I have a sinking suspicion that the point is going to be that Din ends up having to take it back and become Mand’alor even though he doesn’t want to (and he’s been pretty clear about not wanting to be ruler since he got the Darksaber). That it’ll turn out that Bo isn’t actually fit to be ruler despite what she led the Armorer to believe and will start falling back on her old amoral ways and Din will have to choose between getting to live a quiet life or doing what’s right by taking the Darksaber back and ruling Mandalore benevolently. That’s what I’m thinking at the moment at least.

okay so what was the fucking point of giving din the darksaber, having him train and learn to weild it, only for the blade to be given back to bo?

#I will acknowledge that this season seems more messy and directionless than seasons one and two were #and not just because the cast and scope got bigger that was already happening in season two #I blame the bobf show and disney meddling #because the rumor is that season three was supposed to be split between din with the mandos and grogu with the jedi #but disney freaked at the idea of the show’s “mascot”/merchandising hog appearing less and demanded grogu be sent back to din asap #not to mention bobf itself was almost certainly the result of disney meddling as an arc of mando expanded into a miniseries #on disney orders for Dat MCU Emulation #it definitely threw the whole game off for the mandalorian crew #the spin-off shit was a mistake #bobf and the upcoming ahsoka show should’ve just been kept as subplots for mando #keep it all in one place don’t pull that mcu “you have to watch everything” shit on Star Wars #a series practically built on having multiple entry points
