Summary: Thirteen years ago, Lan Zhan came to Germany to study classical music and found his first true friend. Ten years ago he returned to Shanghai, heartbroken after a horrifying accident left Wei Ying with life-changing injuries and destroyed their friendship and budding romance. Today, he comes back to Germany - to teach, not to study. But when he and Wei Ying meet again by sheer chance, he realizes he has much to learn after all. (The main story is complete with chapter eight - additional oneshots may be added in the future) Kay's comments: This story is such a delight, because I love modern AUs but I'm so tired of modern AUs set in America. Instead, this story is set in Germany! It's also just a very lovely story that I really enjoyed a lot. There's many parallels to canon and Lexi wrote that the Golden Core transfer inspired this story, since the loss of a Golden Core can be seen as a disability. Wangxian here meet again after ten years apart, both struggling with different things and I really liked how they reconnected and Lan Wangji's POV was just a huge treat. Also a story for fans of Yunmeng Siblings love. Main story is complete, but marked as incomplete. Excerpt: The door opens. “Sorry for the delay I hope you didn’t wait too-” They stare at each other in shock, Lan Zhan and the man at the door. He has long hair, tied back with a crimson red scrunchie. He is wearing dark blue pants and a matching shirt with a stethoscope hanging around his neck. Lan Zhan still knows this face like his own. It has lost something of its adolescent softness over the past ten years but it retained a youthful glow, making the man look more like in his twenties than his early thirties. Doctor Vay is the first one to regain his speech. “Hello, Lan Zhan,” he whispers in Mandarin, looking down at the file lying in his lap and humming with distracted amusement. “Heh. Shawn Lan. I should have known.” Then, he comes in and closes the door behind him. Lan Zhan’s voice has left him. Suddenly he seems to have forgotten each of the languages he knows. His tongue is glued to his teeth and he knows he looks like a fool, standing there with his lips parted.

Kinda a raw deal that being an adult is just more and more times of year being hard for you because of grief, but you kinda just gotta keep moving anyhow.

#Just got out of the brainfog of June's anniversary of my childhood's cat death #and now heading into what I'm finding out are the vivid flashbacks of July and a close relative's death #And November's fucked for like six different reasons at this point #and February isn't that great either #Not really a fan of December or January when it comes to it either for similar reasons #IDK man it's just a lot sometimes especially knowing that this shit's gonna keep piling for the rest of my life too #The solution is obviously not to never care about anything but this shit's heavy sometimes

#this is purely a joke y’all looked amazing #HOWEVER it did give me flashbacks to unsealed paint on fucking EVERY goddamn thing #also I definitely should have worn a wig but I think if something (except like two specific hats) touches my head I will explode #I looked weird with my normal hair but it’s fine it’s fine don’t worry about it #going to a con in November and tbh I may just dye my hair red rather than wear a wig #idk how I would do the black tips impermanently lol I do not actually want to have the fuckass bob in real life #maybe hair wax or something idk #I used that once and it was a sensory hell but if it’s just on the ends maybe it would be okay #the perils of playing dress up I guess man idk #I have some Plans for my next alastor cosplay though (rubbing my gay little hands together)#once I’m not in crisis mode I want to work on it so bad #bc man. I have Ideas.#v excited to do a masquerade al #time to do something overly ambitious babeyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!#got a Definitely Not Questionable deer skull mask a while ago and stripped off all the feathers and beads and stuff #found some extremely cheap restoration grill cloth on ebay that I’m gonna glue onto it #I wanna get some fake Spanish moss or something to drape over the antlers #I have a list of possible designs to make in glitter/sequins to make the mask more masqueradey too #so far it’s mostly just bayou plants that have names that are juuuust close enough to something alastor-related to be funny to me #no one else will get it or find it funny but that’s okay 👍#trying to think of a way to incorporate a kind of jazzy motif without resorting to like. notes and clefs bc that’s a bit on the nose idk #maybe I’m just thinking too hard about this #also thinking of a stylized superhet circuit diagram (or part of it lol)#yes I have 500 ideas no the mask isn’t big enough to accommodate even 5 of them probably #I also have an old burgundy cloak that would be perfecttttt #I think underneath it I will just wear the normal attire to not venture TOO far from canon lol #so like the red shirt with the cross and the black pants and his lil deerprint dress shoes #I gotta fix the bow tie from this last con bc I forgot the middle was red and ended up cutting up a christmas decoration to sew on lmao #I wanna use something satin so it matches the texture of the rest of the tie lol #idk!!!! Hey remember how Monday was a disaster and I spent the whole day resisting the urge to bite someone?

Well, today the radiator in our office burst and I came in to find my desk was waterfront property.

So the week hasn't improved. Still want to bite someone, but today it's the manufacturer of our heating system.

At least I had the good sense to take Friday off.

#personal #thoughts #🍬 post #vent post #I'm trying to work out if I need a fun distraction or if I need to do something cathartic instead #I feel strange in a way I can't quite place. I think I might be having emotional flashbacks #and I'm not like... upset at the moment? but I feel like in a couple of hours I'm gonna be hit with emotions I don't want to deal with #there's a very specific feeling that I can't seem to describe in any normal way which might mean I need to write poetry about it instead #something about summer evenings seems to fuck us up sometimes and it's just occurred to me that I think we write more poems in summer #and I only just noticed this pattern because I think we got to the start of summer last year #and started writing poems about how much the summer fucks us up #the thing is I like summer and I've been looking forward to it but it also comes with this kind of weird nostalgic feeling #and it ends up being really bittersweet #it's like that quote or post or whatever about August giving you some of the most beautiful but bittersweet moments of your life #every so often I'm like ''okay I say we get summer depression and winter depression but we're depressed all the time #so are we really getting special kinds of depression in summer and winter?'' and then I get to like June and November #and I'm like ''oh okay yeah no this is a different feeling to the background level of depression we have''#this fucks us up in new and exciting ways that I don't want to fucking deal with but will do anyway because I don't have a choice

Crash Bandicoot: Warped | Friday, 11.03.2023

On this day in gaming, Crash Bandicoot: Warped was released on this date exactly 25 years ago on the original PlayStation console! Produced by both Sony Computer Entertainment and Universal Interactive Studios and developed by Naughty Dog, the 3rd game in the series introduces time travel to the game's plot, with the addition of playing as Crash's sister, Coco for the very first time. Not to mention that the game itself received critical acclaim for its solid improvements on its audio, gameplay, and graphics compared to the previous two predecessors.

P.S.: although Warped received several new sequels after it came out over the years, it was directly followed by Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time in 2020 as the official (and canon) sequel.

got caught up in details as tends to happen whenever i try to write fic and my best effort at detective work on the timeline of love for love's sake seems to imply that yeowoon and myungha have been dating for.... maybe about a month tops? when they say i love you for the first time and yeowoon wants to make plans to move in together which is. well. i suppose they Are high schoolers

that said there are some blips.... myungha's phone in episode seven says it's october,,,, but they did film in fall 2023 so that's probably just an oopsie. plus whatever's going on with the days thing, plus some minor confusion about final exams / summer vacation timing + yeowoon still in his school uniform for last kiss. its possible im wrong but i dont really think so

#myungha does for sure wake up on may 1st & their ep 8 reunion is for sure august 14th #they go to the beach / myungha's mom's cafe on may 21st #their movie date is on or around june 15th #the stalker subplot is in late june #then its a little.... wibbly.... how long exactly myungha is erased from the timeline for / whats going on in july and early august #but this is my best effort !!#i am going to . ignore most of this for fic purposes i mostly just needed to know when myungha died #spring makes sense based on the clothes in the flashback since everyone's dressed pretty warmly but the leaves are green #so late april/early may seems to fit #rowan chatter #also please dont necessarily expect me to. Finish this #i dont have a solid plan for the fic just a vibe #and i havent finished anything since november. so
