't incumbent on me to make sure the internet is safer for the kids in ANY way" and people who are racist as fuck is just a circle

and my reason is that it tells me you see no communal responsibility in making the world a better place for people who are more vulnerable than you. you see only your own safety and wellbeing and frankly comfort at risk by anyone asking you to ever be mindful about the wellbeing of others.

i've never been triggered by seeing the kids have a dni on their blog, even if its obviously not the most effective way to ~~~curate your experience, even if its easier for them to just block people they don't want to deal with. but like... it doesn't offend me to see that. in fact sometimes it's interesting to read them.

and the fact that so many people who say this shit are queer and/or women? like you know how shitty it is to deal with harassment online. you do. we've all experienced it - we definitely experienced it as kids. but i guess you had to navigate it so fuck them kids, right? forget making things better for the next generation, right?
