˚ SDR2 BOYS ♡ and their love languages : sdr2 boys x reader
warnings 𓂅 minus teruteru srry. nothing much? just fluff┊an : im so lutang rn sorry if there are any spelling mistakes LMAO ... reblogs are appreciated !
꒱ hajime hinata — acts of service
𓏲 i feel like hes the kinda guy who’d like to do things for you,
𓏲 maybe it’d start off with small things like opening doors for you, pulling your chair out for you, getting you food, etc.
𓏲 he’d take care of you when youre sick methinks
꒱ nagito komaeda — words of affection
𓏲 literally worshipping the ground you walk on.
𓏲 i think he’d be the kinda guy who will compliment everything you do,, no matter what you look like or how good you are or something.
𓏲 i wouldve also said physical touch? but its more of something he’d like to recieve.
꒱ fuyuhiko kuzuryu — acts of service & quality time
𓏲 like hajime, i feel like fuyuhiko would do things for you. hes a gentleman— hes just… aggressive LMAO.
𓏲 i feel like he’d have some sort of urge to protect you? not really because he thinks youre weak, but having ties with the yakuza isn’t always safe.
𓏲 so with that, i feel like he’d have you near him often, if not with peko. and because youre always around, he also kinda learns to enjoy having quality time with you.
꒱ kazuichi soda — quality time, words of affection & physical touch
𓏲 i feel like hes not really set on one specific love language, but i think those would be his main three.
𓏲 he loves to compliment you, definitely the kinda guy to stumble over his words because of how nervous he is.
𓏲 like fuyuhiko, he’d probably prefer having you around him. not cause he needs to protect you; he just likes when youre there.
𓏲 he’d love to hold you or be held methinks. maybe he’ll have an arm around your shoulder or his hand on the small of your back whilst you guys walk around.
꒱ gundham tanaka — words of affection & gift giving
𓏲 compliment king 🙏
𓏲 definitely says some poetic stuff about you, his compliments DO NOT MISS. think the lyric “i’ll burn your name into my throat, i’ll be the fire that’ll catch you” from caraphernelia by ptv.
𓏲 he gifts you some cool stuff. roses, jewelry, or whatever else you like— hes got it.
꒱ nekomaru nidai — words of affection & quality time
𓏲 i feel like he’d like working out with you?
𓏲 he’d hype you up whilst you do push ups or something LMAO.
𓏲 maybe if you arent the kind of person who enjoys exercising, he’d just enjoy to have you there while he does.
꒱ byakuya twogami — acts of service
𓏲 alot like hajime, he’d do stuff for you.
𓏲 hes strict but hes a gentleman as well.
𓏲 he would open the car door for you, maybe carry your bags who knows.

your stupid face makes me insane!
game: danganronpa 2: goodbye despair
character: kuzuryu fuyuhiko
summary: fuyuhiko is beginning to like you instead of just tolerate you, and this discovery changes his world.
warnings: g/n! reader, they/them pronouns used, mx used, second person pov, short fic for a short guy
it was when you were so excited about a test result you got and engulfed fuyuhiko in a tight hug, that the guy began to notice the changes in his attitude towards you. his hand rested on your back, chuckling as you cheered for yourself.
"a perfect score! 'hiko, i got a perfect score!" you gasped, wrapping your arms around his neck in great surprise. he nearly stumbled back by your power, catching himself against his desk. "i can't believe it!"
"get the hell off me. why are you clinging to me?" he huffs, patting your back. your warmth was so inviting.
"because you helped me stay on top of my work." you claim, pulling back just enough to see his face. your hands lay on his shoulders as you smile wide. "you dropped off the assignments to my house, remember?"
"y—yeah? well it doesn't mean shit..." he mutters, turning away. truthfully, he never did that himself. the teacher knew that he lived the closest to you and asked him to do it. but he just got one of his lesser-threatening lackies to drop them off.
when you pull away, he almost misses it. but he tries to not convey it, wondering if peko noticed it. hopefully she hadn't, he wouldn't hear the end of it.
"i've gotta' get home and tell my parents." you say, grabbing your bag from your desk. you pass him, waving 'goodbye' to your friend. "i'll see you tomorrow, fuyuhiko!"
as he waves back at you, he leans against his desk, smiling at himself at little. you were so lively that it made him feel excited for you. it was a well-deserved score, that's for sure. but when he realises that his heart is beating faster than before, he becomes worried. did... you do this? did you make him feel this way?
the thought of you made his face burn even more, making him feel his cheek. luckily the rest of the class was too busy discussing their own scores to notice (except for peko for obvious reasons). when he feels his chest, his heart beating quickly, he understands.
perhaps you've become so close to him that he hadn't noticed it before. the way your laugh emits a smile from him, or how when you hold his hand for even a second, he finds himself missing the warmth not even a second after you let go. oh no... he's got it...
"fuck."
the next week is filled with nervous stares from fuyuhiko towards you. he's never realised how much you actually talk to the other students at school, but now he has. he didn't think about where you would be when you're not with him, but when he sees you speaking to some kid from the reserve classes, he feels a tinge of jealousy.
peko is quick to notice.
"are you alright, master?" she asks, safe in the privacy of their own secluded area. the other people around them were hurried into groups to discuss whatever they wanted or to eat their food together. no mind was paid to them. "are you worried for mx l/n?"
"what? no, don't do anything, peko, geez." he huffs out, leaning his chin in his palm. he watches the student you're with suddenly laugh at something you said, placing a hand on your shoulder as they double forward. "who is that? with y/n?"
peko raises her brows. "you are worried for them. have you grown fond of y/n?"
his cheeks say it all. blushing red and looking baffled, he glances at his bodyguard and scoffs, "no! they're... they're okay, whatever, fuck i don't know."
when did your smile become less annoying and more... attractive?
he hates how he now watches you, waiting for your smile to fall onto your face. your stupid face. why were you suddenly so pretty? his chest tightened at the sight of you suddenly bidding 'goodbye' to your little friend, and then spot him staring at you. you blink at the yakuza, who hurriedly ducks behind the hedges nearby, peko giving you a slight wave. you wave back at her, offering a grin as you make your way to class.
fuyuhiko holds his chest, breathing out slowly to calm himself.
"was... that really necessary?" peko sighs, tilting her head. she looks back at her master with a confused expression. "i don't know if you had noticed before, but mx l/n is not a threat to you. you are allowed to enjoy their company."
"ugh... whatever..." fuyuhiko grunts, standing up straight and fixing his uniform.
"please talk to them soon, if they believe something is wrong between you two then..." peko requests, fixing her sword on her back, "perhaps they will go off to hug someone else? you should tell them how you feel."
fuyuhiko glares at her, blushing profusely. she definitely saw his reaction back in the classroom last week...
but he does as she says, understanding his protector.
"oi. c'mere for a second." fuyuhiko calls out, pointing his eyes at you. you and your friends turn around to him, making the yakuza sigh and look away, a little embarrassed.
sonia, nekomaru, akane and kazuichi immediately turn to you.
"what?" you say to them, furrowed brows.
"obviously he's talking to you!" akane says, pushing you towards him, "we'll see you tomorrow!"
you wave at them as they exit the classroom. it was time to leave, and as the classroom empties out, it is just the two of you.
"what's wrong, 'hiko?" you question, leaning against the desk in front of him. he stands up straight, fixing his collar as you tilt your head at him. "where's peko?"
he had told her to wait with the driver at the front of the school, informing his bodyguard of his plan. to confess... today. to you.
"she's left already. uh, that doesn't matter." he says, shaking his head. you stare at his face, noticing how stressed he was. what was going on with him? he clears his throat, standing up straight with his short stature. his hip knocks against his desk. "i wanted to talk to you about—"
"fuyuhiko!" you gasp, moving closer to him. he freezes up, watching as you gently push him aside to look at his desk. "ah, your essay! you spent all of lunch finishing it!"
he follows your line of vision, seeing the juicebox he was drinking now spilt over, its contents all over his finished paper.
"f—fuck!" he swears, picking up his essay and trying to shake it dry. but it's futile. "god damnit... i can't catch a fucking break..."
"ah... this isn't good." you sigh, putting the drink in the trash. you grab the tissues from the teacher's desk and begin wiping up the mess. fuyuhiko feels so guilty; he messed up his assignment and now you're cleaning it up for him. you look back at fuyuhiko, gathering the soiled tissues. "hey... i can help you type it out again. i'm pretty fast on the keyboard. as long as you have your drafts?"
you're so nice to him that it makes him feel even more guilty. he's the leader of a dangerous gang... and you're the sweetest person he's ever met. how could he ruin your life?
he feels ashamed to have ever thought you and him could work out.
"no. shit... no, it's okay..." he responds, scrunching up his wet paper and throwing it out on the way to the exit. "sorry for wasting your time."
"'hiko? what were you—"
you get cut off as he slams the door. maybe he truly was pissed off about his paper?
peko notices his demeanour when he walks to the car. she decides against asking how the confession went.
fuyuhiko hates the two sides of the coin. he wanted to tell you, how much he likes you and how much he wants to be with you. he wants to tell you how much he admires you. but how could you ever accept his feelings, when you're an angel sent from heaven? you don't know how he feels about you, and it's like a race fuyuhiko can't stop running. he's willing to suffer, to love you without you knowing, even if it means that you will never date.
the next month is quiet for the two of you. fuyuhiko watches you from afar, admiring how you talk to the class and how you offer your help to everyone. he hates the differences between you two because you could never truly date, but... at the same time, that's why he had fallen for you. you're different from him and that makes it even better.
you notice his change in behaviour, how he takes different hallways to avoid you, and how he purposefully leaves the classroom as soon as possible just so you couldn't stop him. so when you finally corner him in the school garden, alone (you had bumped into peko who had went to the bathroom and asked her where he was), you know that this could be your only chance.
"what the hell do you want?" he asks coldly, looking down at his book. he has a leg over his knee and he leans back against the bench. he tries to hide his nerves, but his hands shake.
"what's up with you lately?" you ask, crossing your arms. you're pissed off. he glances at you quickly. "you've been avoiding me for weeks on end, no explanation? did... did i do something?"
when he stares at you, you know he's stumped. but he just turns his body away from you. "i don't fucking know, did you? leave me alone."
it's then that you've decided that you've had enough. why was he so... so annoying? with no explanation! you said that, right? you told him that? could he not tell that you were irritated with his attitude? you just couldn't understand how he could seemingly like your company one day, and then decide you're the plague the next!
in your frustration, you yank the book out of his hands and hold it up.
"the fuck? give it back, moron!" he scoffs, reaching to grab it from his position.
you hold it away from his reach, placing a hand on his shoulder and pushing him back against the bench. his back hits the wood with an 'oof' and he stares at you, burning cheeks and glowing pink. you rest your hand on the bench right behind his shoulder, now towering over him.
"h—hey!" he stammers, getting redder and redder by the second.
"look at me. what did you want to tell me that day? in the classroom?" you say, looking determined. you were sick of playing games now, you needed to force it out of him. "remember? i want to hear it now."
"tch, you're... you suddenly grew a backbone or somethin'?" he huffs out, trying to look away but he can't seem to stray from your eyes, "it doesn't fucking matter anymore, that was ages ago."
"it matters, to me. was that the reason why you suddenly became so cold to me?" you ask, tilting your head at him.
he can't tell if you truly know and you are just teasing him now, or if you were actually curious. but he feels his heart racing at this point, he doesn't know if he can keep his frustration in.
"because—!" he begins, catching himself. his voice grows rougher, but you don't falter. "i just—ugh, you don't even..."
you watch him fail to collect his thoughts, making you grow a little sympathetic. you sigh, letting go of him and placing his book back into his hands. instead of leaving, you sit down beside him, close he notes, and face him.
"you can tell me, 'hiko. i'd never judge you." you state.
he knows that, he's damn sure you'd never judge anyone, but he needs to find some confidence. taking a deep breath, he closes his book and places it to the side, finally facing you. you begin to rest your expression.
"that day... i wanted to tell you about—about how i feel about you." he says, roughly putting his words together. you raise your brows. "listen, it's not like i want you to do anything 'bout it, but i—i really... really like you..."
your lips part slightly as you listen to him. fuyuhiko grows anxious at that.
"like i said, i don't expect a fucking thing! i just wanted to tell you, alright? you don't need to say a thing!" he huffs out, waving his hands, "i, uh, i'd really appreciate it if you just didn't tell—"
"i really really like you too, 'hiko." you respond, holding his hand now. he's frozen, suddenly closing his mouth to stop his rambling. you give a small smile at his reaction. "i won't tell anyone, trust me. i... i can't believe you ignored me for something like that, fuyuhiko. how silly."
"sh—shut up..." he says, clutching your hand as your chuckle, "i didn't wanna' tell you because we're so different."
"well, i like you because you're different, fuyuhiko. you live an exciting life and you always have something to say. it's never dull with you, and i love that." you admit to him, trying to calm him down a little. he offers a smile too, a little one but it's still present. you suddenly stand up, tugging him along with you. "c'mon. i'll treat you to lunch, okay?"
he sheepishly shrugs his shoulders. "whatever... i'm sorry."
"it's okay." you say, smiling softly. he still looks upset with what he's done, so you lean towards him and press a kiss to his freckled cheek. it grows warm beneath your lips, making you grin again. when you pull away, he drags a hand to cover his face. "you're so cute."
"shut your mouth!" he scowls, marching forward and holding your hand. he trudges along, you following behind in a fit of laughter. "you're the worst!"
he could never thank you enough for being how you are.

Undead AU where a virus spreads through Hope's Peak turning all the Ultimates into undead, meaning they eat flesh, can turn people by biting them, lose their self-control, etc.
Only the lucky students are immune. For the sake of the city, the Hope's Peak faculty lock everyone on campus. The reserve course students are left to fend for themselves against the hungry Ultimates, and the lucksters try to take care of their respective classes. They get bitten copiously in the same way cat owners get bitten a lot, but they're immune, so it's fine.
(The first time he's bitten, Nagito is like, "Aw, it looks like it won't spread to me. That's a shame.")
Nagito pretty quickly resigns himself to trapping reserve course students for his class to eat. He doesn't just let them run loose eating people; he keeps control over their portions, so they don't just kill with reckless abandon.
"Akane, you can't eat both of them by yourself," he chides mildly. "There has to be enough for everyone." (The words "enough for everyone" seem to click even in her undead brain, because she immediately switches gears, making sure everyone gets to eat some.) "Hiyoko...Yeah, it's okay to bite me. Just leave all my limbs intact, if you can. AH! That...really hurt, Ibuki."
Meanwhile, Makoto is unwilling to let his class eat reserve course students at all. He brings them raw meat from the kitchen and works himself up to trapping animals. Maybe he lures a crane to Sayaka to eat, because parallels.
He and Nagito compare notes on their strategies of caring for their classmates; they run into each other in the hallway a lot, and sometimes Makoto catches one of Nagito's classmates sneaking out of their classroom or vice versa.
"Looking for this?" Nagito says, interrupting Makoto's sprint through the hallway. He's walking hand-in-hand with Hina, who is contentedly munching on someone's detached arm.
"Whose arm is that?!" Makoto exclaims. (Chihiro is on his back. She didn't sneak out or anything; she just clings to his back sometimes. She's gnawing at his ear, but he ignores it.) "Did she kill someone?"
"Nope. It was like that when we found it," Nagito lies. "Probably one of the upperclassmen's handiwork." Really, he used the arm of one of the reserve course students he trapped earlier to lure Hina back. And he's letting her keep it, as a treat.
Makoto sighs dejectedly. "They said this is just until they find a cure, right? That's what the headmaster said. The best scientists in the world are looking for a cure. Then everyone will be back to normal."
"Of course. I'm sure it won't be long now."
"...But it's terrible we haven't been able to keep the reserve course safe from them."
"Hey, chin up. It's a small price to pay to keep our classmates healthy."
"I don't think it's a small price at all. They-"
"Ah, I think another one of your charges is loose."
Makoto glances back. "Taka. Thanks for trying to help, but I've really got it covered out here. Why don't you take Chihiro back inside?"
Taka, one of the few undead who still consistently stands upright (though his posture isn't as straight as it once was) takes Chihiro off Makoto's back, and she immediately crawls onto his, resting her head on top of Taka's as he walks back toward their classroom.
"Hina, you want to go share that with Sakura? Yeah, go ahead. Don't let Byakuya see it, okay?"
Hina goes back to the classroom, too.
"I should head back," Nagito says. "If I'm away much longer, half of them will be gone by the time I return. And it's hard enough to wrangle Fuyuhiko; Akane and Gundham will take all day."
"You're bleeding," Makoto observes, with an alarmed frown. "Do you want me to look at that? I have bandages, back at-"
"No thanks. I'm alright."
"Maybe we should switch classes every now and then. Most of my classmates don't really bite all that hard...except Junko. But with her, you just have to be quick."
"Switch classes? That could be interesting..."
One day they do try to switch, but Nagito still gets bitten a lot (He suspects the 78th class think he's hiding Makoto from them; it would explain why a lot of them are hostile.), and Makoto is still mostly unscatched (Though Ibuki does tackle him and drag him to a, for lack of a better word, "nest" that the Ultimate Impostor has built, and he has to kind of just lie there and let them both lightly gnaw at his flesh for a while.). Nagito lets Makoto bandage him up, trying not to blush at the attention.

what's some criticism you have about makoto/the most valid criticism you've sene of him?
I've been sitting on this ask for like a week, because I've been struggling with it. Even when I think I remember one that hits a solid mark, I then mentally argue it down to being a non-issue.
The only criticism I've seen that ever hit any kind of mark for me is some fans' frustrations that he didn't endure/overcome much personal loss compared to many of the characters around him, because he repeatedly seems to luck out and have it work out in the end. This usually comes from people who are bitter about Kirigiri's survival in DR3, but I can understand that having Naegi's seeming losses get reversed or resolved whereas someone like Fuyuhiko has to lose his sister and then just carry on with it... it can seem kind of unfair. Why does he get to keep his secondary protag/potential love interest, but Hajime loses Chiaki? Why does he get his sister back safely while Asahina loses her brother forever? And so on.
The first counter to this complaint is that, well, he seemingly / maybe / probably? lost his parents during the tragedy. But those with this complaint find it frustrating that this is kept open-ended and hopeful, still leaving him with a chance to once again reverse/undo his loss. Despite seeing their corpses pretty clearly broadcast on television during Ultra Despair Girls, when Komaru finally gets to the actual place the Naegi parents are supposed to be? They aren't there, leaving her with a sense of hope that she'll still find them somehow alive.
The second counter to this complaint is that obviously Makoto still loses tons of friends during the course of DR1. Even if he doesn't immediately remember how close they all were, its implied in DR2 that they maybe/probably got those memories back later. Which had to make it pretty devastating.
Those who harbor this complaint have sometimes said that Naegi's unrelenting hope would mean more if he actually had to overcome a permanent loss. But I think that rings kind of hollow when you consider that he manages to remain hopeful even in the immediate aftermath of Kyoko's "death" in DR3. At this lowest possible point, he stands strong.
And despite how much I'm arguing against this complaint? I still think it rings kind of true. Because it DOES feel unfair that he gets off relatively lightly compared to so many other characters. Togami loses everything that defined him, everything that he based his pride and reputation on. Kirigiri loses Samidare brutally, finds her father's body without even knowing if the two of them ever achieved any kind of closure, and the question of whether she ever reunites with her grandfather is left wide open. Class 77-B may only lose ONE of their friends and classmates, but they also lose their freedom and their ability to live a peaceful life by accepting and embracing not only the guilt of their actions as Remnants, but also taking on the guilt of what happened in the Future Arc of DR3. Maki loses Kaito, Shuichi loses Kaito AND Kaede, and so on. These characters are forced to carry on after permanent, undeniable losses.
For those reasons, I do prefer to think that the Naegi parents are later confirmed dead. It gets Naegi more of a permanent, personal loss to endure and overcome in the longer term—I even wrote a fanfic one-shot about it.
But you know, I feel like I should mention that, for those who think Makoto gets off light because he's a "creator's pet" or something? There is someone in the DR1 who ultimately gets off even lighter than Naegi: Yasuhiro Hagakure. The ONLY seeming personal loss he ever endures is his mom — and he gets her back safe and sound! But I guess he's very rarely explored seriously since he's mostly comic relief... so maybe people don't worry about him as much.

hii!! i rlly love ur posts and i wanted to ask,
could you write fuyuhiko, ishimaru, and shuichi with a reader who ends up in the hospital alot?
if you cant/dont want to, just ignore this post! no hard feelings lol ^^ anyway, have a good day!!!
hi!! i’m so happy to hear you like my posts, it means a lot to me <3
fuyuhiko, ishimaru, and shuichi with an s/o who ends up in the hospital often:
category: headcanons, x reader, comfort, fluff
Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu:
• he just wants to protect you and make you feel more safe so he holds you closely when you’re feeling sick or anxious
• whenever you end up in the hospital, he gets really anxious and can become desperate for answers
• during your stay there, consider him your guardian angel bc he will not leave your side even if you insist
• he checks on you veryyy often. and he tries to be unobvious about it sometimes but 😭 he cares so much he can’t hide it
• “i don’t care what it takes to make sure you’re okay, i would go to the ends of the goddamn earth for you, got that?”
• he’s super stubborn and needs to make sure you’re okay, so he waits in the hospital room with you
• and if he can’t? he will wait outside in the parking lot until he can
• he’s argues with the staff about letting him in so he can check on you,, sometimes it actually works
• he kisses your forehead when you fall asleep because he wants to make you sleep well
• “i love you. squeeze my hand if you’re in pain, i can take it.”
Kiyotaka Ishimaru:
• he’s alert to any signs of illness or discomfort and has learned your signals overtime
• “y/n, i do worry there may be something wrong! are you feeling ok? should i get you a water? medicine?”
• he needs to be near you in case something happens. he loves you and wants to be prepared if anything occurred
• if you end up in the hospital, it never gets less scary for him
• even if its routine, he still can’t mask his anxiety behind potentially losing the love of his life
• “i felt too worried about you to sleep properly last night… would it be okay if i asked to stay in your hospital room overnight?”
• if this means he has to sleep on the floor, so be it, he will
• he tries to avoid smothering you but tends to be really physically clingy, just in fear you may feel alone
• “my love, tell me how you are. i want to listen to your fears and pain… i’d never move an inch if you asked me to! i’m right here.”
• he takes you out on lots of dates once you’re discharged, making sure you handle yourself carefully when you go outside again
Shuichi Saihara:
• he tries to come to your door every day and texts your phone if he knows he isn’t going to be able to see you irl
• “hey… y/n, are you feeling ok today? i was worried about you last night, i couldn’t stop thinking about you.”
• he doesn’t want you to worry about him worrying, he just wants you to feel that he cares
• and he definitely does. a whole lot more than he could even express to you
• when you end up in the hospital he’s the first to show up. how did he even know you were there?
• “i just… felt like something was off. gut feeling… and i needed to see the scene.”
• he loves writing little cards and sending lots of flowers and surprises to you when you’re in the hospital— every single time no matter how many
• “oh these? yeah, some are from your family and friends, but these ones are from me.”
• and he points to a neat stack of wrapped presents and cards
• he massages your scalp and leans over to kiss your lips and hand while you lay down
• “i love you so, so much. i could never lose you, i just want you to be safe and… comfortable. i’ll hold your hand right here.”

@hajihiko and I talked about the aftereffects of All Of That (1 / 2 / 3 / 4), and you know what a good whalloping suckerpunch of angst needs? Some incredibly shameless H/C to follow it up.
(Warning for all the topics you'd expect after the physical and emotional trauma in those first posts.)
---
The music had started up again.
Fuyuhiko grimaced at the familiar, bone-deep thumping that ran through the walls and into his body. He could mostly tune out the sounds themselves, but the vibrations were harder to ignore. Instinctively, he moved his pillow over his ear and hoped for the best.
Sleep came only shallowly, and cold soon woke him from it. It'd licked at his shoulder where it poked up over the blanket, but once he became aware of the cold, it was obvious that the blanket wasn't heavy enough to actually keep the rest of him warm.
He could pretend that things were tolerable as he first fell asleep, exhausted by the horrors of each fresh day. But with a few hours' sleep, his body usually woke back up to alert him of all the dangers it faced. That only made things worse. He was in this cell, as alone as he'd ever been, and his captors weren't going to help him warm himself, or heal himself, or feed himself like he really needed. Each night without recuperative sleep just sped his inevitable death a little more.
Fuyuhiko frowned under the pillow he held to his ear. Now that he thought about the music, that song sounded like… those fuckers. They probably thought this was a great goddamn joke to play on him, didn't they? For the first time, they'd gotten their hands on one of the Remnants, and so now they were reminding him of the others. Playing Ibuki's music like that had to be taunting him: we'll get her, too. Remember how she screamed this song at everyone, not too long after they woke up? We'll get all of them. Every last one.
Deeper, glacial cold ran through Fuyuhiko, and he went very, very still.
After they woke up?
He shouldn't know that.
Why did he know specifics? Why could he picture locations? Events? Names? Shit. Fuck. It hadn't worked. The memories were still there to be carved out of him. He was weaker now than he'd been at the start of everything, and he'd do his damndest to hold everything back, but it would grow harder with every passing day.
Fuyuhiko clutched the blanket tight and tried to force himself back into sleep. He needed to shore up his willpower before the torture restarted. He knew he'd be dead, soon enough, so the only control he had was over whether he betrayed everyone he cared about. He couldn't let anyone know anything about the Remnants as a whole, and more than anything, he couldn't tell them one single goddamn thing about Hajime.
Shit. Fuck. FUCK. Why had he let himself remember that name?
Nearly delirious with panic, Fuyuhiko curled in on himself and tried to pass out.
Eventually, the heavy door opened and Knife (or Stain or Red) stepped inside. Fuyuhiko froze, attempting to feign unconsciousness. If it were simply more pain coming, he could bear anything. He'd simply stop acknowledging most of the agony ripping through him, knowing that his body would probably wear out before his resolve did. But if he knew things again, 'probably' was no longer good enough. Torture suddenly mattered, again.
They called his name, and he tensed before he could help it. Damn. That'd been visible. They knew he was awake. It was about to start.
They called his name again, and reached down to grab him by the shoulder. Fuyuhiko flinched, unable to help it, and also couldn't help his grimace when the pillow was lifted away from his head. His good eye screwed tighter shut, like that'd somehow help.
His name. Again. Again. And then he was being lifted bodily out of bed, and Knife's gang was saying…
Saying… what? That didn't make sense. Saying it was okay? That he was safe? What?
Fuyuhiko risked opening his good eye, slowly enough that he could slam it shut if something came at it. What he saw didn't make any sense, either. Who was that? It wasn't Knife, Red, or Stain. Had they brought in someone new? And what was with that look of concern? Were they doing mind games, now? Trying to play good cop, bad cop after spending so long with the same approach?
"Fuyuhiko," the stranger said again, with deep worry running through his voice. "It's okay. It's okay. Look at me."
He did, and confusion slowly ebbed like fog burning off under sunlight. "Hajime?" Fuyuhiko wondered, only for adrenaline to slam into him like taking a punch. "You have to get out of here!" he cried, lunging forward to shove him. "I told you not to come! Fuck! Go!"
"Fuyuhiko," Hajime repeated in an endless, soothing stream. "It's okay. Look around. Look at where you are. You're not there. You're not there."
"Huh?" Fuyuhiko's exhaustion-fogged brain needed a few seconds to respond, and he slowly looked around the room. There were… there were windows.
Windows? His room didn't have windows. Why were there windows, then?
Because… this was the ship. He was on the ship. He'd been back here for weeks, and his memories were back by choice, and Hajime wasn't about to be captured.
Exhaling, Fuyuhiko closed his eyes and relaxed, letting Hajime hold him up with the grip he had on Fuyuhiko's shoulders. "I'm back. Sorry."
"You don't have to apologize," Hajime murmured. "Hey. Wanna look outside? It's sunny."
"I'm fine," Fuyuhiko said shortly, and pulled back. "I didn't have a damn nightmare or something. I was just… confused."
"After what you went through, it's normal to—"
"I'm fine," Fuyuhiko said in an increasingly tight voice, and pulled further away when Hajime reached for his wrist. "Ibuki screaming in the middle of the night just woke me up. S'normal to be tired when you can't sleep. Gonna let me get dressed?"
Hajime hesitated, then nodded and stepped back. "Right, sure. Sorry. Glad you're fine."
Fuyuhiko mutely nodded, and made a show of waiting for Hajime to leave so that he could dress for the day.
They'd sailed back north, at least for now. There was a military base the group knew of with pickings too good to pass up. That must have been where Hajime got the supplies for his dumbass (spectacular, overwhelming, incredible) move with the satellites.
This wasn't a commitment to settling up here, but they couldn't stay back on Jabberwock for long, and this little bay had apparently served them well enough. It was getting colder each day, though. Pretty, Fuyuhiko thought as he leaned on the railing and looked up at how very low the snowline had pushed into the evergreen forest surrounding them. But cold.
He folded his arms, enjoying the warmth of a sweater that he never would have been seen in while representing the clan, and appreciated the view. For about three minutes.
It wasn't unusual for Hajime and Peko to talk at length. For one, she'd trained herself on a lot of monitoring equipment, as had others. She, the Imposter, Mahiru, Nagito, Kazuichi, and Sonia all took shifts watching and listening for anything of note.
But those two were also the most likely to be concerned about Fuyuhiko. After his embarrassing confusion this morning, that had better not be motivating their latest conversation. Fuyuhiko watched them from a distance, talking and nodding and gesturing, and frowned when Hajime walked off first.
Toward Ibuki.
Goddammit!
"No," he hissed as he ran across the deck and grabbed Hajime by the arm.
"I just thought I could tell her to keep it down at night." Hajime shrugged. "Everyone else would probably appreciate it, too."
"I said I could handle it." Fuyuhiko's eye narrowed. "Don't say one fucking thing."
"Fuyuhiko—"
His eye drew into a mere slit. It glinted warning.
"Fine," Hajime relented. "But I think you should know that this is normal. I'm just trying to help, and it's nothing to be ashamed about."
"If you don't stop Ibuki, then is Peko gonna?"
"I…" Hajime rolled his eyes and walked off. "I'll talk to Peko."
Okay. Good. Fuyuhiko watched until he was sure that neither of them would attempt to talk to Ibuki, and wandered off toward breakfast.
That night, it was cold again.
Fortunately, music didn't blare, but the metal walls creaked ominously with the same winds that kept Ibuki below deck. Winter had arrived with a hunger, by now, and the narrow inlets along the coast funneled gusts right toward them.
Fuyuhiko curled into a ball under his blanket and tried to think of anything but cold running through his mind on repeat. Logically, he knew that it wasn't truly that bad in his room. A vent over the door radiated heat and he'd worn warm enough clothes to bed. Even so, his bed was up against the metal wall and it seemed to leech heat directly out of him and into the Canadian winter on the other side.
And all those dark memories coiling themselves around his mind thrived in the cold.
His door clicked. Annoyed, Fuyuhiko turned toward whoever had come to wake him up.
One of two expected faces was there, and it was the one who wouldn't just hand an extra blanket to him and make a silent exit. "I raided an empty room," Hajime explained, gesturing to the blanket in his hand.
Fuyuhiko sighed, about to argue that things had been spread evenly through the cabins, but stopped his own argument before he made it. It wasn't like they needed to keep those empty cabins stockpiled; they wouldn't be picking up any passengers any time soon. "Thanks, but…"
"But?"
But. But. He didn't know. The protest had been instinctive.
Hajime nodded slowly, closed the door behind him, and walked further into the cabin. "Mind talking?"
"Maybe," Fuyuhiko said wryly, and sat up. The blanket came with him and his legs folded snugly inside where it draped off his shoulders. As he sat up, he noticed an odd glow outside the portholes, like moonlight and starlight had been smeared flat against the glass. At some point, it'd started to snow. The gleaming reflection off each individual flake was dim, barely there, but there were so many of them.
Hajime sat on the other end of the bed and draped the blanket he'd brought around his own shoulders. "I'd keep waking up with his memories as my dreams."
Ah. Fuyuhiko considered Hajime, aware that his expression had slid toward sympathy in the not-really darkness, and said nothing.
"That happened again a few weeks ago, actually," Hajime continued. "When I did the satellites, I just kind of shut down all of my emotions so I wouldn't chicken out. That night, Sonia looked at me like I was… like I was someone else. Well, we started sailing for Jabberwock. A few nights into the trip, I thought about the satellites again. I remembered how she'd looked at me, and pretty soon… it wasn't me, that night."
Fuyuhiko shifted his weight on the bed and adjusted his grip on the blanket he held. "You didn't say anything."
"Right." Hajime shrugged. "I'm used to it. And I'm pretty practiced with coming back around, by now. But I guessed you weren't, yet."
Fuyuhiko laughed darkly, remembering how hard Hajime had needed to work to shatter the memories that had captured him. "Yeah. Well. What gave it away?"
"How'd that memory thing work, again? The one your dad taught you?"
The topic change caught him off guard, and Fuyuhiko needed a moment to catch up. "Uh… when there's enough pain that your brain can't think about anything else, you force an image into your head. From that point out, if you get asked about what they were trying to carve out of you, all you'll be able to remember is the new image."
Hajime's hands tightened around the blanket he held until the knuckles went tight and pale. "Right," he said after a measured pause, in a strained voice edged with outrage. "Sounds… really… handy."
Fuyuhiko smirked. It had been, but after a few desperate 'thank yous,' Hajime would never sincerely admit to that again.
"Anyway," Hajime continued, visibly trying to squelch his anger. "Think about what you just said: 'your brain can't think about anything else.'"
"Yeah, and?"
"Our brains have limits. They can only take so much. You know that, because you deliberately used your brain's limits as part of your plan." He scooted a little closer. "Well, this is just the other side of it, I guess. It's what came along as part of using that plan to." Hajime halted, swallowed, and needed a moment to continue. "To save me."
When Fuyuhiko remained thoughtfully quiet, Hajime reached for where Fuyuhiko's hand held the draped blanket shut. He ran his fingertips along a raised line on the hand's back. "You're not weak if you get a scar after you're cut, right? That's just how it works."
Fuyuhiko sat in silence for a while, then snorted faintly. "Don't pull out your Ultimate Therapist on me. Jerk."
Hajime smiled.
Sighing, Fuyuhiko tilted his head back and studied the ceiling. These stark cabin walls did look unfortunately similar to the place he'd been held for months. "So. How long's it last?"
"There are treatments we can try, if you want to."
Fuyuhiko looked uncertainly at him. "Treatments? Would I… what, have to bring Mikan into the loop?" Because there was no way.
"Don't have to. I haven't, for me."
Well. That was a positive, at least. “Didn't you say you had another bad night just recently?"
"Yeah," Hajime acknowledged. "Now that you mention it, next time we hit that military base, maybe we can check what they've got stockpiled in the pharmacy. For both of us. But even with just some mental exercises and techniques, it's a lot better than it was. I'll probably always have some bad nights, but if they're only an exception, I can deal."
Fuyuhiko nodded slowly. "Okay. So, I'd just talk with you, then?" He wouldn't with anyone else, but he could do that.
"Right. As much as you'd be up for."
Shifting awkwardly below his blanket, Fuyuhiko hesitated, then met and held Hajime's gaze. "Would you be up for it?" That earned a confused look, and he clarified, "If I start talking about exactly what they did to me, and you know it was for your sake, what's that gonna do to your own head?"
That apparently hadn't crossed Hajime's mind before it was pointed out. Concern, sympathy, and heartbreak passed through his expression in equal measure.
"Right." Fuyuhiko laughed faintly and pulled his knees tight against his chest. "We make quite a pair, huh?"
"I… look, if it helps, don't worry about my reaction. Really. It's exactly like you said: you did that for me. If me hearing about it helps you, then that's what we're gonna do."
Except that the most likely option would be Hajime needing to squelch his emotions to handle what he was hearing, and locking down his feelings did fuck-all for his mental health. "It's just gonna be you and me cycling around like this, huh?" Fuyuhiko drawled. "Each of us shoving the other out in front."
Hajime went quiet again before looking back up. His shoulders slumped slightly in resignation, for he apparently admitted that his plan had bit off too much, too early. "Okay. Then… we'll do that some day, but let's compromise right now. Let's just try to figure out what sets off your bad nights so we can hopefully avoid them. That's a good first step. Right?"
"Fair enough. But one of them is loud music, and you're not gonna mention one goddamn word of this to Ibuki. If she knows something, the whole ship'll know."
"Right," Hajime mused. "It's quiet tonight, but…" He trailed off, then asked thoughtfully, "What about ear plugs?"
"That's…" Fuyuhiko considered what it would be like if he could only feel the vibrations without any music. It might feel close enough to a ship's ongoing movement that he could convince himself that's all he was feeling. "That could help, actually." He probably should have thought of that, but he'd tried to forget his bad nights as soon as he woke from them.
Hajime grinned. "Okay, good start. Anything else?"
Fuyuhiko looked away, uncomfortably aware of how he'd been gripping his blanket like some child in a crib. "…Being cold."
Sympathy slammed into Hajime's eyes: the same overwhelmed look that Fuyuhiko remembered being directed at him while stuck in a hospital bed, when he didn't know who was staring at him in broken disbelief. "Oh. Right. Of course."
Fuyuhiko's grip flexed around the blanket. It wasn't like he was that invalid, still. It was fucking winter in fucking Canada, of course he couldn't shake off the cold.
"Uh…" Hajime scanned the room with increasing concern, clearly aware that he'd run up against the edges of Fuyuhiko's mood. "Here."
"Here?" Fuyuhiko repeated, expecting the other blanket to be draped around him. Instead, a warm set of arms embraced him around the blanket he wore, and Fuyuhiko blinked in surprise. "Uh," he managed.
"Mikan tells me I run a full degree warm," Hajime said with a grin. "Can you feel it?"
Still too surprised to protest, Fuyuhiko sat there and felt the warmth seep through the blanket, and then through his clothes, and then into him. It seemed to unknot muscles that had been tight ever since they returned to northern latitudes. "Yeah," he admitted, and relaxed.
The heat burrowed deeper and a long breath sighed out of him. "This is nice," Fuyuhiko conceded. He probably wouldn't let himself say that if he'd ever been able to get a full night's sleep. As winter's presence became inarguable, a full night's rest became impossible. Most nights weren't bad ones, not like the day before, but he always woke up midway.
He was soon so slack, so relaxed, that it took him a minute to realize his position had changed. "Huh?" Fuyuhiko blearily wondered as he looked up from the pillow he'd been laid against. Once made comfortable, his body had apparently decided to reclaim the sleep it'd missed. Immediately.
It took him another moment to realize that Hajime was also reclining, having arranged the blankets on top of them both. He noticed Fuyuhiko looking at him and lifted his eyebrows in silent question. This okay?
Fuyuhiko blinked at him in slow motion, still in awe of what it felt like to be warm, again, and to not feel alone and abandoned inside a steel cage. "You don't have a pillow," he pointed out, like it was suddenly, deeply important.
"Could raid another empty room."
He tried to say 'if you go, hurry' and 'don't lift the blankets too much.' All that actually came out was a soft, sleepy, "Mmmm." It was kind of funny, Fuyuhiko thought as he drifted off with surprising speed. Here was the person he'd gone through hell for, and yet, next to him, he had confidence that his memories would be kept safe from returning there.
Hajime grinned a little at the noise that had come out of Fuyuhiko as he toppled rapidly off the edge of consciousness. "Maybe tomorrow for a pillow."
"Mmmm," Fuyuhiko agreed, and felt his body relax out of the tight knot he'd automatically made. It was warm, finally. And no one could ever find them. That was good. That was…
Sleep took him gently but deeply, and lasted until morning.

im thinking so loudly about ibuki and fuyuhikos friendship. i think i will explode
i dont see it ever really talked about honestly, they had so much potential together as a duo. even after everything fuyuhiko had done, he genuinely showed remorse for everything (by the whole slitting his abdomen open especially) and ibuki knew that, she understood it, so she went as far as to throw him a whole party for his recovery because she cares, she believes he can be a better person bc she is STUPIDLY optimistic about everything. fuyu must've thought he didnt deserve all that kindness
iirc, i even think at some point in dialogue, ibuki says to hajime she was gonna go find fuyuhiko to bug him, and GOD i love the thought of that. fuyuhiko just going off alone often thinking about shit (you know, The Horrors) cause its not like he had anyone— but then ibuki finds him and follows him around because she doesn't want him to be alone.
i think theyd slowly become really good friends just unfortunately off screen. i think ibuki would personally and deeply understand his kind of feeling of loneliness and not really fitting in/being normal, though it may be in different ways, ibuki must've had a tough life as well, so she would cheer him up about it. theyre both a little fucked up and silly, its what ties their bond
and dude you cannot tell me fuyuhiko didn't try to help the others while they were sick during ch3, but most notably ibuki in this case. she had done so much for him with the party, he wanted to return the favor, he wanted to keep her safe especially with how she was wandering out her room
but his efforts failed in the end. when she died, that mustve fucked him up so badly. like. for a while
he'd lost peko and natsumi, everyone hated him, but he didn't let it stop him from trying to be better. but now, he lost ibuki, just when they were getting close (AND hiyoko, who he was trying to make up with, AND mikan which hurt him too bc i think he cared deeply for her too and tried to help her overall during the disease ordeal to give back as well, but thats a whole other post), its like everyone was being taken away from him right at his feet. i feel like he'd just try to avoid people permanently from that point on. (which didnt work obvi bc akane and hajime flicked his forehead and said Hey Bitch I Love You) but anyway. god. it was too early for those three to go dammit
god i want more of ibuki and fuyuhiko i eat it up sm. their friendship is everything to me. i think ibuki would stick around with him in the restaurant at breakfast, and they'd run around the islands (fuyu would be as slow as a snail bc he's still healing lol), fuyuhiko would put up ibukis hair for her, and theyd perhaps even spend some time in the music venue just jammin to the same rock music.. god. just let them be together
#rambling#honey its time for bed-- not now babe im writing about danganronpa on tumblr at 1 am again#i feel fuckinf BURNT to a crisp rn i dont think i have more brain dumps to put in these tags#for once.#ibuki mioda#fuyuhiko kuzuryu#i kinda wanna ramble abt my interpretation of fuyu with hiyoko and akane sometime#thats a whole other stew#for a gay man he really loves the ladies#danganronpa#sdr2#danganronpa v2#danganronpa v2 goodbye despair#super danganronpa 2

I just gotta say, I really love your work~. Anyway~ can I you do yandere Sonia nevermind and yandere Peko pekoyama dating their darling headcanons? I gotta say I really think sonia has a lot of yandere potential
Very interesting for you to be picking some of the nicher yanderes from the ones I've allowed.
So sorry for how late I am to answer asks, I had a lot of family over then caught COVID (for the third time how am I still alive) so I have either not had much time or have not been in the mood to write until today. I really want to get this request done so this post is more general but I hope you still enjoy.
Mod Monaca
Yandere Sonia Nevermind and Peko Pekoyama dating their darlings headcanons
Sonia as a yandere is an interesting case because the relationship she wants with you is extremely contradictory to how she handles her obsession with you.
Her wish is for you two to have a romance similar to what she sees in the Japanese romance films she watches yet she also wants you to be able to be with her in Novoselic as her partner which means learning the numerous languages she knows and being taught about the military.
Now Sonia isn't ridiculous, she's been trained to be a member of the royal family ever since she was little so she won't expect you to be at her or her family's level immediately and will often cut lessons short as she wants to spend time with you. It's not like you need to be on her level to be by her side, just enough that you can stand next to her since she'll handle the rest.
You're essentially just a figurehead that stands next to the soon to be queen of an absolute monarchy. It's not all bad as ruling a kingdom is something that takes years of experience and just one wrong move can make you hated by thousands so having the Ultimate handle all of it is a bit reassuring but you're stuck just sitting around and looking pretty until Sonia comes over to spend time with you as the servants of the palace keep their distance from you as Sonia can be quite jealous and doesn't like anyone monopolizing your time except her so everyone in the palace is polite and courteous with you but the distance is clear.
Peko as a yandere doesn't believe she can actually date you. She believes that the only relationship meant for you two is that of a master/servant with her as the loyal servant who won't let anyone come near you.
She isolates you from your peers, insisting that they are threats. The only people she backs off on isolating you from are family members you have a positive relationship with, Fuyuhiko and any childhood friends. She'll force them to get away if they try to get you away from her but she'll let them stay if they decide not to question Peko.
Don't expect much support from Fuyuhiko in this situation, in this scenario he's her best friend and supports Peko going off and doing her own thing. He is completely blind to just how messed up you and Peko's situation is and will always be willing to listen to her side before yours.
Despite Peko claiming to be nothing more than your humble servant, she maintains a lot of authority over your life. She firmly believes that she knows what's best for you and will do what she deems is the best way to keep you "safe" even if it upsets you because it is her sworn duty to protect you as your tool.

Oh sorry Hibiki, I mis-spoke. What I meant was… Well, I am concerned about the police trying to arrest you. It depends if word of Kanade being a serial killer is out or not, but I’m worried about corrupt douchebags trying to arrest you for what you did under puppet state.
Well, my biggest worry is that Officer Kinjo would take me in for questioning at best, but...the Future Foundation actually protected me. They're handling my case from here on.
But I do still feel awful about it. I might not have been in control, or remembered any of it, but...I'm still a scumbag...
You really don't need to worry about that Hibiki. And neither do any of you guys.
I mean, think about it! How many ex-criminals and murderers actually work in the Future Foundations upper-echelon?
Huh?
Yeah, trust me, you are FAR from the first "sinner" that's been allowed to stay here.
H-How do you mean?
Uh...right, let me think about it...
Leon, Hifumi, Mondo, and Kirumi all killed during the Killing Game, and Sayaka attempted murder...I'm pretty sure Byakuya has killed people before, though I'm not SURE of that...
Maki is literally an ex-assassin...Gonta also killed lots of people under hypnotism, just like you...
Literally everybody from Class 77, except Chiaki, so that's...Hajime, Mahiru, Nekomaru, Akane, Ryuji, Fuyuhiko, Peko, Sonia, Gundham, Teruteru, Hiyoko, Ibuki, Mikan, and Kazuichi...are all ex-terrorists who were brainwashed into helping Junko destroy the freaking world...Not to mention Hajime and Mukuro Ikusaba worked directly with her, and killed and destroyed things in her name...
He's left the Future Foundation now, but the guy who taught me how to fight is...sorta kinda a vigilante serial killer that kills people he considers irredeemable, and his best buddy is part of a family known for dangerous experimentations that use human test subjects...and his girlfriend is a hitwoman...
And uh...Oh yeah! Ryota tried to subjugate all of humanity, so there's that too!
Also, I've...never killed people, but I've DEFINITELY tried to...haha...ha...
... ... ...
...
...That was a lot, wasn't it?
I suddenly don't feel safe here anymore!
Nononono! I swear, we're all really good people! ...Now...
My POINT is there's no fear in Hibiki being arrested or judged for what she's done! Nearly everybody here is in the same boat and understands. So if you ever want to open up to others, you can.
Maybe you should talk about it to Gonta? Like I said, your circumstances are similar. Same goes with Mukuro. Trust me, she knows what it's like to have a maniacal twin sister.
If...I get a chance, and if they're willing, I...might do that actually.

The Port Operation
[Part 1]
Location: Mikawa Port, Gamagoori City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan
Time: 1:34 PM
*Standing from the port, were men from the Kisaragi Foundation with one of them being Tsurugi Kinjo who was looking over the port*
...When are they going to get here?
They should be arriving any moment sir, we have our weapons and men armed and the cars are ready to arrest them and bring them down for questioning.
I see, thank you; will need to make sure we get any information.
And make sure to get the civilians away out of the boat, we need to assure their safety as well.
Understood, I'll tell the others... *Naoto walks away*
Good, now to wait...
*As then cars and swat vans from Future Foundation have arrive as men started to get out as they prepare for battle, with Kyosuke and Kyoko walk forward*
Tsurugi Kinjo, I apologize for being late but we are ready our men for the operation.
I see, thank you for coming; I heard that you all had discover about the human slave trades that the Kuzuruyu Clan had set up and I wish to shut the operation down.
I suppose you have an idea about the area, correct?
I believe so, I was able to investigate the area and was able to discover a fair bit without being notice.
The port has about 300 men that work under the Kuzuruyu Clan, they got weapons and are trained.
I see, so we got ourselves a fight then, anything else we need to be warned about? What if they run out of ammo?
There is a warehouse that has weapons, it's the building on the far left that contains them so we can block them there and make sure they don't grab them and their are no tanks either.
I see then what about back-up? Will any arrive if they arrive?
Well, there is an office but sadly it's hard to get in without the fingerprints of Fuyuhiko Kuzuruyu and Peko Pekoyama and since the 2 are dead, we can attack without back-up arriving.
But I think we should save any civilians that were kidnapped from their homes and make sure they are safe.
Indeed and it's why I think it might be safer if we handle the civilians while you deal with the human traffickers but we can assist you with fighting.
Very well, I think we can handle that; men, it's time to get to work, we need to make sure that all members of the Kuzuruyu Clan are capture and arrested, if any fight then kill on sight, understood?
TSURUGI'S DIVISION: Yes sir!
Gr-Great...Yakuza, this is gonna be quite the scary day, huh?
Well even still, putting a stop to Despair is for the best - especially if we are to return things to normal, now get your weapons ready.
Yeah, so let's hurry up and make sure they are taken down!
Indeed, also we must make sure that they don't get to the weapons in the warehouse; the rest of you come with me so we put a stop to it.
Then I'll come to assist with directing too; everyone be ready and prepare yourselves.
ELITE TASK FORCE: Yes sir!
*As then the operation began...!*

Who was actually closest to graduation?
It's functionally the most difficult to graduate in THH because Makoto, Byakuya, and Kyoko are all there to sus you out. Hajime and Chiaki are less effective in GD. Nagito could find you but he's less likely to actually be helpful in exposing you during the trial.
Both Kokichi and Shuichi will work against you in KH. I still think that's less intimidating than the THH trio.
So who was closest to graduation? I have a hard time believing Sayaka would have gotten away with her frame job on Makoto had she lived through her attack on Leon. Seems like Kyoko would have sussed that one out.
Leon didn't actually intend to kill Sayaka, so his attempt was mostly just covering up the evidence of his own self defense. Seeing as Sayaka literally wrote his name on the wall, he wasn't particularly close.
Mondo just squeaks by Leon as a slightly better murderer. Like Leon, he didn't actually plan on murdering anyone. He did a base level cover up after he kills Chihiro, but he really only gets close because Byakuya decided to be confusing.
It may just be because Kyoko wasn't involved, but Celeste was pretty damn close. She only made one big mistake by putting her faith in Hifumi.
Teruteru came closer to graduating than you'd think he would. He saw what Nagito was doing and took advantage of it. He really only got done in by Mikan's unfortunate fall in the dining room.
Peko was trying to get Fuyuhiko graduated, not herself. Seems safe to say that had he gone along with the plan, it would've worked (dependent on a ruling from Monokuma). However, based what we know about Fuyuhiko, he was never going to go through with that plan.
I still don't really understand why Mikan asking about the camera angle of the video gives her away. That's a perfectly reasonable thing to ask Hajime, the only person who purportedly saw the video. She also had bad luck when Hiyoko interrupted Ibuki's murder. She was decently close to getting away with it, but no other suspects really ever materialized.
I don't know why, but I never really entertained the idea that Gundham would ever get away with murdering Nekomaru. Nagito is onto him almost immediately and the plan was just too convoluted to have a serious chance at working.
Nagito's plan to get Chiaki to graduate was pretty flawless and it's heavily implied that the only reason she didn't was because she went against her programming to reveal herself. Hajime does find her notebook and basically says he would have realized that Chiaki was the traitor if he hadn't been lying to himself, so who knows.
I think Kaede might have to be excluded for being framed. Kirumi would have gotten away with it if Shuichi wasn't there, but it wasn't all that clever a plan. I think, if she really reflected on it, she could have done a better murder. Korekiyo wasn't close. You're not close if you interrupt your original murder with another unnecessary murder, then go do the original murder anyway.
Gonta would have been close if Kokichi didn't know everything. Because he did know everything, Gonta was the least close. I don't even know how to evaluate Kaito because he wasn't trying to graduate. Top marks? I guess?
So, who was closest to graduation?
Kaito
Chiaki
Mikan
Celeste
Teruteru
Kirumi
Gundham
Korekiyo
Sayaka
Mondo
Leon
Gonta
Fuyuhiko

how do you think a daemon would work with the whole hajime izuru thing
Uh-oh, Danganronpa Daemons AU? Let's go!
I think, in a scenario where:
everyone has a "daemon" (your soul living beside you in talking animal form)
daemons "settle" (meaning they stop changing at will into different animals) when you mature (adolescence)
they can't go far from you
their pain is your pain and vice versa
Hajime's daemon settled when he got into the reserve course, but before he actually started attending Hope's Peak. Like, around the time of that flashback where all his normal classmates are like "Really, you can pay your way into Hope's Peak?", his sense of self really solidified. Most people's daemons settle sometime in middle school.
During the Kamukura Project, I'm going to say the objective (in addition to all the talent stuff they were also doing) was to have him live without a daemon. Killing a person's daemon kills them, but they're trying to basically reverse-engineer that whole connection and figure out how to have an Ultimate Hope who doesn't have the same vulnerabilities as everyone else.
They "succeed", in that there's a point in the experiment where his daemon vanishes and doesn't return, and he stays alive. It's an understood truth that Izuru Kamukura doesn't have a daemon, and therefore he doesn't have a soul.
Really, his daemon learned to become incorporeal, as a projection of Hajime's desperation for the scientists to stop hurting him, and it will become corporeal again if and when Izuru feels safe indulging in emotion again.
When that happens, the daemon (and it's "she" pronouns for the daemon) won't appear to Izuru himself; she'll appear near someone important to him (like Fuyuhiko, Sonia, Nagito, Makoto), and she might be severely injured. She's remained incorporeal because she needs someone to tend to her injuries (from everything they did to warp Hajime's selfhood), and she's been waiting for someone who will care for her and won't just kill her. Letting one of Izuru's friends tend to her wounds requires her to let them touch her, which is extremely intimate. (She knows there's a non-zero chance that Izuru might kill her, if she appears to him pre-character development. She won't appear to Izuru until she's healed, and even then she still trusts the touch of Izuru's friends more than Izuru himself. They have to grow back together.)
TL;DR: His daemon vanishes during the Project, but he still has one. It'll come back when it feels safe. It now has the ability to become incorporeal and travel some distance away from him.
I'm going to say Hajime's parents named his daemon Minami (which I borrowed from Hajime's voice actor), and she settled as...you know, in a vacuum, I'd find it fascinating to say a tortoise, but I'll put that aside because, while I like it reflecting his defensiveness, I don't want it to actually have a way of defending itself. Which sounds monstrous of me. 😊
I'm leaning chipmunk or tree sparrow. Both fairly plain and unassuming; he cannot have an interesting daemon. Chipmunks: known for fitting an absurd amount of food in their mouth at once, hearkens to his ambitious side. Sparrow: bird, flight, freedom. Hearkens to Chiaki's statement that not having talent makes him freer than those who do have talents. (Plus, when she's injured, a broken wing symbolizes the loss of freedom.) Either one is a small, helpless animal that would look great 1. secretly appealing to Izuru's friend(s) to help it heal, and 2. sitting on Izuru's shoulder once he's accepted it as his daemon again. (Or he finds it at the wrong point in his character arc and just steps on it real hard. Sorry, lol.)
I'm going to go with sparrow. Yeah, Minami is a sparrow. Pre-Project, she has a nervous energy, where Hajime himself usually tries to mask his nervousness as other feelings. (Basically, her behavior gives away how nervous he often is.) After the Project, she has the vibes of an Oracle. She's seen a lot, she knows generally how stuff is going to go, she's no longer nervous, but she still cares about things on about the same level as Hajime did.
Below, I have taken the liberty of sketching Hajime and Minami. She's kind of flying around his head, saying stuff, and he's swatting at her a little because he's annoyed. Basically, this is him going, "Stop that; you're embarrassing me. Keep your voice down."

The last anon read my mind lol. Is it alright if I request the same thing with Fuyuhiko, where reader is trying to escape someone killing them and he saves them?
Man, y'all sure do love your near-death experiences. Nothing wrong with that though, I like writing them! Thank you for the request, Anon! - Mod Hajime
Fuyuhiko Saving You From A Murder Attempt
There was no reason for you to even be outside at a time like this.
But it was so hard to believe you had been trapped on a remote island and were now part of a killing game. Didn’t that sort of stuff only happen in fiction?
Still, despite Monokuma telling you all that your cabins were safe, you didn’t trust them.
You especially didn’t trust yours, if the broken lock was anything to go off.
Thinking ahead into the future, you didn’t tell anyone your door was busted. That would’ve made it too easy.
Though, being outside made you easy prey as well. There wasn’t a motive to kill yet, but wasn’t being trapped on an island a good enough reason?
Suddenly feeling nervous, you stood up. Long gone was the desire for peace within Jabberwock Park.
Without missing a beat, you ran back to your cabin, your adrenaline making it easier to handle running for such a long distance.
You opened your door and shut it behind you, letting out a long sigh. Nothing had happened today, not even a little spat between your classmates had occurred. So that meant there was peace, right?
You shuffled to the bathroom and stared at yourself in the mirror. Dark circles were forming under your eyes and your expression had turned into a permanent frown. Well, that was to be expected, considering you hadn’t slept properly in days.
The silence in your cabin was interrupted by the sound of your doorknob jiggling. Your useless lock audibly popped and the door creaked open.
If you shut your bathroom door now, you’d be discovered for sure. You tucked yourself into the corner, hoping the lack of light would you from the intruder’s vision.
Unfortunately, your efforts didn’t work. The intruder’s hand shot out and grabbed your arm, yanking you out of your hiding spot.
A shout ripped from you when you felt a sharp pain in your side. You looked down to see the handle of an ice pick sticking out of you.
With adrenaline pumping through you, you delivered a strong punch to your attacker, knocking them into your dresser. A little Monokuma plush hit the floor from the impact, bouncing against their leg.
Suddenly, you were very aware of the metal in your abdomen. You caught yourself on your dresser and staggered towards the door.
Blood roared in your ears when you heard the attacker getting up. You had to get out of there immediately.
The door slammed behind you and you stumbled across the docks, unsure of where you were. Everything was spinning and you felt like your dinner was about to make a second debut.
Your head knocked against a solid piece of wood. It cleared the heat in your ears so you did it again. You continued for an unknown amount of time, barely aware of an obscure figure walking towards you.
Without warning, the cool wood was removed from your head, sending you to the floor and the mystery person fleeing.
“What the fuck?” You heard someone talking. The voice was familiar, but your head was too full of melted butter to process it. Instead, you responded with a groan.
Trying to remember how to stand, you held your hands out to push yourself up, but the ice pick was making it hard to move. You struggled to find the pick and gripped it, ready to pull it out.
“Don’t do that, you dumbass!” A soft hand smacked yours away and you were quickly pulled into a bright, much warmer room.
A pretty face was in front of you and the person waved their hand in front of you. “Hey! Look at me! Don’t you dare die right now!” You squinted.
Pink cheeks, freckles, long eyelashes, and a mean snarl.
“Fuyuhiko?” You mumbled, struggling to pick an eye to look at.
He huffed, “Yeah, it’s me. What the hell happened to you?”
“Stabbed? I think.” You looked down at the ice pick and reached for it again, only to be stopped by Fuyuhiko again.
He held your hands down and ordered you to stay still and lay on the ground. The yakuza disappeared for a moment until he returned with a pair of scissors, a rag, bandages, and a bottle of rubbing alcohol.
“Gonna take it out?” You whispered, focusing on his face, specifically a freckle on his cheek.
He didn’t respond. Instead, he cut the fabric around the knife and pulled your shirt up, opening the rubbing alcohol. He was looking for something, but you didn’t know what.
You groaned when a stinging sensation erupted on your sternum. “Don’t move, you have a cut here.”
“What about the other one?” You asked, pointing at your plugged stab wound.
“If I pull it out you’ll bleed out. Can you shut the fuck up now?” He grumbled and wrapped your cut in the bandages.
Fuyuhiko sighed and dragged you over to his bed. When he realized he couldn’t carry you, he threw his pillows and blanket on the floor. He laid down next to you, quiet, but watching you.
Each rise and fall of your chest could be the last, and he didn’t want someone dead in his room.
He didn’t want to see anyone die for that matter.
You were one lucky bastard. Knocking on his door after getting attacked wasn’t easy, to add to that, you had an ice pick completely lodged in your body. He wanted to ignore it, but hearing the knocks get progressively slower made the pit in his stomach grow.
When he opened the door he was expecting something worse, but having you fall at his feet was worse. Not to mention the suspicious shadow that crept away when he opened his door. What would’ve happened if he hadn’t opened the door?
Did you even realize you were dying?
He looked over at you to check and let out a sigh of relief, seeing you still breathing. He just had to wait for the sun to rise then he could grab Mikan to get the ice pick out of you.
Hopefully you could make it for two more hours. He glanced at the clock, reading 5:00. “You really are a lucky motherfucker.” He let out a half chuckle.
He reached his hand to hold onto yours and squeezed it.
He was just checking your pulse, that was all.

If you have the time, May I request the Danganronpa 2 casts reaction to finding out that their darling has autism or is somewhere on the spectrum (whether by being told directly or by stalking them) and the steps they'd take, if any, to meet their needs?
Yandere Reaction: Danganronpa 2 casts reaction to finding out that their darling has autism
I'm sorry this took so long and if anything is wrong let me know and I'll fix it.
Hajime Hinata:
He will ask his darling about all those little “quirks'' he has noticed about them. Which will lead into a conversation and looking up about autism. So, with Hajime it will be a lot of learning along the way as well as looking up anything else he thinks he will need to know. He is curious about the textures his darling finds good and bad (why do they like one over the other for example.)
Nagito Komaeda:
He mostly learned about it because of his luck. Being in the right place to over hear them talk about it or finding something that hints at it (Ex: paperwork). He will want them to tell him about it mostly because it’s a chance to not only get close to them but learn more about them as well. Of course, he will look up anything he needs but for the most part it will all come from his darling. He loves hearing their voice no matter what it is they’re talking about so anytime they want to talk about something they’re fixated on he is all ears.
Gundham Tanaka:
After a while he’s just going to ask them about it when he starts to notice all their habits. After a very long talk and some research on his own he will try to put it into practice whenever his darling needs help. If they already know what their routine and preferences are, then the only time he will assist them is if they ask him. If they are still going through what they like or don’t then he will be more hands on.
Kazuichi Soda:
In all honesty his darling is going to have to be the one that not only tells him that they are autistic but also must explain all that they know about it or help him learn more about it. As time goes on he will get to know what sounds and foods they like most vs what they don't like/hate and the reason (texture, too loud etc.) he will have to get use to any stimming they may do and as long as it isn't a dangerous one (head banging, biting etc.) he won't stop them or even change it.
Teruteru Hanamura:
They either told him or he overheard them either way he will get right to work. He may be a bit of a mess with some preferences they have or some events but what he will never get wrong is their food preferences. He just needs some time to get used to learning more about anything else that isn’t food related.
Nekomaru Nidai:
Another one who only sees what they do as their own “quirks” until his darling sits him down and explains to him about it and about their preferences. Now he will be hands off unless they tell him that they need help from him or he will learn that certain cues mean that they need help. However, it’s a different case once someone starts getting in their face about something that they do in which case he’ll always come to their defense immediately only after they either try to do it themselves or it becomes too much.
Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu:
He found out when he was in the “trying to learn everything he can about them” phase birthday, favorites, security codes for any alarms they may have just the simple just. It's going to take him a little bit to understand what autism is and what his darling may need. Once he feels like he has the knowledge necessary is when he tries to get close to his darling. However, learning something and doing it are two different things so there will be some ups and downs but he is trying his best for his darling. He also makes them a sort of “safe room” a place where they can go whenever they want that is always filled with whatever they may have fixated on at the time.
Byakuya Twogami:
They found out while looking into their darling. They let their darling do their own thing if there is no harm being done (harmful stimming.) They know that their darling has dealt with this for a long time and has figured out themselves about what they need. Of course, that doesn’t mean they’ll be totally on the sidelines; they'll be there if they just need someone to listen to or just need some support.
Akane Owari:
Her darling must explain to her in detail but will start to get it. It will however take some time for her to get used to any routines they have or their food preference. Anything they get into she will too and when it comes to the stimming, she will just watch them to make sure nothing happens.
Chiaki Nanami:
Her darling told her after some time. She is another one that's hands off but she has learned that some acts or mannerisms are a hint that her darling likes or dislikes something without them really having to say anything or if they just need help with going out. Basically, she is there if they need her for anything or nothing.
Sonia Nevermind:
She found out after paying someone to get a hold of their records and now with this knowledge she will make the perfect place for her darling although this would include breaking whatever routine they already had and kind of making a new one or at least a similar one after they get used to the new place. She always has whatever food they like the most on hand as well as whatever It is they are enjoying now. They will want for nothing since whatever they want, she can get with no questions asked this includes any help they may need to continue or start like therapy.
Hiyoko Saionji:
She tries her best for her darling but 40% of the time it doesn't exactly work out. Sometimes she will forget what textures her darling prefers or forgets what they like at the time. It may seem like little things but they are big for her. Which could lead to her lashing out at her darling for her own frustrations. She does try to make up for it after.
Ibuki Mioda:
She either overheard it or her darling told her. 90% of the time she does a good job with whatever her darling needs from her however the other 10% is either her accidentally messing up the routine, being too loud, or making/getting food that’s not at all what they want but she’s trying. There is also a big chance that whatever her darling is fixated on she will become fixated as well.
Mahiru Koizumi:
She learned it by talking with her darling. In her case she is one of the ones that could manage to get her darling to tell her anything and everything even if it’s just a hint at something so that’s how she learned about their autism. She will learn all she needs to know from her darling and on her own. She will try the best she can to support them in any way that they need her to. Even if it's just to be there to listen to whatever they like now, trying to find new foods that fit their criteria or just make sure their routine doesn’t get interrupted most.
Mikan Tsumiki:
One of the first things she does is investigate her darling's medical history to see how helpful she can be to them or possibly to them. There’s a chance she already knows the basics about neurological developmental but knowing which one pins down which one she needs to study up on the most. That isn’t to say she won’t learn about the others, just this one first. with that and her already existing skills she is the perfect caregiver for her darling if that is someone they need if not then they have her full support regardless.
Peko Pekoyama:
She learned while “studying" and from there she asked them questions about if they like this or that. From what they gave her and from what she looked up she is confident that she can now be what they need her to be or do. Helping them with any medicine they take, keeping away unwanted foods or sounds, making sure their stimming isn’t harmful and helping with social events. She may never do it sometimes and will try to back off if her darling tells her to.
