Sure am tired of trans people with screenshots of t/rfs calling us shit like t/i/fs and making plans trying to detransition us, using those to claim we want that kind of shit near us. How do you screenshot t/rfs plans to say and do downright distrusting things to try and trick and detransition transmasc/men and think they are on our side?
Neauseating. Disgusting.
The shit yall say about transmasc/transmen who just want to be fucking listened to is appalling on a good day. But saying we are t/rfs or that their beliefs align with ours is disgusting.
I dont think transwomen are men i dont think they opress me. (They fucking do) I dont think there such thing as gendered socialization or inherent gender/sex behavior. (Which they do) I dont think segragation of the genders and sexes is a good thing. (Which they do) I dont see men as constant predators and women as continuous victims. (Huh wonder if they belive that?) I belive that misogyny is systematic and i believe that androphobia exist only in intersection rhat needs to be seen if we are going to fight both. None of that shit is something they would agree with.
They loose their mind at me for suggesting intersectionality.
Blaming the victims of t/rf harassment is not and will never be okay, and should have never started. Not to any trans person.

i mean, we knew this. but the fact that i’ve seen dozens and dozens of post focusing on queer ppl and telling queer ppl to take care of themselves and queer ppl that it’ll be ok and queer ppl to not kill themselves (which, not saying not to make those posts or that those posts are bad), and not a single, single post* checking in on or showing compassion to Black people, undocumented people and other immigrants, brown people, Muslims, Jews, or other religious minorities — basically, any and all POC in general** — is truly, truly emblematic of what we have known all along: white people fundamentally do not see oppression if it is not happening to them.
*the one or two exceptions were posts i saw before the elections, reminding Black&brown folks to stay safe (bc regardless of outcome, racist hate crimes spike around elections!), and the OPs of those were, predictably, themselves Black or brown.
**QTPOC of course exist. we exist especially at the most dangerous intersections of this violence & horrid effects to our health, mental and physical. but it is frequently clear when ppl make posts like this and consider none of the harm which we are subject to, only that which also affects them.
it does not occur to you to show compassion to us. it does not occur to you to show solidarity with us. it does not occur to you that we are in danger, and have been in far more danger than you, regardless of which color they slap on the white house. it does not occur to you that when you talk about violence against queer people, the vast majority of that violence will fall upon queer and trans POC, especially Black queer people. it does not occur to you that QTPOC exist at all, except when we can be used as a hypothetical argument.
white queer people are white before they are queer. white trans people are white before they are trans. white women are white before they are women. they are disappointed in the status quo only when it stops supporting them. they are aghast and appalled when they are treated like those people. they are shocked and disappointed when suddenly their whiteness no longer insulates them from being treated the way the rest of us are treated. baldwin of course said it first and best:
I think white gay people feel cheated because they were born, in principle, into a society in which they were supposed to be safe. The anomaly of their sexuality puts them in danger, unexpectedly. Their reaction seems to me in direct proportion to the sense of feeling cheated of the advantages which accrue to white people in a white society. There's an element, it has always seemed to me, of bewilderment and complaint.
white queer people, white people in the imperial core, are experiencing a fraction of the dread and violence that everyone else has been subjected to for years. you are afraid, rightfully so. but in your fear and your rage and whatever else, you do not look to those of us who have been fighting this violence for years. you do not offer us compassion and care the way you do with white ppl. you, of course, fall back on your whiteness.
again, none of this is new. we know this. we’ve known this. but it is frustrating nonetheless.
it does not occur to you that we are in danger. that we are dying. that we are being killed. it does not occur to you to to offer us the same hotlines and resources and reassurances and kindness and compassion.
keeping rbs on for now but if people start being weird i’m turning them off. don’t put words in my mouth. don’t say i said something i didn’t. i meant what i said and nothing else.

certain corners of the jayvik shipping community erasing jayce's love for mel and insisting it was never real is frustrating for various reasons
the first (and imo most concerning) is the casual disregarding of mel's character and relationship (a black woman as a primary love interest! something that is unfortunately not as common as it should be!), falling not only into the incredibly common misogynistic fandom tendency to dismiss/demonise women who "get in the way" of mlm ships, but also into the misogynoir of the "disposable black girl" trope - something i implore you to research and consider not only when interacting in fandom spaces but also when critiquing the show itself and its treatment of mel/sky. similar sort of issues come with people dismissing mel's affection for him as manipulation when she's arguably far less manipulative than viktor (gestures @ the whole "he was the person who set jayce on this path the entire time" bombshell), their relationship was always mutually beneficial, and we're shown her perspective multiple times without their relationship ever being portrayed as insincere. how is it not manipulative for jayce to use mel's influence to become a councillor and push heimerdinger out etc, but it's manipulative for mel to make suggestions about the usage of hextech? would you think the same way about these actions if it were viktor doing them?
second of all: insisting that jayce's love for his literal girlfriend must be fake because he's in love with a man feels so oddly strict and binary for such a queer fandom/ship. if paralleling viktor and mel's scenes leads you to interpret his relationship with viktor as romantic, then surely his relationship with mel must still be romantic too for that comparison to make sense? bisexual erasure is especially prevalent when it comes to men and male characters (due to biphobic and misogynistic beliefs about bisexuality being "a women's sexuality" caused by "female promiscuity" or some archaic bullshit like that). insisting that he can only love one and not the other, and then dismissing his affections for mel if you decide he loves viktor, also just reeks to me of the "pick a side" mentality and, again, is weirdly monogamous for such a queer fandom. i realise this may sound like a reach to some people since jayce isn't explicitly canonically bi, but i still think it's a good idea to be cautious about how you have these discussions and any implications they may have, especially if it impacts a real life community that already regularly faces erasure
tl;dr you can be a jayvik liker and also be normal about mel medarda and meljay. please for the love of god be normal about mel medarda and meljay.

sorry not sorry to bring this up again, but
Netflix removed Palestinian movies. They (movie/tv industry) fired Melissa Barr.era, a latina actress that spoke against the genocide. They kept actors from St.ranger Thin.gs even though they openly support the genocide. They cut the scenes of May Cala/mawy, a Palestinian/Egyptian actress from a major movie. Those are the examples of the top of my head. Keeping Assad Zaman's name (a non christian name) out of the press/promotion and now out of the nomination, despite the fact that he had much more screen time than Sam, who will also be the lead the next season (so plenty time for him to shine), is just... not a coincidence.
And I don't think anyone in the US, or the world for that matter, doesn't know about these things happening, if not in the movie/tv industry, but in the world (US support of I.srael for example). So I can't accept that people that don't get (to put it mildly) why people find problematic that Assad is not nominated... don't fully know what's up. Just because some people want to pretend Assad is not a South Asian/Bengali Muslim, but a white Christian American/Brit, it doesn't make it so.

it’s actually incredibly hard to talk about Jewish religious extremism beyond tzionus you’re met with the fact that half the population thinks Jews are basically just inherently evil parasitic bad actors and ultra orthodox people especially are stupid and/or evil for the crime of Looking Different and then the other half believes that ultra orthodoxy couldn’t possibly do anything problematic or religiously extreme cause hey look at least (some) of them aren’t Zionist!

Tumblr media
saying it's "caitlyn stans" and "y'all are fucking sick" directly in the main tags is so grossly and unfairly accusatory. as if whatever this shit you're talking about is coming from more than just a handful of fucking racist, trolling sickos that do this same shit with all sorts of media and online spaces. i'm sick of y'all taking the worst behavior you can find in fandoms and ascribing that to EVERYBODY on the opposite side of whatever fucking anti- BS you're on.
the level of misinterpretation and misunderstanding in this fandom, of not only they story and characters in the show but fellow FANS THEMSELVES, is fucking miserable. you all get pissed off at stupid jokes and edgy troll posts and then project it on the rest of us who simply enjoy a morally gray fictional character because we, unlike an abysmal amount of way too outspoken "fans", actually watched the show with our eyes open instead of paying 0 attention and just taking claims on social media about what happened in the show as fucking gospel.
if you hate a single character/show/fandom SO MUCH over false and exaggerated plot details, why don't you just shut up, stop fucking interacting with it, and find something else you enjoy instead of continuing to be publicly miserable about it.

im being so serious rn, stop fucking whitewashing wooyoung!! his skintone is dark - do you like his actual real self or not? whitewashing idols isn't doing them a favour, it's cruel and it perpetuates the idea that light skin is more attractive and desirable. it treats idols as issues for editors to "fix". the colourism in kpop fandom needs to stop, it's so rampant both in fan photos and news outlet photos :)) im gonna come for your fuckin kneecaps

its genuinely fucking baffling at how prevalent homophobia, transphobia, ableism and racism is in the utmv fandom
the amount of utmv people i see say the most racist shit under posts showing human sans designs people made that dont fit their criteria of “white, short hair, skinny and buff cis dude” is??? literally?? what??? seeing the comments under fishee’s human sans posts is one prime example.
the only thing that has slightly gotten better in the past years were its homophobia and ableism, but its still there. homophobia as “stop making everything shipping/gay!!!” “they’re only friends” and ableism as demonising or infantilising ink. “ink has a lack of empathy so he must be evil!!!! he doesn’t care about his friends at all!!!!” or “ink did nothing wrong, hes just a baby, just a little guy” OR just basic ableism about peoples head-cannons that revolve around mental illness, physical illness, etc (and before you say “i havent seen that!” i literally got laughed at in a hc channel not too long ago for saying “chronically ill geno and classic, they use mobility aids”)
now onto the rampant transphobia, its gotten worse. people just genuinely cant grasp that jakei themselves said that cross is trans-coded. actively denying and saying the post itself is fake even though jakei had most likely gotten backlash from transphobic bigots that try and dictate how jakei should make their characters which ensued them deleting said post. if you’re a person whos doing exactly that, you ARE the problem. let jakei have their well needed break ffs

i might be shot but tbh i think fiction podcasts have an issue with racial representation
#monstrous agonies n travelling light have allegory but allegory is still just allegory#mabel n wolf 359 r the only fucking podcasts ive seen in which where someone is from actually affects them#not to mention how many popular audio dramas are made by white people? might just be my experience idk#and they still seemingly have representation bc the fandom draws the characters as poc even if the actor isnt#which would be completely differentif it was tv or smthn#like ofc ppl can draw whatever they want but theres something to that disconnect that is strange to me#also the penumbra approach of actively avoiding race as a theme in the podcast#magnus in general?? they might be improving a little with protocol but i have not seen people addressing it a lot#and of course the cecil palmer effect#this is in large part due to the audio only medium#but its weird to see a medium praised for queer rep have race almost entirely ignored in favor of setting the world in somewhere w/o racism#maybe its bc so much is set in less irl settings so people feel like its more ok to distance themselves from these issues#but still?? for example hallowoods (havent finished it so dont come at me if this changed later in the podcast)#theres the blatant evangelical christianity allegory and all the transphobia n homophobia is dealt with but not white supremacy?#which seems lacking if its trying to criticize that particular sect of christianity#n malevs complete ignorance of lovecraft#and if youre going to set it in the 1920-1930s america why arent you dealing with the time period#just a rant i havent done deep research into this or anything. dont kill me#podcasts

I think its really cute that Manuel gets the most love from comments! I think he deserves it, because even I have dubbed him as the Best Boy. But, Mani has mixed feelings about receiving praise and being considered the favorite. He’d sooner think people are lying to him than believe they actually like him that much. Because, why would they?
His view of himself comes from years of being stuck in the middle.

since i lowk dgaf abt what people in this fandom think of me for having basic media literacy and logical reasoning atp
i think quite a few of you pretend to be better people by making max's parents "good people" so you can fight off against early fandom's potrayal of white saviour esque dadvid [which isnt even the dynamic in canon, but i digress] but because people doing this were drawing an eye during literature class they just fight racism with more racism.
because tell me why i have seen "max's parents are poor people who cannot speak english" more than once. Why is it so impossible for people to see that max is a neglected child who acts out because he is neglected at home and his parents dont care about him.
Why do you need the writers and artists to establish something which is basically screamed at you by the narrative?
Literally why are you all insanely dense about a child acting mean to others due to the fact that they are neglected at home.
Like just say it dude is it because max is an indian immigrant child who doesnt act like a soft pure victim like you all want him to act like and thus just casual denial of max's canonical neglect is justified. I literally hate some of you people

Imagine the need to put "not m27 compliant" on everything.
"Dear Father, before I post, I disavow any relation to the CANON. Forgive me for I have sinned mortally. I have fallen into apostasy and ruin on the altar of kaishin. I was an unknowing sinner, caught about on the seas of incest for thirty years, but now, with your divine revelation, I have seen the light!
"Now I only ship the holiest and purest of rivals to lovers, that of the unrelated queers, so their incestuous foreign seed shall not bear fruit.
"In the name of the monocle, bowtie, detective badge, and watch. Amen."

I wish Checo wasn't under an NDA with RedBull, I want to know the tea. More articles are coming out that his poor performances weren't his fault. And that he was pointing out the car's flaws and the direction the team was developing in and nobody listened to him. Like it was easier to make him a scapegoat than to take accountability. And it resulted in him unceremoniously getting fired. RedBull should liquidate

they banned ap psych in florida cuz the class ap discusses sexuailty and gender which violates ron desantis' piece of shit dont say gay law so fuck you ron for that
in the college board statement they say it was banned because "teaching foundational content on sexual orientation and gender identity is illegal under state law" which is bullshit because these gov leaders believe anything lgbtq is a brain disease so you'd think theyd keep the brain learning class
they banned ap african american studies because "it lacks educational value and historical accuracy" which is making it easier for them to erase black history that is so intertwined with the history of this country that most everything here is so deeply antiblack
this mf has his head so far up his ass that hes ruining our education system even more than it already was

the way that you’re acting like trumps vetted plans for mass denaturalization is not something scary and real for a lot of people because you think that people should stop moping about themselves while there is a genocide happening in gaza is insane. two things can be true at once and people are acting like it’s the end of the world because for some people, it very well could be. weird mindset from you honestly, i’m not sure if you’re native and you just don’t consider these things or what
where did i say it wasn't scary 😭 you're simply putting words in my mouth and getting upset over something i never even said.
i don't know in what world you really think "moping" is productive but i'm not holding a gun to anyone's head and forcing them to smile. i literally said "do what you have to do and keep it pushing" if you have to take some time to grieve or mourn then do it but don't shut the world out.
it literally is not the end. this is not me being "unrealistic" or "naive" this is me acknowledging the fact that the fight for liberation never ends, it will never be over, it is a continuous fight that we will all be a part of until the end of our lives. i simply don't see the point in my coming online and telling everyone how terrible and horrible it is, they already know, we all already know, but i can at least encourage them not to fall for all the fearmongering and give them something actionable they can do rather than throwing my hands up and falling into a pit of despair.
