Ahh Monday in the silly season and I’m feelin a little like this whale 🙄 always so stressful this time of year when it should be a fun exciting happy time, it’s generally the opposite for most people. The everyday stresses of life become even more stressful 🤯with the pressure of all the things we have to do and all the things we have to buy before the big day. Kinda ruins the excitement of it, people get stressed are on edge and worrying about how much money they have left over after buying a million presents for people they probably don’t need to (yes I’m guilty of this 🤦🏼‍♀️) the pressure gets to us and it leaves us feeling like we can’t wait for Christmas to be over! How sad is that. I myself have definitely lost a bit of my Christmas spirit this year, I feel like not having it, but having kids that can’t happen. So I will have it, and hopefully it surprises me and it’s enjoyable but as you get older things change, family changes and you lose loved ones and it makes it that much harder to make it fun. Saturday - April 16th

Holding auditions with one other person for six hours, and other people dropping in and out, is draining. Especially when trying to get over being sick but you can't because you can't just have one day off, and when you have to see a friend right after auditions because there's no other time to and you've been blowing him off too much.

Day 1...

Dear readers,

Well today has been interesting to say the least. Wrought with personal issues, like a toothache that woke me up in tears. Greed getting off work, stopping at the store for kitty litter, coming home to shower, going back to the store for orajel because I was bawling, coming home to drop off said orajel, and then leaving to take Envy to her post baby six week check up appointment.

I went to work, had to take a break just to cry because the pain of my tooth was so bad it was messing with my emotions too... So I kept feeling this gut wrenching dread twisting my tummy into knots. Luckily, working at home makes it quite easy to take naps on your break. So that’s what I did, and when I woke up, I felt better. a LOT better.

About 20 odd minutes before my workday was over I texted Greed and Envy asking what the plan was and when Greed would be headed back home.

He hadn’t thought about anything past getting her to doc appt and snuggling...

Ya know... We talked about the whol communication thing and already we’re off to kind of a crap start. I figured he’d spend the day there, even figured he wouldn’t be back until I was off work, but he hadn’t even considered when he would come home. Real confidence boost there... But I just shrugged it off, and told him in the future I’d like to know by 30 mins before I get off work. So I can plan my night accordingly.

Envy is the one who told me I should be told 30 mins before end of shift. So yeah. I like her. She even tried to get him to sleep before he came home to avoid him coming home and immediately crashing... Well... That didn’t work...

So here I am writing this blog with him snoring behind me. I am about to go to bed just so I can have snuggles... He goes to work in about 2 and a half hours.

I wish our schedules were more in sync... 

Prolly gonna cry for a minute before going to sleep. This is going to be really fucking hard...

Location, Location, Location

So after procrastinating since the day I purchased my tickets for my flights. I have FINALLY booked my first hostel that I will be staying at when I first arrive into Athens. Who knew it would take me countless times and days to cruise through the hostel world website to finally pick my first hostel. Pella Inn is the lucky winner, through my extravagant search of hostels based on reviews, location and cost. It's about a two minute walk from Monastiraki Square; in the heart of Athens. Prime Location to be for the beginning of my journey. It has close access to the Acropolis, the old Olyimpic Stadium and some popular Museums. Some definite prime features to the hostel as well, such as Wifi, computer access, linens, 24 hour reception (and no curfew), a common room and luggage storage. All for a decent price a night, which is ideal in my situation. Still lots to do before I depart... in two days time. Fingers crossed that all of it is completed by Tuesday evening...
