i've been meaning to ask this to someone who has actual opinions on afycso (you, the recently designated afycso-among-other-things mutual) but what exactly was it that made i write sins not tragedies one of the emo Songs of All Time? (aside from perhaps the music video?) maybe my taste is just wack but i really don't hear it

Yeah imo its pretty low on the list of songs off fever, and like obv the music video is great but like. why not but its better if you do or smth. I get it doing better than a lot of the songs tho bc obv its a single and more just straight poppy/rock than some of the other stuff and also ofc catchy so like i get it but it feels like it just gets more and more mediocre the more other stuff i listen to? obviously i still love it bc of all the memories and stuff which im sure is a huge draw for a lot of ppl. idk big cello fan tho
