one of the nice things about artists that become pop culture icons in a way that can be very divorced from their output/limited to one or two overarching hits is that there are often wonderful discoveries to be made even in just the next popularity level down of their work and collaborations...on the other hand it can be a little frustrating to me the one-sidedness and lack of depth in how these same artists r perceived and discussed...
