sometimes just kind of mulling over winstons “sure, why not” line in 3x09 that he then “corrects” at taylor’s prompting, like, we don’t really know why he seems to be slightly bristling over something....there’s the idea, i guess, that he is just like, Naturally Rude regardless of anything else, but that’s hardly super nailed down even just within s3 content, & this is his second episode ever, & the first episode he’s written intentionally as a recurring character.....and his earlier appearance in 3x09 sure seems to make it clear that the only [being a dick? backsliding?] moment is unintended on his part, whereas in the basement he seems to have some attitude at least somewhat deliberately....taylor didn’t specify anything about working in a basement (unless the address they handed him mentioned it) or about working with anyone else, maybe he’s unhappy about the latter, especially since that’s clearly an issue in between then & 3x11.....but also what’s resolved in kompenso isn’t winston being pleasant to deal with for those coworkers or anyone else, but rather about him and taylor figuring out how / confirming they can deal with each other well enough, so maybe it’s just all about him and taylor in 3x09 as well, where it’s all well & good he approached that first post math meetup meeting in a very conciliatory way, but now that he’s got Any leverage at all there’s a little more pride involved and he did have a bad time in his dealings with them prior lol, is this a little moment of Testing things like he then does in kompenso.....does taylor go “sad” at his metaphor in kompenso despite that not really making sense solely as a tiny response to him still fucking up in a way he wasn’t meant to lol......
