once making art becomes a central part of your life, it becomes unbearable to live without it.
#I was just hit with the strong NEED to play music. I haven't played my flute in over a year.#I need to draw more. I need to do something I need to let things out#not even as a vent just as like... it's almost like emotional bloodletting#letting a part of your soul into the world to be known#leaving an impression however fleeting on the world around you#I said this#it's sooo sos o so so so fucking important to make art#to sing to dance to draw to paint to write to play it's so important#for your health. I'm serious. we would all be healthier and happier people if art was celebrated#ALL art. amateurs. total beginners. hell they deserve praise more than any professional or prodigy#professionals MUST make art. it's their job. amateurs make art for the sake of it#both can love it. but truly an amateur's determination to share their vision#no matter how 'crude'#is one of the strongest passions on this earth#lord without art we would not be#we were put on this earth for no greater purpose but to exist#whether you think a creator put us here or not. whether our existence is chance or fate or probability#we make our own meaning out of our lives. and mine is to make art
