The rapid knocking on your window didn't falter even from the stormy weather that the sky was going through. The clock strikes 1:34 am, the light shining on the figure that was trying to get in by your window.
''Let me in... I know 'ya see me...'' The shadow had spikes on top of its head, and a guitar strapped on its back. The voice echoes from your window, only urging you to open the door. The raspiness and toned sound gave you an idea of who it was.
''Holy fuck, Hobie what the hell-'' His body fell on your carpet, limp and covered with bruises and cuts. His suit was busted, the fabric was ripping at the arms and the seams were threatening to open.
''What happened? Speak to me, Hobie.'' You quickly scooped his upper body to lean against your bed frame. You run towards your bathroom to grab a cloth and wet it with warm tap water. Your hands rummage through the cabinets, finding the band-aids and Betadine.
You approach Hobie's wet body on your rug, clearly swinging around the city while it was thundering. Someone didn't check the weather forecast... But you set that thought aside and wiped off the blood pooling on his cheek.
''I'm fine, babe.'' ''Don't call me that.'' Your words only seemed to puncture Hobie's ego rather than his body. ''Why not? Doncha love it?'' Your hands were a lot denser on his skin before he used the corny nickname on you. You and Hobie weren't so 'peachy' after that incident in one of his shows.
''Loosen' up, doll.'' Hobie's hand rests on your cheek, pushing away the stray hair strand from your face. Your hands swat his away and occupied themselves in getting the bandaids and the Betadine. ''Just cause I'm taking care of you now, doesn't solve our relationship, Brown.''
Your sudden call of his last name shot a bullet through his heart. He knew you were tough to crack, but if he had to go on his knees for you to forgive him he gladly would.
''Brown? What happened to 'Bee' or 'Love'-'' ''It died, Hobie.'' You put the last bandaid on his cheek, your face inching closer to his. His breath fanning on your nose and his eyes only piercing through yours.
''You wouldn't be doing this if you didn't love me.'' His words made your hands pinch his ear, a small frown appearing on your face. ''I'm only doing this because we're...'' Your words only faded away from the sudden thought of what you and Hobie were.
You didn't like labels yourself. But Hobie was the only one who could actually play your heart and make a tune. As corny as it sounds, Hobie didn't help the banging of your heart in your ribcage.
His eyes were looking directly at yours, winking at your cute frown. ''Friends?'' You pinched his ear again and rose up from his side. ''Bastard.'' Your words lightened his mood, but the spark remains.
Hobie stands up from your floor and follows your figure in the bathroom. His hand trails across your waist, your two reflections being seen in front of the mirror. Your hands grip the ceramic, letting Hobie corner you between the sink.
''If you didn't love me... You wouldn't let me do this, wouldn't 'ya?'' Hobie's hands slide under your pajamas, his hands pawing at your panties. ''Hobie...'' His free hand makes your way to yours, caging your hand in his.
''Mm, yeah? 'Ya know my name. Say it.'' His fingers set your panties aside, collecting your essence from your slit. A small moan comes out of your mouth. Your hand covers your mouth from spilling any more sound.
'''Bee, parents-' Hobie knew that your parents were in your home. In fact, a part of you thinks he came here for that sole purpose. ''I know, I know. Keep quiet for me, yeah? You can do that for me, can't you?'' You bite your palm once Hobie enters his fingers inside of your cunt, your juices pooling at your panties.
Your moans are muffled by your hand, his thumb toying with your clit. ''You like that, don't 'cha?'' His words enter your right ear, his hot breath tickling the shell of your ear. His cold rings hit your hot skin, and the sudden temperature change gave you goosebumps.
Even due to how odd it sounds, Hobie knew how to toy with your body just right. The way his fingers curl and crook inside of you, the pace of shapes circling on your sensitive clit, him pinching your nipples. He had known your anatomy more than you thought he did.
''Mm, right there?'' He was teasing you, the way your body shook under his touch only proved the impact he had on you. You could only moan for a response, your eyes closed at the knot tightening in your stomach.
Your hands let go of the cold ceramic of the sink, holding Hobie's hands through the fabric of your pajamas. ''Close? I can feel you. Fuck, so tight. Squeezing my fingers.'' Hobie kisses your neck, the cold metal of his piercings only made his sloppy kisses more pleasurable.
He bites the skin of your shoulders, ''Wanna keep me inside of you forever?'' You could only nod your head frantically, your legs close shakily. ''Cum for me.'' His words led you to your orgasm, your sweaty bodies sticking to each other from the heat of the moment.
''You know you love me.'' He grabs your chin and kisses your swollen lips.

“breathe.” yvette says as she pats your back. it was suffocating. the sink was bloodied up, splatters of blood that you had coughed up in a span of 5 minutes. mae runs in with a bottle in her hands.
“here, drink up.” she quickly opens the bottle up and hands it over to you. you took the bottle and quickly drank it.
“why didn’t you tell us it was this bad. we obviously knew that jake was your soulmate but we didn’t think that your body would react this way.” yvette looks at you.
“you’d honestly think that this disease would be a mythical thing but it is very much true.” mae says. you felt the tears fall down your face. yvette wipes them for you. she looks at you with such pity and such care.
“man, fuck that bitch.” she declares. “making such a sexy girl cry? not very girl’s girl coded of her.”
“she doesn’t know. i don’t think jake would tell her. besides, he doesn’t even know i’m his soulmate.”
“well, i think she would find out either ways. she’s such a weirdo.” mae huffs. yvette nods.
“what are you going to do?” yvette asks.
“live with it.”
“but you’re going to cough out blood if you keep seeing them so loving and disgusting.”
“it’s okay. once it gets worse, i’ll just get the surgery.”
“to remove your feelings? (name), you can’t seriously be thinking of doing this.” mae sighs. “i’ve seen people decide to go through with the surgery, they aren’t like themselves. once you do it, there will also be complications in the end. you won’t live for long.”
“there is no other way. if end up dead then so be it. i can’t let jake know. he’s very much in love with aria. he would never love me.” you sobbed. yvette pulls you closer and keeps you in her arms.
“hey hey, let’s not talk about death. you’re alive and well right now. let’s live your life to the fullest and make the best out of it. you aren’t dying.” she mutters. mae grabs your hand and lightly squeezes it.
“yeah, who cares about jake and aria. you have sunghoon, your friends, your brother and us. we are there for you.”
you were thankful for the people who were close to you. you had wiped your tears and nodded. “you’re right.”
there were a series of knocks at the bathroom door. yvette rolls her eyes and opens the door. “we’re having a sentimental moment here.”
“sorry, girls. just checking in to see if (name) is okay.” jay says.
“that or are you already missing mae?” yvette folds her arms. jay awkwardly laughs a little.
“maybe but i’m more concerned for my best friend of course.” you laughed a little and sniffled. you pushed mae forward towards jay.
“take her oh my god. you find out she’s your soulmate and you can’t stop being away from her.”
jay shrugs. sunghoon steps forward and hugs you.
"I'm not dying, hoon."
"just let me hug you. you need it." he says. your smile falters a little. "you can cry, you know?"
"i already cried just now."
"and? you can cry again and I wouldn't judge."
"I know you won't, hoon."
your brother comes up to you. "okay, break it up. can I hug my sister?"
sunghoon lets you go, and leehan easily replaces him. "when did you get so big?"
"I've always been big." he says. you laughed.
"okay, but you're my baby brother."
"yes, i am." you ruffled his hair and he pulls back from the hug.
"let's go back. those two are probably wondering where we are." taesan says.
"the last i saw them they were making out-" *whack* ni-ki winces when sun whacks him.
"don't even mention that." sunoo warns.
"right, sorry noona." ni-ki pouts. you sighed a little.
"it's fine, ni-ki."
you could see jake and aria coming closer to the group. jake was mainly concerned about everyone but aria...she's just kinda following jake.
"hey, why is everyone gathering around here?" jake asks.
"oh, there was a slight mishap so (name) called the girls over. we were worried so we waited outside for them." heeseung explains.
"you could've told us."
"yeah, but you were busy making out with aria so we didn't want to bother the both of you." sunghoon says. there was a petty tone underlying as he tells jake.
"what the fuck is your problem?" jake comes up to sunghoon. sunghoon scoffs.
"nothing."
"nothing? you said that the other time and then you went on a tangent hating on my girlfriend." jake folds his arms.
sunghoon rolls his eyes. "well, I'm right either ways. you were sooooo oblivious and busy with aria that even when (name) got hurt or had an issue you didn't care."
"she's fine now, isn't she? you guys took good care of her. she's in good hands, so i trust you guys to care for her. after all, I'm just her best friend and I am busy with my girlfriend. You don't understand me because you don't have a girlfriend!" jake yells at sunghoon.
you start to cough up again. this time when you look down at your hand, not only was there blood but there was a petal. the first petal to have ever appeared. you had looked up to see everyone staring at you. jake's jaw dropped when he saw the blood in your palms.
you didn't know what else to do other than run away. sunghoon glared at jake once more before he runs after you.
this was moving too fast...
were you dying?

Hello! I’ve once again been wiped out by tonsillitis and the last few days I’ve literally been too tired to look at a screen, rip. But I’m slowly getting back into action and I’m working on something I’m very excited about :)))) So I thought it would be fun to share a lil teaser.
Tumblr media
Nightblooms, Teaser
Warnings: 18+, smut, references to underage and non-con, angst, mentions of war and violence, sex work.
A/n: This fic will contain references to underage and non-con, though not explicitly depicted.
Tumblr media
Men are all the same. They strut into the establishment like peacocks, with an ego that outweighs their purse. They flash a few coins and ask for wine rather than ale, a symptom of refined taste. They run their hands over her body, her waist, her hips and her rear as though she should be grateful for their attention. They tell her uninteresting stories while they drink themselves into a stupor. They convince themselves that it is their charm and decent looks that have her leading them to a bed in a quiet corner of the pleasure house, or falling to her knees and undoing the laces on their breeches. The truth is that she will do what is asked of her, so long as they have gold. It is only motions of the body, and afterwards she can wash it all away.
Until the next night… and then the next… and then the next…
Madam Sylvi has promised her to a Lannister tonight, a man of Lord Tyland’s household, no doubt paid well by the family he serves. He is supposed to be waiting for her but first she must pretty herself for him. She wears a gown of blood red that bares her back and her arms, that will easily fall away with the undoing of a clasp at her neck. She lets her hair fall freely and tints her lips and cheeks with rosewater. Finally she dabs her perfume into her wrists, her neck, on the insides of her ankles, a scent she has worn for years, sweet, rich and floral.
She descends the stairs by the door. At the darkest time of night the pleasure house is alive. Music hums over the laughter, the moans, the cries. The air is thick with the sourness of alcohol and the smell of sweat and sex.
A man with silver hair stands in the entrance hall, Sylvi beside him. They speak with their heads close together, as familiars? As lovers? Sylvi strokes his arm affectionately, with a look glinting in her eye that means she intends to bleed this Targaryen of all the gold he has.
It does not sink in until he looks up, his single eye meetings hers. He wears an eyepatch over his left eye, dark leather obstructing his hair and pale skin.
The eyepatch… it cannot be…
Sylvi had always said men come here to take their pleasure on their own terms. This had not seemed to be the case when last she laid eyes upon Prince Aemond. She had seen them enter, the young Princes, one taller, merrier, with purple wine stains in the corners of his mouth. The other was solemn faced and unsure, ushered into the arms of the madam before she led him upstairs. Sylvi had other patrons to attend to once the deed was done, leaving the burden of caring for the young Prince on her equally young shoulders.
She still remembers him hunched over himself and shivering, the distant look in his eye, as if he was frozen in a single moment of time.
The most she had been offered after her first time was a cup of moon tea and an order to change the sheets for the next patron.
He will not recognise her, surely?
“Her,” the Prince says, “I will have her.”

cookies; dbf!abby anderson
part one part two
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
warnings; almost smut?? - older!abby (refers to herself as mama once), ass + tit grabbing, tiny mention of nipple play, mdni
wc; 1.2k
a soft knock at the front door startles you out of you thoughts. you glances at the time on your phone, realising it was a little too early for your dad to be home. you set down the bowl you were mixing cookie dough in and walk towards the front door, your curiosity piqued. you instantly recognise the tall figure on the opposite side of the frosted glass and your eyes widen slightly, you freeze for a second before gaining the confidence to actually open the door.
you open the door and abby stands there leaning against the doorway, her broad shoulders almost touching each side of the frame. “hey kid….your dad home…?” she asks, looking past you into the rest of the house, as if looking for movement in the house.
“not yet….” you shake your head, feeling a little awkward as you fidget with your hands, pressing your glossy lips together. you stare at her in awe and after what feels like an eternity, you regain your composure and find the courage to speak. “oh…uhm, you wanna come in…?” you step aside a little and swing the door open further to invite her in.
abby steps over the threshold and into the house, wiping her boots off on the doormat. you practically gawk at her, her huge biceps straining against her t-shirt and making your mouth water and you quickly look away once she makes eye contact. abby smirks to herself, following you into the kitchen.
“you’re making cookies….?” she laughs softly as she notices the mess of a kitchen, utensils strews across the counters and dirty dishes filling the sink. you laugh awkwardly and nod as you pick up the wooden spoon again and finish mixing the cookie dough up. “mhm….baking calms me down i guess….”
she smiles and reaches over to take the spoon from your hand, her calloused fingertips brushing against yours. she maintains eye contact as she lifts it up to your mouth. struggling to keep a straight face as she watches your eyes widen, finding your nervousness a little endearing. “cmon….open up sweetheart~“
abby’s playful teasing seems to have an effect on you as you become hyper-aware of every little movement you make, slowly parting your lips and eating the sweet cookie dough from the spoon, trying hard to stay focused as you watch her gaze drop to your lips.
abby looks down at you in amusement, enjoying this little moment of intimacy that you both seem to be sharing. she lets the spoon fall out of her hand and back onto the countertop, landing with a subtle thud. “you just gonna stand there? those cookies won’t bake themselves…” she looks at you seductively as she speaks in a tone that is both sweet but suggestive. it’s clear that she has something else on her mind.
you snap out of your your momentary trance, your eyes refocus on the glass bowl placed before you, filled with the golden, saccharine mixture. having trouble focusing on the task of shaping the dough, abby notices the look of cluelessness on your face and chuckles lightly before leaning closer to you. “here… let mama do it~”
abby takes the bowl of cookie dough from you. she starts to roll up balls of the cookie dough and places them onto the tray. the contrast between her rough hands and the delicate dough is almost mesmerising. as her wrists flex, you find yourself distracted by the thick, pronounced veins that run up the back of her hands all the way to her elbows. they’re thick and bulging, a sight that almost has you drooling. you can’t help but be in awe of her as your eyes are glued onto her the entire time - it makes you curious as to what else she may be able to do with those hands…
once the whole tray is filled up with the even shaped cookies, abby passes you the baking sheet and stands behind you, placing her hands on your elbows and guiding you to slide the sheet of cookies into the awaiting oven, knowing that soon the sweet smell of homemade goodness will fill the kitchen. “atta girl…~”
once its been placed inside, she shuts the door and reaches over to set the timer for you. abby decides to stop teasing you and she walks over to the table and takes a seat in one of the white wooden chairs, keeping her eye on you the whole time as you start to clean the dirty dishes. her eyes begin to wander down to the curve of your ass as you stretch across the sink to grab the dish soap. the clinking sound of dishes being washed echoes in the room, with the occasional splash of soapy water.
you finish up cleaning the dishes and dry off your hands, feeling a sense of accomplishment as you see the sparkling dishes sat on the drying rack. turning away, you jump slightly as abby had somehow snuck up on you without you realising. “oh…! abs, you scared me….” you giggle breathlessly.
abby chuckles playfully as she spins you around and brings you closer to her by placing her arms around your waist. her strong muscular arms completely encircle you, providing you with a sense of complete infatuation as you look up at her dreamily.
“m’sorry sweet girl…~” abby mutters as she gently brushes your hair back from your face, caressing your soft cheek with her thumb. you freeze as you suddenly realize what's about happen and before you can even react, her hands move to cup your face tenderly as she gives you deep and long kisses, your tongues mixing and exploring each others mouths hungrily. her teeth sink into your bottom lip faintly, causing an involuntary whimper to bubble up from your throat.
abby softly and passionately continues to kiss your lips, her rough hands roaming down to your ass and gripping it firmly. she hoists you up effortlessly and places you on the counter, you shiver as your shorts ride up and the backs of your bare thighs make contact with the cold marble.
“abby….mmm fuck….~” you voice comes out as an airy whisper, tilting your head back as she begins to plant wet kisses across your delicate neck. her muscles flexing as she roughly squeezes at your bra-less tits through your shirt. her thumbs expertly caressing your nipples, the friction from the thin cotton causing them to harden even more as you arch your back and whimper in desperation.
abby softly runs her tongue across your neck. her strong tongue continues to explore every part of your neck and her warm breath against your skin causes you to shiver. “good girl….” abby purrs in your ear, her rough voice making you gasp. her hands slowly start to slide down to your ass and start to rub against the juicy flesh.
just then, the oven timer goes off. abby pulls away, a wicked grin on her face. she straightens back up and moves towards the oven, but not before giving you a rough kiss on the lips, her fingers squishing into your cheeks almost painfully.
and so she leaves you there on the counter, your hair dishevelled and your lips still wet from her passionate kisses. you take a moment to gather yourself, panting and feeling a mixture of confusion, desire, and disbelief….and wondering what the fuck just happened.

the deal - part 3/3 (*) [harry styles au]
//
part one, part two
summary: in which harry and claire continue to fight for custody of atlas while also attempting to take steps in their own relationship
word count: 12,756
content warning: custody battle! heavy topics of child neglect, physical/emotional abuse, mentions of drug use, etc. smut!!
___________________________________________
“Claire?” Harry softly asked, waiting outside the door she locked herself into.
His eyes softly closed, forehead resting against the wood as he heard retching and vomiting from the other side. Harry wore a dress shirt and slacks, dressing up for court even if he wasn’t being heard or if the judge would hardly look at him.
But he wanted to be here for Claire, even if she insisted she was fine coming on her own.
Seeing her rush into the restrooms before the hearing even started, was enough proof to Harry that she was most definitely not fine.
“Babe?” He checked again, breathing out the word in defeat as there was silence from the other end. He heard her slightly coughing and then he heard the flushing of the toilet before Claire unlocked the door, wiping her eyes and straightening out her blouse.
Her eyes were rimmed red and the bags underneath them seemed to have darkened a shade. She fixed the clip in her hair while sniffling, “Sorry.” She muttered, walking past Harry and towards the sinks to wash her hands and rinse her mouth a bit.
Harry looked at her through the mirror as he slipped a gentle hand to her lower back, “‘S okay. You don’t have to apologize.”
Even Atlas and Finn had noticed this morning, that something was up. Tensions in the house were at an all time high any time Claire was supposed to head to court and face Evan. It wasn’t the first time, but him and his lawyer always found ways to postpone or buy themselves time.
And in the meantime, Claire and Evan had to stick to what the court told them - which was that Atlas spent at least six hours at his father’s house every other Saturday. Claire always dreaded dropping him off but insisted walking him up to the door. Evan never looked good. He always had a sick, smug smile on his lips. He wasn’t doing this for Atlas, he was just doing it to get a rise out of her.
She remembered crying in Harry’s car the last time because once Claire had hugged Atlas goodbye and he went inside, Evan said to her that he’d do everything he could to stay in control of her life before slamming the door.
After a good cry, it was time to convince Harry to not go knocking on his door and then punch his teeth out. But Harry’s hands had tightly gripped the steering wheel as they drove home in silence, and both him and Claire weren’t themselves in those six hours.
Evenings were then spent with Atlas cuddling up to both of them, even Finn. He regressed to being a little baby on those days, sucking his thumb and needing a soft scalp massage before he requested for Harry to carry him to bed and then Harry and Claire both tucked him in.
He usually had nightmares those nights, but not as bad as the nights before he was supposed to be at Evan’s. Atlas never said much about the time spent at his father’s house, and Claire and Harry didn’t pry.
And so months went on, and here she was again. With fresh hope that the judge would make a conscious decision to cut ties between Atlas and his father. That they could finally see the effect it had on Atlas and that Evan didn’t give a single fuck about his son.
“I love you.” Harry murmured from behind her, finally pulling Claire into his chest and she allowed him. Claire exhaled into his neck, pinching her eyes shut to keep more tears from falling out. Harry’s arms felt like a warm blanket surrounding her, and she was catapulted into memories of comfort and warmth as she leaned against him. And she let herself lean against him - which was almost the biggest challenge of all.
“I love y-you too.” She croaked out, sniffling. Harry kissed her temple, “And I’m so proud of you. Atlas will remember this forever, the way you fought for him. I promise.”
Claire quickly nodded, “Yeah.” She agreed, trying to remember what she was doing this for. Or who she was doing this for. Future Atlas. To give him peace. To know she did everything in her power to make him happy and give him a brighter future.
“We have to go in now,” Harry’s heart sank a bit as he pulled Claire back a bit and cupped her cheeks, “sorry.” He murmured. Claire swallowed and nodded, “Okay. Do you have gum?”
“Yeah.” He patted his pockets and pulled out a packet of gum, “Here. Your breath doesn’t smell, by the way.” He reassured her in a small joke. Claire huffed out a humourless chuckle and popped the gum in her mouth. Lacing their fingers together, Harry and Claire exited the ladies rooms to head to where they were supposed to be.
“There you are.” Timothy - their lawyer - exhaled a breath of relief. He was the new lawyer Claire had been working with ever since she started dating Harry. She only admitted it to herself with pink cheeks, but Timothy was the kind of lawyer she was unable to afford with her own money.
Harry didn’t mind spending his own money on help for Claire or Atlas. They were his family, and no length was too far for him to go to, to ensure their safety and happiness. Besides, he had more money than he could spend after working full-time after Astrid’s departure and hardly having a social life.
Claire’s stubbornness made her reluctant to always accept Harry’s financial help, but it was for the greater good.
“Sorry.” Claire cleared her throat, “I wasn’t feeling too well.”
“Nervous?” Timothy checked and Claire nodded, holding onto Harry’s hand who gave her a gentle squeeze, “Mhm.”
Timothy rested a hand on her shoulder, “We’re doing good, Claire. We have accusations for a lot of things, and Evan is unable to give a decent response to all of them.” He tried to soothe her.
Claire just swallowed thickly and nodded, “Yeah.” She sighed.
The next twenty minutes were pure hell for Claire once more. She went into the courtroom, feeling Harry’s presence behind her as the judge stared at both her and Evan, and their lawyers.
Claire felt fidgety the entire time, but trusted Timothy, who did a splendid job. Of course, Evan and his lawyer played it just as dirty and kept bringing up Claire’s past in drug use and how she was really only back on track ever since being with Harry. How she had to split her attention between Atlas and Finn and how that caused her to not be fully there for their son.
Claire saw red at that and jumped up her feet, briskly turning towards Evan and firing at him, asking him if he even knew Atlas’ birthday.
The judges’ brows had raised high when Evan shamefully spoke out the wrong date.
But, in true Evan-fashion, he did buy himself more time to get his life on track.
A social inquiry.
His lawyer suggested it and the judge blindly agreed. Tears prickled in Claire’s eyes when she realized what it meant. More months of this. More court dates, more conversations, a social worker coming to their house to talk to her, Harry and Atlas.
Just to verify what everyone actually already knew.
Claire felt defeated when Harry drove them home, his hand on her thigh and the music turned down.
“It’s gonna be okay.” He murmured once the engine was turned off and they were in the driveway of the house. Claire turned her head to face him, offering him a faint smile as she nodded, “I know. Thank you.”
Harry felt a bit stupid, unsure of what the right thing to say was. There weren’t really any good things to say to a mother in this position. And Claire was such a damn good mother, she didn’t deserve any of this.
Harry chewed the inside of his cheek, “I love you.” He repeated.
Claire nodded again as her bottom lip wobbled, “I love you too, Harry.”
They stayed in silence in the car for a bit until heading inside. The boys were at school and they had a few hours to themselves. Claire did her usual routine after going to court, changing into gym clothes to go on a long run. Harry on the other hand, threw himself into work.
He sat at his desk, drawing and erasing and drawing and erasing as he got a job to design a new office building for a bank.
He was hunched over, a concentrated frown on his face when Claire walked back in, sweat pearling at her hairline and her eyes still hollow and tired. She panted out after her run, heading into the kitchen for water and to do some stretching.
Harry leaned against the doorpost, watching her as she chugged down water and used the back of her hand to wipe her forehead. She felt his presence behind her and turned around, leaning against the countertop, “Hey.”
“Hey.” Harry exhaled, “Do you - uh… do you want to shower together? Before the boys get home?”
Claire’s stomach dropped a bit. She knew the tone of his voice and she knew what he meant. Harry meant to say they weren’t themselves right now and needed some comfort and closeness within each other to be there for the boys when they came home in a bit. And he was right.
Claire nodded, “That sounds good. Are you finishing up or can we go now?”
“Now is good.” Harry smiled. Him and Claire headed up to their bathroom, stripping themselves of their clothes before hopping into the cabin. Harry took the time in soothing Claire. He washed her hair and soaped her in, hugging her close to his chest and she allowed him to wrap her up and comfort her.
She pushed up her toes to kiss him deeply, expressing her gratitude for his endless patience without using words. Because she didn’t know how. She didn’t know what to say to explain how he made her feel, or what he did for her.
“Claire - wait.” Harry breathed when her hand closed around his semi hard length, gently pumping up and down. She moaned against his lips, “No, let me… i want to.” She reassured him. Harry’s cheeks flushed slightly and he leaned back against the tiled wall, swallowing, “I’m not trying to be a dick.” He defended his erection and Claire nodded in understanding. Harry swallowed again, “‘S just because I’m close to you.”
“I know. It’s okay.” She smiled slightly. Harry didn’t want to ruin the moment. He couldn’t help getting hard when he saw Claire naked with wet drops running down her smooth skin. He knew this wasn’t really the time or place and he hadn’t expected her to act upon it, but she did and she wanted to.
Harry usually got hard whenever they showered together. It didn’t mean at all that it always turned to this. His head thudded back with a small whimper when Claire sunk down to her knees, water cascading down her back as she took him in her mouth. Harry’s hands balled into fists as he panted out, “Shit - babe…” His hand involuntary found the back of her neck, giving a thankful squeeze when she sucked him off.
Claire took him deep, her tongue salaciously running over his shaft and feeling the veins pulsing against her hollowed-out cheeks. She hummed around him, revelling in the feeling of his heavy cock pushing in her throat as she fought her gag-reflex to deepthroat him. Harry whined out, taking a fistful of her hair as he arched slightly and pushed his hips forward to thrust into her mouth.
“Fuck,” He gasped, “fuck - fuck. C’mere - stop, c’mere.” He yanked her hair, making Claire yelp slightly as she popped off of him suddenly. She coughed slightly as Harry helped her up, supporting Claire who felt woozy on her legs.
“Can I?” Harry spoke against her lips, pushing her against the opposite wall while grabbing her thighs to lift her up. Claire hardly had time to nod as her legs locked around his hips and Harry slipped inside of her. He grunted, forehead dropping to her shoulder as he pressed his lips into her collarbone and Claire moaned at the feeling of him inside of her.
Her hand tightly grabbed his wet hair as Harry fucked into her. Slow yet sharp and deep. She loved it when he took her like this - affectionate and loving yet mindblowingly good. They were engulfed by steam, and Claire admired the bulging of Harry’s biceps as he seemingly effortlessly kept her lifted up.
“So good.” Claire squeaked when his tip brushed her g-spot and the coil in her tummy tightened. She brushed his hair away and they breathily kissed as Harry sped up a bit, “Please - cum…” He groaned, “I need you to cum.”
Claire nodded as she bucked her hips back, “Uh-h-huh, almost there.” She panted. Only a minute later, both were panting and spent. Harry’s softening cock pulsed between her walls as he kept her up for a bit until gently letting her down. He slipped out of her and Claire held his arms for a bit of balance before she wrapped her arms around his shoulders and deeply kissed him.
“Love of my life.” She smiled against his lips and Harry chuckled, immediately feeling how much lighter the mood had become. Sex was important to them to feel close to one another. They had to pick their moments, which is why something practical - like showering or cooking - could turn into fucking in no time.
The found ways, knowing how detrimental it was to their relationship to feel the physical comfort of the other. Claire hummed as they kissed and Harry nuzzled his nose with hers while running his hands up and down her naked back, “Are you ovulating?” He whispered.
Claire bit her lip and shook her head, “No - uh… this was just for fun.”
“Right.” Harry chuckled, giving her ass a small pinch, “well, it was definitely fun.”
Four months now they had been trying. Actively. Not like before, not leaving it up to the universe, but really tracking her period and trying. Every month she took a pregnancy test and so far - every month it came back negative.
It was fine, for now. Their spirits weren’t broken down. So much was happening with Atlas and Evan too, that Claire didn’t necessarily mind. She somehow felt like she wouldn’t be able to feel joyous about a pregnancy with everything looming over her head.
And Claire didn’t know this, but it was also the reason Harry hadn’t proposed yet.
When he asked her to marry him, he wanted it to be just them. Him, Claire, Finn and Atlas. No Evan.
He soothed himself with the idea that they had time. They had so much fucking time to spend with one another. A lifetime. And perhaps it was nicer if the boys were a bit older, so they could really be a part of the wedding and give their blessing.
“My sweet,” Harry murmured with a smile on his lips, “I adore you.”
Claire giggled and the sound made Harry’s heart skip ten beats. She kissed his lips once more, “I adore you more. Just not your cum running down my leg. Scoot over a bit, I need the stream.” And playful Claire was back. Harry threw his head back in a laugh when she was back to her witty, sarcastic self.
He loved her like that. She was most herself like that. They waddled back a few steps until the water took care of Harry’s orgasm and then exited the shower.
“Wanna pick up the boys together?” Harry suggested. Claire puckered her lips, “You can go, I’ll get started on dinner. That way I won’t have to be in the kitchen too much tonight.”
Harry fought the amused smile on his lips and exhaled a chuckling breath, “Let’s do it the other way around. You pick them up, I’ll cook.”
“Hey, my cooking is not that bad.”
“No, but mine is better.” Harry stuck out his tongue and Claire playfully swatted his chest, “Ass. I’ll see you in a bit.” She pushed up her toes for a quick kiss. Her hair was wet and laying down her back as she wore jeans and a hoodie. Snatching Harry’s keys off of the table, she unlocked the Tesla to pick up Finn and Atlas.
In the presence of both boys, Claire quickly forgot all about what today had been so far. Atlas and Finn were laughing and joking in the backseat, cracking Claire up at what they all said. They brought out the best in each other and it was incredible to see.
Much like Harry and Claire’s dynamic, Finn tamed Atlas a bit while Atlas brought out Finn’s - hidden - wild side. Finn was the calm and Atlas was the storm. Much like Harry being the calm and Claire being the storm.
“Claire bear, can you help me with my shoes?” Finn lisped a little and Claire fought the rolling of her eyes. She could hear Harry laughing from the kitchen and Claire crouched down to undo his laces, “Finnigan, I love it when you call me Claire bear except that I don’t.” She chuckled. Finn frowned in confusion and Claire’s heart melted at his expression, so she just quickly kissed his forehead, “Never mind. I love you.”
“I love you too, mama.”
Claire melted more. Finn was experimenting with different nicknames for her. Both Harry and Claire had made it clear to him that he was in no way obligated to call her mum. But Finn wanted to. Besides that, Harry also taught him the horrendous Claire bear nickname and she always silently gagged upon hearing it.
Harry thought it was absolutely hilarious.
“That’s my reward for blowing you in the shower?” She hushed the whisper while being with Harry in the kitchen, the boys in the living room. Harry stirred the food and bit his lip to fight his beaming grin. Cocking up an eyebrow, he dipped his head for a chaste kiss, “Your reward was an orgasm, you little brat.”
Claire childishly stuck out her tongue and went through the boys’ backpacks of the day and clearing out their lunchboxes.
Yet Claire dreaded the evening. She wanted to be transparent with Atlas about today and about his father, so while Harry tucked Finn in later that night, she sat on Atlas’ bed.
He was cuddled into his side as they read a book together and eventually Claire closed it, “Can I talk to you?” She ran her fingers through his shaggy blonde hair - which was darkening just a little bit as he aged.
Atlas looked up to her and nodded, “Yes.” Somehow by the tone of her voice and the way she asked him, he sensed what the topic would be.
Claire shifted a bit, nibbling her lip, “I saw your daddy today.”
Atlas’ expression dropped a bit and Claire continued, “You know I see him sometimes, right? In that big building? With the judge?”
“Who’s the judge again?”
“The judge is a very important person who makes very important decisions. Sometimes your daddy and I have to go see the judge. The judge asks us how you are and if you’re happy with mum and happy with dad.” Claire tried to explain.
Atlas nodded slowly, “And what do you say?”
“I tell her you’re happy here.” She shrugged before continuing to play with his hair, “Are you? Happy?”
“Yes.” Atlas smiled, cuddling further into Claire - who already got tears in her eyes. She swallowed thickly, “With me and Finn and daddy Harry?”
“Yes!” Atlas spoke with more enthusiasm and Claire sniffled once before cupping his cheek, “That’s all I want, bubby. You know I’d do everything to make you happy, right? I love you so much. More than anything or anyone.”
Atlas studied her face for a bit, “More than daddy Harry?”
“More than daddy Harry.” Claire nodded without missing a beat. Atlas didn’t seem particularly relieved or alarmed at her answer, but just nodded. Claire took a breath, “And then the judge asks the same question to your daddy. She asks daddy if you’re happy there.”
“And what does he say?” Atlas murmured. Claire kept the wobbling of her lip under control, “Daddy says you’re happy there.”
Atlas frowned, “I’m not.”
“I know.” She whispered. Atlas pressed his lips together, “How long do I still have to go?”
“As long as the judge tells us.” Claire explained and Atlas tilted his head to the side, “But how? I don’t know this juds.”
“Judge.” Claire softly corrected him and Atlas exhaled a breath, “Judge.” He tried to repeat, but it was a difficult word for him to pronounce. Claire’s heart shattered when she was once more reminded of Atlas’ young age. He was supposed to be young and free and careless. But he wasn’t. Instead, he knew his mum and dad were fighting and there were two groups of people who claimed to want the best for him. He knew of the judge. He was too young for this. He had seen too much, heard too much.
Atlas looked at her through big eyes, “How long do I still have to go, mummy?” He repeated in a watery voice, “Why can’t I just stay here with you and daddy Harry and Finn?” He clung to her and Claire hastily wiped her tears, “I know, bub. I know. I love you so much.” She repeated.
“I love you.” Atlas murmured, “I don’t want to go anymore. I don’t like it.”
“I know.” Claire’s voice cracked and she blinked rapidly to keep from crying too much. Pulling Atlas into her chest, her face scrunched up as she silently cried, out of sight for him. “You understand that I’m trying?” She whispered, “Me and daddy Harry are trying so hard for you, to keep you here and safe and happy. With us.”
“I understand.” Atlas nodded.
“Good boy.” Claire kissed the top of his head. She sniffled a few times before taking a breath, “So today daddy and I had to go back to see the judge. And the judge said she’s going to send someone here.”
Atlas didn’t respond, and Claire could imagine him frowning in confusion. She closed her eyes, “Someone is going to come here. A nice person, who just wants to talk to you a little bit. I won’t be there for that.” She gently explained, “They’ll want to sit with you and they’ll ask you a few questions. And you can tell them whatever you want, okay? There’s no need to be scared or to be nervous. They just want to know how you’re doing.”
It was silent for a moment before Atlas spoke, “When?”
“I don’t know yet.” Claire admitted, “It might be a while. Do you have any questions?”
Atlas flicked his eyes up, and Claire saw a range of emotions in them. “Can I sleep in the big bed tonight?”
Claire raised her brows and clearly hesitated, “Y-You want to sleep in the big bed?” She clarified. Atlas quickly nodded, “Mhm. For when I have a nightmare.”
“Bub.” She whispered, rocking him back and forth a little, “But you’re a big boy, aren’t you? Big boys sleep in their own beds.” She tried but Atlas whined a bit and crawled closer into her. Claire felt a fresh wave of tears running down her cheeks and she cleared her throat, “Can you wait just a minute? I’m going to have a chat with daddy Harry first.” She whispered.
Atlas just nodded and cuddled his stuffed animal as Claire quickly turned around and rushed out of the room. She was barely in the hallway when she pressed her hand to her mouth, stifling the deep sob and the feeling of nausea. She could throw up all over again when imagined the fear running through her little boy.
Claire’s legs could hardly keep her up and she slid down the wall next to Atlas’ closed door. Just thinking of him in his bed, clutching his stuffed animal that Harry gave him because he craved comfort so much.
“Hey,” Harry whispered, worry apparent on his face when he hurried over to where Claire was. He just tucked Finn and closed his door after reading him a bedtime story. Harry’s hands cupped Claire’s cheeks, “Babe - what’s wrong?” He urgently whispered, attempting not to alert their boys.
“A-Atlas.” Claire sobbed, feeling the burning in her chest, “I don’t want him to see me like this.”
“Oh - shh.” Harry crooned, “Hey, it’s okay. It’s okay.” He slipped an arm around Claire’s waist and used his might to pull her up to a standing position. She clung to him and Harry smoothed his hand over her hair, “‘S okay, baby.” He shushed softly.
Claire sniffled, “He asked to sleep in our bed.”
“Shit.” Harry murmured and Claire nodded, “Mhm. It’s so bad, Harry.”
He stroked her hair again, “What did you say?”
“Nothing.” Claire whimpered, “Not yet. W-Wanted to talk to you first.”
Harry exhaled, “Babe, if he’s begging to sleep with us… we should let him, right?”
“Mhm. I think so too. But I didn’t want to decide without you.”
Harry nodded, “It’s okay. I’ll go carry him to our bed.”
“Okay.” Claire nodded, wiping her eyes, “I’m gonna just freshen up a bit, don’t want Atlas to see me like this.”
Harry cupped her cheeks and kissed her nose, “Alright. You go ahead, I’ll be right there with him.”
Claire nodded and they parted ways as Harry slowly opened up Atlas’ bedroom door. He sat in his bed like a small boy, clutching his stuffed giraffe that Harry gifted him. The sight was heartbreaking. Harry was slow as he walked up to him, “Hey, bubby. Mum says you’d like to sleep in our bed tonight?”
“Yeah.” Atlas nodded and Harry offered him a small smile, “Okay. Want me to carry you?”
Atlas just lifted up an arm, a silent invitation for Harry to break his back and pick up the seven year-old. Atlas was way too big to be picked up like this, but Harry humored him. He patted his back as he turned down the lights in Atlas’ room and carried him through the hall. He made a quick stop at Finn’s door - not wanting him to feel left out.
Finn wasn’t asleep yet and blinked his eyes open as Harry stood in the doorway, “Hi, bud. Sleepover tonight?” He questioned. Finn frowned, “But it’s not a Friday or Saturday.”
“I know.” Harry nodded, “You don’t have to if you don’t want to. But Atlas is sleeping in the big bed tonight.”
Atlas and Finn shared a look, and Finn nodded, grabbing his own baby blanket before he followed behind Harry and Atlas. Harry was gentle when he laid Atlas down - mostly on Claire’s side. He immediately sunk into the pillow she usually rested on and Finn was exceptionally gentle too.
“They’re both in bed.” Harry murmured as he joined Claire in the bathroom. She was blowing her nose and doing some skincare, nodding, “Finn too?”
“Mhm.” Harry grabbed his toothbrush while looking at Claire in the mirror. She was lost in thought and he decided to leave it at that for tonight.
The family of four all fell asleep in the same bed, with Harry and Claire each cuddling up to their sons to provide them the comfort they apparently craved.
***
Once May rolled in, Claire eventually got the letter. Her heart slammed in her throat when she recognized the letters from court, and she exhaled a slight sigh of relief when it turned out to just be her invitation to go talk to the social worker in regards to the social inquiry.
Claire called immediately to lock in an appointment. The social worker turned out to be a woman named Nancy. She sounded friendly and warm on the phone, immediately soothing Claire’s worries a little bit. Nancy informed her that in that first talk, it was supposed to be just Claire. She felt a bit deflated that she wasn’t allowed to bring Harry - but also understood.
This social inquiry was mostly between her and Evan, surrounding Atlas. They were his biological parents. Harry was a big part of his life, and Nancy assured Claire that she’d eventually also include Harry and talk to him, as she would with Otis and perhaps Finn if he wanted to.
Claire felt relieved that she could go in a few days later, and she gave herself a peptalk in the mirror before driving down to the courthouse to meet with Nancy.
Claire had to admit she was between jobs and had a very free schedule. Ever since being with Harry, she gave up her Burger King-job and did nothing for a while but adapt to their new reality. With the absence of rent and the help of Harry, there were no financial worries for the first time in her life.
Yet Claire grew bored and was on the lookout for something. Maybe something administrative, she wasn’t sure yet. She helped Harry sometimes with his accounting and answered his emails or his calls from time to time. Sometimes she wondered how she did it all those years, being a single parent to Atlas and doing a fulltime job and the household.
Sometimes her days were simply filled doing laundry, going grocery shopping and cleaning the house. Until Evan called her a gold digger and it stung. And she hoped it wouldn’t be used against her in court.
“Ms. Carter?” A woman smiled at her as Claire sat waiting in one of the chairs. She quickly got up and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear before offering her hand, “Yes, I’m Claire.” She breathed.
“Nancy.” The woman nodded, “Nice to meet you. Not too much traffic coming here?” They walked the long hallways together and Claire shook her head, “No, it was okay.”
Nancy smiled, “It’s just through here. You can sit wherever you’d like.”
Claire glanced around the room, which was clearly decorated for conversations with children. It had a small, low table in the corner with kid’s chairs, a ton of toys and stuffed animals and lots of children’s books.
“This is our kid’s space.” Nancy explained, “When we talk to kids, it’s in this room. I booked it for our conversation too because it was the only available room.”
Claire slowly nodded, “I see.” Her lips then curled up into a small smile, “Atlas has this book too.” She pointed to one.
“Really?” Nancy smiled, “It’s usually a big hit.”
“Mhm. He really likes it.” She then shrugged off her coat and took a seat in one of the chairs, fiddling with her fingers.
“Are you nervous?” Nancy checked, a friendly smile on her face. Claire exhaled, “Honestly, yes. A little bit. It’s all quite new and I’m not sure what to expect.”
“That’s understandable.” Nancy nodded, “So I’m a social worker, and I work for the family justice court.” She began, “Sometimes the judge asks us to do a social inquiry in certain cases, when it’s too difficult to make a decision and the judge isn’t sure what’s left or right anymore. That’s where we come in. We take a few steps with both mum and dad, and I’d also like to see Atlas once or twice. We contact the school and such to get a broad view on who Atlas is as a child, mostly in relation to his parents, so that’s you and Evan. And the custody arrangement.”
Claire’s chest clenched a bit and she swallowed before nodding, “So… you decide what happens to Atlas then?”
“I don’t.” Nancy shook her head, “I take these steps and I basically make the puzzle surrounding Atlas. I talk to him and also pull information from literature and investigation, knowing what works best for children his age and what their needs are. Then I write a report to the judge, but the final decision is always with the judge.”
“Right.” Claire slowly nodded.
Nancy shot her a smile, “I’d also like to do a house visit, just to see what Atlas’ environment is. I do these same steps with dad.” She explained.
“Okay.” Claire breathed and Nancy nodded, “So basically what I’ll do with you - and the father - is that we… talk. Mostly about Atlas and how we can get out of the current rut and move forward towards something that best fits him.”
“That’s all I want.” Claire swallowed, nodding, “It’s been so…” She exhaled, “it’s been such a nightmare.” She already felt the lump in her throat and swallowed thickly, “Sorry, I really don’t mean to cry after only a minute.”
“That’s okay.” Nancy encouraged her, “I understand that this is an emotional time. You try to do what’s best for your little boy, I’m sure.”
Claire nodded fiercely, “I-I do. I definitely do.”
“Are you okay with us starting from the beginning? How did you and Evan meet, how long were you together and such?”
And so Claire took a breath and told her story. Not too many details, because Nancy also didn’t ask for those. Just in broad lines how she and Evan met, how they got together, how their relationship went - including all the ups and downs. How Claire got pregnant and told him, and how horrifying that pregnancy was without his support and with her dependance on drugs.
How she eventually got away and how the terrors began. How he hit her, stalked her, threatened her and made her life a living hell for the past seven years.
Claire lit up once Nancy asked her about Atlas. Claire used hand-gestures to describe what kind of child Atlas is and how he’s wild and adventurous, but also so snuggly. She explained how she felt him regress whenever he was around Evan, and how he had nightmares and asked to sleep in her bed.
Nancy nodded along and took notes of everything Claire explained. The conversation turned towards Harry and Finn and their blended family. Claire smiled when she spoke of the bond Harry and Atlas had, and how Nancy would certainly see that if she came to visit them at the house.
“Have you ever considered taking Atlas to therapy?” Nancy questioned curiously. Claire nibbled her lip and slowly shook her head, “I actually haven’t. I mean… I’m not sure if he’d benefit from it. Isn’t he too young?”
“From what you explained, he sounds like a bright young man.” Nancy smiled, “And it’d be a child therapist, of course. Someone who’s trained to work with children, and maybe even specifically surrounding the topic of divorce and living in two seperate houses. Is he a creative kid?”
“Like drawing and stuff?” Claire questioned, “Not really. He is a good talker though. He’s… inquisitive, I’d say. He asks me a lot and often wants Harry to explain things very in depth.”
Nancy nodded, “Did you tell him what you were doing today?”
“No.” Claire shook her head. When I came back from court last time, I explained to him what was going to happen. He asked a few questions and he knows you will come to the house to talk to him. He’s not too nervous, he says. But… well - that night, he asked to sleep in our bed.”
Nancy’s eyes turned sympathetic and Claire lowered her gaze. Silence fell over the room a little bit and Claire eventually took a breath, “I just don’t understand why he keeps getting chances.” She murmured, “He’s disappointed Atlas so many times. He’s never been there for him, or for us. I did it all by myself. I take full responsibility for the way Atlas is today, because Evan didn’t raise him. I-I just don’t get how many mistakes he has to make, or how bad it has to be for something to finally be done.” She ended while shrugging her shoulders.
“I’ve been in hospital a handful of times because of him, in the year and a half alone. Atlas saw it all. That’s… that’s not okay for a seven year old.”
“It’s not.” Nancy agreed.
After nearly two hours, they wrapped it up. Nancy would be in touch after she also managed to speak to Evan to hear his side of the story. Claire had pressed her lips together to keep herself from talking, because she was about to warn Nancy that all he’d say are lies. But of course, Nancy was supposed to be neutral and she couldn’t pick sides - so Claire just kept her mouth shut.
Going home, she sat thinking in the car. Thinking of Atlas, and thinking of the life choices she made. Losing her family and her parent’s support because she was with Evan. She hated him, and she regretted him every single day of her life.
But then she looked at Atlas, and she wouldn’t change it for the world. She’d take the pain times ten if it meant making him happy and carefree. Claire was always overcome with such a pure love, one that she felt like she could hardly explain. She was glad that Harry understood, because he felt the same towards Finn.
And sometimes, Claire took a little step back to realize how fucking lucky she was.
And she didn’t realize it yet, but life was about to get a little luckier.
***
Harry whistled once he locked the car.
His sunglasses sat low on the bridge of his nose and he just couldn’t wait to get inside and change into something more comfortable. Even if it was May, it was insanely warm. He wore slacks for this business meeting with the headhunters of his latest project, but his slacks were as uncomfortable as they could be.
“Babe?” He called out once he opened up the front door. Harry was met with silence but glanced down, seeing the shoes strewn by the front door with the absence of Claire’s favourite slippers.
She only wore them at home, and it was a sign to him that she was home.
He kept whistling the same tune softly, kicking off his own dress shoes before putting his briefcase down on the dining table. Peaking into the kitchen, his face lit up when he saw Claire at the stove.
Her head flicked to the side, a bright smile immediately appearing on her face, “Hey!” She excitedly smiled, and Harry was drawn to her like a magnet. His hands found her hips as he kissed her, humming. The scent of Claire’s famous pancakes entered his nose and he melted into a puddle of comfort.
He was home.
“How was your meeting?” Claire questioned, hair up in a lazy ponytail and wearing one of Harry’s aprons that said chef Styles at the front, embroidered in elegant gold. Harry dipped his finger in the pancake batter, humming, “Quite good. They like my ideas so far. They did want me to rethink the columns though.”
“No, really?! We sat hours thinking about those god damn columns.” Claire complained and Harry chuckled, licking off his finger, “I know. But hey, they pay my bills so… I’ll fuckin’ rethink their columns.”
Claire chuckled at Harry’s cursing - something he really only did when he was done with someone’s shit or when the kids weren’t home.
Her heart hammered in her chest when she kept her back to him, clearing her throat, “Hey - uh… can you get me a spoon?”
“Spoon.” Harry nodded, pushing himself off the counter, “Sure.”
He whistled again, yet it abruptly stopped when he opened up the cutlery drawer.
He saw no spoons, forks or knives. The drawer had been cleared out and instead Harry saw a little dark green romper in the drawer. And a pregnancy test next to it.
“Wh-” He cut himself off with a sharp gasp, tears blurring his eyes when he felt like his heart stopped. His legs wobbled when he felt the sharp rush to his head. He briskly turned around, and Claire’s smile grew when she saw the shock written all over his face.
She sheepishly leaned against the counter behind her, the stove turned off in a break from making pancakes.
“Surprise.” She whispered with a smile.
Harry panted out, as if he had just ran a marathon, “Y-You’re pregnant?” His voice cracked.
“Yes.” Claire giggled and Harry threw his head back, pumping his fists, “You’re pregnant!” He shouted.
“Harry!” Claire giggled as he ran up to her and scooped her up. Claire’s ponytail flew around as he spun her, hands underneath her thighs and smiling into her neck. Harry then sat her down on the countertop, breathing heavily as his eyes watered and his cheeks hurt from smiling, “Please, tell me I’m not dreaming.”
Claire lovingly cupped his cheeks, “You’re not dreaming, my love.” She smiled, “We’re having a baby.”
“Shit.” Harry’s voice broke as he buried his face into her neck, hugging her tightly to his chest. Claire soothed him, understanding the range of emotions running through Harry. They had been wanting this for quite some time.
She played with the hair in the nape of his neck as Harry tried to come to terms with the new information.
He pulled back with watery eyes and Claire giggled, “You’re crying.” She teased and he huffed out a chuckle, “Shut up.” He grabbed the back of her neck to bring her in for a deep kiss. They smiled into one another as Harry touched Claire in every way he could.
“I’m so happy.” He whispered, “You make me so happy. You make me so happy.” He repeated the words, kissing around Claire’s face until she shook with giggles and Harry could hardly breathe anymore.
“How long?” He breathed. Claire nibbled her lip, “Just a few weeks. I’m not sure. I took a few tests today, they all came back positive. I-I couldn’t wait to tell you.” She spoke. She realized they still weren’t a billion percent sure. They hadn’t been to the doctor’s and Claire hadn’t gotten any blood work done. But the six tests she peed on all told her the same answer.
A very clear line that indicated she was pregnant. No more than a couple of weeks.
“I love you.” Harry murmured, “So much. You’re giving me my dream.” He cried more and Claire giggled, making slight fun of him as Harry hid in her neck and held her tightly. Claire couldn’t wipe the bright smile off of her face.
She had been throwing up a few times lately. Claire thought it was stress - but much like every month she decided to take a pregnancy test today. She didn’t even expect it to come out positive. But then there it was.
And now they were here. On cloud nine.
“D-Do we tell the boys?” Harry sniffled, wiping underneath his eyes once he unhooked himself from Claire. She couldn’t even respond before he deeply kissed her. Claire leaned back into the wall as Harry slipped his tongue inside of her mouth, shoving every single emotion he felt into the kiss to leave her dizzy and breathless.
“H-” She tried but he groaned, kissing her again, “I want you.” He panted.
Claire raised her brows, “Wh- now?” She asked in shock. Harry nodded eagerly, “Mhm. We’ve got time right?” He already dragged her to the edge of the countertop to pick her up underneath her thighs again.
“Uh - yeah, like an hour - Harry, wait.” Claire giggled when he carried her up the stairs, the apron still on her body. Claire smiled while Harry kicked open the door of their bedroom and then used his foot to close it again.
Even though he couldn’t wait to make her his and celebrate this moment by being so close to her, he was gentle when laying her down. Claire bit her lip to fight her smile as he seemingly tried to take it slow and easy, but the second he was on top of her and they met in a searing kiss - that all flew out the window.
The apron landed on the floor, quickly followed by their other clothes. Claire could hardly keep up with his pace but every thought she ever had left her brain when she felt his tongue between her thighs.
“Oh…” Claire exhaled, melting into the bedding and tipping her head back with a soft gasp when Harry licked into her. His fingers kept her open and he played with her clit like only he could, keeping his eyes closed as he revelled in her taste.
Claire’s eyes rolled back when he sucked on her, “Harry…” She moaned, “oh my god.” Her hand found his curls, pulling him closer into her as she fought to keep her lips still. Harry’s fingers joined, sinking inside her easily and dragging up her front wall until Claire shuddered and orgasmed.
But if she thought that was the end of it, she was deeply mistaken. After four orgasms total, Claire could hardly keep her eyes open. She laid spent on the bedding with Harry slotted in between her legs, dick inside of her.
He had her in every position imaginable, from rolling her on her tummy and pulling her hips up to take her from behind, to assisting her in riding him and then slipping inside her as they spooned - he always preferred to end in missionary.
Harry hunched over her, breathing into her neck and inhaling her scent as Claire’s pussy pulsed around his aching cock, milking him of everything he could offer her. His thighs trembled as they each came down from their orgasm, and Claire felt tingly and exhausted.
“Sweet girl.” Harry crooned in her ear, “I love you so much.”
Claire hummed and tiredly yawned, “Jesus,” she hummed in satisfaction, “I should get pregnant more often.”
Harry bit his lip and sharply thrusted, his half hard dick scooting up inside of Claire to make her whimper. He squeezed their laced-together fingers, “Any complaints?” He teased and she quickly shook her head, “N-Nope. None at all.”
“Thought so.” He chuckled.
“I love you, baby daddy.” Claire lazily smiled and Harry smiled into her neck, “I still can’t believe we’re finally having a baby.” He lifted up a bit to gaze down at her, and Claire had her eyes closed, softly smiling, “Me neither.” She murmured.
“I’ve wanted this for so long.” Harry stroked his thumb over her cheekbone, “The entire thing is just gonna be amazing. Watching you grow a beautiful bump, going to appointments together, being there with you for birth, watch our boys become big brothers.” He listed and Claire forced her eyes open to see Harry with a dreamy look on his face.
“I can’t wait to tell them.” She smiled and Harry chuckled, “They’re going to be over the moon. Should we - uh… wait until we’ve seen a doctor?”
Claire stifled a yawn, “Yeah, that’s probably a good idea. I’ll call the doctor in a minute.”
“You take a nap first, babe. I’ll pick up the kids.” He offered, kissing the corner of her mouth.
Claire didn’t protest and let Harry clean her up a bit. She giggled when he ducked underneath the sheets to sponge kisses to her tummy and whisper things to a very tiny baby that she couldn’t understand. Claire felt lighter than she had in a long time.
She took a nap and later came down to her entire world sitting at the dining table. Atlas excitedly told her about his day and Finn climbed up on Claire’s thighs to show her some of his spelling homework.
It was about a week later that Nancy came around to talk to Atlas. Claire was a bit of a nervous wreck, keeping herself busy in the kitchen as Atlas sat in his bedroom with Nancy. They hadn’t talked about it much, but Claire tried to reassure Atlas that he could say whatever he wanted and that she was a nice woman.
A small hour later, Nancy came back down the stairs and offered Claire a smile, “You have a bright boy, Claire.” She congratulated her and Claire smiled while exhaling a sigh, “Thank you. Did everything go okay?”
“It did.” She nodded, “I took some notes and I asked him if he’s okay with me sharing whatever he said with you. He said it’s fine, so I’ll write it all in my report and go through it with you the next time we see each other.”
Claire nodded, “Okay. And - uh… is there anything I can do for him right now? Was it… emotional? Does he need something?”
Nancy’s mouth curled up into a small smile and she shook her head, “It wasn’t a very emotional talk. He was nice and polite and we played a little game. He showed me his room and his toys - he’s very proud of that giraffe.” She smiled and Claire chuckled, “Yeah, he is.”
“He said it was a gift from daddy Harry.”
Claire’s insides warmed and she sniffled once, nodding, “Mhm. He gave it to him for his birthday last year.”
“That’s sweet.” Nancy then briefly touched Claire’s arm in comfort, “You don’t have to do anything special for him tonight, Ms. Carter. Atlas is very emotionally mature and I’m sure he’ll show signs or tell you when he feels in distress.”
“Okay. Thank you.” Claire exhaled before she let Nancy out.
And in the week that passed, Claire and Harry got the confirmation from the doctor that she was, in fact, pregnant. Just five weeks. But they couldn’t even keep it in. Harry had already called his parents and Claire had tried with all her might to not let anything slip to Atlas and Finn. They hadn’t noticed anything about her this week, but they’d soon notice she skipped out on different foods or she’d get sick more often, or she’d grow a bump.
Harry was by far most excited about that. The baby was a far dream for now, his current dream was seeing Claire with a beautiful bump.
He touched her stomach all the time even if there was nothing there yet, and he whispered to the baby on most evenings while she was dozing off. It was adorable to see him, and he cried tears of joy more often in the last week than Claire had seen from him in all the time she knew him.
But tonight, they decided they were going to tell the boys.
And Claire felt excited, but also a little nervous. Harry was at another meeting and Claire would pick up Finn this Friday evening. Atlas stayed home due to Nancy coming around.
Claire wore a flowy top and had sunnies on her nose as she waited by the school gate, making the obligatory small talk with Dolores - who mostly asked questions about Harry.
“So, Atlas,” She leaned down to smile brightly at him. He forced a little smile back and Claire fought her giggle as Dolores took a breath, “how come you weren’t in school today? Are you feeling sick?” She raised her hand to place it on his forehead and Atlas backed away, into Claire’s side a little.
It made her heart shatter. Of course she always taught Atlas to not let strangers touch him without him giving consent, but it also went to show that he was scared of a raised hand. She stroked her fingers through his hair and cleared her throat, “No, he wasn’t sick. We just had something to do so we’re just picking up Finn now.”
“Something to do, hm?” Dolores smiled, “Something fun? If it makes you skip out on school?”
Claire rolled her eyes and then heard the bell ringing. Atlas jumped up to greet Finn by the gate and Claire smoothed her hands over her top, “Look, Dolores, please stop putting your nose all up in my business. If I don’t give details, it’s because it’s private.” She sternly spoke.
Dolores’ lips turned into a tight line and she shot Claire a fake smile, “Noted. Have a good weekend.”
“You too.” Claire sighed before her face lit up, “Finn!” She squeaked, the boy eagerly running up to her for a hug, “Hi, Claire bear.” He mumbled and she couldn’t even find it in herself to scold him for it today.
She took his backpack to put in the back of the car, “Are you excited for the weekend?” Claire asked as both boys got in the backseat.
“Yes!” They simultaneously shouted out, making Claire smile. She looked at Finn and Atlas playfully giggling through the rear-view mirror.
“How did it go today?” Finn questioned softly. One glance in the mirror told Claire that his question was directed towards Atlas. She nodded to herself, liking how Finn was there for emotional support for Atlas. They trusted each other through and through and proudly named one another their brother. And besides that, they were best friends.
Atlas shrugged, “It was okay. The lady was nice. She had funny glasses.”
“Really?” Finn smiled and Atlas eagerly nodded, “Mhm. They went like this.” He used his fingers to motion for a cat-eye shaped pair of glasses and Claire chuckled under her breath as Finn gasped in surprise, “Wow! Is she coming back? I wanna see!”
Atlas looked at Claire and she pressed her lips together, “I’m not sure. I don’t think so, honestly. She said you did so good. It might be enough to see you just the one time.”
Atlas proudly beamed at himself and Finn patted his hand, “Hear that? She said you did good!”
“I just answered her questions.” Atlas downplayed. Finn shifted a little, “What kind of questions?”
“About mummy and daddy. And you too. And daddy Harry.” Atlas spoke. Finn nodded as he listened intently. There was a lot of hurt in the car. Some people might find it admirable that Evan at least tried to fight for Atlas. For Finn, it was just Harry. Astrid didn’t even try to see him or know him.
Claire would never understand that choice, but on the other hand it did lead her to her Harry and a lifetime of happiness. Claire slipped her hand to the backseat to squeeze Finn’s calf playfully, “Hey, you know what we’re having for dinner tonight? It was your week to pick.”
Finn gasped excitedly, “Did daddy make enchiladas?!”
He mispronounced the word completely, making Claire crack up but she nodded, “Mhm, he made enchiladas.”
“Yay!” Finn squealed as Claire pulled up on the driveway, her smile growing when she saw Harry’s car parked there too.
“Hi, my three loves.” Harry greeted them playfully with open arms, catching one boy in each as they laughed and wrestled for a bit. He held Finn back just a tad when Claire approached, “Not too rough around mum, Finn.” He warned softly. Finn didn’t think much of it and Harry slipped an arm around Claire’s form, his other hand resting low on her tummy.
Pulling her in for a long kiss, he contently hummed against her lips, “How was today?” He whispered.
“Good.” Claire smiled, “Atlas did good. Nancy is going to give us the full report at the end but she said he was so polite and sweet. So… yeah. And Atlas seems fine so far.” She shrugged, “He hasn’t said anything. Spoke about it to Finn a bit in the car.”
“That’s great.” Harry nodded, “And you? Not too rough this morning?”
“Just some sickness.” Claire shrugged, “But I didn’t throw up.”
Harry helped her put down her bag, “Did you get sick a lot when pregnant with Atlas?”
Claire swallowed thickly as she avoided his gaze, “To be honest, I - uh… I can’t really remember.”
Harry caught on and softly squeezed her hip, “‘S okay. Did you still want to tell them tonight?”
She bit her lip with a smile, “Yeah, I think so. Hey, how was the meeting?”
“Good! I pitched the idea for the new columns and they’re on board.” He shrugged, “So just need to order in the materials now.”
Claire patted his ass, “Good job, daddy.”
He huffed out, shaking his head in disbelief, “Brat.”
“What?” Claire innocently shrugged while taking a glass from the cupboard, “Just calling you by your rightful name.”
He walked up to her with a small smirk, grabbing her throat but not alarming Claire in the slightest. Harry affectionatelly rubbed his nose with hers, “I’m gonna get you back tonight, you know that, right?”
“Counting on it.” She whispered back, pecking his lips in a chaste kiss.
Harry felt a blush on his cheeks when he watched the way she walked away from him, sultrily swaying her hips. He felt so in love he didn’t even know what do with himself. No day with Claire was ever dull.
It was after dinner, when everyone was heading to the couch for a movie, that Claire nervously fiddled her fingers. Finn and Atlas sat waiting with big round eyes, “What’s the surprise?” Atlas frowned in confusion.
“We got something for the both of you.” Harry came walking up with two little bags. Claire forced a smile, knowing it was the corniest gift ever and she had absolutely no say in it. But Harry had a vision in telling the boys, and this was it.
Finn frowned too, “Is it someone’s birthday?”
“It’s not.” Harry chuckled, handing both boys a gift bag but holding up his finger, “It’s very important that you open it together and that you very carefully read what’s on it before asking any questions, okay?”
The boys eagerly nodded yet Finn pouted, “Read?” He repeated, “More reading? I thought school was done.”
Claire sputtered out a laugh at his sarcasm and even Harry found himself amused, knowing that was 100% Claire’s influence rubbing off on him. He shot Finn a look, “Just open it, bub.”
Atlas’ tongue poked out in concentration as he tried to open the ribbon and Harry and Claire shared a look before he took her hand in his and gave a squeeze.
“Slow down, Finn.” Harry softly chuckled, alerting him to wait for Atlas a bit. Eventually both boys got to opening up the bag and Claire held her breath, keeping her eyes on Atlas solemnly as he frowned in confusion, pulling out the shirt in his size and he held it open.
“World’s…” Finn struggled a bit to read the words and Harry clenched his jaw, his surprise not really going how he wanted.
“... best big brother.” Atlas finished, tilting his head to the side. Claire felt tears in her eyes this time as Atlas slowly lowered the shirt with a frown of confusion on his face. He blinked at Claire once before dropping his eyes to her stomach, and Claire’s pulse skyrocketed.
Harry cleared his throat softly, “You’re going to be big brothers. Mum and dad are… uh - having a baby.” He spoke almost nervously.
Finn’s brows raised as his jaw dropped, “A new little bub?” He gasped.
“A new little bub.” Harry chuckled in a nod.
“Baby?” Claire checked, waiting for Atlas’ reaction. He still seemed dumbfounded before he flicked his eyes between Harry and Claire, “We’re getting a little brother?”
“O-Or a sister.” Claire stuttered. Atlas immediately pouted at that, making Harry throw his head back in a laugh.
“Or a brother.” Claire quickly smiled.
Atlas got up his feet and ran up to her. Claire let go of Harry’s hand to catch Atlas, wrapping her arms around his body as he pressed his face to her neck, “Mummy, I’m so happy.” He murmured.
“Oh, thank god.” Claire sighed out, and Harry rubbed his hand over Atlas’ back with a smile.
“How long do we have to wait?!” Finn squealed, joining in on the group hug. Claire sniffled as Harry laughed, “About eight months, buddy. So… around February of next year.”
“That’s long.” Atlas pulled back with a pout, “I’ll be eight by then.”
“You will be.” Claire cupped his cheek lovingly, “You’ll both be.”
Atlas went on to hug Harry as FInn cuddled into Claire, “I love you, mum.” He whispered and Claire cried some more, kissing his cheek repeatedly, “I love you too, angel boy.”
“Now you’re the one crying.” Harry teased as he squeezed the back of Claire’s neck. She breathed out a huffing chuckle, “I’m pregnant, I’m allowed.”
“Yeah, you are.” He smiled.
***
“And then Atlas said that he gets along really well with Finn.” Nancy smiled.
Harry’s hand was on Claire’s thigh and she toyed with his fingers as they sat in Nancy’s office together. Today was their second appointment with Nancy, and basically their last. The next time they saw one another would be right before court, when she would hand out the final reports before their hearing.
Harry smiled at the words, “They do get along really well.”
“Mhm.” Claire agreed, “It’s sweet to see.”
“Atlas said so. He said Finn is his best friend.” She put the papers down, “Overall, Ms. Carter and Mr. Styles, I got to know Atlas as a very respectful and wise young man.”
Claire’s heart warmed and Nancy continued, “It was clear to me that he was genuine and honest, and his truth is that he doesn’t necessarily want any contact with his biological father. He doesn’t miss him when he’s not there and he doesn’t feel too comfortable in the house either.” Nancy then turned around a few of the papers, “I asked Atlas to draw. Both his houses.”
Claire leaned forward as Harry squinted a bit, seeing the stick figures and houses drawn. Nancy pointed to one, “This is where he drew your house. He drew this one first. He went for oranges and yellow-tones for the house itself and drew you both with precision, including color of your hair.”
Claire stared at the drawn version of herself and Nancy tapped her finger on Claire’s stick figure, “He drew you with flowers on your dress.”
“He loves that dress.” Claire smiled softly and Harry squeezed her leg.
“He drew a lot of flowers and hearts around the house itself too. And he drew clouds in his room.” Nancy ran her finger in a circle over where Atlas drew his room, “I asked him why, and he said it means dreams and comfort.”
Claire’s lip wobbled as she forced a smile. Her sweet boy.
Nancy softly cleared her throat, “Then I asked him to draw his father’s house.” Nancy grabbed another paper, and Claire and Harry’s faces immediately fell.
“He used only… grey for this one. No decorations,” Nancy explained, “no colours, no flowers, no… clouds.” She showed the house Atlas drew, “It was also noticeable how in your house, he drew himself as part of the family. When drawing his father’s house, he drew just his father. And he’s not smiling either.”
Claire and Harry didn’t respond much, just stared at the drawings. Nancy put the papers back and clasped her fingers together, “Me and Atlas played a little game after. With cards that have questions on them. I asked him what he likes about mum’s house, and he said he likes it because you’re there. He feels safe and warm, and he said daddy Harry is a very good cook.”
Harry’s lips curled into a grin and he chuckled, almost blushing. Nancy smiled along, “I asked him the same about his father, and he… he didn’t have much to say. He said it’s quite bland. They don’t do much besides watch TV. And he misses swim practice every other week, and he likes to swim.”
“In short,” Nancy breathed, “Atlas doesn’t seem to have much connection to his dad. You’ll read it in the final report, but I of course had all these conversations with the father as well. Just like I asked you, I asked him to describe his son. He… he didn’t say much.” Nancy shrugged.
Claire huffed. It didn’t necessarily surprise her that Evan couldn’t describe Atlas. He wasn’t an attentive person in general and he didn’t know much about Atlas. He didn’t ask things either. Nancy cleared her throat, “For example, he couldn’t tell me Atlas’ favorite color, or his favorite subject in school, or his favorite toy or game.”
“So… I mean, these things are telling, right? Atlas is too young to be heard by the judge, but he literally told you he doesn’t want to see Evan anymore. That means something, right?” Harry questioned.
Nancy nodded, “It does. Of course… a family judge will always try to include both biological parents in the life of a child. Especially a child that can’t make that decision for himself. Atlas is young. Chances are that the judge will give Evan another chance.”
Claire frowned, “Another chance? He’s gotten billions of chances.”
“I’m also allowed to state my advice to the judge. It’s not binding, in the sense that I can’t make the decision but I can steer in a certain direction,” Nancy explained, “and I will definitely advise for an ending of contact between Atlas and Evan.”
Harry and Claire exhaled a sigh of relief and nodded to themselves, “Thank you.” Claire spoke.
And low and behold, a few weeks later, Claire and Harry went back to court to face Evan and hear the judge. Claire was a nervous wreck, and Harry constantly stroked his hand over her tummy. She was now almost three months pregnant and when wearing something extremely tight, the tiniest of bumps showed.
Claire was sure Harry imagined the bump and she had just been slacking with working out since the pregnancy, but Harry was convinced it was there. And he loved on her tiny bump like nothing else.
Today, it was concealed.
Claire wore a sundress as July approached. Harry’s mum was at the house to look after the boys for today, and tomorrow they were heading to camp for a week so Harry and Claire had some time to themselves as well.
To either cry about what was said today, or to celebrate it.
Timothy stood behind them, explaining to the judge what he had read in the social inquiry. Evan looked pissed as fuck because Nancy actually did advise for the contact between him and Atlas to be broken for the time being. Nancy didn’t advise this forever, and the judge repeated how a custody arrangement was something dynamic. Atlas would age and his needs would change, but Claire could only hope that from now on, they’d always respect his decisions and his wishes.
Timothy repeated Nancy’s words, saying that Atlas clearly didn’t have a connection with Evan and that he didn’t ask for it. Evan’s judge argued that Atlas was young and maybe didn’t exactly know what he wanted.
The judge cleared her throat and Harry and Claire held their breaths as she spoke out that Atlas and Evan were not to have contact. Almost a restraining order, so to say. It’d be under evaluation for at least six months, after which there’d probably be a new social inquiry to see how things were.
Evan’s lawyer did get the judge to agree that someone other than Nancy was to conduct the next social inquiry. Claire rolled her eyes at that.
She refused to look at Evan, not even when she felt his gaze burning on the side of her face. When he could clearly see the way Harry gently cradled Claire’s barely there bump. He couldn’t keep his hands off, especially when needing comfort or when wanting to comfort Claire.
“Oh, thank god.” Claire sighed as she turned to Harry, immediately wrapping her arms around him when the decision was final. Atlas was theirs, and he’d never have to go see his dad again unless he wanted to.
Harry exhaled in relief as he kissed the side of Claire’s neck, “You did it.” He whispered, “‘M so proud of you.”
“We did it.” Claire corrected him, pulling back to cup his cheek and plant a kiss to his lips. She felt like a huge weight was lifted off her shoulders. And Harry’s too.
His eyes looked light and energized when he smiled at her, love radiating from him, “Let’s go home to our boys.” He squeezed her fingers as the pair left the courtroom.
That night, the family of four celebrated. Harry’s mum stayed over too, occupying herself with the kids a little while Claire assisted Harry in the kitchen for dinner. She cupped her hand underneath the dripping spoon he let her get a taste off and she hummed, nodding before she licked her lip, “It’s so good, H.”
“Yeah? Does it need anything more?” Harry checked and Claire shook her head, hopping on the countertop, “No, it’s perfect. I don’t understand how you do that.”
Harry chuckled, “What? Make tomato-sauce? It’s so easy.”
“Well, if it’s so easy, I’d be able to do it.” Claire muttered under her breath. Harry walked over to her, splitting her knees as he stood in between them, “Hey,” he chuckled with a slightly teasing tone, “we balance each other out, hm? I’m good at the cooking, you’re good at other stuff.”
She cocked up an eyebrow, “Like what?”
Harry opened his lips and Claire shot him a challenging look, “I swear, if you say cleaning…” She held up a warning finger and Harry laughed before pretending to bite it. He leaned in to press a deep kiss to her lips, “No, m’love. Other things.” His hands slipped up her dress to feel her bare thighs, “So good at so many other things.” He whispered against her lips before Claire wrapped her arms around his shoulders and they were pulled into a deep make-out session.
Tongues tangled together as the food sputtered on the stove. Harry softly groaned as he nipped below her ear, “Can’t wait to fuck you in this kitchen every day next week.”
She breathed out a chuckle, running her fingers through his hair, “Trust me, me neither.” They both loved their boys so incredibly much, but a week with just the two of them sounded incredible. No responsibilities.
“Won’t be able to bend you over though.” Harry murmured, hand slipping to the bulging in her tummy as he gently stroked his fingers over her skin. Claire puffed out a breath, “We’ll do it on the bed then.” She panted, “You can bend me over all you want.”
He chuckled, “Dirty.” His hips rutted forward as they teased each other in the kitchen. The tip of his tongue flicked her bottom lip and Claire fought her shudder as Harry had her in the palm of his hand.
They were in the exact same position just twenty-four hours later. Only now it was just the two of them in the house. And now, Claire’s dress was pulled up over her hips and the straps of her shoulders were tugged down to expose her tits. Harry panted into her mouth as he thrusted inside of her, filling her deep with each thrust.
“Fuck - y’feel so good.” Harry moaned, lifting her thigh a little higher around his hip to get the deeper angle. Claire’s head thudded back into the cabinet, her lips open in laboured breaths while Harry stared at the bounce in her tits from the rhythm he had set.
After sex in the kitchen, they were in a teasing and playful mood. Harry chased Claire through the house for a bit until they ate more of Harry’s heavenly cooking with a candle dancing between them.
“C’mon, let’s go for a walk.” Harry offered Claire his hand and she sighed out, fixing her hair in the clip a little after cleaning up their dishes, “Really? Can’t we just… watch a movie?”
Harry pouted, “Babe, c’mon… it’s such a beautiful night. It’s nice and warm, and the fresh air will do us good before going to sleep.”
Claire was easily persuaded when Harry pouted at her like that, so she put on her slippers and they exited the house for a walk in the summer evening. The sun was down but the crickets were loud and the temperatures were still warm.
Their fingers were laced together as Harry guided them in the direction of a little nearby park. Claire was in the middle of telling an elaborate story about Dolores when she stopped on her tracks, blinking at the sight in front of her.
The one big tree that stood central in the little park, was lit up with lampions. It exuded warmth and Harry gently tugged Claire’s hand, “Come on.” He murmured, pulling her in the direction of the tree.
“H-Harry.” She stuttered, not finding any other words to say as she stumbled behind him a little. His face lit up from the lights as he smiled at her, coming to a stop underneath the tree. The shock on Claire’s face was slightly amusing as she blinked at him, “Did you do this?” She whispered.
“Mhm.” Harry smiled softly before cupping her chin and bringing her in for a kiss, “I wanted it to be perfect.”
“Oh my god.” Claire’s heart slammed in her chest and Harry chuckled at the tone of realization in her voice. He nodded softly and held her hands, “Mhm. You always tell me Atlas can’t keep a secret, hm?”
Claire mindlessly nodded and Harry licked his lip, “Well, he kept this secret real good. Even from Finn. He didn’t tell Finn or you that him and I went on a long walk a few weeks back and that we had a really good conversation. He asked me if I loved you and I said yes. He asked me if I’d love you forever, and I said yes. And then I asked him permission to ask you to marry me.”
“Oh my god.” Claire repeated, her voice sounding watery as tears filled her eyes but she broke out into a wide smile. Harry mirrored it and cleared his throat softly, “So here I am. Almost two years after I first thought I’d like to marry you.” He near mumbled the last part, almost saying it more to himself.
“So, my sweet Claire bear.” He teased with a smile while squeezing her fingers before taking a breath, “You came into my life like a fucking hurricane, but I’ve never felt this free or happy. A-And I can’t believe we’re having a baby together. Being with you feels so freeing, like I’ve known you all my life. And it’s so easy between us too. And then I see you with our boys and everything just clicks. You’re truly the love of my life and there’s no one I’d rather share all my days with.” He spoke.
Claire giggled as she giddily leaned in to kiss him. Harry smiled against her lips, “Will you marry me?” He whispered against her lips.
“Yes!” Claire squeaked, jumping in his arms. Harry caught her easily as they laughed and cuddled and he spun her around. Claire kissed the side of his neck and then his lips, smiling through the kissing, “I love you.” She smiled, “I love you, I love you, I love you.”
“Love you more.” Harry chuckled, patting her ass, “Don’t you wanna see the ring?”
“Oh, right!” Claire laughed, “I almost forgot.”
“Atlas helped me pick it out.” Harry grabbed a small velvet box from his pocket and Claire held her breath when he opened it up, revealing the minimalistic yet elegant ring, with a small diamond. It wasn’t too in your face, but it was there, and it was perfect.
Claire pressed her palm to her chest, “Oh, Harry…” She murmured, “It’s so beautiful, oh my god.”
“D’you like it?” He checked, slightly nervous. Claire couldn’t tear her eyes away from the ring as she nodded, “I love it. Truly. Wow.”
“You make me so happy.” Harry smiled as he wrapped her up again after sliding the ring on her finger. They breathily kissed while mumbling out love affirmations until Claire started waddling them back to the house.
Harry laughed at her eagerness as he gladly allowed Claire to guide him back home for a night of celebrations.

“Don’t be like that.” Anakin scolds, “Ass up.” His large palm sharply smacks onto your backside to perk you up. You yelp, prompt to obey him, arching your back to push your ass into his direction. The motion spreads you, and his eyes feast on your glisten mixed with the speckles of ruby-red. “Your poor cunt,” he tsks, calloused hands swiping onto your folds. It’s too rough for your sensitivity, jolting forward, in which he yanks you back with his hand clamped onto your hip. A chastising squeeze teaches you he didn’t care for your reaction. Since he expressed his interest in fucking you through your period pain, you’d thrown every practical protest at him. Fortunately, they’ve glanced one by one off his toned chest. Unimportant details like your concern for how it smells, and how you should wipe it down beforehand, went completely disregarded. Before he’d manhandled you into position, he’d taken your tampon out with his fucking teeth.
“Be gentle,” you tell him, but it’s more of a plea than a demand. Your cheek against the mattress as you crane your neck to catch a glimpse of him in your peripheral.
“You don’t trust me, angel?” he replies, amused at your apprehension. “Do I not take good care of you?” His eyes won’t tear themselves away from your displayed entrance, saturated and swollen from your menstrual cycle taking its toll.
“I’m hurting,” you squeak, your knuckles against your lips, muffling you.
He hears you anyway, and graces you with feather-light strokes to your folds. “I know, pretty girl, I know.” he coos. “I’ll make it better.” As he speaks, his breath fans over your skin as he closes in. The tip of his tongue grazes you, and when he nears to flatten it against you, his nose brushes your perineum. He laps at you, consuming your mix of fluids and you sit still the best you can, even if the idea of him eating you out while you’re bleeding makes you want to squirm. The fact he clearly doesn’t care eases you, gradually giving yourself to him more and more. You rock back on his face as he dips further into you, his tongue dipping into your raw entrance. A careful thumb seeks out your clit around his chin, soothing it in circles as you begin to keen into the cushion. “You like getting messy?” By the sound of his murmurs against you, he wants to keep you talking, so you nod and confirm, burying your face in your hands after. “I can’t get over the smell of you,” he muses, those pillowy lips working wonders against your sore tissue.
Your pleasure heightens when he plunges into you after he’s taken proper time to loosen you. Even half of his formidable shaft is too painful, yet it’s glorious to be filled at all. That ache in the base of your stomach massaged by the bulbous tip of his cock, acting as a roller for period cramps you can’t reach with a heating pad.
Anakin’s gaze remains on how he sinks in and out of your abused pussy, the way it swallows him up so greedily, and each time he gifts it with a little more. His body weight presses you into the mattress, and you whine incoherently as he fucks into you. Clots stamp his skin, and it spurs him on. Clapping onto your ass cheeks, he uses them as handles as he introduces you to his full length, and you claw into the fabrics for purchase.
“Ani!” you cry out, startled.
“Can’t help it, angel, it’s the pheromones.” he reasons, and bites down onto his lower lip. Your initial shock melts quickly, however, and your eyes roll into the back of your head as he massages you from the inside.

- TW: mentions of bed-rotting and in general just not taking care of yourself well, a bit angsty, but ends with some nice old fluff
Tumblr media
it had been a while since you really got out of bed. the only time you ever really left your bed was to get food, and water. and even with that, your dishes and water bottles began to pile up on your nightstand. you hadn’t taken care of yourself well either, barely showering, barely brushing your teeth. you just had no motivation to do anything.
all you wanted to do was lie there in bed, and rot away from the world. you had been feeling awful for so long, but this was probably the worst it had gotten in a while. you felt useless, tired, and overall just terrible.
obviously, this drastic change in behavior had caught the attention of your partner, sloan. they had become extremely worried about you, especially cause even they weren’t able to get you out of bed much, nor get you to take care of yourself. one day, they opened the door to your bedroom slightly, checking in on you.
“baby..? you doing okay?” they said, eventually allowing themselves in and walking towards your bed.
“…i’m fine sloan, don’t worry about me, okay?” you muttered out from under the covers, wrapping them tightly around you. you didn’t want your partner to worry about you, but you just couldn’t do it. you couldn’t do anything right now. they frowned, knowing that this wasn’t okay. knowing that YOU weren’t okay.
they crawled into your bed from the other side, sitting next to you as they rubbed their hand on your back gently.
“listen, (y/n).. i’m- i’m really not good with saying anything motivating, or moving at all.. but, seeing you like this… it kills me, you know? you mean so much to me. i know how hard this is for you, and i wanna help you so bad.. but i need you to let me… please.” sloans voice broke as they finished talking, gripping onto the covers over your body. they tried to hold back any tears they had. they didn’t want you thinking you had to comfort them right now. your comfort was what was most important to them.
you lifted the covers from your form, sitting up to finally face your partner. tears had welled up in your eyes, your hair disheveled after not having cared for it in a long while. “i’m.. i’m sorry.” you whimpered out, tears falling down your cheeks as you helplessly tried to wipe them away.
sloan immediately scooped you into their lap, keeping you close and warm. “shhh, don’t say you’re sorry, please… its okay, amor, shhh..” they kissed your face gently, wiping your tears away with their thumb.
you both sat there for a while, they let you cry your heart out. something you’ve needed to do for a while now.
after what felt like forever, you lifted yourself away from sloan’s chest, wiping your eyes. they had began to look pink and puffy after all the crying you had done. sloan cupped the side of your face with their hand, gently rubbing your cheek with their thumb.
“lets get out of here for a bit, yeah..? i’ll get you washed up.” they said, as they scooped you up. sliding out of the bed, they walked through your bedroom door and into the bathroom. gently, they sat you on the rim of the sink, placing a gentle kiss on your forehead. they began to rapidly kiss you on every inch of your face, making you giggle. “hehehe! slooooann, stopp!” you laughed out. “theres my happy baby! god, i missed that smile.” they smiled back at you, their adorable chipped tooth showing. a pink blush painted your face, you missed how happy they made you feel.
they walked over to the bath, kneeling down over the tub and running the warm water. they hummed as they got back up, walking back over to you and placing their hands on your sides. “are you okay with me taking your clothes off hun? or do you want to do it yourself?” they asked, making sure you were 100% comfortable and safe right now. “oh, umm… you can, if you want.” you said, looking up at them softly. they returned your soft gaze, a sweet smile on their face. “of course, love.” they replied, beginning to take your clothes off gently.
after they were done removing your clothing, they picked you up, placing you into the warm water that had filled the tub. they turned the faucet off, before beginning to get your hair nice and wet. they then applied soap, gently scrubbing your hair and scalp. the whole time they hummed softly, enjoying every moment of taking care of you like this.
you felt at ease, letting sloan take care of you. you hadn’t had this in so long, and having it after so long made you so, so happy. you melted into their touch, every bit of feeling from their hands making you feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside. you were so grateful to have them in your life, and they were even more grateful to have you.

Tumblr media
you'd been doing better.
♡ the days began to blur by as you repaired your life. work got easier, you started making friends, and you were picking up the pieces.
♡ your new friend Leon was, as always, a constant ray of light in your life. you had progressed into a blooming friendship!
♡ he was always so sweet, even going so far as to bring you gifts.
♡ for your birthday, he even got you a video game you had mentioned wanting off hand; a AAA game that cost 70$. not a cheap price for someone who you met at a bakery.
♡ when he gave it to you, you tried tell him it was too much-but he insisted, saying it was your birthday and that you deserved it.
♡ the thought made your heart jump, but you took the game.
♡ your coworker jokes that he's got a crush on you, and slowly, you're starting believe it.
♡ you'd seen times where you were working in the back, and leon would come in. he'd look around, realise you weren't in sight, and his mood would visibly plummet upon not seeing you.
♡ according to your coworker, he'll even straight up turn around and leave if you aren't working that day.
♡ as weird as it is, you think it's cute.
but recently, you've been having troubles.
♡ your apartment was maybe a five minute walk from your work, truthfully. you often just made the trek to save gas and get some exercise in.
♡ but you've been feeling eyes on you lately.
♡ it's a nagging feeling, and while it's only a five minute walk, you're back into that quiet terror you had back when K was in your life.
♡ you've been checking over your shoulder, hiding pepper spray in your pockets, and staying as alert as possible.
home was just as unnerving.
♡ before, the mourning had left your apartment as a bit of a mess. it was normal and fine, but now that you had work, you found yourself realising just how bad it had gotten.
♡ you made yourself a list of things to do, to chip away at and celebrate each time something was done.
♡ but in the last week or two, that list has been checking itself off.
♡ parts of your apartment has been cleaner. the sink full of dishes washed themselves. your bathroom was wiped down. your bed was made, pillows fluffed and sheets taut. laundry, for the most part, was transferred from washer to drier while you were gone.
♡ 'for the most part' was because some garments were going missing; used towels, your favourite shirt, undergarments.
♡ they turn up again, but it's always some time later and with new stains or portions torn away.
♡ needless to say, you were freaked out.
♡ you had sent a request to get your lock changed to your super, but it was taking just too long.
♡ your paranoia skyrocketed. was it K? was it possible there was a gas leak and you were having memory loss? what was the most reasonable thing that could answer this?
♡ your mind is reeling, and it's been progressively getting worse until one night at work.
♡ you were closing up, and leon was there, keeping you company. was he supposed to be there after close? perhaps not, but he was your friend and he never did anything wrong; just watched you clean up with his head in his hands and a sappy smile.
♡ you had looked out into the windows, and the darkness outside was...so much. it was raining hard, and the night was absolute. anything could happen in a five minute walk. what if K was out there?
♡ you had paused, and leon saw. his voice was soft, kind, as he walked up and held your hand. "is something wrong?", he said.
♡ you told him only a bit about what was going on, the bare minimum so he knew that you didn't feel safe.
♡ his face contorted-shock, fear, worry-but he kept on listening, and he looked so sympathetic to your plight, almost like a kicked puppy.
♡ you then have a great idea. Leon was strong and brave. could he possibly walk you home?
♡ at your asking, Leon lights up. were he a dog, his tail would be wagging.
♡ "I'll be your knight in shining armour," he says. and you believe it.
♡ when you close the shop, he's right behind you, carrying his gym bag in one arm and your umbrella in the other. he takes care to cover you with it, but it's not until you turn that you realise he's already drenched.
♡ he waves it off, joking that it's a shower.
♡ you feel bad, but when you try to insist on sharing it, he tosses you a pout that breaks your heart. damn you, heartthrob!
♡ he keeps on looking around during the walk to your apartment, as though you're about to get jumped at any moment. as strange as it seemed, you appreciated how vigilant he was.
♡ for once, you felt safe. there were no eyes on you besides Leon's careful, kind gaze. this was the most comforted you'd been in...a while.
♡ when you get to your apartment, the rain had doubled down, forcing the two of you to ditch the umbrella and run under the roof of the first floor, laughing as Leon shook the rain off like a dog.
♡ when you finally get to your apartment, your joy dissolves into fear. your stomach churns at the idea that K might be inside, trying to wait out Leon.
♡ you turn to Leon, and before you find it in you to say good night, you look him over.
♡ he looks a little bit like a puppy left out in the rain, in a cardboard box. he's happy to see you, sad that you're leaving, drenched, and giving you big, sad eyes.
let's be honest.
♡ were you going to say good night, giving Leon no reward for his kind act and potentially walking right into your potential stalker's arms?
♡ or were you going to invite him in, getting Leon some food and thanking him as well as hypothetically warding off K?
♡ when you asked him to come in, he practically did a jig. was he really that excited to see the inside of your apartment?
♡ he's a polite guest, which isn't surprising. he took off his shoes, set his bag by the door, and tried to dry off the best he could before sitting on your couch.
♡ you began digging around, trying to see what you had that would be moderately okay for a guest to eat, silently grateful that your home had been cleaning itself up.
♡ you turn every now and then to speak with Leon, and each time, he moves a step closer to you, giving you the most devoted look.
♡ it makes your heart pound, but you can't let it distract you.
♡ you finally give up, electing to order a pizza of Leon's choice, which ends up being your choice when he tells you to order your favourite.
♡ "I wanna know more about you!", he says.
♡ you pay for it, since he helped you, but he tries to help pay. when you refuse, he makes a small noise of what was presumably discontent, but he lets it go.
♡ while you're waiting for the pizza, you begin to confess your concerns with your home, about the cleaning and how items seem to be shuffling about of their own will.
♡ Leon's first guess, much like yours, was a gas leak. but he agrees, after a moment, that you should change your locks anyway.
♡ the conversation changed direction multiple times, going with the flow. Leon was a great listener, and every time you list something you like or hate, you can see him filing it away in his head.
♡ the rain gets harder, and the night gets longer.
♡ the pizza was delivered, and you two begin eating when-unceremoniously and without warning-the power went out. you could see off in the distance it wasn't just your apartment complex; it was a sizable chunk of the block you were on.
♡ there was a beat of silence between the two of you as you realised what happened.
♡ you got up to light some candles as Leon ran over to the door, fishing out a flashlight he had on him, for whatever reason.
♡ he passed it off to you, with a small frown. "I guess that's my cue to go," he said. his voice was low, upset at having your time together cut short. he was still a little wet, and it just made him look...a bit pathetic, to be honest.
♡ as you began to ask him if he was going to be okay in the rain, he mentioned that he lived thirty minutes from his gym, which was ten minutes from the bakery, which was five minutes from your apartment...
♡ which meant a miserable fifteen minutes spent in the rain and another 30 spent being cold and wet in the car.
no, you insisted-he could stay the night, if he wanted to wait out the rain.
♡ over the course of the night, you've come to realise a handful of things. one, Leon was sweet. two, he also got excited over what seemed to be the littlest things.
♡ his jaw dropped when you offered him to stay, eyes wide and cheeks flushed. it was as though you'd fulfilled his biggest wish and had ultimately become his saviour.
♡ you gave him some clothes to change into that once belonged to your brother-it's not like he'd wear them anymore-and instructed him to the bathroom.
♡ he found it in record time as you yourself got changed, ready to go to bed and wait out the power outage.
♡ when he stepped out, he had evidently dried down his hair with a towel that had been hanging in your bathroom, and looked at you with big eyes. he had also evidently decided to sleep on the couch, using a blanket from his bag (which you've decided to call his wonderbag, considering everything he pulls from it).
♡ you gave him two more, just to make sure he was comfortable, before wishing him good night.
♡ all was well. you were safe, you were home, and you could sleep.
♡ it wasn't until maybe two or three in the morning that you woke up to a nigh horrifying sight.
Leon was standing at the foot of your bed, staring at you.
♡ you let out a bit of a gasp, still too sleepy to realise really how strange it was. you asked him what he was doing, and his voice...how small it felt.
♡ "I thought you were gone."
♡ your heart breaks. god, Leon really was whipped. if even you could tell at that point, then it must've been some cupid-arrow shenanigans that got him this bad.
♡ in your haze, you just want to go back to sleep. so you pat the empty side of your bed, rolling over and shoving your head into your pillow.
♡ leon takes a second. he registers.
♡ "Do you want me to...sleep with you?"
♡ his awe is palpable. he asks twice, then thrice, each time with you answering with a nod until you ultimately just repeat him in your own voice.
♡ he climbs in and you realise he'd be trailing the blankets you gave him behind him, pulling them over the both of you when he got into the bed.
♡ there's a moment or two where he's just staring at you again, and you open your eyes with a soft smile. you tell him to get to bed.
♡ and you shut your eyes, sure that wherever K was, they were far, far away.
♡ ...did Leon just get closer?

Hii, since you asked for some Sam requests, I throught about this.
What about something where reader (female if possible) is a werewolf and it's like full moon, and she's super insecure because she doesn't want to hurt him but he stays with her during the transformation? And it's just super fluffy before and after? Also, It would be great if It was season 1 Sam :3
Thank you in advance, don't worry if you can't or don't want to do this request^^
Have a good day/night <3

Sam Winchester x werewolf!plus size reader
You have a deadly secret that you’ve been keeping for almost 12 years but when Sam Winchester blows back into your life, he proves to you that it’s ok to need someone else to help with the burden
Warnings: angst, self-loathing, fear, brief references to a werewolf’s diet, self-harm in the form of using silver against herself, fluff, almost confession, I made her a little more of a traditional werewolf cause I can, brief mention of dead parents, Dean really wants to be Sammy’s wingman

Your eyes darted to the clock above the kitchen sink as you sliced off yet another piece of pie for the ravenous hunter in your living room. There was just about an hour left till sunset- only an hour until the full moon would breach the horizon and you would be swallowed up by the monster that lived in your chest.
Even now, you could feel her flexing her claws and pushing against the walls of your mind. She wanted out and she would do anything to be free.
You squeezed your eyes shut, forcing back the sting of tears as you took a deep breath and left the solitude of your small kitchen.
Sam and Dean, the sons of the man that saved you from a werewolf pack 12 years ago. John made it a habit to check in on you every once in a while but after he went missing, Dean decided that he should take on that responsibility. So as you were preparing to weather out another full moon chained up in the basement beneath your isolated farmhouse, the younger two Winchesters appeared on your doorstep, inviting themselves in.
You knew you had to get them out, no one knew your secret and if they found out, you were sure that a silver bullet to the heart was in your future.
“It’s gettin kinda late don’t you think?” You desperately tried to keep your voice level but the flash of hazel told you that you weren’t doing a very good job. You handed Dean his third slice of pie while vehemently ignoring Sam’s gaze.
He had always known how to read your body language, even when you were both 10. “I thought you liked having us here sweetheart.” Dean attempted to croon but instead spat pie chucks across your coffee table. You shot him a look and he sheepishly wiped it up with his shirt sleeve
“I’ve got jobs I have to do early tomorrow and if you haven’t noticed, I don’t exactly have the space to house two hunters.” Dean paused mid-bite and cleared his throat before a devious smirk grew over his lips.
“Well I guess not but you certainly have room for one.” Before you could comprehend what the older boy was implying, he had wolfed down the rest of his pie and sprung up from the couch with a speed you thought he could never possess, and ran out the front door while yelling behind him. “Have a good night!”
The roar of the Impala’s engine carried over the quiet fields surrounding your house before Sam was even halfway down the hall. Your hands trembled as he walked back into the room, an embarrassed smile on his face. “I’m sorry about him. I can call a taxi or just walk back to town if you really want me gone.”
You shook your head. “It’s fine Sam. Let me clean up and I’ll set up the bed for you.” Your throat was tight with anxiety as you felt the beast inside you grin. He’ll make a good snack, you could hear her say.
“I couldn’t take your bed.” He started but you waved him off with what you hoped was a comforting smile and not a grimace.
“You’re too tall to fit on the couch and I won’t accidentally wake you up in the morning if you’re in my room.” Sam’s footsteps followed you into the kitchen. “Go on, I’ll only be a couple minutes. There should be some extra soap in the hall closet if you want a shower.”
You chanced a look back at your friend and caught the briefest glimpse of a soft look on his face. “Thank you.” He silently turned and left, presumably to make use of your small shower, and you breathed a sigh of relief.
If he was in your bedroom, he wouldn’t hear your screams as you turned.
——————
Pain blazed through your veins like a drug, slowly ripping you apart only to stitch you back together and do it all over again. She hated that you had tied yourself up like a dog- a silver infused iron chain wrapped around your neck and bolted to the reinforced concrete floor, the muzzle that kept her from howling bound tightly to your face and the handcuffs around your wrist that prevented you from moving lest the pure silver burn through your skin.
You eased yourself back against the far wall of the basement and turned your head to look out the lone window in the room. It was small and protected by iron bars but it allowed the warm summer breeze to wash over you, granting you a brief reprieve from the agony you were in.
As the weak moonlight finally brushed over you, your senses sharpened. You could smell the leftovers in your fridge and the scent of soap, you could see the small bugs that flew past the window and the small particles of dust that floated through the dark air. You could hear footsteps-
The basement door creaked open and you whimpered, the sound too grating on your sensitive ears. “Leave!” You snarled, your voice deeper and more dangerous as the wolf slowly consumed your mind. The footsteps continued.
Sam appeared at the bottom of the stairs, dressed only in his jeans and a t-shirt. He smelt like you with a mixture of his natural musk that you could only detect when he hugged you. His eyes were downturned and shining with tears.
“Why didn’t you tell anyone?” The laugh bubbled up from your chest before you could stop it. It was broken and sounded more like a hyena’s cackle than any sound a human could make.
“I only know hunters, what would happen if I told them I need to eat hearts to live?” Sam flinched but didn’t look scared, he almost looked… sheepish.
“Guess you’re right.” He stepped closer to you, his tall body now illuminated by the pale moonlight. “What I meant to say was, why didn’t you tell me?”
Silence washed over the both of you and your eyes dropped down. The shadows around you were steadily getting shorter, closing you into the far corner of the basement in a vain attempt to keep your wolf at bay.
“You left, like you were meant to. I’m meant to be alone.” You were struggling to speak as your mind slipped into a more primitive state. “Alone- can’t hurt anyone.”
Your ribs cracked and Sam stepped forward. Another wave of his scent washed over you making your chest rumble with a pleased sound. “I would’ve stayed, for you.”
Warmth bloomed across your face even as your back collided with the cool brick wall. “I would’ve taken care of you.” He slowly dropped to his knees only an arm’s length away from you, the moonlight following behind him.
Suddenly you were both ten years old again and grappling with the concept that the monsters in your nightmares were real. But yet again, there was the hazel-eyed son of a hunter telling you that everything was going to be ok and that even if no one else was, he would be there for you, no matter what.
A large, warm hand cupped your full cheek, his thumb brushing over your soft skin. “Sh-sh-should be scared.” You growled but nuzzled into his touch anyway, desperate for the first piece of physical affection you had felt since your parents died. He smiled and took the chance to place his other hand beneath where the collar rested across your neck.
“I could never be scared of you.” Your eyes sparkled with tears which he quickly wiped away as soon as they fell. “And you don’t need to be scared of hurting me or anyone else for that matter. I’ll protect you.”
The moon bathed both of you in a serene light for only a moment before your vision began to blur and your body trembled under the strain of your transformation. “I won’t leave you behind, never again.” But it sounded more like ‘I love you’.
And as you finally surrendered to the monster within you, Sam’s face was the last thing you saw and for the first time since you had been condemned to this life, you knew peace.

Rain (Reader x sad!Nat)
pairings: Reader x Natasha Romanoff
warnings: existential topics, slight mention of death, slight swearing
summary: reader is content. they know their place in the world, and that's with the avengers. so when nat comes back from a mission lost and drained, the reader takes it upon themself to comfort her and impart some advice. hurt/comfort!
a/n: hello loves! i hope you're having a lovely day :) this is my first fic so i'd really appreciate feedback as i'd really like to grow my account and cater my work better to you. i hope you enjoy it!! also, requests are open!
Tumblr media
Rain hit the car windows. The dim street lamps bore into my retinas, disfigured by the streaks of rain my windshield wipers were struggling to wipe away. I had always liked the rain - that was, from a distance. From the warmth and safety of my car, I sat in silence, soaking in the gentle murmur of the rainfall. Specks of rain peppered my windows, each droplet configuring itself into a unique constellation of water on my window, only to be wiped away seconds later. It was a microcosm of life, I suppose. Beautiful and vibrant for a moment, only to disappear without a trace in the blink of an eye.
In an odd way, it made me smile. No one wants to live forever. Forever sounded so overwhelmingly long. I was okay with life being short and vapid. In a way, that's what gave it meaning. Somehow some form of cosmic junk had become this solar system, my planet. Had become me. And I would live and die and leave no real mark on the universe. And I was okay with that. It gave me the agency to choose my own meaning. And the meaning I chose was the Avengers. My family. A series of calamities had somehow given me the best family I could ask for after twenty-something years of living borderline alone, and the thought took my breath away every day. They were mine and I was theirs and we were okay.
Kind of.
Nat and Tony were due to come back from a week-log mission that evening, and by the sounds of it, they were pretty banged up. Nothing too bad, but they wouldn't be in the best shape. One never was following a mission, after all. I had left to pick up something to cheer the both of them up, and had settled on getting a whole lot of takeaway for the whole team. Nat's favourite restaurant was only maybe a half hour drive from the Avengers Tower, and I couldn't find it on any food delivery platforms so I went there myself and got us a great deal of food, all Nat and Tony's favourite meals. They would need it after a long week in the field.
My car came up to the driveway, the rain still falling in heaps. It was so loud now that I was sure it would punch a hole in the roof of my car. Through my foggy window, I could make out the silhouette of the Quinjet on the roof. They were back already! I was practically jumping out of my seat to see them. I collected all the food that I could carry without dropping and ran to the door, trying my best to shield the food from the rain. FRIDAY opened the door without me asking, and I practically sprinted up the stairs to the common room.
"Y/N! I was just about to ask where you were." Nat gave me a worn out smile that didn't quite reach her eyes as she made her way over to embrace me, Tony following suit.
"Hello, my loves." I beamed as the two of them attempted to hug me despite my busy arms. "How are you doing?"
"Y'know. Fine. But I would be a lot better if you let me know what the hell that divine smell is, Y/N." Tony smirked, eyebrow raised.
"Oh, I got takeout!" I sang.
At this the whole team began chattering, practically tripping over themselves to grab a bag and eat whatever was inside before I shooed them away to go wash their hands, as did I. I made my way to a nearby bathroom as the kitchen sink was crowded enough as it was and I didn't feel like waiting.
"Nat..."
Much to my surprise, Nat sat on the floor of the bathroom, knees to her chest in an almost fetal position. She looked so tired. I could hear the rain pattering against the window above her. The storm was gentler now, taking its final breaths. She looked up at the sound of my voice, her tired eyes struggling to focus on my face. Her characteristic, firey self-confidence had dissipated and she just seemed so... tired. It wasn't her.
"Nat, my lovely, what's wrong?" I caught myself using the little pet name someone some lifetime ago had called me. Maybe it would be of some comfort to Nat. "Nat?"
"Uh, I'm just tired, Y/N. It's nothing for you to worry about. Go eat. I'll be there in a minute."
"I'm here to help, love, I can't just leave you. Please tell me what's wrong." I said, keeping my voice as calm and reassuring as I could as I made my way to sit beside her.
She opened her mouth as if to protest, but crumpled as if she were carrying the weight of the heavens on her shoulders.
"I'm just tired of everyone dying." She croaked, her voice barely above a whisper. "It's so fucking pointless. We put our asses on the line every single day for people who just end up dying anyways. There's literally no point to any of this. We're just gonna die anyways, wouldn't it all just be better if we never existed? Yeah... It's all pointless, meaningless shit. I'm so tired of it!" Her voice had risen to an almost shout by this point.
"I know, I know..." I mused as I took her in my arms. "I know, Nat. It's so hard to see meaning sometimes, and that can be scary and tiring. We're on a floating rock and we'll die and be forgotten by the universe eventually, but Nat, that's okay. It doesn't mean there's no meaning. You mean so much to me and to the team, and everyone we save means something to someone. That matters. We have the freedom to choose our own meaning for our own little world. The universe can go fuck itself because the universe is what doesn't matter. Your meaning doesn't need to come from some cosmic overlord. For me, it's you all that gives me meaning. You are my world, my reason, my purpose. You just need to find yours."
We sat in silence for a bit, listening to the hiss of the rain and the echoes of our friends' laughter in the common room. I could feel every inch of her skin touching mine, each vibrant intricacy fighting for my attention. Her calloused fingers were cold, but her palms were sweaty. I didn't mind, though, I counted myself lucky to even be in her presence. Her red hair fell down about her waist, some getting caught in our embrace.
"Sorry." Nat finally spoke, as she pulled herself from me. "Sorry, this is so stupid. I'm being stupid. The mission was just harder than expected."
"Nat, you aren't being stupid at all! It's completely okay to feel this way, okay?" I turned her face in my direction. Her cheeks were soft, save for the little cuts that peppered her porcelain features. Gosh, looking at her felt like falling into bed after a long day of fighting and missions. She felt like home. "Okay?"
She nodded, a smile forming on her chapped lips.
"Let's go eat before the others finish all the food. I bought your favourite! Unless you want to sit here a while longer, that's okay too."
"Shit, I'm actually really hungry!" She giggled. "Yes, let's go eat. I'd like to see the others."
With that, I got up to wash my hands, and we made our way towards the sound of sweet laughter. Nat smiled at our friends. A real smile, this time. She smiled the smile of someone finding their purpose. Finding their meaning. Finding their home.

Fangs and Claws pt 2
-long awaited (my bad), fluff, angst, fantasy world, vampires, werewolves, elves, ect ect... some enemies to lovers 🤭🤭🤭
Tumblr media
: being sworn enemies really does cause some tension, could this said tension turn romantic??
Part One
words 3k
werewolf!momo x vampire!sana x gn!elf!reader
Living with both Momo and Sana has proven to be very challenging. Their species is at war, but it also appears that they are fighting a little one among themselves. Your furniture was too small for them; your sofas and chairs had them virtually squatting, and you were giggling inside every time one of them forgot to duck their heads under a doorway and hit their forehead.
But then again, they're enemies, so... Here you are sitting in between them with your arms crossed as the two girls wedge themselves closer to the couch’s arms, glaring at one another over your head.
“You guys can’t act like this forever,” you huff, eyeing the two, “make some conversation, get to know one another or something”. You look between them and see them look away from one another, Sana with a soft “hmph” and Momo with an annoyed scoff. You groan and leave the room, probably to go dust your room off, again.
Sana looks over at Momo, still looking away. She fiddles with her fingers slightly before hesitantly opening her mouth, “h–”
“don’t talk to me.”
────────────────────
Not to mention they make anything—literally everything a competition.
Here, Y/N, let me get that for you.” Momo offers to move your chair back for you, before pushing it forward after you get comfortable, picking up the napkin before carefully tying it around your neck, and ruffling your hair as you whine, batting her hand away.  Momo grinned triumphantly and moved to take a seat on her side of the table. Sana huffs at the interaction, jealousy coursing through her.
“Hey Y/N, let me fill up your plate.” Sana takes your plate and begins to fill it up with mashed potatoes, with a side of coleslaw, placing a nicely sliced piece of bread next to it. You thank them both with a blush, saying that they didn’t have to and that you’re more than capable of doing it yourself. Momo, of course, glares straight at the smug vampire.
────────────────────
Momo and Sana found out very early on that you loved to clean. May it be washing your sheets, dusting the house, trimming the bushes, or sweeping the path leading to your front door, you loved to keep things neat and tidy. Today was one of those ‘cleaning’ days that you’d have often, and of course the two beasts were quick to offer help. You were in your room while you asked Sana to be in charge of the living room and Momo of the kitchen.
Sana saw Momo wiping down the cups, but she purposefully skips your favorite one, with reason of course, it was made of silver. All vampire weapons were made of silver because it was the most effective against werewolves. Sana whistles over to the kitchen as an idea arises in her mind.
“What are you doing here?” Momo aggressively asks, glaring at Sana.
Sana shrugs, a smirk on her face. “Am I not allowed to be in the kitchen? Just wanna see what you’re doing.” Her eyes trail to your favorite silver cup. Momo catches her eye.
“Don’t you dare!” Momo tries to stop her, but it’s too late.
“Oops!” And Sana bumps onto the counter, knocking the cup over the edge, and Momo leaps, her arms reaching to catch the cup. And she’s successful; the cup falls into her hands, and she bites her lips to hold back a whimper. She carefully sets the cup down on the floor and races towards the sink, placing her hands under the cold water. You come out of the room with a little maid’s apron tied around your waist and a cleaning cloth in your hand, asking about the sound, when you notice Momo holding back tears.
“Oh Momo,” You softly call for her, walking up to her to graze your hand over the burn before pulling back after seeing her wince, an obvious pout on her lips. “What happened?”
“Your cup fell,” Momo uttered, pointing at your cup lying on the ground with not a single scratch on it. You sigh, understanding what happened.
“Awww, Momo, I don’t care about the cup; you didn’t have to hurt yourself for that. Come come. Let's put some ointment on it and wrap it up. Sana, would you be a dear and finish up for Momo?” You softly usher her towards your room. Momo looks at Sana, sticking her tongue out with a smug look on her face, as Sana stares in shock. But as her eyes flicker down to Momo’s hand, she feels a twinge of guilt before brushing it away and picking up a cloth to finish wiping down the cups.
────────────────────
And this one time, the three of you were outside, tending to your crops, which were safely secured inside a sturdy new fence both Momo and Sana had built for you. Sana and Momo, as per your request, were shortening some of the long grass that grew alongside your walls. You found them to be too tall and wanted them to be short enough to make it seem your cottage was neat and proper on the outside just as much as it was inside. Momo still had a bandage on her hand from the events of the day before, and she was filled with resentment.
This could be her chance to get back at Sana, and she wouldn’t dare miss it. Sana was behind your cottage; the shade casted on her to protect her from the sun. She is a vampire, after all; she wouldn’t want to burn. But Momo wanted Sana to feel the same pain she felt, so she came up with a quick game plan.
She remembers when Sana saw a spider crawling on your bathroom wall; the screech she let out still makes her laugh internally at her enemy's misery. She looks around and notices a beetle crawling on a leaf. She smirks before picking the small creature up. “perfect”, she mumbles to herself.
“Ohh, Sana, you won’t believe what I found.” Momo walks up to Sana with a smug look, her hands hiding behind her back.
“What is it, mutt?” Sana scoffed, setting down her pliers and walking over. Momo took the chance to throw the beetle at Sana; her face paled as the tiny beetle landed on her shoulder. She screeched, jumping away and slapping her shoulder before tripping over the same set of pliers she’d tossed onto the ground. She fell to the ground with a thud, and a bit of her face escaped the shade and became exposed to the sun. She yelped at the burning sensation, and you quickly came running, asking what happened.
“Oh no, Sana!” You sit her up against the shade, and Momo holds back her snickers as Sana throws her a hard glare, holding onto her head.
────────────────────
“Okay, you two need to be careful; humans visit all the time, so act like one, and don’t do anything suspicious.” You talk about the market in town; every season, vendors from all over come over to sell their goods in the middle of town square, humans and elves alike, ranging from homemade fresh fruits and baked sweets to trinkets and fancy clothes from vast adventurers.
You gave both of them cloaks. Sana was definitely allergic to the sun; the bandage on her cheek was a clear sign, and wearing her armor would definitely reveal that she is, in fact, not a human. Momo’s amber eyes were a dead give away that she was a werewolf, and her stature... no human would be able to compete.
“By the way, town is like 5 miles from here. Any questions?” You look at the cloaked figures standing stiffly behind you. Both of them holding onto the handle of a large wooden wheelbarrow, “okay then, let’s get going!” You begin a brisk walk ahead of them as the two stumble behind you.
The town was bustling with life, creatures other than elves and humans roamed the streets. Creatures that Momo and Sana had never seen before like fairies, gnomes, wizards, and even a cyclops. They were astonished. Following you like lost puppies, you went from one stand to another, conversing with the sellers and buying food and little trinkets you found fascinating. Many suspicious looks were thrown at the two, but you worked it out by coming up with quick distractions.
As you make your way to one particular stand, the owner jumps for joy at the sight of you, saying, “Oh little Y/N! How have you been?” You’re brought into a hug by an elderly elf, “Never better, how have you been, Aunt Becky?”
The lady chuckles, “Oh, the same old life with the same old husband! Frank still likes to nag at every living thing that breathes in his direction!”, the woman scoffs, but her eyes catch the two mysterious figures behind you. “who are these two?” You stiffen at the question, “Uhhh, they're some human friends, yeah! They’re a little shy” You whisper the little bit at the end, Aunt Becky nods, suspiciously eyeing the two, before moving behind her stand.
“So I’ve got something just for you, little elf!” Your eyes light up, as you watch the older elf take out a box, “is it what I think it is?!” You practically squeal, clapping your hands in excitement. Sana and Momo tilt their heads to get a better view, wondering what it is that’s making you so excited? The box is opened, and you gasp, “oh my gosh, it’s a fully griffin feathered duster!” You pick it up and look at the duster in awe, “how much? I’ll get it now!” You run your hands through the tough feathers sighing at the feeling. Momo and Sana stand there shocked, they were expecting something else, not sure what but definitely something else.
“It’ll be three hundred silver coins.” Your jaw drops.
“What? No way! The-three hundred? C-c’mon Aunt Becky could you throw in a discount? I don't have that much!” The gray-haired elf shook her head,
“Sorry Y/N, I need to make a living! Giving out discounts won’t help me pay for food. Plus these are real griffin feathers we’re talkin’ ‘bout here! Three hundred is pretty cheap if you ask me!” You frown nodding, “maybe next time then” You sound defeated as you turn away, “let’s go to the tailor’s stand guys”
You needed the money to buy the two clothes but before you could step away Sana drops a tiny leather pouch onto the stand and Momo picks up the box. Sana takes your hand as Momo carefully sets the box into the wheelbarrow. Aunt Becky raises an eyebrow and opens the pouch and out spews coins not silver coins, but coins made of pure gold. And your jaw drops once again, “Where did you two…?” You were at a loss for words, as Sana holds your hand and walks towards the tailor’s stand that had been passed earlier, Momo scoffs as she watches you walk away with Sana, she tugs at the wheelbarrow, mumbling a quick “keep the change” before trudging forward to catch up with you two.
────────────────────
You guys were loading everything onto the wheelbarrow and you were still surprised at how rich they are, “Where did you guys get the money? I mean gold coins! Gold! Coins! Those things are an elf’s dream! Like are you two actually secretly super rich? Man, gold coins are so coo-”
“And up we go” You gasp when Momo suddenly lifts you up and sets you into the wheelbarrow right on top of one of the bigger quilts you got for them.
“You sit there and be cute and ramble about cute stuff till we get back home” Sana ruffled your hair and gently tugs at your ear before going to the front with Momo.
“Uh- okay then!” And you continue to blabber about how cool Sana and Momo looked, and then proceeded to talk about your new one of a kind duster and how you love it so much and that you’re going to use it every single day. But the blabbering comes to a stop not even half way back to your little cottage.
The sudden silence causes Sana to turn around to check on you, she finds you fast asleep, napping on the same quilt you were set on, hugging your griffin-feather duster. She chuckles a bit before turning her head back to the front, “asleep…” she murmurs, Momo hums.
“Should we take a break?” Momo looks over at Sana confused, she then scowls, “do you think I’m tired? Because I’m not”
“No, no, not at all” Sana shakes her head, “Just wanted to take a break, you up for it?”
Momo looks into Sana’s eyes, they didn’t hold any bad intention, her scowl twitches before she looks away with a huff, “...fine”
The gentle breeze swept across her hair as Sana closed her eyes and leaned against the large boulder, a sigh leaving her lips.
“It’s peaceful here” Momo who’s sitting on top of the boulder tilts her head confused, “what I mean is…” Sana looks up at Momo with a soft smile,
“There’s no violence here. No blood shed, no war. I’m not paranoid about turning death’s corner here every second of every day. Don’t you agree?”
Momo clenches her fists, “I don’t want to go back… I don’t want to leave them” Her confession, although not a direct answer was enough and had Sana smiling.
“Me too”
────────────────────
“Let’s set everything up tomorrow, the sun is beginning to set'' You yawn after the three of you unload everything onto your couch—not after you wipe everything down before bringing them inside. The two find you cute as you stretch and rub at the tiredness in your eyes.
“That’s a good idea, sweets. You look like you’re about to fall asleep any minute” Sana rests her hand on her shoulder. Momo rests her hand on your lower back, looking down at you, “we’ll set up the bed, why don’t you go shower?”
You’re confused as to why neither of them tried to rip the other’s arm off you, but you’re too tired to question it.
The sound of running water is the only thing breaking the silence as Momo and Sana set up the normal sleeping arrangements, you sleep on the bed, only because the two feel nervous about breaking it. Both of them sleep on the floor, they layer some extra comforters and duvets you had laying around. You feel guilty always saying that their backs will ache in the morning because it’s not good for them, but they disagree. Momo finds your duvets much softer than the ones back in the barracks, and Sana can get lost in your scent after she switches pillows with you every other night before you could wash them. These nights with you have given them the best sleep of their lives, but that was after they learned not to be paranoid each night thinking the other was going to slice their throat in their sleep.
Sana yawns once she does her signature switch of the pillows, smelling your pillow and sighing. Momo notices the tiredness in Sana’s eyes, “I’ll shower after you” Sana perks up at the offer, “wait really! That’s a first, am I growing on you puppy?” Sana teases, a soft blush forms on Momo’s cheeks as she looks away, “just hop in the shower creep, you stink” Sana chuckles walking past you, into the bathroom you just came out of.
“Oh my Momo! Your face is red! Are you feeling okay? Are you sick? Gosh, you look misera-”
“I- I’m fine!”
────────────────────
Momo lets out a yawn before she tucks herself in. You were peacefully asleep on your bed, still hugging that expensive duster like your life depended on it. Her hair slightly damp as she adjusts her position, she turns but her breath hitches once she comes face to face with a sleeping Sana. The way the moonlight shines on her face, her pale skin almost sparkling. Her hair laid out so gracefully, her eyes trailing from Sana’s lips to her nose, her cheeks, stopping at the bandage hiding the burnt skin that existed underneath. For some reason, her heart churns, not with satisfaction but with guilt.
She raises her hands up, her fingers gently grazing the spot. The longer she stares, the more the guilt begins to drown her. Her fingers trail with her eyes, from Sana’s bandage to her cheeks, her nose, and then to her lips. Then her hand is held by another, and Momo looks up and notices Sana’s red eyes staring right into hers, a smirk curling. It’s a blur for Momo, and she’s confused. She doesn’t know why she likes it, but she does. She likes the way Sana pushes her onto her back, how Sana straddles her, how Sana leans in, and how her breath fans against her ear.
"Momo,” Sana teases, “have you perhaps… taken a liking to me?” She smirks down at the werewolf, trailing her hands against her neck. Momo can feel her heartbeat, swallowing nothing before mumbling, “and... if I have?”
Sana smirks and bites her ear, Momo’s breath hitching, “then I’d know you feel the same.” Another blur, and Momo feels nibbles and kisses trail her face and down to her neck, but just as fast as they came, they disappeared. A sudden sound of something falling is heard from one side of the room—your side. Your prized duster lay on the floor as you looked at the two, gawking at what you just witnessed.
“No way. Am I- Am I dreaming?” You mumbled, a deep red blush covered your face and ran up to your ears and down your neck. Momo and Sana look at one another, slightly surprised, before smirking.
“Oh darling, we’ll make you feel like your dreaming, c’mere”

Faithless
Savior Complex Part Two
Lottie Matthews x Natalie Scatorccio x Fem!Reader
—-
sypnosis: Sick with guilt, scared of every shadow, hungry and stubborn, this is no way to live life. You lay in the attic all day, let the world pass you by, watching as memories play over and over, but there is blood on your hands and in your teeth. You can never get it off.
a/n: another au where coach ben didn’t burn down the cabin bc again… i am not dealing w that ❤️ and also I WANTED HURT/COMFORT SO I WROTE HURT/COMFORT. DEAL W IT. i hope you all enjoy!!
warnings: mentions of death, cannibalism, swearing, depression, suicidal ideation, tell me if i missed anything!!
—-
You will never forget the sound his body made as he landed in the bottom of the pit. You will never forget that first moment you saw him, when all you saw was his still body and the blood. You will never forget the moment you had realized what had happened, when you saw the spikes and the blood, and you realized what his stillness meant.
Maybe the way that your mind had forced you into this loop where you constantly though about it was why you had these dreams.
Another night, another nightmare, and you shoot up straight in the flimsy mattress you call a bed. Natalie and Lottie’s arms fall from around you, and you push them off, the blankets off, everything away, because you can’t stand to be warm when he never will be warm again.
You cry. You cry. You didn’t know it was possible to cry this much, for your starved and hungry body to hold this much tears.
“Don’t cry, don’t cry,” someone is whispering, brushing the hair out of your face, and someone else just wraps themselves around you so you won’t hurt yourself or them in your frenzy.
Lottie kisses your shoulder and mumbles something. A prayer, maybe. You feel numb again.
Natalie takes your face in her hands, stares into your eyes, but it feels like she’s a ghost. You want to stare into her soft eyes, you want to kiss her, you want it to be how it was- but you just look through her.
She touches your temples.
“What is happening in here?” she whispers, her voice full of such genuine confusion, and when you can finally stare into her eyes, you realize she’s crying.
“I don’t know,” you whisper back, your voice scratchy from not being used. “I don’t know.”
She wipes away your tears, taking a deep breath and wrapping herself around you tighter, so your face is pressed into her chest. She sets her chin on top of your head.
And she holds you like that for a long time until she must think you’re asleep, so she guides you to lay down in that same position, the room quiet except for soft breaths.
“I-I don’t know how to help her, Lot.”
Lottie scratches your scalp. She doesn’t speak. She doesn’t know either.
—-
As soon as you woke up, you knew this day would be as worst as the last. So, like the day before, you didn’t wake up. After a while, Natalie detangles herself from you and Lottie, heading downstairs.
Since the hunt, Natalie had been the only one to leave the attic. Lottie had reopened all of her cuts and bruises in the aftermath, aggravating every sore spot in her body.
It was hard for her to get up and down the stairs.
But at least she had a reason.
You had turned into this black hole of a thing, sucking in breath and warmth and attention and letting out nothing in return.
Even now, as you lay on your side, Lottie pressed against your back, she’s trying to keep you warm, trying to make you feel better- running her hands through your scalp.
And if it was the before, if you still had some semblance of faith left in you- if you could believe that the world held something good in it, you would love it. You would love her attention and her comfort.
But every time you close your eyes you see his tiny bloody body. You feel the blood sinking under your skin. You hear the sound as he fell and landed.
You aren’t a person anymore. You’re a black hole, and all you can do is take.
—-
It’s not hard to realize that Natalie and Lottie are treating you like glass. And maybe you would be annoyed if you didn’t feel like glass.
You haven’t been able to eat since the hunt.
And you know they’re trying to be kind to you and your grief, but every time Nat looks at you in the light, she looks so concerned. You know you must be looking horrible, hungry and dirty.
Nat looks at you as she passes Lottie’s cup to her, full of meat that the scent of sends a sharp pang of hunger through your stomach. Lottie moves away from you so you don’t have to smell it or hear her chew it.
“You should really eat,” Natalie whispers. “I can find something for you.”
You look through her. And you know she notices it too by the way her shoulders drop.
“I’m tired,” you murmur softly, and you are. You’re tired of living the same memories every time you close your eyes. You’re tired of the hunger in your stomach.
You look down, fixing the blankets around you.
You can still feel her eyes on you. She doesn’t stop looking.
Lottie sets her metal cup onto the floor, untouched, and you look up in shock. Food is a commodity here. She should eat it before it gets cold. You would if you could.
“We know you’re scared,” she says, crawling gingerly towards you. You look at the floor and bring your knees to your chest. “But you can’t let your fear drive you to death.”
You scoff, automatically, because at you’re core you’re just a teenager girl who can’t fathom the notion of death.
“I’m serious,” Lottie whispers, her voice falling softly. She places her hand on your chest. “Breathe. In and out-”
“Lottie,” Nat says, her voice soft for you but her tone stern. Lottie rolls her eyes and turns back to you.
And it’s so casual, and so them, that you can help but smile.
They both seem a little shocked for a moment, but your smile doesn’t falter, too caught up in such a before moment, that they quickly slap their own smiles on their faces just so you’ll keep smiling.
Nat places her hand on your knee, still drawn up to your chest-
“We love you,” she says. And it’s just so true and so obvious that you believe her.
And even though you don’t know if you’ll ever not feel this horrible black hole in your chest, they love you.
When the first tears come, Natalie just wipes them away with her thumbs. But when they come like a rain storm, and your sharp breathes sound like thunder, she doesn’t bother trying to stop them.
Lottie comes behind you and wraps her arms around your waist, letting you fall against her, and the tight ball you had wound yourself up into falls. Natalie gets on her knees and presses your face to her chest.
“I love you,” Lottie whispers. “We love you.”
And they whisper it so many times the phrase starts to sound funny.
“It’s okay,” Nat whispers, because she has always been the type of person to throw a band-aid over a bullet hole. “It’s gonna be okay.”
“And it doesn’t feel like it,” Lottie continues, “But I know it will come. And you don’t have to do anything unless you want to, and… and we’ll always be here to make you do the stuff you have to do, no matter if you want to do it.”
It does not take away the fact that you feel like a black hole. It does not make Javi alive again. It doesn’t make you feel any less guilty.
But it makes you feel loved.
You are faithless, but maybe they have enough faith for the three of you.

You had no one before him. Everyone else had left you. Eventually you gave up in trying to convince them to stay. Nobody tried approaching you due to your closed off nature. No one but him. Chrollo Lucilfer, the head of the infamous phantom troupe, or Chrollo as he likes you to call him.
You knew something was off about him, but you didn't care, because he was the only one who was willing to get to know you and stayed after finding out more about you. Even if what he did was somehow considered borderline stalking. You didn't give a damn. It was nice having someone try for you, after so long of no one trying.
You don't deserve him.
Soon afterwards he convinced you to move in with him, which you agreed to. Ever since then your daily life has been confined to his estate. You didn't mind of course; you were glad someone cared enough for you. But also, guilty. He shouldn't love someone like you. Someone so horrible and disgusting. Someone who could barely do anything right.
You don't deserve him.
You wish you could do something to repay all he's done for you. But surely you would just mess it up like you do with everything else. You don't want to be more of an inconvenience than you already are. Why didn't he pick someone else? Someone much more talented or prettier than you? Surely, he could do better. It still confuses you to this day.
You don't deserve him.
You feel weak. You wanted to believe him, but you couldn't. You truly were a terrible person. But you couldn't help but continue to be suspicious of his intentions. What if he runs away from you after realising how horrible you are? What happens then? You'll have no one. You need him. You pray to all the God's imaginable that he'll never realise how ugly and useless you truly are inside. Maybe he already knows and is toying with you? Your mind keeps swirling with all these terrifying thoughts, making you want to bite your fingers off with fear in case any of it turned out to be true.
You don't deserve him.
You feel tears stream down your face. You try your best not to let out any noise. Even if no one is home. It hurts so much. Why did you have to burden everyone with your existence? The hate red you had for yourself was immense. Tears continued streaming down as you wiped your nose. You hated this. This lonely, suffocating feeling but you were always too scared to reach out. You wanted him to be here, holding you tightly in his warm embrace as he allowed you to cry into the fur of his coat, whispering sweet words of kindness into your ear. It was a selfish wish you know but you can't help it. You wanted him to bruise you with his kisses, to be lacerated open and stitched together, sharing both blood and skin. You wanted to lock your lips to his with no intention of breaking from one another. You continued crying. You longed to sink into the endless depths of hell with him if it meant you could belong to him in peace, but what God thought thought you were deserving of something so blissful?
Out of nowhere you feel a pair of familiar arms wrap around you.
"I'm sorry I took so long, my love. Now tell me, why are you crying?"
You back away, trying to escape. But his grip was firm. It felt like you would never leave his embrace.
"I don't deserve you... Why are you doing this!?"
"Hmm, because I love you. And of course, you deserve me. My standards are high, but regardless you are the one that I love."
"But I'm worthless! Someone as useless as me doesn't deserve to be worthy of your time! Please Chrollo...don't burden yourself with me..."
"I'll tell you as many times as it takes for you to believe me. You're none of these things your mind tells you. You are mine and I love you." He hugged you tighter, placing a firm kiss on your temple. "Even if others may think that. I will never. I promise."
You just sat there in his arms processing everything. You never knew how to respond to him. He's always so kind around you.
"But surely you could find someone better than me. I'm sure of it. One day you'll find someone who can give you everything I could only dream of giving to you." You sniffled, trying to hold back the tears.
"Even if I did, I would still choose you. No matter what. Because you are the one that I love."
"Are you sure? You aren't lying, are you Chrollo? Please promise me?"
"I promise you from the bottom of my heart. I would never lie to you." He paused for a second. "Come on my love, it's getting late. Let's get you to bed."
"Okay..."
He stopped hugging you and took your hand. He led you to your shared room. His hand were always so warm and comforting. He led you into bed, and you two just held each other, resting your head on the crook of his neck as he whispered sweet nothings in your ear.
"You are the beginning and end of who I am. You are everything I could ever care for and more. I'll rip my own veins out before I can love another. I'll praise every hair on your head, every breath you take, every glance you give my way. I'll never allow you to feel worthless again, love. You are my salvation. Your voice is my mantra, Your body is my church. I abandoned the faith of God a long time ago, but if it meant I could forever keep you close within arms reach, then I'll cry my prayers to the heavens for all to hear. Because I want you. I need you."
You really don't deserve him, but maybe for tonight you will allow yourself to believe. Allow yourself to hope that maybe you are worthy of him. Even if it's for a short time. You are at peace.

The view looking out across the fjord was one you’d never tire of. As the sun set, heaven and earth collided, and for a brief moment, you existed within a world made only of skies, framed by towering mountains on either side. It was serene. Mystical. Otherworldly. Seemingly as if you were living on a totally different planet. And, in a way, you were. A changed planet, at least.
You let out a contented sigh as you watched the amber sun sink lower on its path across the sky, its hazy rays glistening on the water. Flashes of gold reflected across the ethereal cerulean inlet, shimmering and rippling with the last light of the day. Broad stripes of coral and lavender wrapped around you like a cozy blanket as the sun dipped slowly behind a jagged peak, kissing the distant horizon. Time slowed down, and all you felt was stillness and peace.
You almost forgot about the harsh reality of the near-dystopian state of the world. Almost. Moments like these were always as fleeting as they were unforgettable.
You inhaled, relishing the way the fresh, crisp air left a dash of salt on your lips. Your eyesight adjusted as you turned around, taking in a new view that was less than desirable. A small, plump codfish floundered at your feet, its spotted scales catching the last rays of receding daylight.
“Sustainably caught and everything,” a proud voice rang out from below. You glanced down at your furry companion and winced.
“This isn’t exactly what I had in mind when I asked for your assistance, Rocket,” you sighed, wrangling the poor fish into your grasp before tossing it into the waters along the jetty. The raccoon scrunched his wet face in dismay as the tail fin disappeared with a glug beneath the placid inlet.
“What the– That was gonna be dinner,” he growled, kicking at one of the jetty rocks in mock protest.
You had grown quite accustomed to the dramatics of your new friends and simply rolled your eyes as you removed your gloves, wiping your hands against the rough cotton fabric of your coveralls.
“Spare me. We’re supposed to be monitoring and mapping movements. Not doing meal prep,” you said as you climbed up onto the harbor, only pausing to retrieve your tablet off the low stone wall of the dock. “And now I’m late for a meeting.”
“How exactly is that my fault? If you hadn’t been daydreaming, sunshine…”
“You smell terrible, by the way,” you called over your shoulder, hurrying up the stone steps toward town.
“Yeah, well, you’re not exactly smellin’ like a rose yourself!” you heard Rocket call out as you turned the corner.
Despite New Asgard’s remote location, it was a bustling place. The people of Tønsberg had accepted the Aesir with open arms, and you’d witnessed firsthand how the Asgardians’ unique culture and traditions had seamlessly blended with the local Norwegian way of life.
And you were lucky to be here.
The immediate aftermath of losing half of the Earth’s population had been devastating. Three years later, the planet – the universe – was still responding to the aftermath of mass extinction.
It had been a haunting phenomenon, the collective grief of half a world wondering if those who had disappeared would ever return. You had to believe, in some way, that they would. That you’d finally obtain a resolution. But losing your entire family in the blink of an eye was still something you were coming to terms with.
Most days, it seemed there was no closure to be had. By anyone.
The assembled trauma and utter shock had gotten you through the most chaotic times. And yet, you had never been more alone in your sorrow. Everyone you loved – everyone who loved you – vanished in an instant. Your grief had eventually led you here, to Norway, to your great aunt’s abandoned cottage. You never imagined it would also lead you to a new family of sorts.
You knew that Valkyrie had led the surviving Aesir to Earth, that Thor and Loki had fought against the invaders in Wakanda, ultimately failing to stop what Rocket called the ‘Snap.’ You also knew Thor had gone on to kill the madman who inflicted his cruel interpretation of order on the entire universe. The same tyrant who had tortured Nebula. Who had tortured Loki.
And while they all bore witness to his demise, none derived satisfaction.
Still, you didn’t know the whole story and had long accepted you never would. Rocket, while he loved to yammer on about all sorts of things, never actually gave you any information you couldn’t easily seek out online. And none of the others ever spoke of it. It was as if they had chosen to exist outside of reality, weary and burdened by their experiences. Their silence was like a heavy cloak that draped over them, concealing the past and shielding you from the horrors that resided within their minds.
Nonetheless, you cherished your otherworldly friends, grateful for the moments of joy and camaraderie that you shared in the midst of persistent responsibilities. Which, for you, meant working under the guidance of Asgardian leadership, developing ethical frameworks that promoted sustainable interactions between the citizens of New Asgard and the natural world. It was a far cry from your previous profession, but one that gave you a renewed sense of purpose amidst the lingering mayhem.
You hurried along the cobbled walkway, popping in your headphones as you bypassed New Asgard’s central square, where a statue of Odin stood tall and imposing, watching over his people. Veering off the main path, you opted to take the shortcut over the hillside while there was still enough light left to guide you.
As you walked up the trail that wound through a thicket of trees, you pulled your tablet from your bag to email your daily report to Valkyrie. Lost in thought, you didn’t notice the figure approaching from the opposite direction until it was too late.
With a jolt, you crashed back to reality as you collided with someone along the narrow path, the device falling from your grip.
“Oof,” a deep voice resounded from above you. You snatched out one of your earbuds, your other hand searching for purchase against a broad chest.
“L-Loki,” you stammered as you looked up at his stoic face, framed by his perfectly groomed curls that obediently rested atop his broad shoulders. How he always managed to look so impeccably regal despite the blistering cliffside winds was a mystery you were too eager to solve.
“Hello.” The resounding timbre sent a shiver down your spine as your fingers absentmindedly lingered on the soft wool of his dark pea coat. Loki looked down his nose at you, his eyes flitting from your fingertips to your face. Then he frowned.
He was not a fan of his personal space being invaded and you knew this. However, there had been a few moments between the two of you when he almost seemed to welcome your touch. Your mind flitted back to the time your fingertips grazed his while sitting together at a council meeting. You recalled the way your shoulders often touched as you walked side-by-side along the docks, and how he never removed your hand from the crook of his elbow as you navigated through the crowds on village market days.
And then there had been the time you’d excitedly hugged him after successfully tagging your first Norwegian cod, and you swore he hugged you back. You thought about the hug a lot. Too often, perhaps. It was all strictly platonic, of course.
You felt Loki’s cool fingers wrap around yours, and you hurriedly took a step back, snatching your hand away.
“I am so sorry,” you said as you shoved your headphones into your coat pocket. Your already wind-chapped face grew even more heated under his puckish gaze. “I was– ”
“Preoccupied?” Loki mused, his eyes crinkling with mirth. The playfulness in his tone calmed your nerves a bit.
“Mmm. I’ve been down at the docks all afternoon.” You forced out a laugh in a poor attempt at regaining some semblance of composure as Loki squatted down to retrieve the forgotten datapad at your feet.
“Thank you,” you murmured as he handed it back to you. “Again, sorry for that less-than-graceful display.”
“It’s fine,” he replied, his piercing green eyes surveying your form. God, he was always so intense.
“You’ve got a lot on your mind, I’m sure. As do I,” Loki commented as he cast a knowing glance in your direction. “I just left Thor’s.”
“Oh. How is he today? Will he be joining us later?” you asked, trying to keep up with Loki’s long strides as he turned off the path in the direction of Valkyrie’s secluded lodge.
“The same, I’m afraid. His apathy for– ” Loki opened his arms and gestured down the hill “ –all this grows by the day. But I don’t imagine that surprises you,” he replied, quirking an eyebrow.
“And I’ve asked him to come tonight,” he continued as he turned to knock on the cabin’s front door. “But no promises were made.”
Tumblr media
Valkyrie placed a steaming cup of tea in front of you as you set down your tablet and propped your head on your hand.
“This proposal is ridiculous. They’re already manufacturing synthetic food products in labs across the globe. Asking us to operate a fish farm would not only skew our ecological research, but it essentially violates New Asgard’s sustainability treaty,” you lamented, glancing across the table at Loki.
He was surrounded by an imposing tower of folders and an array of alien technological systems that rivaled the inventions of Tony Stark. He still obstinately refused to use Midgardian tech, deeming it inferior to what he could procure from elsewhere in the universe. He stopped thumbing through a stack of papers, his eyebrows slanting up as he gave you a bemused look.
“Exactly. Why is the Council giving us a hard time?” added Valkyrie, settling into a chair and pushing a holographic map out of view as she too looked to Loki for an answer. “I did not agree to come to this planet just to be controlled by another group of insane bureaucrats.”
Loki pinched the bridge of his nose, a weary sigh escaping his lips before he responded. “Because they can, I suppose. The entire universe is in chaos – and not the kind I usually revel in, mind you,” he said, casting a sly wink in your direction that immediately made your cheeks flush with heat. You quickly took a sip of your drink as Valkyrie suspiciously peered at you, a smirk tugging at the corner of her mouth.
“But, by all the Nine, the governing bodies of this particular realm are so tedious. I can admit I’m at my wits end with these negotiations,” Loki continued, seemingly oblivious to your flustered state.
For the next half hour, the three of you continued to address the unremitting concerns of the new world order. As you brainstormed, the holographic map in the center of the room flashed various graphs and statistics. In any other situation, you’d find meetings like this incredibly irksome, but Loki had a way of keeping you fully engaged.
Why did you find everything about him so alluring? Your heart fluttered as you watched him reading over his notes as the conversation lulled, the urge to reach across the table and smooth the deep creases on his brow overwhelming. When he ran his thumb under his bottom lip as his eyes flitted back and forth across the page before him, you couldn’t help but imagine how his lips might feel against yours…
When you realized you’d been staring, you fumbled with your own notes, ignoring the smug expression on Valkyrie’s face.
“I believe we have a solid plan,” Loki said, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “And if all else fails, I can always use my charm to persuade them otherwise.” At his words, a flash of seidr shot from the palm of his hand as five more Lokis appeared around their commander.
“Let’s hope it doesn’t come to that,” Valkyrie sneered, rolling her eyes as she stood up from the table. Loki waved his duplicates away with a huff, turning around as the door creaked open behind him. Thor sauntered in, his eyes glued to his phone as his wide frame strode through the glowing data projections.
“Ah, how kind of you to join us, brother,” Loki scoffed, leaning back in his chair. “We were just discussing the most recent inane request presented to us by your friends at the Disunited Nations.”
Thor grunted in response, still mindlessly scrolling. Loki, however, was not so easily dismissed.
“Care to verbalize those rousing thoughts, your majesty?” he said sharply, his frustration palpable.
Shit. You stared at Valkyrie, eyes wide. The last thing you wanted was to be caught up in an altercation between two brooding demigods. She subtly shook her head, motioning for you to join her in the kitchen.
As you stood, the blonde Asgardian bristled, finally glancing up from the device dwarfed in his palm. “Erm, sorry. What is it you’re rambling on about?” Thor muttered, his brow furrowed in confusion.
“The prospect of a fishery…” Loki did little to hide the annoyance in his voice. “As king, I thought you might have an opinion. Clearly, I was mistaken.”
Thor shrugged, scrolling through his phone once more. “I don’t know. You seem to have everything under control. I’ll just… be over here,” he replied, drifting to a nearby chair.
Loki abruptly stood, sending his belongings to his interdimensional pocket with a flick of his wrist.
“I see. Then we will move ahead with our plan– ” he paused, giving you a knowing look across the room as he walked toward the door “ –to continue the monitoring and not risk further contamination with foolhardy farming practices.”
Thor let out another grunt as Loki exited the cabin, turning to you and Valkyrie with a look of indifference. “What’s got his cape in a twist?”
Damn it. You quickly dismissed yourself, snatching your tablet from the table and hurrying after Loki. It was dark out now, but not so dark that you couldn’t make out his stately form descending the hillside. At least three of your strides equaled one of his, and you found yourself breaking into a graceless jog as you struggled to catch up with the god.
Before you could stop yourself, you shouted out his name. Loki turned on his heel and held up his hand, conjuring an orb of glimmering light.
“S-sorry, hey,” you panted as you finally reached where he stood waiting. “I thought we could walk back together?”
He pursed his lips, glancing over your shoulder at Valkyrie’s cabin. Perhaps this wasn’t your brightest idea. After what felt like an eternity, Loki responded.
“Of course. I- I should not have made such a hasty exit. Apologies for my imprudent behavior.” He spoke with a twinge of forced formality that sent your mind reeling. He obviously wanted to be alone right now.
“Oh. No worries,” you replied almost too casually, cringing internally as you fell in step alongside him. The two of you walked in silence for a few minutes, and it took every ounce of your resolve not to gawk at the handsome god. The way the moonlight illuminated his sharp features was absolutely devastating and definitely not something you’d be thinking about as you drifted off to sleep later.
You turned your focus to the warm glow emanating from Loki’s floating orb, humming in delight as you observed the tendrils of gold light wafting through the nipping sea air. You were endlessly fascinated by his seidr, from his masterful displays of sorcery and deception on New Asgard’s training fields to simpler charms such as this. Everything about Loki was beautiful. Otherworldly. Unattainable.
He finally spoke up again, his tone guarded. “I do hope I didn’t cause any offense,” he said, his eyes darting over to you briefly before flicking away. “Thor and I… it’s complicated.”
You shook your head. “No, no, not at all,” you replied, trying to sound reassuring. “Your reaction was justified.”
There was another moment of silence before Loki let out a quiet sigh, his shoulders slumping slightly. “He’s– things are just very different now.”
He was right. Everything was different. You tried to ignore the ache in your own grief-stricken heart as you cautiously reached out to touch Loki’s arm, hoping to offer some comfort. “I know,” you said softly.
Loki glanced down at your hand on his arm, then back up at you, his expression softening a little. “You do know, don’t you?”
Your breath hitched as you regarded him, taking in the way his eyes sparked with an intensity you’d never seen before. It sent shivers down your spine, and you couldn’t help but wonder if he was thinking about you in the same way you thought of him. Perhaps it was simply a trick of the glimmering light?
“And that’s part of the problem,” he continued. “Thor blames himself for everyone’s loss. Not just our people’s.”
Oh.
Suddenly he stopped walking, and you realized you’d reached the small gate that led to your cottage. For a moment, you hesitated, reluctant to say goodnight just yet. Loki had never spoken this openly with you before, and you didn’t want the conversation to end.
“Would you like to come in for some tea?” you asked as the twinkling orb disappeared from the space between you. Had he kept it lit only for your benefit?
“Ah, I’m afraid I must prepare for my journey to Vanaheim tomorrow.” He gave you a sad smile as you opened your gate, no doubt detecting the confusion on your face. “A strictly diplomatic visit. Valkyrie is aware. And it’s probably best if I spend some time away from New Asgard.”
“Well, the offer stands. You, me, and a cup of tea. Perhaps when you return?” you asked, attempting to conceal the disappointment in your voice. Loki didn’t owe you anything, after all.
“Of course. When I return.”
Tumblr media
The next few days were relatively uneventful, all things considered. You continued your research of now-endangered fish species, while Valkyrie prepared for a convening with neighboring republics. Loki was off-planet, as were Nebula and Rocket.
And you hadn’t seen Thor since the meeting the other night, which was why you now found yourself in the God of Thunder’s cluttered cottage. He’d hastily greeted you at the door, pulling his long unkempt hair into a half ponytail before haphazardly scooping up an assortment of dirty dishes and carrying them to his kitchen.
“Thor, about the other night,” you began, plopping down on your usual spot on the sofa – the cushion nearest the fireplace. It was the one with the least amount of stains.
“Would you like some ale?” he asked roughly, avoiding eye contact as he opened his refrigerator door. You knew he was trying to avoid the subject, as he always did when confronted like this. But you weren’t going to let up so easily this time.
“Thor…”
He continued to ignore you, the sound of glass bottles clinking together echoing through the room like tiny bells ringing out in unison.
“You could, you know, try to be a bit more involved with– ” you paused, searching for the right words. “Human affairs. The people adore you, you know.”
“Perhaps they did. In the past.” Releasing a small grunt, Thor settled down on the sofa next to you. “But I’m afraid your attempts at flattery are in vain, little mortal.”
“I may just be a mortal, Thor, but I am doing the best I can with the hand we’ve been dealt. We all are. And regardless of whatever you think, we need your help.”
He merely scoffed, handing you a bottle of beer before putting his headset on and returning to his video game. Of course you had interrupted him in the middle of some imaginary battle.
Thor Odinson, king of Asgard, ancient warrior, Avenger, god among men. Toiling his eternal days away in a too-small, too-dark cottage, drinking ale and talking shit to teenagers halfway across the globe as he numbed himself to everything around him.
He had lost his purpose.
You empathized with him, you really did. And perhaps you were out of line to address him in such a manner. But in all the time you’d known him, he’d never once displayed even the smallest flicker of sovereignty. No, that responsibility had fallen upon his younger brother’s shoulders. And you could see the toll it was taking on Loki.
When I return.
His parting words echoed in your mind like distant thunder, each rumble a reminder of the restless storm brewing in your heart. You weren’t entirely sure if Loki would actually be returning this time. Perhaps it was the way he had looked at you when he said it – the mask of his unwavering stoicism falling aside for the briefest moment to reveal a kind of hesitant sorrow.
Tension swelled within you, like charged air, ready to erupt at any moment. The deep-seated longing you had tried to suppress for so long now was overpowering any modicum of resolve that remained within you. All you could do was hope the storm would eventually pass.
Frustrated, you sat in silence for a few more minutes before the urge to speak became overwhelming.
“Loki can’t keep going on this way. Managing everything himself,” you blurted out, curling a leg under you as you shifted to face the larger-than-life Asgardian.
“Ah, and there it is. It isn’t diplomacy, or the people of New Asgard, or even me you’re worried about here. It’s my brother.”
Thor punctuated those last three words, and they hit you like bolts of lightning, electrifying every nerve in your body. You winced at the intensity of his tone, but you couldn’t deny it was the truth. Loki’s predicament weighed heavily on your mind. You knew that you needed to gather your wits and find a way to respond, but for now, all you could do was stare at Thor, a silent plea in your eyes, hoping that he would understand the depth of your concern.
“It’s all right. He’s done it before,” Thor continued, casting you a sideways glance.
“Done what before?” you asked, baffled.
“Led the people of Asgard. Without me.”
What? You’d have to address that later. Thor must have somehow noted the look of abject shock on your face because he continued to divulge as he continuously – annoyingly – tapped a button on his game controller.
“Loki has always been better at this sort of thing. Since we were mere children, he’s always had the answers to all of our problems. The problems I inevitably create.”
You straightened your back, voice resolute despite your growing nerves.
“But do you want him to leave? Forever? He’s– you’re all the other has, Thor. If you keep pushing him away– I’m afraid he feels he has no reason to stay.”
“I say this with no malice, but unlike you, I’ve known Loki for a thousand years. He is not going anywhere,” Thor replied matter-of-factly. “He cares for our people more than he’s willing to openly admit.”
“That may be true, Thor. But– ”
“And you,” he interrupted, pausing his game and looking at you, his deep blue eyes searching your own. “You are reason enough for him to stay. Certainly you’ve realized that.”
For the second time in a matter of minutes, Thor had managed to completely stun you. You were reason enough? Surely he was mistaken. Despite all the small, genial moments between you, did Loki even consider you a friend? Much less someone worth sticking around for?
You opened your mouth, but no words formed on your heavy tongue. Instead, you heard your own incredulous laugh ringing around the room. None of this made sense.
“Thor, I– ”
“You’re not gonna believe the haul we got!” Rocket interrupted, scurrying through Thor’s front door and disrupting any thoughts that had started to form in your bewildered mind.
“Well, c’mon!” the raccoon panted, beckoning you both into the yard.
It was long past dusk, but the glow of the Guardian’s ship was unmistakable along the cliffside. You waved as Nebula exited the spacecraft, rolling her eyes as Rocket excitedly pulled open a hatch revealing a collection of foreign weapons.
“Thor, you shoulda been there. I’m tellin’ ya, it was wild…”
You greeted Nebula with a teasing eye roll of your own. “Successful expedition then?”
“If you consider obtaining inferior technology successful, then yes,” she replied simply, walking over to Thor’s makeshift fire pit. A mischievous grin spread across her face, reminding you of Loki. “I would like to make a fire.”
You glanced over at Thor, who seemed quite preoccupied with Rocket’s latest collection of artillery. At least something had him excited.
“Well, then, let’s make a fire,” you responded, clapping your hands together as you searched the darkened ground for something to use as kindling. “Go grab some firewood. Thor keeps it stacked out back,” you nodded at the lean-to behind his cottage. Nebula let out a dramatic huff as she headed off to grab the wood, and you chuckled as you gathered up some dry twigs and leaves.
Minutes later, the fire crackled to life, illuminating the darkness with its warm glow. Nebula settled down next to you on one of the logs surrounding the amber blaze, looking immensely pleased with herself. Once Thor noticed the merriment happening fireside, he tore his attention away from Rocket’s collection of weapons and came over to join you. His massive frame loomed over the lapping flames, his golden hair creating an ethereal outline around his chiseled face. For a brief moment, he looked younger, raw power radiating from his being. As flickering embers rose around him, you regarded him as the impressive god he was. Yet, as he passed you a large bottle of mead, you noted the hint of weariness lingering in his eyes.
He needed to be reminded of who he used to be. Who he could still be.
“Tell us about the time you slayed the Bilgesnipe hoard,” you giddily implored, hoping to distract him by recalling one of your favorite stories. He’d told it countless times before, but it never failed to entertain.
“Bilgesnipes, eh?” murmured Rocket, curling his lip as he grabbed the mead from your clutch. “I’ve heard their teeth can fetch a pretty penny.”
“Oh, what an epic day that was!” Thor beamed, his large hand falling heavily on Rocket’s back, knocking the wind out of the raccoon. “I was in the wilds of Asgard with the great warrior Volstagg, when all of a sudden…”
You listened intently for the next ten minutes as Thor paced around the roaring fire, jovially describing the most disgusting details of the carnage he inflicted upon the mythical creatures.
“And then– ” Thor paused, eyeballing one of the discarded weapons on the ground beyond the pit. He walked over to it and picked it up, examining it with a playful snicker.
“I wielded the mighty Mjölnir, hurling it right between the antlers of the pack leader,” he said, dramatically lifting the alien artillery above his head.
“Go on then, show us how it’s done!” you shouted as you rose to your feet, feeling the effects of the Asgardian mead rush to your head. Nebula and Rocket both looked skeptical, but you egged him on, enthralled by the idea of seeing Thor wield the foreign weapon in his signature style.
He grinned, swinging the silver contraption around his head with a flourish. But just as he was about to release it toward the cliffside, the weapon malfunctioned, shooting off sparks and emitting a loud, ear-piercing screech.
Then everything went black.

It had been a long day. A long few days, Loki thought as he poured himself a cup of tea. Taking a slow sip, his keen eyes narrowed as he stared at Stormbreaker leaning against his kitchen island. It was probably time to return the axe to Thor – if he even missed it at all.
Loki was teetering on the verge of exhaustion, and hadn’t even bothered to change out of his ceremonial armor. He had spent the last three days on Vanaheim, checking in on the realm’s remaining population. He would never be able to shake the nagging responsibility he still felt to the citizens of the Nine, especially his mother’s people. Not after he had failed them on such a massive scale.
In the immediate aftermath of the Snap, Thor had joined him on these royal visits across the galaxy, but now Loki went it alone. A small part of him still felt the sting of collective disappointment from the Vanir when he arrived via the Bifrost without his brother. It wasn’t that Thor didn’t care, though, and deep down, Loki knew that. He just hoped the others understood.
You understood, at least. And even though he’d been realms away, Loki could not escape you. He didn’t want to.
Just yesterday, as he observed the Vanir children practicing seidr, one of the younglings had conjured a small orb of light, and Loki was overwhelmed with thoughts of you. How your face lit up every time he displayed even the smallest bit of magic. How your infectious wonderment was slowly chipping away at his resolve. How he felt a spark of something he thought he’d never experience again each time you touched him, always so gentle, as if you were afraid he would break…
A sudden bang made him spin around, instinctively conjuring his daggers as his mug clattered to the floor. The front door had flung open with such force that it splintered around the hinges, its agonizing creak reverberating around the cottage like a death knell.
Loki huffed, dissipating his weapons as he realized who the culprit was.
“Nebula, I have warned you– ”
“Loki.”
Something about her tone had a bitterness burning his throat – the usual monotonous cadence he’d come to expect from the humanoid had been replaced with something else. A sense of urgency? Before he could swallow down the acrid taste in his mouth and respond, all hell broke loose.
Everything happened all at once and yet Loki felt like time stopped. A guttural howl cut through the biting wind. Thor. It was a sound he’d hoped to never hear again. Loki’s heart lurched, then plummeted to the depths of the earth’s core as Nebula stepped aside, revealing his brother’s imposing form, outlined by glowing moonlight in the darkened doorway.
Thor’s shirt and forearms were smeared with a dark red substance, your slack body clutched against his chest.
No.
Loki lunged forward as Thor stumbled into the cottage. The look of sheer panic on his brother’s face sent a surge of fear into the depths of Loki’s soul.
No.
“What have you done?” Loki barked out, his hands hovering apprehensively above your body, afraid to touch you.
“They– I– I shot them, Loki,” Thor stuttered, his blue eyes conveying a portentous sorrow Loki hadn’t seen since their mother died.
NO.
This couldn’t be happening. Loki’s chest constricted as his eyes frantically darted from Thor’s stricken face to your pallid one. You looked… were you? He shook the macabre thought from his mind. No. Not you. Not if he could help it.
“Fuck! Here, put them down. Gently.” Loki quickly cleared a spot on his kitchen table with a flick of his wrist.
“Nebula,” Loki said tersely. “How did this happen? What type of weaponry did this?” He glanced at Thor, who still had not let go of your body despite it being strewn across the wooden table. Loki’s brows furrowed in earnest concentration as he returned his attention to you, magically removing your coat and sweater as his fingertips ghosted over your wound. He flicked his head to the side as he slowly, carefully began to weave his seidr around the gaping flesh.
“It was an accident. I– I swear it,” Thor sputtered, choking down a sob.
“Enough!” Loki bellowed, the intensity of his outburst causing Thor to finally release you from his grasp. “Get out of the way, you useless oaf, and let me handle this. Like I’ve always done,” Loki growled before nodding at Nebula.
“Tell me.”
“Contraxian. There was a malfunction,” Nebula answered somberly. Loki’s eyes once again focused on the laceration across your midriff, noting your breathing seemed to be a bit less labored than before.
“Accident or not, this is too much blood.” Loki’s voice was unwavering, but he could no longer conceal the anxiety creeping across his features. He just needed to stop the bleeding.
Loki steadied himself with a deep, measured breath before drawing on every bit of power he possessed. As he felt the eerily familiar surge of energy course through his veins, Loki thought back to the last time he’d been forced to access this facet of his seidr. That cursed day on the Statesman. He would not – could not – fail this time. But you’d lost so much blood already.
Far too much for a mortal.
“Can’t you do something?” his brother implored, running a hand through his wild blonde hair as he paced around the room.
“I am doing something, but I am not a healer, Thor!”
“Wake up, kid,” panted Rocket. In the brief moment Loki had taken his eyes off of you, the raccoon had hopped onto the table and was now peering down at you. A cold fury burned in Loki’s gaze as he watched the creature pat your cheek with a small paw.
Your eyes fluttered open and Loki finally exhaled the breath he didn’t realize he’d been holding in.
“See? They’re fine. It’s just a flesh wound, drama queen,” Rocket commented as he leaned over your wound, examining the tendrils of seidr. They weaved around the lesion, binding together to create a bandage of pulsating, shimmering gold. “Yeah. Yeah. I’ve seen worse– ”
That fucking furry arsehole.
“Move back, you insolent rabbit,” Loki spat, giving the raccoon a malicious glare. “And better yet, leave. Now. Before I turn you into a fur stole.”
He continued to thread his seidr around your fragile body, praying to the Norns above that it would be enough.
“Loki…” you groaned, lifting your eyes to meet his. The sound of his name on your lips sent a small rush of relief through Loki. But your dazed expression let him know that you were having trouble focusing. He wondered if you even realized what had transpired. You let out a rugged sigh as you attempted to sit up, but Loki gently pressed a steady hand against your shoulder.
“No, don’t move. Please. Conserve your energy,” he implored, running his fingers along your face.
“I’m– I’m okay.” You gave him a weak smile, reaching out to him before your eyes fluttered shut again. Loki wrapped his fingers around your trembling hand in an effort to calm you both.
“Yea– yes. You’re going to be okay,” he repeated in a whisper, unsure if it was for your benefit or his. He glanced down at the lesion again, and though his vision was slightly blurred from the tears frustratingly welling in his eyes, he could see that he’d been successful this time.
“I– I think I’ve stopped the bleeding,” he said finally, looking around the room and finding no solace there.
Exasperated and drained, he grabbed his cape from a nearby chair, wrapping it around your body before lifting you into his arms as he turned to Thor and Nebula.
“But we need the healers. Now.”
Tumblr media
Loki jolted awake at the sound of the door closing. Slivers of receding sunlight filtered through the aluminum blinds, casting long streaks of light across the modest space. It took Loki a moment to find his bearings, and he blinked slowly, watching the warm light dance across the walls.
Someone had been in your room at the clinic, and he’d slept through it. Norns, when had he dozed off?
His gaze flitted between your motionless form and the intravenous bag at your bedside. Grimacing, he wiped an embarrassing amount of dribble from his lips. Gods, I am truly losing it, he thought. He discarded the open book in his lap as he stood, stretching his aching limbs and following the attendant into the hallway.
Loki grasped the woman’s shoulder as she filed a chart, an irritated expression marring his face.
“What did you give them?” he demanded hoarsely, voice still thick with remnants of sleep.
“Something for the pain,” the nurse explained. Her voice was kind. Soft. Forgiving. It reminded Loki of his mother. It made him furious.
“While the healers were able to mend the wound and provide a sleeping spell, pain management is still necessary,” she continued.
You were in pain.
Loki huffed, warily turning back to look through the doorway at you. His brows furrowed as he regarded your current state. Was the extent of your injury so severe you needed something more than Aesir magic could provide?
He flinched when the nurse patted his shoulder. Are all Midgardian healers this bold? he wondered.
“Nothing to be concerned about,” she continued, obviously sensing his unease. “I assure you, your highness, it is a common treatment for humans.”
“Right. Of course.”
He gave a curt nod and quietly made his way back to what had to be the most wretched chair in the universe, shifting his thighs on the seat in an attempt to find a comfortable position. He glanced at you, your body lax against the meager, rigid hospital cot. At that moment, Loki made a mental note to secure funding to update the clinic’s furnishings.
By all the Nine. He never imagined this would be his life: Thinking of ways to improve the day-to-day operations of the Midgardian healthcare system. Negotiating border policies and peace treaties with diplomats. Researching patterns of pollen limitation. Reading your infuriatingly charming reports about the migration patterns of fish…
Of course, these were not things totally unfamiliar to him. He was a prince, after all. A beacon of diplomacy and guile. But Thanos had changed everything. Loki winced as he tried to shake the dark memories encroaching on his mind. He inhaled, focusing on his surroundings.
The uncomfortable chair. The fading scent of antiseptic. The acrid taste lingering on his tongue. The cool leather against his skin. The dull beeping of machines by the bed. The mortal before him.
Not just any mortal, though. You.
Your presence alone challenged the carefully measured control he held over his emotions. And, much to Loki’s chagrin, you had managed to wind your way into his heart. It had changed him in ways he had never thought possible.
Loki let out a deep sigh and pinched the bridge of his nose. He had to get a grip. But he did not leave your side.
“Can you hear me?” he asked softly, inching closer to the bed. There was no answer, only the sound of your faint snores. The sleeping spell was working, then.
You looked so meek. So fragile. It pained him to see you this way. Part of him wondered what would happen if you suddenly awoke to find him there. Would you be pleasantly surprised? Confused? Or worse, disappointed to find that he was the one watching over you?
Would you even care? His heart constricted painfully in his chest at the thought.
He concluded that he would accept whatever outcome. Any response at all would relieve him of the incessant worry churning in the pit of his stomach. He just needed to know you were going to be okay.
Loki’s eyes burned as he blinked back tears. One large hand raked through his wild curls, and he scowled as he shifted back into the seat. How could you have been so careless?
“You infuriate me.” He felt half-mad, confessing to you this way.
“You brilliant, reckless creature. It’s no wonder Thor befriended you. You’re always too eager to go along with his half-brained schemes.”
Loki, admittedly, had been reluctant to accept your friendship. He wondered now why he’d fought against it for so long. He leaned forward, cautiously caressing your cheek with the back of his fingers.
“I’ve not been a good friend to you, have I?”
He paused, recalling all the times you’d been so infuriatingly kind to him. How he wished he had not refused your invitation for tea. Perhaps if he’d been more open with you, perhaps if he had stayed…
“The way you look at me,” he continued. “The way you see me… I don’t deserve it. None of us do.”
“Thor’s guilt is slowly consuming him. And I don’t know what to do. I realize we all have our own ways of coping. Dealing with this… immense loss. What I do know is that I cannot stand by and let you become a victim of his destructive behavior.”
Loki leaned forward, taking your hand in his. What a fool he’d been, so assured that his burgeoning infatuation would pass. A lopsided smile crossed his face as he looked at you, and he finally let the walls around his heart come crashing down.
“I– I care for you, too much to let any harm come your way. I only wish I had realized it sooner.”
With a deep sigh, he rested his head on the mattress, his raven curls fanning across your thigh as his eyes fluttered closed. He never let go of your hand.
Tumblr media
This time, Loki heard when someone entered the room but didn’t bother moving away from your bedside.
“I’ve never seen the prince act with such concern for anyone,” a lilted voice commented.
“I have known Loki his entire life. And though he may often refuse to acknowledge his own feelings, I have no doubt he cares fiercely for those he loves.”
Loki frowned, recognizing the second voice immediately. It was Eir, Odin’s former head physician and now New Asgard’s top healer.
“I’m awake, you know,” Loki finally responded when he heard the younger healer leave the room.
“Yes, and that’s exactly why I said what I said.” Eir cast Loki a cautious glance as he righted himself, a glow of seidr washing over him, concealing any lingering signs of exhaustion.
“You cannot hide from me, boy. You’ve been sitting vigil here for nearly a full day. And don’t think I’m unaware of the toll the magicks you wielded to stabilize your friend took on your body. When was the last time you actually slept, Loki?”
The nerve. Loki stood to his full height in an attempt to regain some semblance of power. He peered down at the old healer, her keen glare meeting his own. Her silver brows furrowed, wrinkles carving an ancient map across her face. Loki sometimes wondered if she was as old as the Norns themselves.
“That is no concern of yours, Eir,” Loki responded haughtily, rolling his shoulders back and regally tossing his dark locks over his shoulder. “And I would remind you to not speak so casually when in the presence of the crowned prince of Asgard, lest you forget your place again.”
Of course, Eir was right, and he knew it. Perhaps that is what bothered him most of all.
He had to get out of here. He didn’t want to leave you, but he knew he couldn’t stay another minute. Loki bundled his cape in one large fist and strode past her.
“Your friend is going to be okay, Loki. I promise you, by Frigga’s grace.”
Loki froze at the mention of his mother’s name. He closed his eyes as his fingers curled around the doorframe, bracing himself for an impact that never came. Still, he did not turn around.
“Once the sleeping charm wears off, we’ll discharge them. Likely sometime tomorrow morning. Do you want to be informed when that happens?”
Finally, Loki glanced over his shoulder, his narrowed eyes flitting from you back to Eir.
“Ah, no. No, that won’t be necessary.” He turned and walked into the hallway before exalting a final command.
“You will alert my brother when it is time to accompany our friend back home, understood?”
He didn’t wait for the response.

💬 ┊ Blood: How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?
💌 ┊ . . .
Nene wouldn't dare to scare you off and she isn't willing to get her hands dirty, what if you will hate her if she does something bad like hurting another? The thought scares her to the core so she never want to disappointed you in any ways, she wants you to adore her as much as she adore you...
"Hey Nene, are you okay? You've been staring at my face for a quite while..."
"Eek?!"
...you never know how hard she tried to get your attention, everything she does is for you, hoping you would return the feelings one day.
💬 ┊ Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?
💌 ┊ . . .
Nene dream of a simple and sweet love life with you, supporting each other and hanging out on your day offs. Maybe in the far future, she could live together with you, playing video games and she get to see you first thing in the morning before starting the day...she doesn't have that much confidence to begin with but maybe with you, she doesn't have to worry about that cuz just being near you is enough to make her on cloud nine. She haven't gotten the courage to ask you out herself so she is secretly hoping you would have the same feelings and ask her that life-changing question...
"...(name)..."
"Hmm? What's wrong?"
"Uh... nevermind... I just want to say... your name..."
💬 ┊ Mask: Are their true colors drastically different from the way they act around everyone else?
💌 ┊ . . .
Nene is not that much different from how she act around her friends and family than how she act around you but people may notice the constant stares she may give while you aren't looking. She get all flustered whenever you just happen to notice her staring and this lead to some teasing from her friends...
"I see you're staring at your crush again?"
"O-Oh... I...wasn't staring..."
"NENE HAS A CRUSH!!?"
"...! D-Don't say it so loud..!"
💬 ┊ Tears: How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?
💌 ┊ . . .
When your eyes starts to get all teary, feeling worried, Nene try to reach out "... hey, are you okay..?" but before she can wipe a tear, a loud slap echo through the halls. Blinking in disbelief as she stare at her hand "(n-name)...?" She flinched when she saw the irritated look in your clear (color) eyes, why do you look so hurt and betrayed...? She didn't know why, couldn't move a muscle, fearing it will worsen your mood more than it already is.
It's feel like she couldn't breathe as you stare her down but to her relief, you look away
"... whatever, it's not like you can understand how I feel"
"hey...wait...I don't understa-"
Ignoring her calls, you turn your back on the girl, refusing turn back...not even once as you walk off, feeling bitter...if only you turn back, you would have seen her sorrowful eyes, tearing up as she was forced to stare after your figure, disappearing into a corner as if trying to hide your very existence from her watchful eyes.
Nene couldn't understand...
She just couldn't understand what you mean by what you told her...
Did she do something wrong to make you hate her?
Then something inside her shattered into pieces, it was as if it was waiting for the moment to sink in...she finally broke down, weeping as the world die down...a soft whisper could be heard if one choose to listen...
 "I'm sorry..."

💬 ┊ Blood: How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?
💌 ┊ . . .
Behind her sweet facade, laid a twisted side that Mafuyu rarely show, she prefer using psychological methods instead of violence, manipulating her enemies into questioning their own sanity by the end of the day, she is an expert at hiding her own tracks...
"Mafuyu, remember the girl who was kinda rude to me the other day?"
"Hmm, I remember her, why? Did something happened between you two again?"
"Uh, well she suddenly approach me earlier to apologize but...the weird thing is there is something about her was...off...I can't explain it..."
"I think she probably just feel so guilty about it that she is...so shaken to think about the consequences of her actions if someone just so happen to hold a grudge against her..."
"Oh..so you think she got in trouble with the wrong crowd and that's why she is acting like that?...I guess it's make sense?"
"Don't worry about it too much, you should eat your lunch while you still can"
"Oh shoot...!"
Oh how naive you can be, (name)...
💬 ┊ Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?
💌 ┊ . . .
The future where you are smiling without a care in the world, that's the kind of future she wants to see the most. She simply want what was best for you so whether you get many injuries by tripping yourself over for being such a klutz or you accidentally cut yourself somehow, she want to take care of you to make sure you are healthy and happy...
"Did you trip over yourself again, (name)?"
"U-Uh yeah, I didn't see where I was going... sorry to keep on bothering you to patch me up, I'm not...a burden to you, am I?"
"Oh, not at all. I'm happy to patch you up anytime"
💬 ┊ Mask: Are their true colors drastically different from the way they act around everyone else?
💌 ┊ . . .
Not to a certain degree, Mafuyu seems to have a gift for keeping up appearances in front of other people but there is one difference between in the company of others and you...
"...so is there no one going to tell her that whenever she see (name), her eyes lit up but with everyone else, her eyes are just blank?"
"..."
"..."
"Um..."
"Really? NO ONE?"
"Let's just... leave her alone for now"
💬 ┊ Tears: How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?
💌 ┊ . . .
When Mafuyu found you crying in the back of the school building, she was a little startled when your eyes look reddish and clear tear stains on your soft cheeks as if you were crying for quite a while.
You were crying...
Who dare to make you cry like this?
"Come on... let's go and wash your face, okay?"
"O-Okay"
You poor thing could barely mumble a single word with your throat so sore from crying your heart out earlier... whoever was it, she will deal with them later but now, her first priority is comforting you at the moment.
·̩̩̥͙*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙˚·̩̩̥͙*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙˚·̩̩̥͙*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙˚·̩̩̥͙*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙˚·̩̩̥͙*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙˚·̩̩̥͙*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙˚·̩̩̥͙*•̩̩͙

💬 ┊ Blood: How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?
💌 ┊ . . .
Toya like to keep his hands clean as much as possible if he can, his go to method is isolating his darling as much as possible so he won't have to worried about having you been taken away from him...
"Toya, why do you still hang out with me even with those bad rumors about me?"
It was lunch time when you suddenly ask him that question, putting down his chopsticks, Toya glance over to you looking so dejected that almost makes him feel bad for what he did.
"...I just don't believe those rumors about you, I think you're a good person at heart"
"Really...? I...thank you for trusting me..."
"Yeah..."
You only need him in your life, no one else matters because he will leave you behind...
💬 ┊ Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?
💌 ┊ . . .
He want his darling to heavily reliant on him for most of your life if possible, he let you to meet his friends whenever he needs to practice for the next performance. Toya wouldn't force you to trust them completely but he doesn't want you to be friendless either so he hope you can feel comfortable enough to considering them as your only friends...after they are people he can truly trusted with you.
"Toya, can I go with you to your practice again today?"
"Sure, are you sure you will be okay with them?"
"Yeah...they are nice people so I... want to be their friend since they are your friends too...so uh..."
He think it's cute that you feel awkward to make friends with his band mates but he is glad that you're still you even after you got isolated by everyone else.
💬 ┊ Mask: Are their true colors drastically different from the way they act around everyone else?
💌 ┊ . . .
Toya is a worrywart when it's come to you so he is slightly more talkative which people notice it since he is always so calm and quiet, it's rare to see him seem... lively in an odd way...
"Toya seem... different"
"Yeah, it's weird..."
"I guess someone like him can get carried away  by something too if he try"
💬 ┊ Tears: How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?
💌 ┊ . . .
He was really caught off guard when you come into the room and started crying in his arms, patting your back to soothe you as your tears wet his shirt and he didn't need to ask that what make you like this...he wait for you to tell him yourself....for a while, you two stay like that in complete silence...
"Feeling a bit better now?"
"Y-Yeah, I'm sorry for crying so much..."
"It's okay, I... don't mind it actually"
You don't need other people to be happy with life...you only need him by your side and you won't leave him for another, after all it's only him who can understand your pain...
