OKAY so, this poll has ended and damn, these results are actually better than I was expecting! 210 votes, 64% yes, 26% maybe, I'd say that's pretty positive!
So, I think I'm confident enough after this interest check to put things in motion, starting with the Hermitcat stickers! Because I already have that art ready to go, so I may as well!
I'm going to order some samples first, just to make sure they all look good. And then after that, if all goes well, I'll see about making them available for people to buy! Right now I think I'm going to open my shop on KoFi, (Etsy fees scare me and BigCartel's free version is a bit limited) but we'll see!
Since it will just be that first few for sale to start with, stock may be a bit limited. But, if those sell well and there's enough interest, then I'll open up preorders for another batch!
I might also get some charms made of a couple of the cats, but we'll see ~
For now, keep an eye out for updates, I'll post on this blog to let you guys know how things are progressing! ^^
Multiple artists I follow have been making charms and stickers and things recently, and it's got me wondering if I could do something like it too. I've always kinda wanted to make stickers, but custom charms and pin badges sound fun too!
The first thing I want to do is turn the Hermitcat drawings into stickers, I think they'd make really good stickers! And maybe some of them into charms as well. They'd be so cute!
I wanted to ask before I did anything, since I don't want to spend time and money making these things just for nobody to care pfft
I've been doodling some possible charm ideas though, just to experiment :3

Hi, I've been thinking about getting into making merch, like stickers and acrylic charms, and I was wondering there was any advice or suggestions you might have for other's doing the same?
under cut
maybe it’s not what you wanna hear but it is pricey and an investment to order merch from manufacturers/suppliers. Make sure you have some savings. For stickers, I don’t order them but I make them myself with a sticker cutting machine, printer, and sticker paper, which you can imagine was pricey to get (to do stickers this way is a longterm investment).
To find a charm supplier, google is your best friend. Popular charm suppliers are zap creatives, chillypig, and acorn press. All these are in the US or UK, so if you’re outside of these you may be able to find a local supplier through google that’ll be cheaper.
Suppliers almost always have a MOQ (minimum order quantity); basically you must order above a certain amount (ie. chillypig is 10, zap is 50).
Also if you’re gonna be selling online you also need a storefront to actually sell your stuff and there’s tons of sites for that ie. shopify, bigcartel, etsy etc. You can easily google them. They all have their pros and cons (ie. you need to pay monthly, or free but they take a chunk of your profit). Or you can use Patreon like me lmao
Also the most annoying part imo is finding a mail carrier lol
make sure you’re gonna use a company that isn’t expensive to ship your stuff, and you’ll actually have to go on their site to calculate what your shipping costs will be (domestic, and international if you’re gonna ship internationally), since you will need to include that in your store when people checkout.
You need to buy mailers to mail your products (i prefer bubble mailers because they have extra padding so stuff doesn’t get banged up), and maybe some extra packing or pvc bags so your product looks professional. If you’re selling sticker sheets, get some cardboard/chipboard or something similar to back the sheets so they can’t get folded or bent in shipping.
Also optional but just because it’s more professional/presentable, you can think about getting some business cards and cute stationery to write thank you notes lol.

new shop updates
Tumblr media
(àČ„ïžżàČ„) Unfortunately I've a "bad news" to tell you...as some of you maybe know, I was planning from a while to move on bigcartel...
a week ago I finally opened my shop and I was really happy with it ...=_=''...but sadly, something went wrong... I don't know why, but it seems that because of an error, Facebook and Instagram consider my new shop link unsafe and that it "does not respect their community standards" . and because of this, it's basically impossible to me to share my shop link through these media...
I tried to report this error several times, I also tried to contact Instagram and Facebook support without any result...I tried to debug my url...I changed the subdomain of my shop link three times...but nothing worked...
I also contacted Big Cartel support, they have been really kind but unfortunately it seems that this error is out of their hands...
For an independent business like mine, social networks are fundamental to promote and share my creations, and for me it's impossible to run my shop without being able to share the link on instagram and facebook...
So, because of this, (to my regret) I'll be forced to close my new shop :(
 - - -
I'm very sad about this situation, I really put all myself into this new adventure...I worked on a new graphic design and I created new thank you cards made expressly for my new shop...I'm also working on some new magical products I wished to add to my shop...
- - -
But unforeseen things happens and I can't give up now...^_^ So, I've to roll up my sleeve and back to work...I'll put these changes and new items on my etsy shop ( https://www.etsy.com/it/shop/lOll3SHOP ) ♡
Hope you will keep supporting my art and my work! I'm sure that with your support I'll be surely able to rise up! đŸ’ȘđŸ»âœš

On my shop you can already find a lot of magical handmade stuff and original art and new items are coming soon!! STAY TUNED!!
