I never understood why so much in the fan appreciation of jj is about dt. He's a crucial part of season 1 and yes, he did crush it, but come on. And it's only gotten worse with time imo, now if jj is talked about it's only in the context of how awesome a villain Kilgrave is... it's treated basically as a notch on DT's acting bed post and that's it. And I love dt with my whole heart, but it's not it.

It’s so bleak man. There’s no way for a charming talented white actor to play an irredeemable villain and not have people swoon. Moriarty. Loki. Kilgrave. All incredible actors, all the most annoying fans of all time. I guess Tom Hiddleston did so well they were like “kidding please forget about the genocide stuff. we rewrote the character he’s baby actually!”

But yeah Jessica Jones is especially annoying because how often do you get shows with gritty messy female leads who gets to be complicate and unlikable and yet GOOD. And yet people are clapping for a rapist named Kevin all because David Tennant served too much wet kitten 😫

f9 jj watcher here. thank you for finding me endearing bc i truly have no pride about wanting to fuck the evil man. i went to watch jj for women and feminism and he came out at me with the steel chair and i came out a more resolved feminist, a kilgrave back breaker, and a bisexual trishicca warrior in a time where everyone who tried to ship trishica were called incest shippers. it was wild out there for blond/black haired yuri enjoyers (not only here but also in ouat; swan queen taught me about toxic yuri for single mothers) but i will never forget my roots. thank you.
