I made a mistake
I made a mistake when I stopped taking cold showers. I don't just mean cold, but ICE cold showers.
Why did I take these freezing cold showers?
Because my panic attacks were out of control. Interestingly enough I had the worst one while taking a hot shower a few years ago.
I had been online searching for ways to reduce the panic attacks. Get rid of it, stop it from happening. I should have kept record of what resulted.
Recently despite eating better and improving upon my health by removing wheat. I doubt it's the gluten. But that's a post for another time...
Something happened
I was having breakouts on my skin the little red bumps showed up even more. They hadn't been clearing up much either btw. Couldn't figure out what. My brain fog...had returned! I was getting really cold again. And of course my nose was runny all over again! And I mean runny every day. Every few minutes. Really annoying and not to mention having to have a napkin or tissue with you constantly. Another thing also was happening. The inflammation was getring worse. Which was also causing a lot of other issues.
I almost fainted at work awhile ago and noticed that I couldn't get a deep breath in.
Which if you do pretty much any type of exercise, meditation and bioenergetics. You know just how important the breath is. Breathing exercises were something i learned and helped me calm down during panic attacks.
My grandpa and me were discussing over the phone yesterday. I mentioned that my nose was running really bad again. And he suggested taking a few cold showers for at least a week. Explaining that this may help clear out my sinuses and clear the lungs out (he used to work with the ambulance btw).
I of course then remembered that most of those symptoms had been gone at that time
When I had been taking cold showers.
So I went ahead and took one. And can I just say how stupid I am that I stopped. Because with just 1 for maybe 10 minutes and the inflammation and red bumps on my arms is going down. I feel more energized than ever and hey even brain fog and much of the other physical nuisances have been clearing up. I can breathe again. Which significantly reduces the possibilty of almost fainting again.
Yeah yeah. Who cares? I'm sharing this because I hope this may be able to help other people. Maybe you have similar symptoms? You could give it a try. There are articles online and possibly even videos listing the health benefits. And there are a lot. Like helping with depression, helps you remain calm and more relaxed during stressful situations and even making your skin and hair smooth and soft.
As I've learned. Inflammation in the body. Chronic inflammation (what I have) gets worse with heat.
However if you're menstruating, try lukewarm water instead until you're done menstruating. Because cold water can make your cramps worse.
Switching to cold then hot periodically can also help.
It's not easy to do so at first, so if you do try it out. Go slow. Even if it's a few seconds. Or even if it takes you a minute to even get the cold water on your skin. Maybe go from cold to hot a few times. Or better yet go out and exercise so that you're heart rate is already faster. This will make it much easier (especially if it's your first attempt).
