((On one hand: I want to, (and kind of need to), flesh out my headcanons for Akapos/the Emulans/other species the Emulans would have learned from.  I have a ton of neat ideas and it gives me an excuse to swirl a lot of philosophy and marine biology together.

On the other: I know there’s more canon information about Akapos that may or may not get released.  I know I’ve already said: “screw canon” for a few things but... I’d still like to keep a bedrock of canon information to support my extrapolations.))
