#now I think the legends exaggerate and anthropomorphize

One thing I love about Monster Hunter is that a lot of the more powerful monsters have these huge legends about them. Folklore, rumors, all that. And then when you face the beast, they're not entirely false. Yet the exact truth isn't always shown to you either, letting you decide just how much is rumor and just how much is real.
This is especially evident in Fatalis and I think it's fun
#monster hunter#like we know Fatalis will body slam hunters#and we know its parts can seemingly grow after death#and the legends are that it tries to melt hunters out of revenge#and that it can fully regenerate even after being forged into weapons#now I think the legends exaggerate and anthropomorphize#but clearly there's truth to them to a degree#and I like that
