Complaining about what happens because you stood around complaining...
Had an angry middle aged lady have a go at a driver of a northbound route 319 earlier because the bus wouldn't stop at Platform 5 in the City because that's where her next bus (a route 40) left from. She goes off at the driver because she pressed the button to get off, but the bus didn't stop. "But you stopped around the corner at the other stop when someone pushed the button!" she said loudly (referring to platform 3 - where this service she is on is advertised as stopping). The bus drivers response: "ring up and complain". 
The lady then demands to be let off at the Alinga St/Northbourne Ave lights, but the driver refuses because we were in the middle lane and a bus was pulling up on the inside. After more whinging, she storms off the bus at the next stop, Marcus Clarke St/Rimmer St yelling "I going to miss my bus now!" as she crosses Marcus Clarke and heads back to the City Interchange. Seconds later, the 40 pulled up at Marcus Clarke/Rimmer - she missed it.

NYE fireworks in Canberra
I was feeling a bit bummed out about the whole NYE thing in a place where I didn’t want to be and I was tired so thought I’d go see the 9pm and go to sleep, but I couldn’t walk very far with this foot. Then I realised I did want to be with people after all so I went to a bbq at Georgia’s place and we hung out and talked for hours, then popped onto Ainslie Ave to call in the new year and the view was perfect between the trees and it wasn’t particularly crazy or memorable but just really nice.
