after I beat Psychonauts 2, I decided I wasn't done with fun and whimsical platformers, so I started playing Sackboy: A Big Adventure (knowing full well I've only ever played one LBP game and I never finished it). I'm stunned by the visuals and how nicely Sackboy transitioned from a 2D sidescroller to a 3D platformer. also, I love the use of the controller's speakers, it caught me so off guard I actually giggled when I heard the controller jingle in response to collectibles. this game makes me feel warm and fuzzy and giddy, and I'm eager to get to the end (at the rate I've been finishing games I'd give it a week).

I got tired of this game way too quick. I made it halfway through the second hub and I'm already bored. don't get me wrong, it's a wonderful game, but this as well as the rest of the LBP games fall into the category of games that are a snoozefest in solo mode, and that's ok. some games, like Minecraft and DRG are fine on their own, but if you want a fuller experience it's best to bring a friend or two along. so I'm gonna save up for another controller and see if I can convince my sister to play this with me.
