Oh man, here’s a Wellington thought below the cut:

Wellington’s Destiny is the World, right? He will return to the Surface, it’s like the biggest facet of his personality- his career is based around it, his KataTox proficiency is because of it.

But he was born in London, raised in London. He understands the Neath, understands the strangeness inherent to it. The Surface? It’s a foreign country, much like the past. He’s studied it, but studies will never measure up to the real thing.

He might like it up there- might very well flourish there. I have no doubt he’d love it. But I can definitely see him deciding to head back.

Back to the now Fallen Berlin, now, and some comforting strangeness. His life’s one goal accomplished, and a sense of emptiness that can only be filled by the deep darkness.

He can always return again, when his ‘Surface-sickness’ gets bad enough. It’ll just take a while.
