Some other people found out from the teaser that Saki has a ring on one of her fingers, likely a wedding one. It doesn't seem like any of the other girls have rings, so she might be the only one in this sequel that is married, initially at least.

My hope is that she's married to Mai, or Michiru, I'm not picky, but it's most likely to a man.

Off the top of my head, there are two possibilities from the original Splash Star. The first is Mai's older brother, Kazuya, who Saki is very clearly crushing on throughout the season, but it seemed more like an unrequited love a young girl might have for an older boy the same way in Cardcaptor Sakura where Sakura has a crush on Yukito.

The other option is Kenta, the boy that Saki occasionally banters with, and he also seems to crush on her a few times early on, but as the season progressed, their "romance" didn't really develop, like Saki never really saw him as anything more than a friend. I wouldn't be that opposed to him being her husband, since he's not bad compared to some of the other guy love interests in this franchise later on.

They could also just make up a man for Saki to be married too, and it's not like that's unrealistic, you don't always end up marrying your childhood friends/first love. In my opinion, that would feel a bit odd, because OtonaPre has about a 10-20 year timeskip from when we last saw these women, so to start off with Saki married to someone we know basically nothing about, feels a bit cheap, unless there is enough backstory to make it work. Even so, it's still up in the air how many episodes OtonaPre has, so I'm not sure they'd want to spend too much time laying the groundwork for that potential new character.

Moving onto Mai, it would be really sad if Saki was the only one of the two who got married. Like, for better or worse, in Splash Star, Saki is shown to be crushing on guys, while Mai didn't get as much development regarding romance, other than acting like a third wheel for Saki's endeavors. I don't recall Mai ever falling in love with a guy, in fact, you could say she was in love with Saki instead.

Similarly, in the original Futari wa, Nagisa was the one who got most of the romantic development. Hell, in Max Heart, Honoka barely got episodes focused on her while Nagisa had several where she tried to vie for Fuji-P. Should they be in OtonaPre, and although I don't want it to happen, Nagisa would probably end up with Fuji-P. It would be such a shame, because one of her traits in the original anime is that she's popular with the girls, even getting love letters from them. She exclaims how she'd rather be popular with the boys than girls, but in a later episode, she says that if Honoka was a boy, she'd be in love with her, which I think does a good job at hinting towards her closeted feelings. I really detest the trope where romance between girls is seen as a thing to "grow out of," like it's just a schoolgirl fad.

Regarding Honoka, they don't really give her much in hetero romance. There are like, three guys that I can think of that only maybe could be paired with her, barring another new man they invent. The first is Fuji-P's friend/teammate, Kimata, but he barely interacts with Honoka at all, and I would hate that, because it would feel like a "consolation prize" if Nagisa ended up with Fuji-P. The second is Kiriya, the former Dotsuku Zone denizen who infiltrated their school to try and defeat them, only to end up developing a strong bond with the sisterly Honoka, but I never really saw this as a budding romance, especially on Honoka's end. Plus, Kiriya basically dipped by the end of the original Futari wa, and didn't even show up in Max Heart, so it would just feel like an afterthought if they paired them together with that missing development. The third option is Nagisa's younger brother, Ryouta, who has a crush on Honoka, but, lmao, that's really just played as a joke.

In fact, I think the anime actually portrays Honoka as being mostly uninterested in boys, despite being popular with them. She rejects all of their advances, says that if she were to go out with a boy, there'd need to be mutual respect, which implies that she doesn't feel respected by them and thus doesn't even consider them. There's also the fact that she admires Nagisa's popularity with the girls, which I feel hints at something a bit more about her romantic desires. I could go on here, but I hope this gets my point across.

To sum it up, Saki ending up with a family while Mai doesn't would create such a disappointing incongruity for these two women who were very intertwined in the anime we watched them in. The same is true of Nagisa and Honoka should they also appear. I would rather none of them end up with any romantic conclusion (thus leaving it up to interpretation) whatsoever than only some of them having it.

Futari wa Pretty Cure Max Heart Origin Story

In the year 5000 BCE Vanessa created the Garden of Light. However, when it was still in Beta Mode, Diabolos had one of his generals corrupt half of it with his magic, resulting in the creation of the Dotsuku Zone. Vanessa separated the two halves and locked the Dotsuku Zone away, but Diabolos had already placed his Negative Boss, Evil King, within it to build an army.

6,989 years later, in 1989 CE, Queen noticed that the seal was weakening and contacted Vanessa for help. Vanessa created a transformation device called Card Communes. She decides to make the transformation device a part of the team’s Cure Chaos so she makes the completed devices into a yellow ball of light and a pink ball of light. She gives them to Queen, telling her to give them to two Chaos she trusts because giving it to them will turn them into Cure Chaos.

When the Garden of Light is attacked by the evil Dotsuku Zone, Queen manages to stop the darkness from devouring her castle but they did manage to steal five of the seven Prism Stones. After the attack, Queen chose two Chaos named Mipple and Mepple to give the Cure Fairy power to. She told them that with that power she gave them they can both turn into the Card Communes, the transformation device for the Pretty Cure, whom they must find and partner up with. She then gives them the red and indigo Prism Stones for safekeeping before they leave the Garden of Light. They keep the stones in their tails while the Cures recover the rest of them.

When the two girls were fighting Ilkubo to get the Prism Hopish and Wisdom back, Vanessa visited Queen and told her that even if they get all the Prism Stones they would still need more power to attack Evil King. Queen asks what they should do and Vanessa tells her to send Pollun to Mobius to get the girls and bring them to the Garden of Light. Queen protests and says that he can’t go because those from the Garden of Light can only stay in the Garden of Rainbow (which is what they call Mobius) for a short time before they grow tired and the only reason Mipple and Mepple can stay there is that they’re Cure Chaos. Vanessa gives her a glowing green ball and tells her to give it to him before she sends him. Vanessa then explains that it will turn Pollun into a Cure Chao so he can give the Cures more power. After she leaves, Queen gives Pollun the Cure Fairy power which allows him to turn into the Pretty Commune which holds the Rainbow Bracelets before sending him to wait for the rainbow to appear when all the Prism Stones are together.

The Prism True Love Detector was the only item not created by Vanessa.

Before the Cure Fairies fall asleep at the end of the Cure’s journey, Vanessa goes to talk to Queen. She explained that giving them her magic would not completely defeat the Evil King, but only destroy his body, causing him to come back. The same would happen to Queen if she gave them her power. Queen smiles and says that she knows Vanessa has a plan (Many of Vanessa's family say that Queen is a lot like Vanessa and it is true, Queen is one of the few people able to read Vanessa).

When Queen divided herself, Vanessa was there but no one could see her. She divided herself into three parts: the twelve Heartiels, representing her will, the Queen Chairect, representing her heart, and Hikari Kujou/Shiny Luminous, representing her life. Vanessa upgraded Mipple, Mepple, and Pollun's device forms and left a glowing pink ball with Cure Fairy power for the young Princess of Light, which she let float in the Garden until the right time. Vanessa sent the Heartiels and Hikari Kujou to Mobius and bubbled the Queen Chairect and the three new light balls before sending them to her workshop.

When the girls are attacked by a Zakennas she sends the light balls to the Cure Faires, allowing them to wake up and help the girls transform. Later Vanessa sends the Queen Chairect to Hikari and sends the pink light ball to Lulun, who at first plays with it before it’s absorbed into her body. When it does she turns into a Cure Chao, allowing her to turn into the Miracle Commune which holds the Heartiel Brooch. Vanessa then tells Lulun about the Prism Hopish and lends her to it which she uses to teleport to Mobius.

After the defeat of the first Evil King, Diabolos shows no interest in helping the next Evil King and just lets them do whatever they want (he doesn’t care because he has other bosses to worry about and he knows that he would get his power back anyway).

After the complete defeat of the Dotsuku Zone and the revival of Queen, Queen expresses to Vanessa how sad the girls are now that Hikari is gone and how she wishes she could bring her back. Vanessa smiles and tells her that she could do it if she wanted but it also means that the boy that was the Evil King’s ‘life’ would also come back as well. Queen tells her that she doesn’t see the problem with that since he seems more good than evil, so Vanessa brings the two back to life.

Hikari Kujou is a Horse Mobian but turns into a Unicorn as Shiny Luminous, even after she is no longer Queen's "life".

Rubs my hands together evilly- OK SO! You're getting Nezumi hcs since you didnt specifiy and i have the most for him- ranging from small ones to like. Story changing ones in no particular order

He has freckles all over- they're super faint and are most visible in the summer

He's severely touch repulsed- the idea of a hug or even holding hands with someone disgusts him- Bonus hc: Ushii is extremely oh so painfully touch starved and Usagi is so clingy he'll hug as a greeting

AroAce but hasn't realized it yet. Hasnt really had the time to sit down and figure it out with the whole being a warrior thing

He was in color guard in middle school for a single week (this is flavor text from an old fic i write in 2020 that makes me oddly happy)

Jazz held up her right index finger when she added, "With both the Ghost in question and Mr Walker himself if he catches you slacking off on learning these Ghosts."

Sam shrugged when she said, "He's gotten better at that."

Technus leaned back a bit with a weary look on his face when he got out slowly, "No... Why are YOU telling me this?"

"Wait! Wait! Wait!" Paulina said as she waved a hand. She then pointed at Sam when she asked in disbelief, "How do YOU know someone as super popular as Ember?"

Sam raised a brow when she replied, "Uhh, she's gotten in trouble with the law a few times. So I have the unfortunate joy of knowin' her."

Danny scratched his head before he asked, "Umm... Before or after she tried to, uh, hit on Walker?"

Sam shot her friend a glare when she stated, "I told you to never bring that up."

Tucker raised a brow when he got out in confusion, "Uh, no offence, but Walker doesn't seem to be the type of person, or Ghost in this case, that Ember would go for."

Danny, trying to avoid Sam's glare, was quick to say, "That's not why she did it."

Dotsuku flashed a smile, that hopefully hid his uneasiness when he said, "I guess I was lucky with being in the right place at the right time." He then took a gulp of his drink.

Takeyasu glanced at his brother when he said, "Oi, Aniki..."

Nagayuki nodded when he said, "Yeah..." He looked over the string of well-crafted, coloured beads when he added, "These were made by someone who knows what they're doing. And expertly, might I add."

Meanwhile...

"AAAAA-CHOOO!" Nezumi suddenly got out. He sniffed as he rubbed his nose. His attention was back on what he was doing. Nezumi carefully carved a bone into a couple of bead shapes. He carefully looked them over before he set the better-looking ones to the side in a growing pile to dye later.

Dotsuku walked into the shared rented room before closing the door behind him. He was quick to notice what the teen was doing before he asked, "Were you that bored while I was away?" He glanced at the pile of beads when he added, "Umm... Don't you think you made too many?"

Nezumi was now aware of the number of beads he made when he said, "Uhh, I think I did..."

Conner blinked in confusion when he realised the strange-shaped gemstone had been snatched from his hands. His eyes followed the Twins as they quickly used a cloth to clean the gem's surface of any fingerprints before they placed it back in the statue's paws. But the clone could still hear the sound of the violin playing the song coming from the gem. 'Can... No one else hear that?' Conner wondered as he watched the Twins offer their apologies to the Rat statue.

Artemis stared at the scene before her in shock when she got out, "What! What the hell happened to him?!"

Kid Flash's face contorted in a grimace when he said, "He looked like he was attacked by... Something nasty."

"A lot of somethings..." Robin noted, resisting the urge to hurl, as he tried to analyze the bite marks in the raw flesh. He just could look at those for more than a few seconds.

Uuma tilted his head in confusion. Scratching his right cheek with his right index finger as he thought back to the interrupted Rite Of Passage.

As he kept his grip on the squirming orangette in his left arm, Ushii used his right to pull a gold coin out of his pocket. The Warrior of the Ox flicked the coin to the bar owner when he stated, "This should cover whatever she drank and any damages she caused. I apologise for the scene but I must take my companion back for an important mission." He turned to the entranceway and started walking out when he scolded the woman struggling in his hold, "Tora, you have been told to hold off on the drinks until after we get our Rat back."

"Meeeeeeeeeeanie!" Tora slurred out before she sniffed the Warrior of the Ox's hair. She now had on a goofy grin when she got out drunkenly, "Ooooo, you smell nice!' She then proceeds to nuzzle the other like a snuggling cat.

Ushii pretended not to notice the Warrior of the Tiger's antics, or the stares he was getting from all these Outsiders.

The grey-haired teen squinted an eye at the cutout before realizing why it looked familiar. "Oh, it's Usagi the Demon Rabbit," he said before he quickly snapped a picture of the cutout.

Kanae spotted an old ink well under the main animator's desk when she said, "Knowing that now... It makes you wonder what kind of boss Mr Drew was back in the day..."

"The walls seem strange..." Eiji responded, only half paying attention. 

Michio raised a brow at this and asked, "And what about the walls is distracting you so much that you outright missed me calling you by a nickname that gets you flustered?" 

This got Eiji's attention when he asked, "You did what now?" 

Kanae gave her twin brother a concerned look when she said, "Eij, explain best you can about this 'weirdness' of the walls." 

Eiji glanced at the walls again when he said, "I do not know. I did notice that the walls in that animator's room also seemed strange... I think the strangeness was more potent in there, and I can not understand why..."

Dating Inounoshishi while transiting is actually ideal

Not only does she support you and whatever gender you want to be, but mama has money and is going to pay for it

You're her darling, why wouldn't she pay to keep you happy?

She's also going to take you shopping. She loves shopping and the idea of getting you a whole new wardrobe is to good.

Just be nice and say thank you, and show how much you appreciate her

Honestly? She never got to figure out who she really was/is as a person since she was always trying to please her parents. Seeing you figure out/announcing who you really are is really motivating for her.

Dotsuku

Doesn't have a problem with it.

May occasionally slip up on your pronouns, but always corrects himself immediately. After a week? Doesn't mess up again

Dog. Loyal. He's not about to let something like you being who you really are affect what he thinks of you.

Added bonus: His daughter just rolls with it. Kids aren't as stupid as people make them out to be. If you used to be a princess/prince, you're now the opposite. The real question is, what kind of super hero cape do you want?

Dostuku will help with your medical bills. If doctors give you shit for it, the man has connections. He will find a good doctor who respects you and get your surgery (if you so choose) taken care of

Niwatori

The whole idea of being trans is a little confusing at first for her, but it takes about 000.1 seconds for her to decide it doesn't really matter?

Her whole life she's been a tool for the family, with you she's a person. In the end, no matter how you identify, as long as you still love her that's what matters?

Does a TON of research. She gets books, medical journals, ect. She uses her contacts to find doctors for you, and don't worry. Cost isn't an issue.

Anyone who tries anything just...vanishes. You know from that weird smile she gets she 110% had something to do with it

If you ever feel ad or dysphoric about your body, she's very supportive.

Sharyu

She already knew. She's very perceptive, and was just waiting for you to be comfortable telling her.

The most supportive.

Does whatever she can to make you comfortable. If you want new cloths, she'll shop with you. If you're to embarrassed to go to a store, she'll order online.

Never uses the incorrect pronouns for you.

Will put one of those little trans flags in the window of her apartment.

If there's a pride event, will go with you.

Arranges a good doctor for your transition when you're ready, and will go to appointments if you're nervous

Hitsujii

He's old, and has seen it all. He may be older, but he's not going to question it.

One of those "Whatever makes you happy" people

Doesn't understand a lot of surgery details and hormone stuff. He'll try to research it, but you may have to help him learn terminology. He does catch on fast

The idea of surgery freaks him out because he has no control. He’d help you, but he is going to be silently panicking on the inside

Uuma

Actually really cool with it? Just tell him you still love him. The first thing he worries about is that you’re going to become this amazing you, and the you that loved him wont love him anymore

Really supportive? Doesn’t know a lot about trans issues, but he tries

He will probably buy you anything with the trans flag on it. 

If you have surgery, he’s going to make sure only the BEST doctors do it

Listens when you talk if you have feelings to get out. It just makes him really happy you’re confiding in him

Takeyasu

Trans? Cool. Fine. Help him pull off this heist

He really doesn’t care, if you’re happy he’s fine with it? 

Actually brings up frogs that can change their gender, and that there’s a species of lizards that reproduce without asexually. If reptiles do it, why can’t people?

Gives you money for surgery if you wanna get it. Worries through the entire thing, but only Nagayuki knows about his brother internal freak out

Has trouble using the correct pronouns, but tries really hard and corrects himself. 

Nagayuki

He already knew way before you told him. He’s perceptive, smart, and also finds your online content. Really, he was just waiting for you to tell him yourself

Probably gets you a tray of cupcakes with the frosting colored with the trans flag colors. He likes snacks, any excuse to get snacks and make you happy? Killing two birds with one stone

Master of your pronouns and possibly your new name

You know how hard it is to change your name? This dude hacks into the systems and does it in a night. 

Helps you get surgery if you want it. Not emotional about it, but will hold your hand if you want him to. 

Ushii

Help him. He doesn’t understand trans when you first bring it up, but when you explain it clicks

Now he is fully on board and ready

While he can’t keep up with a lot of LGBTQ+ terms, he supports you and what makes you happy. You want to be the gender you’ve always wanted? No problem. Just tell him what he needs to do

Has fought someone who purposely misgendered you before. 

Will take you shopping if you’d like
