Other Mediums for Kumihimo Braids

I started doing Kumihimo using a disk that I bought at Michael.   I found more satin cord at my local bead shop and was soon making all kinds of bracelets.     I got a few books from the library to learn new patterns.   I also bought some books as inspirations of the type of kumihimo that I wanted to do someday.

 I am interested in using other types of "cord" such as ribbon or variegated silk but I am having a hard time finding them on online shops.   Can anyone help me out?
