One of the reasons I enjoy powerlifting so much is that the focus is on the weights, not physical appearance. Don’t get me wrong, I care about how I look (despite my scruffy appearance right now 😅), but I find a greater sense of satisfaction in getting stronger and I really enjoy the technical aspect of lifting.
