wait wait question: wym ghosts and reapers are basically the same thing?

like.. they're both created after a death and they have ~abilities~ and belong to a certain realm, but have a different way of being "born"?

Oh. Yea that is actually a good explanation of why XD but my reasoning is just that. They’re both spirits. The only real difference is that reapers can create a physical body for themselves and ghosts can’t

I know it ain’t obvious with the ghosts I keep drawin but most times reapers and ghosts are very similar in appearance to each other!!

Typically the more traumatic their death is, the less like themselves they look (that’s how you get peeps that look like this)

Just a mass of energy and feeling,,

If they’re left alone and have time to recover a bit, then can start lookin more like themselves again :3

#ask #about my ocs #Dahlia and Thomas are almost always around their families and other living people. so they still look like themselves #Steve and other ghosts that hang more around eachother look different than when they were alive #another thing that helps reapers tell ghosts apart from themselves is the fact that ghosts *take* energy from their surroundings #that’s why they reap em and put them to rest. keep the life cycle going and all that #there’s also reapers that do the same thing to live forever but I digress
