i have a few things to comment abt this which will be isolated under the cut so the post doesnt get too bloated :] mainly small hcs about meiko/kaito/miku hhhh

an idea that briefly popped in my head when i was brushing my teeth that i did not want to let get away. it was ambitious and i liked the concept of using my hc'd versions of the younger crypton vocaloids (miku's beta design and meiko/kaito's v1 designs) interacting with each other, so i went for it. i designed the general vibe of the background in animal crossing, ol reliable for these kinds of things, since i knew i wanted to cram as much detail in the environment as i could. i made a post about it on my personal account here since i was quite proud of this build.

as i was decorating, i kept spontaneously making headcanons for the younger meiko/kaito/miku unit in order to understand how to populate their living space with accurate clutter. i ended up totally overdecorating the whole thing and only referenced a small portion of the interior (like, why'd i go so hard on thinking about the yard? thats just what happens when i try taking this route) but i did like some of the ideas i came up with to explain my decorative choices. here's just a ramble.

oh yeah i guess i should get something i mentioned in the tags of that art i made w all the crypton gang's "younger" versions out of the way: i hc the character vocal gangs' "younger" designs to be their "IF" or beta designs. and meiko and kaito's younger versions are their V1 designs, mainly inspired by how they appear in the earlier project diva games (every time i look at them i just see them as awkward teens still trying to figure out who they are lmao)

also mentioned there that sakine meiko and meiko are one in the same and the fanloid and vocaloid arent separate entities. sakine meiko was meiko in her early music career as a relatable teen pop idol, with the "sakine" family name being made up to create that image. once meiko grew into an adult, she put the persona behind and just went by meiko, and around that time she met kaito and theyd be musical partners for a while

meiko sort of adopts miku into their unit when she recognizes her potential and serves as a mentor to her after then. kaito is the same but acts more as a supportive guardian in comparison. rin, len, and luka would come along later of course.

yeah i really fuck with the idea of the crypton gang being a little family :] i think it's neat! and this art/animal crossing build was a fun way to explore that hc a little

meiko is a physical media fiend, especially for music. loves collecting cds and vinyls and the like; they're littered all over the house. loves rock music too

kaito on the other hand has a knack for gardening and tends to the very modest garden outside their house. also collects a lot of art he finds in thrift marts and such for novelty's sake

miku always dedicated herself to improving her craft and finding her voice thanks to the help of meiko. she was also kind of a nerd at this era. very serious and dedicated

these folks did not know how to clean shit up, everything left lying on the floor ends up being an intentional decoration (probably not clear in this but i did like scattering stuff around to the best of my ability in the AC build)

when you do eventually start going out, keep in mind you're probably his first real anything, so-

niko needs to take it slow for the first month or so because he needs time to adjust and get used to being in a relationship.

when he gets comfortable around you, niko starts to talk a lot more.

niko starts to talk about his interests more-soccer, stem stuff (idc i'll die by my hc that he's a stem boy), etc. and niko's really happy that you're genuinely interested in what he has to say :)

and as your relationship progresses, niko becomes more inclined to share his inner thoughts.

but when he does try, i feel like his humor comes in the form of sarcasm and dry wit. likes poking fun at you here and there with a lighthearted jab.

Yeah along that line K_K bakes like a frick ton, gets really good at decorating cookies, makes cookies of the SCC members like all the time

Sweet falls asleep like anywhere and anytime, they just like doze off randomly. K_K and Cap'n make sure that Sweet stays on the turntables as much as possible when they're out bc then they'll faceplant into the turntables instead of the ground (which still isn't great but it's preferable)

Sweet also really loves rhythm games like DDR and stuff like that.

Sweet and Cap'n have a playful rivalry (usually more like banter between friends than any true rivalry)

Sweet does patrols around Cyber World, they like to have a bird's eye view of things, it makes them breathe a bit easier, plus they can watch Cap'n and K_K to make sure they're safe.

What is your opinion on kyoru's physical intimacy? I'm seeing two pretty distinct camps at least in the fanfic community: that they took forever to get there (like until they moved to their own place) or that they started out in Shigure's house. And I've also noticed a lot of people infantalising Tohru to the point where she's a completely non-sexual being, even though she ended up married with 3 kids?

ahhh hello! okay great question, and related to something i actually went off about in this post lol.

to reiterate a bit, i don’t really have a problem with kyo and tohru waiting until they move out to start an intimate relationship. like that’s not my personal hc, but i don’t hate that idea and i don’t think it’s Incorrect to hc that they’d wait to move out first (i’ve read some truly lovely fics that use exactly that concept without making a weird big deal out of it, and they use it extremely effectively and in an in-character way). like, i see it, it’s valid! and that’s fine. what i talked about in my earlier post, though, is that i think the hc that they waited FOREVER to start having sex, that they specifically waited until marriage due to shame/embarrassment, or that they like, only have sex to have kids and not because they just want to/”only have sex three times to have three kids” lmao, isn’t the best take—just because i think it stems a lot from toxic purity culture and the thought that kyo and tohru are too cute or pure or wholesome to also want a sexual relationship.

so to answer your question about their physical intimacy: my thoughts on it are shaped a lot by their physicality that we see in canon!! in that, they’re suuuuuper touchy with each other. kyo, in particular, definitely expresses affection primarily through touch—holding hands, headbonks, hugging even though it makes him transform… like kyo is really touch starved lmao. tohru is less forward in initiating touch—i think it just doesn’t come as naturally to her vs other forms of affection—but she’s always receptive when kyo touches her. and that’s before they even start dating—in the last few chapters once they’re in a relationship, they’re again very touchy with each other (with tohru initiating, too). so i think that that would translate very naturally to their sexual relationship. that is, i think they’d be very comfortable with it and that it becomes a big part of how they express their love.

on the one hand, kyo is the more physically expressive of the two, but i think his fear of harming tohru and general self-hatred that he’s still trying to get over post-curse might make him more hesitant to take that step with tohru. he wouldn’t avoid sex like the plague, but rather i think he’d need pretty consistent reassurance from tohru at first that she really wants to, that he’s not hurting her, etc. and then with tohru, she’s less physical than kyo, so i could see her being a bit more unsure of how to get the ball rolling… but also tohru is obviously very determined! and stubborn! so after they start dating and she feels comfortable being more intimate with him (which, like i said, i think happens pretty quickly), i think tohru absolutely wants to take that step, and i don’t think she’s afraid of telling kyo what she wants.

i honestly fall more into the “they had sex while they’re still at shigure’s” camp. i mean… they’ve had rampant sexual tension between them for a solid year… after endless yearning and drama, they finally get to be together… the curse is gone so there’s nothing keeping them apart physically… they’re madly in love and “clingy” with each other… they live under the same roof, across the hall from each other… yeah lmao. given all of that, combined with how tactile they naturally are with each other already, i just don’t see them waiting very long to become more physically intimate. and tbh the reasoning of “oh they’d wait because they wouldn’t want shigure to know” doesn’t really ring true for me because, since when does shigure even go upstairs? and does he usually barge into tohru’s room in the middle of the night? and re: yuki sharing a wall with tohru, i’ll be dead serious. i’m not sure they are thinking far enough ahead to consider yuki being next door. which is terribly unfortunate for yuki alksdflaksj but i don’t think it’s out-of-character for kyo and tohru LMAO. again, i think these things would be an aspect of navigating their sexual relationship, but i don’t think it stops them altogether from having one before they move out.

now wrt people infantilizing tohru, i really don’t like that take (preface again: this isn’t about hc’ing her or kyo as ace or anything along those lines.). not only do i think it’s unfortunate to write tohru as this completely non-sexual being because it’s tied into, again, a woman’s purity being based on whether she has sex or not—i also think it just doesn’t make sense for her character. sure, tohru is an airhead, doesn’t have prior relationship experience, etc., but people seem to forget that not only was her mom in a gang, she was literally a teen mom. tohru was 15/16ish when her mom died—and people really think kyoko never had The Talk with her? hello?? so yes i definitely think tohru knows what sex is LOL, and i think she has pretty normal sexual desires typical of a teenager/young adult. and because she had Excellent Sex Ed, i really don’t think she’d be averse to acting on those feelings once she falls in love with kyo and starts dating him. also, i know we all meme’d on tohru for this but like.... the comment about kyo’s hands getting bigger... like. i’m SORRY but what do people think that MEANS if it’s not tohru thirsting over kyo and his hands ajlksdhlksdh but ANYWAYS....

SO in conclusion, my takes: physical intimacy is definitely big for kyoru, and i don’t think it took them a ton of time before they started exploring that part of their relationship. they had insecurities and hang ups to work through like any other couple, but taking that step was ultimately very natural and comfortable for them! they’re awkward nerds in love and they also have sex and those things don’t contradict each other. :’)) and also uhhhhh if they had three kids they definitely had sex more than three times. like. a lot more than three times LMAO.

in honor of kubard getting a volume cover, are there any kubard x shapur meta / hcs you want to share?

YES! I’m so sorry it’s taken me this long to finish drafting this post, thank you for being patient! I wrote a whole essay and it’s kind of embarassing. I guess I really do have a lot of Kubard/Shapur headcanons? Anyway, here they are. Some of them are firm, some of them are situationally flexible – I often have different ‘versions’ of the same headcanon but the core components tend to remain the same.

(Just a warning that there are a few mentions of sex in here, nothing explicit though!)

Shapur is VERY VERY GAY

Kubard is not quite exclusively into women, though he has a strong preference for them. He just doesn’t particularly see the point in ruling anything out, and if he ends up in bed with a man on occasion then so what? He’s got pretty broad tastes as far as women are concerned, but a very definite ‘type’ when it comes to men. Shapur is an exact fit for that type, much to Kubard’s displeasure.

While Kubard is aware of his attraction to Shapur right from the start, for a long time Shapur doesn’t even realise that his dislike of Kubard also comes with a side order of wanting Kubard to fuck him.

They don’t plan to act on it; Kubard because he’s 100% sure it’d result in more trouble than it’s worth, and Shapur because he’s trying to deny that he’s interested in Kubard in that way. (I don’t think Kubard is much like the type of person Shapur would imagine himself ending up with, lol).

The first time something happens between them, it’s during an argument where all that sexual tension just spills over and suddenly they go from fighting to something else entirely, and it’s desperate and rough and they both utterly regret it and don’t say a single word to each other once it’s over.

Afterwards, they both swear to themselves that it’ll never happen again, and it doesn’t.

…until it does.

More than once.

(They really don’t want to be in the same room as each other the next morning, but if Andragoras III summons his Marzbans it’s not like they have a choice. When that happens, they stand at opposite ends of the line as usual, except they both seem to be hungover, Kubard is clearly in a bad mood, Shapur is lacking his usual composure and they’re refusing to even look at each other, while everyone else is exchanging dubious glances like ‘did they…?’) 

Kubard’s thoughts after the first time they fuck are along the lines of ‘Ugh, well at least that’s over with now.’ He doesn’t expect that they will end up doing it again (and again, and again…). 

As for Shapur, he immediately resolves to never think of what happened that night and is determined to forget it somehow. (Spoiler: he thinks about it a lot and it really pisses him off.)

It takes a loooong time for their relationship to progress. To begin with it’s just sporadic unplanned hatesex, then they start deliberately causing arguments for the sake of getting it to happen, before eventually they no longer bother with that step because by now it’s obvious that they both want to keep doing it.

(This is a super long post so the rest is under a Read More; some of it is serious, some of it is cute and/or amusing, and there’s a few more general headcanons too.)

They are both still certain they’re never going to like each other, but it’s reached the point where perhaps they are not so quick to go their separate ways once it’s over. A flicker of curiosity creeps in, and they start to talk.

It’s exasperating at times (until they reach an unspoken agreement to avoid certain topics when they’re alone together) and somewhat awkward — they avoid any mention of what’s going on between them because they both know that might bring the whole thing to an end— but slowly they begin to get to know each other better.

Back when they first met, their quickly-formed initial dislike of each other meant that they never really questioned their initial negative impressions of each other after that, but now they find themselves reconsidering those preconceptions.It’s gradual at first, but over time conversation becomes easier.

To their surprise, they realise that they have started to enjoy each other’s company. 

At some point, feelings happen.

(I think they’d both struggle with that for different reasons; more on that later). 

By this point, their relationship is one of Ecbatana’s worst-kept secrets and everyone knows that they’re fucking the two of them are fond of each other despite their continual public disagreements about duty and attitude etc. The other Marzbans realised what had happened straight away, except for Daryun who was oblivious. (Andragoras isn’t interested; all he cares about is that they do their jobs.)

Kubard knows that everyone knows. On the other hand, Shapur is still under the impression that the others are unaware, and nobody dares to mention anything that might let on the truth. Kubard finds all of this to be highly amusing and is just waiting for someone to fuck up and let it slip.

Shapur’s household staff and captains also figured out what was going on pretty quickly, but are gracious enough to allow Shapur to pretend that they don’t know long after the point where he’s realised that surely they must. To begin with they are dubious about the whole thing and bemused by the fact that it’s Kubard, but as the relationship improves, the majority are relieved that Shapur has someone to spend the night with from time to time (let’s just say that over the years he’s rarely shown any interest in pursuing romantic relationships).

Shapur has a reputation for being strict and is renowned as someone who is both firm and fair. His troops are fiercely loyal to him, but it’s widely known that he is exceptionally bad-tempered when he and Kubard aren’t getting along so well —  back when they were still at the stage of having arguments that led to sex, anyone who made a mistake the next day would receive a far sharper rebuke than normal.

(His captains do their best to cut down on gossip among the lower ranks, but in those early days his men often shared a common and unspoken thought: ‘He let it happen again, didn’t he?’).

Kubard is basically allergic to monogamy, whereas Shapur prefers a committed relationship. The fact that neither of them is prepared to admit that they are even in a relationship in the first place limits their ability to talk about this, although Kubard’s not oblivious to the fact that Shapur is unhappy about it. Tbh it might not help much even if they did discuss it, because Kubard doesn’t really seem like he’s the type to compromise himself for a sexual partner.

(Having said that, I do tend to headcanon that after he starts sleeping with Shapur, Kubard no longer takes other men to bed. He sees no need to mention it, and it’s not something that happened very often anyway, but when Shapur finds out about it later he is grateful for the concession.)

I mentioned earlier that Shapur hasn’t really spent much time looking for romance, but he’s not inexperienced. He had a few short relationships when he was younger, and once spent the night with one of his captains (a mistake, and not something he allowed to happen again). He knows what he likesand has visited brothels on occasion to satisfy the need. Kubard can still teach him a few things though.

The reason for his tendency to avoid romantic involvement isn’t because he prefers to be alone, but rather because he intends for Isfan to be his heir and for a long time the situation is quite delicate, to say the least. 

(That’s the short version; to expand on it a bit, Shapur is someone who stands by his decisions no matter what, so he won’t do anything that might compromise Isfan’s safety or allow his future status as heir to be contested. This includes refusing to get married despite coming under pressure from his parents to do so, while also trying not to draw too much attention to his sexual preference lest it complicate matters.)

When Kubard eventually learns of how Shapur saved Isfan and then raised him as his heir, it results in him overturning a lot of his assumptions about Shapur. He’s both surprised and impressed by it since he’d previously believed that Shapur would be the type to staunchly follow tradition.   

(As an aside, Shapur would definitely have made a good father and a dutiful husband except in the bedroom, and he seems to have been very involved in Isfan’s upbringing. I get a little sad to think he missed the chance to have a family, even though I’m sure he viewed Isfan as more than enough.)

I definitely see Shapur as someone who prioritises what he sees as his duty above all else. His responsibilities to his country and his brother come before any other personal wants. He’s very proud to be a Marzban, and I think it’s important to his identity in a way that just isn’t true for Kubard.

There’s nothing to stop him from taking a lover once the ‘family drama’ is over, but although the thought does occur to him, his focus remains elsewhere. I suppose he might have ended up going to a brothel a few times, but at the point when he first ended up in bed with Kubard, it’s been a long time since he last got laid.

(No wonder he can’t stop thinking about it, right…?)

As for Kubard, he’s fucked more people than he can remember, not that he was interested in keeping score. He enjoys sex as an uncomplicated physical pleasure while relationships seem to him to be more trouble than they’re worth. (He’s the opposite of Shapur here, who I think much prefers the intimacy and connection of being with someone he cares about.)

The closest Kubard had come to being in a relationship prior to his involvement with Shapur was any one of a handful of short-term casual arrangements based on convenience and mutual sexual gratification (mostly with women but it’s worth noting that a couple of times were with other men while on campaign) and outside of such situations, it’s unusual for him to spend the night with the same person so many times. He sees what’s going on between him and Shapur as the same sort of thing, even as weeks turn into months and the two of them grow closer despite their previous enmity.

To begin with, it doesn’t occur to him to consider that it could be anything else, and later on he’s reluctant to do so, because to acknowledge that it might be something more than that would complicate things, so he tends to avoid thinking about it. (That wouldn’t work for Shapur, but Kubard’s very good at not overthinking things.)

Kubard has the same attitude towards love as he does towards religion. He doesn’t particularly believe in it and he doesn’t feel a need for it in his life. It takes him a long time to arrive at the realisation that when Shapur is not there, the reason he doesn’t feel right is because he misses him. He’s definitely never felt like this about anyone else before.

Shapur knows what love is. He’s been in love before, unlike Kubard. So when he and Kubard begin to form a grudging friendship, he knows what his feelings might be leading to. He’s not exactly happy about it. He might try to resist it or deny it for a while, but it’s useless. The heart wants what the heart wants, you know?

I see them as opposites a lot of the time —Kubard is much faster to recognise his sexual attraction to Shapur, but further down the line Shapur is aware of the emotional sigificance that their relationship has for him, while Kubard is fairly oblivious to the fact that feelings are involved (especially his own).

(I have some fairly complicated thoughts about whether or not they’d ever admit to their feelings for each other. I doubt it. Shapur might, if the situation called for it. I can elaborate if anyone wants, or you can let me know your opinion. it’s my OTP and I can’t even get them to say ‘I love you’ lmao)

Kubard is far more likely to be physically demonstrative in his affections than Shapur, who is more reserved in that respect. Shapur might act like he’s irritated at first, but actually he likes it. I can’t help it, I really love the thought of Kubard softly stroking Shapur’s face, kissing his face and/or nuzzling his neck, rubbing the tension out of his shoulders, being gentle where he used to be rough. He wouldn’t think twice about making casual physical contact, though he might sometimes have a moment of ‘Huh, don’t know why I did that’ afterwards.

(He knows better than to touch Shapur in public, though.)

So yeah, Kubard tends to show his feelings in his actions even if he’s not necessarily aware of it. At first, Shapur is wary of these small signs of intimacy because he’s unsure whether they mean anything or not. He fears that his own feelings for Kubard are going to result in everything ending badly, and so he’s hesitant to do anything that might show just how much Kubard means to him — he wasn’t expecting Kubard’s new affectionate behaviour, and it takes him a long time to become comfortable enough to reciprocate.

(All of this gets easier in time; eventually they stop feeling so conflicted about it.)

The rest of these are a bit more of an assortment rather than following their journey from allies-who-hate-each-other to fuckbuddies-who-start-to-not-hate-each-other to lovers. (I’m really glad didn’t put in any modern AU headcanons or this would be even longer.)

Shapur lets Kubard play with his hair because it feels nice (though the one time Kubard tried to braid it, he got it tangled and Shapur was not pleased and told him that he was making it worse when he tried to help — Kubard knows that the fact that Shapur allowed him a second chance rather than forbidding him from touching it ever again means he really likes it, though he won’t admit it).

(Shapur also gets amusingly self-conscious when he first notices Kubard watching him re-do his braids after sex, probably because he never used to hang around for long enough to see him do it before.)

The first time Shapur smiles at Kubard in public, it catches him unawares and he gets a bit flustered by it. Shapur is usually very stern and serious when on official duty, and this takes place when he’s riding back into Ecbatana with his men after spending some time reinforcing the border. He sees Kubard in the crowd and offers him a small smile, to the surprise of everyone who sees it.)

(The smile was a surprise, but what might be an even bigger surprise is the fact that Kubard is blushing. I really enjoy the idea of Kubard being caught off guard by his feelings, haha.)

Shapur has a sweet tooth (and I know I’ve seen someone else who has the headcanon that he likes sweet things!). It isn’t a widely-known fact, but once Kubard figures it out, if he happens to be passing through Ecbatana’s bazaar he will quite often pick up some sugary delicacies if he’s going to be visiting Shapur later —a gift of something sweet goes a long way towards softening Shapur’s demeanour.

Kubard is a heavy drinker (and that’s canon, of course) but although Shapur does drink, he’s a lot more moderate about it (apart from when he’s picking fights with Kubard).

Though Shapur is much less prone to making rash decisions now than he was in his youth, if those he cares for were hurt or killed in battle he’d lose it and go after those responsible even if it put him in danger. Kubard is more likely to stay rational and think clearly on the battlefield no matter what happens —it’s why, despite his ‘difficult’ personality, he makes a good Marzban. (I also have a headcanon that Kubard became a Marzban at a younger age than Shapur did and Shapur really hates it lmao.)

I have a couple more individual headcanons about Shapur: 1. he is a very bad swimmer, and 2. he’s actually very tolerant of other religions even though he himself is a devout follower of the faith of Pars.

I tend to avoid thinking about Shapur’s fate unless I’m thinking about Kubard somehow rescuing him but here’s a canon-compliant headcanon to end with. At some after he is captured at Atropatene, Shapur hears from another Parsian captive that Kubard escaped, and despite his harsh words earlier, he is glad and later offers up a prayer to the gods on Kubard’s behalf.

(As for Kubard, he must have heard about Shapur’s death at some point. A lot of people witnessed it and word would have spread. I don’t see Kubard as the type to go looking for revenge, but after hearing what happened to Shapur he takes extra pleasure in slaughtering the next bunch of Lusitanians he comes across.)

Triple Espresso Domestic Headcanons - Compiled Version

@catchthespade​ @maidofstars​ you guys had such good hcs, I decided to compile them all into one post. Hope that’s okay! It’s under a read more because it got l o n g

I feel like out of all the options, Shuichi’s place was the most spacious and comfortable for the three of them to live in

MC moved in a few months before Hikaru did

When Hikaru first moved in, he wasnt quite ready to sleep with Shuichi and MC in Shuichi’s room aside from sex tbh. He opted to sleep in the room next door

Eventually, he found he didn’t want to feel isolated from his two loves ((it was cute and sappy af okay))

Shuichi becomes a lot more relaxed once they’re living together. He doesn’t feel the need to be so on schedule or wake up first out of all of them

MC and Hikaru melt and secretly gossip about how much they love seeing Shuichi comfortable

Hikaru brings so much new shit into their place. A flat screen TV for the living room, a sofa, like 20 different coffee mugs. He’s a packrat but he helps make the place feel less uptight

Despite knowing him for so long, Hikaru gets suuuper flustered when he sees Shuichi walk around in his underwear all the time

MC notices this and comes up with a plan: buying matching pajamas for the three of them

When she gives them to Shuichi and Hikaru She’s like “Shu we love you but please don’t give Hikaru a heart attack and wear pants”

He gives in. But all he wears are the pants. Hikaru is just glad He’s making an effort. MC doesn’t complain since it means Shuichi walking around shirtless all day

MC’s pajamas are a nightdress in the same style. The boys low-key go crazy whenever she wears it

Hikaru gets them all into watching tv shows. They have a set schedule throughout the week of stiff they don’t want to miss

If Shuichi or MC end up watching an episode without him, Hikaru is p i s s e d

They pull pranks on each other like, all the time

Hikaru will put googly eyes on everything. The espresso machine, the fridge, even Shuichi’s briefcase

MC writes shaming sticky notes and slaps them on the boy’s backs as she walks by. Like “I didn’t take out the garbage during my turn” or “I hogged all the blankets last night”

Shuichi was banned from pulling pranks after he hid all of MC and Hikaru’s underwear before work

That day, Shuichi woke up to a chorus of ‘SHU’ ‘ARE YOU SERIOUS’

They always have to be touching when they’re at home

Not sexually, but if they’re sitting on the couch Hikaru is resting his hand on MC’s thigh and Shuichi has his hand weaved through her hair

Speaking of touching, MC will leave the room in the middle of the night to get a glass of water and she comes back to find Hikaru snuggled up to Shuichi’s side

They miss her warmth when she leaves. It makes her melt.

When MC wakes up first (which is most of the time), she makes the coffee for all three of them

She walks into the bedroom and waves the fresh mugs of coffee to lure them out of bed she’s like a snake charmer I stg

• As overworked as Shuichi is himself, he gets worried whenever the other two are stressed about work. He tries to be considerate to them and do what he thinks is best for them; like doing their share of work in the house or making them coffee that day. 

The other bidders eventually found out about their relationship, but it took them a long while for everyone to find out. A few members of the gang teased them about being together all the time, but it took everyone at least half a year to discover the relationship! Though, Eisuke discovered much earlier than everyone else when a certain someone moved out of the employee dorms. 

Everyone started catching one when Mc and Hikaru “coincidentally” spent a bit more time cleaing Shuichi’s room. 

Mc and Shuichi have romantic tension with each other since season 2. It increased especially in season 3, but the same happened with Hikaru. 

Out of everyone, Hikaru goes to bed the latest! Shuichi and Mc have to physically drag Hikaru to bed sometimes. 

Their group chat is the definition of sweet and salty. It’s a mix of sweet words of affection and bad talk about the bidders lol

They have their moments where they’re silent, but still together. They’re all near each other, but they will do their own thing. It’s all very comforting!

Oh my god worried Shu is a blessing. I bet he sends very passive texts to them like ‘You know it’s lunchtime, surely you two have eaten?’

The Bidders genuinely can’t figure out for the longest time they’re dating because they’ve always gravitated towards each other. Like everyone is shook (aside from Eisuke) because they all assumed that they hung out to complain about the rest of the Bidders?? I love how the trio has some peace and quiet for the first 6 months of their relationship :’)

Lol @ the extra time cleaning Shuichi’s suite. You know they’re either fooling around or finding some way to prank Shuichi. Covering his desk in sticky notes takes time, chill

I definitely headcanon MC and Shu getting together first so I like that you mention the romantic tension between them in season 2!

Totally agree that Hikaru always goes to bed last. Sometimes MC finds him on the couch, and she makes Shuichi carry him to bed :’)

I am living for triple espresso group chats. One second it’s Hikaru saying something like ‘I hated to leave you two in bed together, but work called me in early </3’ then twenty minutes later MC is like ‘guess whAT THAT FUCKER ASSUKE DID JUST NOW’. It’s honestly a whirlwind

I love the idea of them just feeling comfortable around each other. Like maybe Shuichi is getting work done on his laptop, while Hikaru is listening to music and MC is reading. They’re all in the same room, but they don’t feel the need to entertain each other 24/7. They can just be

They’re all super protective of each other, but the show it in different ways. MC’s the type to defend Shu/Hikaru if anyone talks shit about them. Hikaru’s the type to get confrontational if anyone causes trouble. Shuichi, on the other hand, pulls strings from the shadows and does everything behind-the-scenes.

MC customized their coffee mugs! MC painted a cute lil cactus on Shuichi’s, a top hat for Hikaru’s, and a ribbon for herself.

They have game night every once in a while. Shuichi always wins when they play Chess/Scrabble/Monopoly. Hikaru wins when it’s Taboo, but MC fucking decimates them in Uno (she got quick hands yo)

MC usually does most of the cooking, but the guys help her out sometimes if it doesn’t end up becoming steamy, if you know what I mean ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Their group chat is full of dirt on Eisuke. Hell, their group chat’s photo is a picture of Eisuke getting scratched by a puppy lmao

They have, like, three layers of blankets and comforters just in case someone decides to hog all the blankets.

It took them some time, but Hikaru and MC finally managed to get Shuichi to not wear a three-piece suit at the beach. They were both very happy marveling his physique ;)

Horror movie night is always fun with these dorks because Shuichi and Hikaru purposely pick the scariest movies so MC can hold them/cuddle them when she’s scared.
