Hi! Sorry if this seems random, but I was just browsing my tumblr page and your site was there as an recommender (I wonder why..i just follow all scanlation groups I can find, or at least most of them 😅). I became interested about the manga you were translating (I found it in mangaupdates by using your groups name). I would really really like to read it! but I can't find it anywhere in your page 😔 could you please tell me how to read it?
Hey!
I’m gonna post your ask in public because more people may be interested in knowing about it.
We are scanlating “Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitteiru” (”Uraboku” for short). This manga is licenced in English and being released officially under the name “The Betrayal Knows My Name” too, you probably saw that when you looked it up on mangaupdates.
Uraboku is terrible to find when it takes to scanlation for two reasons: There have been so many scanlation teams around it and most of them are dead and gone now.
And we are only doing the scanlation of the final chapters of this manga.
Here goes a list of all scanlation teams that worked in it and what chapters they released and the links to their pages on the ones that have their pages still up:
Mitsux3 (chapter 1 to 3)
Unknown group name (chapter 4 and 5)
Mollietheotaku (chapter 6 and 7) [chapter 6 here, chapter 7 here]
Another unknown group name (chapter 8 and 9)
Storm In Heaven (from chapter1 to 12)
Stargazing Scanlations (from chapter 13 to 22 and from 36 to 41) [releases page here]
Sakurai Yuki (chapter 23)
A third unknown group name (chapter 28)
World’s End Scanlations (from chapter 24 to 35) [their release tag]
Sky of Snow (from chapter 42 to 47) [chapter 42, chapter 43, chapter 44, chapter 45, chapter 46 and chapter 47]
Zweilt Partners Scans (from chapter 55 to 58) [our release page and our release tag]
If you pay attention, you’ll see chapters 48-54 haven’t been scanlated yet. However chapters 48-52 have already come out officially in English.
Right now, World’s End Scanlations, Sky of Snow and Zweilt Partners are the only active groups out of all of these I listed. Sky of Snow doesn’t release one single Uraboku chapter in two years or so but they keep promising to release chapters 48 and 49 soon and they confirmed to work until chapter 53. World’s End has also promised to work on chapters 48-54. They don’t post for around one year now so people count them as a dead group but they’ve already been seemingly dead for three years and then they came back, so I honestly count them as a “very likely living group, i guess”.
Yeah, that’s pretty much it.
I don’t usually recommend taking a look at a series scanlation on online manga reading websites, mostly because we, scanlators, usually hate what they do. But truth be told, that’s where you will be able to find all chapters right now because most of those groups are dead and have no pages.
So, for the chapters from groups that aren’t linked, please check on websites like mangafox.
For fan translations, summaries and whatever of some missing chapters, also please take a look at this page on Uraboku-Fan-Club. That page also has listed summaries I’ve written of chapters that our team will work in later. (I’m not toally confident on those, however. Uraboku is so tough to read, believe me. And I wrote those on the day those chapters came out in Japan so it was written a bit in a hurry. There may be mistakes and misinterpretations).
(11 scanlation teams… That’s a lot.)
