My modern AU’s SongXiao household is kinda weird and that’s entirely because of Xue Yang. A-Qing is very assuredly Xiao Xingchen’s daughter, and Song Zichen’s by extent since he and Xiao Xingchen are madly in love and married, but then there’s Xue Yang who lives with them and is simultaneously A-Qing’s annoying brother, Xiao Xingchen’s friend(?) who gets spoiled rotten, and Song Zichen’s greatest enemy and rival for Xiao Xingchen’s attention. Also:

Xiao Xingchen: hahaha, Xue Yang, you’re so funny! ^-^

Song Zichen, under his breath: bitch you better hope I don’t catch you when Xingchen’s not home
