my love for taylor swift does not outweigh my snobbery so that’s to say i really wish martin mcdonagh got paired with someone else for directors on directors lmao

#not to discredit her work but that short film was essentially a glorified music video #a really good one!! but just super different from what mcdonagh does #and he’s probs the director on the list I would be like…#most interested in hearing from and i just think that like #anyone who is paired with tswift will be overshadowed #and i don’t think she would have that much in common with his directorial style #for it to be particularly worthwhile to put them together #i wish they paired her with another short film director or mv director #maybe riz ahmed since his short film came out last year and was v good #dana rants
