Our Skyy Season 2 Pitch - PureFolk version

PureFolk (My Gear Your Gown)

subtitled: Back Off Bitch

One of pure's "exes" is back, with the goal of locking him down as a boyfriend and not just a sex partner

She happens to meet pure and folk in a cafe or something and at first she and pure are pretty friendly, though pure is maybe a bit uncomfortable

it's clear that she's one of pure's past hookups but folk isn't really bothered by this, it's not the first time he's met one of pure's exes

then the girl, while not explicitly stating that she wants to date, makes it pretty clear that she'd like to "reconnect"

again, folk still isn't bothered, it's not the first time this has happened, still, he turns out to be a pretty possessive boyfriend, so he throws his arm around pure and calls him darling or some other sweet nickname that he would never actually use

it's a pretty clear "fuck off" and it's usually all it takes to scare off pure's admirers, especially bc pure gets all happy when his boyfriend does stuff like that which makes it pretty clear he's committed

girl falters for a minute but keeps flirting like nothing happened, but maybe a bit more subdued and less overt

folk not so politely excuses them, saying they have a date and they leave

folk pretty much forgets about the incident after that until he sees the same girl talking to pure again on campus, body language screaming flirting

important to note, pure is relaxed and friendly but clearly not returning the flirtatious attitude

folk decides he needs to be more overt and clear in his claim, so he walks over, puts a hand around pure's waist and kisses him on the cheek

pure is clearly delighted by his boyfriend's attention

(folk is a very loving boyfriend and has no problem showing his love, but he tends to be a bit subdued with pda beyond handholding, so pure loves it when he does pda and he thinks it's cute when folk gets possessive)

so the girl keeps going anyway and even invites pure out for dinner, but folk interrupts with "sorry, we actually have a date tonight"

girl bristles a little, but keeps smiling, tries to go on, but folk cuts her off and ends the conversation, they leave

folk has to give it to her, the girl is persistent, even when pure has given no indication that he wants to start any kind of relationship with her

queue a montage of folk doing increasingly bigger gestures to prove that pure loves him and is not interested including just like full on making with him when he knows she can see, but she does not give up so folk has to keep escalating

it is important to note that folk's actions here are NOT motivated by insecurity. this is not a "im possessive bc i'm worried you'd leave me for her" kind of situation, folk is 100% confident in their relationship and has no doubts about pure or his commitment (the point of this is comedy, not angst)

no, this is about winning and making that girl give up

he tells pure all this when pure sits him down to have a conversation, worried that folk feels insecure and that's why he's doing this, he even tells folk that he directly turned her down (but she said she would keep trying) and he would tell her to stop talking to him if she was really bothering folk

folk tells him that he's very sweet but no, this is about proving superiority and he doesn't need his boyfriend's help

pure is relieved and can't help laughing at his adorable boyfriend

finally everything culminates in an argument between folk and the girl while pure isn't present

the girl's argument is basically 'pure has slept around with a lot of people, so you're not special, maybe he likes you right now, but he'll get bored and move on, and I'll have my chance'

folk absolutely fucking roasts her like 'well he's already had you and got bored, so i'm not really seeing any competition' and then continues with a more heartfelt speech about how their relationship is about love and it's not just a fling and she can try whatever she wants but nothing is going to sway pure

(it's very evident in his speech that he truly isn't insecure about their relationship, I literally can't express this enough, jealousy born from insecurity is one of my least favorite tropes, we stan a confident folk)

the girl walks off, fuming, but defeated

pure comes out and reveals that he heard everything and he's super duper in love with folk

then the conversation actually turns to pure's insecurities, bc he's always been a little worried that folk is bothered by his past, especially with some of the stuff the girl said about him (he's not ashamed of his past, just worried about folk's feelings, no slut-shaming here)

folk reassures him that his past doesn't bother him, and everybody is free to do whatever they want with their body, it doesn't affect their current relationship in any way

then it's all mushy and stuff as they reaffirm their love and whatnot

also sprinkled in throughout the episode are just cute fluffy moments between the two, like on a date or hanging out in one of their rooms and stuff
