Ahaha, this is an interesting question!

Well, I (Mod X) initially got the idea after seeing so many offensive (victim-blaming and/or anti-Autistic and/or misogynistic and/or transphobic, etc, etc) takes in the GO fandom, mostly about Aziraphale, and feeling powerless after having tried to discuss them with the people who wrote them and being met with more victim-blaming, denial, and in some cases outright verbal ab*se. (Like, really really bad verbal ab*se. It was wild.)

At first it was just an idle daydream.

If it had been just me that was affected, or if it had only been a couple people making the bad takes, I wouldn't have gone anywhere with it. But once I realized I wasn’t the only fan who was being hurt, it started to sound like it'd be worthwhile to actually make it.

I had been throwing the idea around for I believe a couple months, but I felt like it wouldn't make sense to actually start the blog unless I could find a take that was so clearly, obviously, unapologetically wrong and harmful, without any disingenuity or subtlety, that literally no one could look at it and come up with an argument that it wasn't wrong, and start off with that. And I didn't think I would find one like that because the hateful people in this fandom are sneaky and disingenuous and good at cloaking their bigotry in the language of respectability, and DARVO-ing people who are offended by their bigotry, and the like.

I didn’t want to start off with a post that just said like, “These takes about Aziraphale give me the ick”.

But then one Azi hater lost it enough to come out and honest-to-god actually write the literal words “Aziraphale doesn't have depression because depression doesn't exist".

(And that one was also a good one for me to start with because my degree is in psychology and I worked in psychology research for over six years. So I had the bona fides to back up my rebuttal. And I knew the right scientific, authoritative sources to point to in order to explain why OP was wrong. Instead of just being like “Everyone knows depression exists”. If that makes sense.)

I didn’t think anyone would ever actually say anything that ludicrous. But they did. For some reason they actually went there.

And I was like, “Okay, here it is. If I start with this one, I can write an ironclad refutation. And this blog might actually do some good”.

And so I created a Crowley-coded email address and fired up a silly little blog.

And to my amazement, within two weeks we were getting so many comments that I couldn’t keep up with them all, and Mod M kindly agreed to join the team, and then Mod D, and they are GREAT.

And now five months later here we are, still going strong (and still possibly the most hated blog in the fandom 😁), and I couldn't be prouder.

The SaMs/LaEs Monty hater in me that skips any and all episodes where it's just Monty+Another character (Like Earth, Lunar, or Moon). I even skip gameplays with him in it. He's only ever nice and decent to Earth, and Lunar by extension. Can't even be nice to other people that Earth cares about. My girl deserves better, I'm sorry, I had to say it. I don't care if he "treats her well", that's the bare minimum. Spoiling her with gifts feels like love-bombing to me or maybe that's just me nitpicking because of what I went through in a previous relationship. But anyway, point is Earth deserves better! He still secretly calls her mommy, like mumbling it and it's ick!

I think Monty stopped calling her Mommy a long time ago. He only called her that during his first meeting with her. And maybe one or two times after that, but... Eh... Shrug.

I do think Monty is an interesting character, but since he's left the main circle cast of TSAMS and got his own show with MAFS, I feel his intelligence has gone down significantly.

They focus more on his rage, and he tends to be more stupid, when in the early days of TSAMS, he was overly cautious when it came to Evil people but he was just stupid with money.

It is interesting to see his character evolve, but I kinda wish we could go back to what he had.

I do like morally grey Characters, and like... Monty is quite an interesting asshole. But I will give him this, he is entertaining for me.

I don't expect my characters in media to behave logically sometimes. And I have a mixed relationship with the direction they're taking Monty right now....

And I'm one of those people who doesn't like him with Earth that much.

At the bare minimum, we know his war crimes were fake, as he admitted in their therapy.

But like...

He has actively threatened Earth's family, (Lunar, Solar... and Ruin if he counts) he has threatened children, and not just FC. In the recent LAES episode, he kinda hinted that he beat up a few children who threw golf balls at him and Earth is just like "haha you're silly." (looking back, she probably thought she was joking)

I mean... they're cute. He treats her nice. But that's the bare minimum.

I feel she can do a whole lot better.

I get that "opposites attract" and everything....

But at some point...

There's a limit.

It almost feels they have nothing in common and are just together cus the vas are dating.

I get that Monty "showed her the world" or whatever and opened her heart to romance. but that could have been anyone....

The episode where Monty faked he was being sick just to cuddle with Earth in MAFS was my least favorite episode and actively triggered me just cause of how closely it resembled abusive relationships I've been in before.

Earth even knowing he's lying but tolerating it cus she likes him to stick around.... FC asking what they love about eachother, and neither of them really have a good answer..... As they both only like eachother for what they can do for eachother. Earth liking that Monty opened her up to new experiences, and Monty liking Earth for what she can do for him. Which to me, feel very surface level.

I've heard people argue: "well, you can't just list on the spot what you like about someone."

Yes I can. I can literally do that with all of my friends and it's a long list and it's not just things that they do for me, it's who they are as a person and more substantial things to little things.

I know Monty and Earth have only been dating for a few months, but I think they would have had more they liked about eachother by now.

So is this me heavily projecting? yeah. Is it wrong if people like Monty and Earth Together? No way! Honestly ship them if you like.

But honestly, for me personally I need something more substantial.

Monty is literally her opposite and they don't have much in common and actively hurts kids and her family when it was something Earth would put her foot down in any other scenario.

anyway just so i don’t sound like a hater my fav characters are onjo, hari & mijin, and cheongsan. onjo was so good at split second emergency life-saving decisions, she first experienced the outbreak at the cafeteria and you get to see her initial shock, freeze stage but she was able to move quick and utilize things she sees around her for survival. the fire extinguisher, the phone, the fire hose reel, etc. she’d always given the most useful ideas too like yeahhhhh. i cried when she held onto isak til the very end, the editing for that part was so good the way they showed us their bff memories and the last flashback scene was them eating odeng as isak leaves the frame so onjo is left alone.. the emotions, the music, my heart… it’s even sadder when you know by the end of the season onjo would lose everyone she cared about the most, her best friend isak, her dad, and cheongsan 😭

My god, this is going to sound SO silly but I NEED to vent or I'm going to explode.

Do not misunderstand me, I don't want to sound like one of those Beetlebabes haters who use age to complain about the ship even if it's meaningless, but seeing people EXPLICITLY sexualize underage Lydia is TRAUMATING to say the least.

Like, I'm not here to complain about these people because it would be very naive of me to think that they're going to stop because of me or any nonsense like that but... You know what, you bring up a good topic here. Before we start. I don't kink shame people because it's just not me. However! I had moments when I was younger (early 20's) that freaked me out when it came to over-sexualizing things (in my case it was bellydancers because that was my hobby at the time) but after a while, I sorta just stopped worrying about it because like you said, it won't change how people feel about their proclivities. The same goes for fandom. I ick after things too. (Example: the Dora the Explorer stuff. holy shit) Today, I learn that the best way to go about it is to not look for it. Don't seek the stuff that ick's ya. I don't much care for baby toon Lyds in adult situations but I can separate the idea that Lydia is an actual real person. I can take a story as just that. A story. As for art, I do not like Loli stuff. It's an ick for me. But I also don't judge a person for enjoying it. I would prefer to avoid it and I set my boundaries with my friends accordingly.

Let's say you are a Shipper

Age of consent is a big deal for most here, including myself, but we are also realistic in the sense that many don't think that people give teens enough credit for their own biological functions. Let's take a step back to reality for a moment. 100%, It's not right for a real-life person to act on things like taking advantage of youth and naivete. However, it can not be dismissed that many people in their youth made choices based on their overactive hormones. I recall being one such teen where I allowed myself to act out in ways that, as an adult, I CRINGE at. To have Lydia as a 16-18 year-old act out with an undead creep feels plausible. Does everyone here feel that's a comfortable read? No, not at all. Many, like me, prefer to have an older, more informed Lydia make choices that work for her. Now about Beetlejuice. First off. He's a creep. If it's got tits or whatever suits his fancy, he's gonna jump on it. He's always been that way in media. Except with Lydia. His respect for her, and his treatment of her have always been different from other people. He'll probably take any advantage given to him and if his death was during a plague-riddled time then his view of human women could easily be skewed. Again it comes to how comfortable you are with his characterization. Do you want him chasing a 12-year-old, a 16-year-old, or an adult? Do you think he would go for body type? Do you think he would choose feelings over physical desires? Your best bet in navigating the whole Betelyds/Beetlebabes dynamic comes from understanding yourself. Are you confident in separating your choices in romance from alternate depictions? Do you prefer a more Ace approach of no romance/sexuality? Do you like a soft romance with no raunch? Do you want sexuality and passion in a more adult setting? Check with tags. Look for underage warnings. Talk to writers and artists to see what they do. Skim over or remove yourself from places that ick ya. Ask questions of yourself and others. There is no harm in discovering your boundaries and respecting those who have set theirs.

Now let's say you are a Friendshipper only.

You want Beej and Lyds to be pals with a slight affection for each other that defies a normal buddy pal. Maybe they have something that can't be defined as a friend but also not a romantic relationship. I like to consider this Babes Adjacent. They are not romantically linked but they are bonded. Soul mates without being physical mates. We have plenty of Babes who love friendship just as much. Some prefer to be called non-shippers, and others don't really care. They just wanna vibe. Some of them like Kid Lyds and her ghostly Boo. They support and care and protect each other like there is no tomorrow. It's painfully sweet and heartbreakingly loving. So many of us need that in our lives. Unconditional support and protection from things that make us hurt. In this case search for the & and not the / if you can. If folks are willing to send me art and fics where this bond is emphasized, I'd appreciate it. I admit I have a fear of finding a fic of someone who is gonna freak when they see my screen name and go "Noooooooo not a Beetlebabe!". That's a stress I don't enjoy. I just wanna vibe and watch these two dorks be happy with each other. Now to address your last fear, that you feel like a dirty p-word. All you gotta do is know where you stand on your attraction. It comes down to knowing yourself. Personally, I like an older man and older lady (Bi-mama here) but I don't shy away from stories with younger characters. i always kinda tolerated dr3, but recently he really icks me, and most of it comes from the sloth incident.. but like really, he always feels the need to make jokes that are sometimes way out of line and really not needed, and are not the right place/time-thing to make those kind of jokes and what you mentioned previously, he just gives more ammo to haters whilst he knows how rude the media/people can be. i wonder how he would feel if that would happen to him, i don't think he would like it either (max looked really uncomfortable in that vid ;( )

Honestly I’ve kinda been turned off Daniel since I looked past the humor mode he has. Looking back into DTS s1 and his reaction to that compared to Max’s is crazy. Max being the first to defend Lando after DTS made him look like the awful teammate to Daniel like they did to 19 year old Max meanwhile the driver who was painted in the best light stayed silent. I didn’t like that at all especially when you look at how young Max was and also that was the first impression many got of Max and Daniel should have called it out.

Also the attitude since he lost his seat is a bit silly. Talking about how he’ll only join a top team when firstly he ran away from a top team and teammate and secondly after his stint in Mclaren I can’t see Merc or Ferrari jumping for him. For a man who’s only won races his ego is crayz to me when you compare it to Max’s. I understand thinking you are the best but saying it after that two year stint is a bit ridiculous.

A ship I have with said character: I have several! Tamao x Rui (TamaRui) is my primary and my favorite because that was my canon, but I also have such soft spots for Tamao x Fumi (TamaFumi), Tamao x Kaoruko (TamaKao) and Tamao/Ichie/Fumi.

A BROTP I have with said character: In the instance where they're not shipped, I really love my best friendship with Fumi and Ichie. As goes with Kaoruko and Futaba, too! another one I can't wait to see more of is Tamao and Mahiru because of the illustration poll for the anniversary!

A random headcanon: just to be cute I asked Sun to give me random yukina headcanons from her perspective and I really like some of the ones she wrote so I'll put them here! "you hum to yourself to help concentrate and when you're happy. A small hum from yuki means you're smiling, even if you’re not actually!" // "a kitty related one, I feel like you can, similar to how you can name a song based on a single note, accurately name any cat breed you see, or any cat colors or coat patterns" // "You’re secretly really good at video games, and no one knows why, since you dedicate so much time to music" which is a really silly one in retrospect, and another one she wrote i love the most is she said yukina and lisa would often bake together ! i agree with that one 🥺

General Opinion over said character: maybe there's a liiiiiitle bit of a bias going on because we both kin her hehe, but of course I love Yukina! We've talked about it before but I loved learning that she shares the same va as Claudine! It's so funny listening to bandori songs next to revstar songs because I have a hard time separating Aina's voice from Claudine still hdaksahsskdsd I relate very much to her passion for cats and her dedication to her friends and band. I can't wait to learn more!

Welcome to my humble blog! My name is Bunni (she/they/he)— you can call me any rendition of that, whatever you can come up with is fine — and I’ll be your writer. I’m a “veteran writer” (feels silly considering how old I actually am) on tumblr, but I haven’t actually written anything in almost two years now. Since this is an entirely new blog for an entirely new me I definitely need to do some proper introductions!

Who is Bunni?

Well, I’m an eighteen year old college student as of right now. I plan on attending college for the next four years, though my major is undecided, it’s likely I’ll end up in something to do with East Asian culture. I will be spending my summers working at my sub-par, but well paying job, and writing here in my free time. I love to write (obviously), draw, and sing! Twst is my current special interest, but other media I like (but tend to avoid the fandoms for) are Genshin Impact, Obey Me, Project Sekai and quite a few anime. If you have any questions about me, just ask!

Who are Bunni’s favorite twst characters? 

To keep it simple, I’ll list my top three with a little explanation (spoilers for chapters 1-4):

1. Azul Ashengrotto - I took one look at this man and fell in love. Azul isn’t exactly my type design wise, the only thing thats consistent with all my faves is the white hair, but his personality and backstory are really what makes me love him so much. Something about him being a huge asshole who has a lot of trauma and is only using a front to get along in life is so... yum. It’s just yum to me. The bullying is something I could relate to a lot with him, and I really like it when fictional men are unhinged and mean. God I could kiss him. Anyway, I could actually go on for hours about Azul so I’ll leave it there.

2. Vil Schoenheit - I was a Vil hater at first -- honestly most of us were, even if you say you aren’t you’re definitely a liar. I think he grew on me a lot after reading cards and finally watching chapter six. The biggest thing that both icked me out and drew me to him was the way he represented his own gender. A gender fluid queen, honestly. When I started twst I wasn’t all that confident and comfortable in my gender identity yet, I hadn’t had anyone or anything affirm it. Then Vil came along and it scared the fuck out of me, then seeing more of him helped me grow to love him and slowly accept who I was. Really fucking lame, I know.

3. Floyd and Jade Leech - NO I AM NOT LUMPING THEM TOGETHER BECAUSE THEY’RE TWINS, OKAY??? I’m lumping them together because I literally cannot pick which one I like more, okay? Anyway, both of them are silly funny goofy, absolute sillies. I really like how their personalities are foils of each other. Jade is the seemingly normal innocuous one while Floyd is the scary unhinged one, when its literally the opposite when they let their true colors show. Like, yes Floyd is a little silly in the head, but Jade is literally exactly what Floyd presents himself as. Meanwhile, Floyd just wants to go with the flow and vibe. I like them.

What are Bunni’s boundaries?

I’m terrible at talking about my boundaries, but I suppose I’ll add them later as I go. The biggest one, though, is that when I say ‘no’ I mean it. I do not take well to being pressured. I have the right to refuse any request, and I may or may not write yours. If I chose not to write yours, respect that. Arguing gets us nowhere.

the only one that can actually do it is neji because a) this man is talented af and b) he’s got the long hairrr

also asks everyone for their blood type and zodiac signs and tells them if they’re compatible with her or not

and definitely judges you for your sign 😣

makes bouquets for her favorite people and kin assigns everyone a flower

one of her favorite hobbies is crafting! she’s really good with details and small things so she loves making those miniature dollhouses and stuff

also really good at watercoloring. especially painting flowers and landscapes

also i feel like she would be really good at playing any instrument because of her skilled hands

would honestly rather die than get anywhere NEAR an asparagus

he just thinks they’re so gross and bitter and NOT SALTY

he always eats his yakiniku a little bit undercooked because he’s way too impatient to wait for it to cook fully. who do you think he is??

whenever he cloud gazes with shikamaru, when asked what he thinks a cloud looks like, he just says some sort of food

“oi, choji, what does that one look like to you?”

“a... yakiniku grill... with... pineapple rings on it! ooh, and a wagyu steak right there!”

he thinks pringles are an abomination to society. where’s the crisp? where’s the grease? where’s the saltiness?!!!

asks ino to teach him how to do his hair all fancy and the two of them devote an entire day learning different hairstyles

it’s his new favorite thing to do now :D

he really likes crayons!!!!

like he’ll write with them, draw with them, color with them, do everything with them

he’s even tried to eat them. he said they tasted good.

definitely had the 128 crayon pack WITH THE BUILT-IN SHARPENER, and everyone thought he was the coolest kid in town

he ate it UP, he even scored some bbq dates with the ladies

i also feel like he loves basketball, and he has a MEAN slam dunk

like his vertical isn’t that high, but the man can REACH

he seems like a cucumber kind of guy.

it’s mellow and cool, just like him!

speaking of, i feel like he lives for spa days and facials

it just lets him be alone in his little cucumber scented world for an hour or two and he gets damn clear skin from it as well

seriously he has PERFECT skin. flawless. not a single blemish. his cheeks feel like baby butts they’re so smooth.

i feel like he’d be a god at solving rubik’s cubes, don’t ask me why

like if anyone scrambled theirs on accident they would just take it to neji and he’d solve it in the blink of an eye

CAT PERSON!!! loves the little meow meows

who are we kidding, neji basically is a cat; agile, aloof, does silly things without trying to, very cute

he just feels akin to the little fuzzballs and he thinks petting cats are extremely therapeutic. good for the soul

he is a golf man. he would take his juniors golfing and everyone thinks he’s uncool. cmon neji let them go to the skate park at least T-T

also very good at karaoke, definitely surprised everyone once he got a few drinks in him since he started serenading you

LIGHTWEIGHT!!! do not get more than one shot of alcohol in him. he will go berserk.

i also feel like he’d really love photography; not taking pictures of people, but of nature

he loves taking a quiet stroll through a pretty forest and snapping pictures of all the unique flora and fauna

ROCK LEE

lee then asked if naruto wanted a rematch, this time with one hand tied behind lee’s back

naruto obliged, and he STILL lost

RIP naruto and his fangirls, they all scrambled to lee afterwards T-T

i feel like his favorite subject is science

not the boring physics equations and laws and theories but the fun EXPERIMENTS

definitely has singed all of his hair off one time and he went to gai blubbering to help him grow back his precious hair

but he loves experimenting with different combinations and chemicals to get different reactions each time

created a potent love potion and carried it around with him all day one day

and it was actually working

girls were flocking to him left and right, staring at his lips and his face

he was so abashed at the sudden attention

heck, it even worked on sakura

her eyes shifted downwards to his lips and his heart thumped harder

TENTEN

has THE prettiest handwriting. and she can write SUPER fast

it’s like a superpower

like she transcribed five pages of a report in less than two minutes with perfect handwriting

naruto is so jealous.

she is also super good at origami! those diligent, accurate hands aren’t just for throwing things

taught sakura how to make shurikens but does NOT endorse any violent uses of them

she can replicate all of her weapons with paper and they can actually function, it’s so cool

made paper kunai knives one day and the wholeee village wanted to get their hands on them

i feel like she’d listen to mitski. idk i just get those vibes

LOVES BIG DOGS!! especially fluffy wuffy samoyeds

like man’s best friend?? no, GIRL’S BEST FRIEND!!

hugs and cuddles and squishes all the big dogs

she thinks small dogs are spawns of satan

sakura and her have definitely quarreled over this

but at the end of the day, all dogs are adorable fur babies, so she lets it slide :,)

KIBA

kiba always looks SO GOOD in photos you take of him, candid or not

like you could just whip out a camera and snap a photo of him at any given moment and he would look perfect

you framed a picture of him yelling at akamaru for peeing inside the house

i feel like he tries to swagger around with his hands shoved in his pockets but it fails MISERABLY and the girls are wondering if he broke his leg or something 😭

kiba just walk normally. for the love of god please just walk normally.

he tries to slump back in his chair really low but one time he slouched way too low so he slipped off of his chair and onto the ground LMFAOOOO

he just wallowed there... in shame...

also.. he LOVES when the girls put makeup on him!!

he tries to act like he hates it. but it secretly gives him so much confidence

not to mention the girls hyping him up are a huge ego boost

okay the inside of his jacket hood is the warmest. thing. EVER!!!

seriously, no wonder this dude is so happy-go-lucky all the time, he’s living in literal heaven 24/7

it’s like you’re sleeping on a cloud inside a warm, cozy bed during a cold winter morning

10/10 would recommend letting him give you his sweatshirt when you’re chillin with a hair tie ❤️

HINATA

always smells like lavender soap. always

also has the cutest pencil pouches with little puppy faces and kawaii things

oH and she has those mini yoobi highlighters, she thinks they’re so cute (and functional!)

everyone flocks to her to try them out and marvel at the cute tiny highlighters

and they try to steal them from her but she doesn’t even stop them because she’s too timid to 😭

naruto goes BALLISTIC over them

she lets him have all of them <3

tennis girl!!! tennis girl.

all of her opponents always underestimate her because she’s so timid and shy and quiet

but she has a KILLER serve

and then she takes her opponents to the slaughterhouse with a complete shutout ;)

she’s really athletic believe it or not, she can beat most of the boys in a mile run and she has incredible endurance

i feel like she really loves velvet scrunchies

she just thinks they’re so pretty and they keep her hair soft so they’re cute and functional

also takes the PRETTIEST notes!!

color codes, dividers, headers, you name it, it’s all super readable too its insane

everyone asks her for her notes, not to study but just to appreciate the pure artwork that it is ^w^

shino is SO easy to prank

even when everyone’s laughing their asses off, he still continues to explain his answer since he does NOT GET THE JOKE

had one of those ant farms and bug-catching kits as a kid

and he would fill the kit TO THE BRIM. LIKE IT WAS HEAVY BECAUSE THERE WERE SO MANY BUGS.

he loves the little chitters of the different bugs

he had jars of different bugs all lined up on a wall shelf in his room

collects silkworms off of trees and sticks them into his pockets (no i definitely did not do this as a kid...)

HELP I FEEL LIKE he would record a timelapse of his ant farm growing and upload it to youtube with a movie maker title screen that says

“my ants”
