man i really wish i hadn't lost my copies of the manga like a decade ago because i've really been craving an fma reread for awhile now. guess i'll have to settle on a combined 2003/brotherhood rewatch instead lol

#but the more i think of it. the more i realize fma may have been the single biggest influential/impactful media i consumed as a kid #not just bc i discovered it at a particularly malleable age (middle school) but also bc of the when/how reflective it was of the bush era #not that i think i ever would've been pro-bush/iraq war w/o it (i already wasn't) but bc it certainly helped kid me understand irl better #so yeah. might be the single most important piece of media to me #also also i joke but it being the first anime/manga i really got into is kinda why i think i never had a prolonged/serious anime phase #not many other shonen out there of fma's caliber (and i sure as shit wasn't finding any more of them at the time lol)#sto parlando
