why do I always wind up with AUs in my head where the primary love interest of my character dies a tragic death
I might need to unpack that in myself a little bit, kind of
#squirrel speaks#first it was the durgetash essentially-the-good-place-but-sad AU idea after Karlach's death on the pier#then it was the Ray/Wyll AU that had Dorian cruelly assassinated a couple years prior and my boy a grieving middle-aged widower#now I have one brewing that'd be an Arie/Gorim post-game AU following something i can't yet talk about lest i spoil SOMEONE lol#..... but god i do wish that existed already#reluctant paragon aeducan with no place to go returns to orzammar; finds her best friend and ex-lover there alone#because his surface-born wife can't stand the dark and he can't stand the light#but maybe the crystals shining down from the Stone over Orzammar are a bit like the stars if you squint#DO YOU SEE MY VISION
