Can’t stop thinking about college era Essiel (aro and disillusioned with love) and Varska (romanticizes all forms of human love while valuing and admiring Essiel a lot) having a convo about love while watching a romance film

#Essiel is bored as hell. she looks over and Varska seems all wistful but strangely somber. it’s a happy scene #etc #t3xt #but in the end varska genuinely cares about and loves humanity. even if her idealized version of it is shattered. there’s still so so many #people worth fighting for. in her eyes #the question is whether or not she’ll start thinking if the things that make her love humans are unique to them only #so. in the end she wouldn’t think less of Essiel for being aro. over a few days weeks etc she’d slowly puzzle her way through it #and it’d help widen her worldview #she’s genuinely like…. ‘good.’ more than anyone out of the story’s main cast #Essiel is neutral. doesnt love humanity doesn’t hate it. helps sometimes but usually for personal reasons #shen(?) hates humanity. despises it. despises his own kind as well. acts out of spite because he has nothing else left to keep him going #Tizian is good because he *has* to be. it was what he was raised into what he inherited (to set him up. but.) but. he doesn’t really care.#not like varska does. (and that doesn’t make him evil. he has a right to this.)#I love yapping….
