Loving every moment of life as of late. Don't get me wrong, I have loved life since the day I was born. However until recently, past 3 months-ish I never truly realized that it is possible to love everyday and that it's entirely in my control to choose to have a good day or not. Yes I still have bad moments where I need to snap out of it; however they are becoming less and less and for lack of a more accurate word in my thoughts right now, it feels magical. I used to envy or even mock people who seemed happy all the time. I would think to myself, must be nice or at times attack them in my head with thoughts like"I bet they are faking it". Truth is, it is nice! Truth is you can love your life everyday too! Start with small acknowledgements throughout your day of how wonderful being you is! Be selfish! Choose to be happy! It is a song by Amy Mcdonald....Some of the lyrics are: "I am the spaceman flying high I am the astronaut in the sky Don't worry, I'm okay now I am the light in the dark I am the match; I am the spark  Don't worry, I'm okay now Just dry your eyes, and I'll be there Don't live for anger or despair  Don't worry, I'm okay now I'm okay, I'm okay now" I want it played at my funeral. I decided that before I was diagnosed. It may seem morbid but that is just the way my mind works. So why write about it now? I have my bone scan on Monday and get the results the following Wednesday. In just over a weeks time I will know if there a problem that could indicate bone mets. Just like that, just like before, in a heart beat my world could fall apart. If it is inside me though, it's already here but knowing it will suddenly mean my future will be mapped out. Rounds of reatment forever which won't be as long as I hoped it would be. I'm scared. I'm petrified in fact. I look at my beautiful children and the thought of having to tell them, of having to leave them before they are grown, of not being there for them as they grow up....it breaks my heart. I don't believe in God, I can't pray this away and even if I did why not me? Why someone else's mum, some one else's daughter, someone else's friend? I'm no different, no more worthy to be spared. I can't promise deities that I'll do this or that if only... Due to cancer being just biology and it doesn't care if you are a good person or how much people love you or how young you are. It destroys lives in indiscriminately. If I sound angry it is because I am. Breast cancer, any cancer, is a cruel disease. Breast cancer is not pink or fluffy or trivial. It Is fucking scary. Even if this time I get the all clear this will not be the last time I go through this trauma and it is traumatic. Waiting to hear if you only have a few years to live is traumatic. So please don't tell me to 'think positive' because that won't change the outcome and only serves to minimise the real and justifiable fear I am experiencing. I go over in my head trying to prepare for hearing bad news. I don't think anything can prepare you for it though. I go over what I'll do if it is good news too. Will I cry with relief or be to numb to respond. I know this much that if it is an all clear I'm going to throw myself into building my future. I am going to make it count for all the times I didn't. I'm going to be present in my life and the lives of my kids. I hope I get the chance....
