making gifs is a character-building exercise in that it gives u a lot of weird complexes and u form new grudges against people you dont know like i think im a worse person rn because i AM wishing evils and crimes and horrible wounds on every socmed intern/editor who puts flickering graphics and lights in their high-res videos BUT! i also think i now have a deep appreciation and fear for people who make really beautiful gifs . i find myself admiring recolouring techniques and wondering if its appropriate to message someone and ask what curves/filters they used. <3

#people who have a good eye for cropping... teach me yuor wisdom.........#also sidebar. gifs sometimes being the ONLY record of videos that are long-deleted... i mentioned it to a friend yesterday and i've been #thinking about it nonstop since. i am now thinking of how many of MY gifs and my friends gifs will be the only record of these videos...#if one day the videos get taken down because twt exploded... or like if a team page just gets hacked/nuked....#not to mention gameday broadcast segments that never get saved to ANYWHERE!!!! like we're out here screenrecording that shit RAW!!!!!!!#and its not THEE most fastidious archival practice but . u know?? its all we have. sports media love 2 never archive their content #fuck sport media all my girlies (gender neutral) hate sport media #puckposting
