I finally decided to elaborate on the c!Dream pokemon au storyline hahaha.
I hc c!Dream stumbled upon the revival book a long time ago and he forced himself to release all his pokemon he had before to prevent them from being used as leverage against him after it was clear that people would fo anything to monopolise this knowledge.
After escaping imprisonment, he 'destroyed' the revival book but it was soon apparent that he actually ended up integrating it into himself. So he wandered the Earth as a cryptid, never capturing another pokemon as his companion...that is until one particular stubborn Charcadet that he rescued followed him.
Note: He never did capture the Charcadet, he just followed Dream!
#rainystressedart#dream fanart#rainy's pokemon au#today's torture is drawing both Charcadet and Ceruledge#they spar by the way#since c!Dream in my hc dualwield as well#also c!Dream trained himself to be able to go toes to toes against wild pokemon#at least enough for him to fled#normal wild pokemon doesn't approach him though#since he exudes an otherworldly aura

Fablehaven Pokemon AU; Pt 2 (Seth)
lore drop below
Seth as a pokemon ranger!
Seth would be bored out of his MIND tending to the daycare all day; running showers for and grooming cutesy pokemon is fun for about the first four times you do it only.
it doesn't help that there are more interesting (read: unsafe) pokemon available right at the fablehaven daycare! it's just that grandpa sorenson will not budge in letting his grandkids interact with those. something about lacking "experience" and "expertise".
Seth: alright then. bet ←(gets himself into a ranger school Like A Boss)
there's really nothing anyone can do about the school sign up— I'm thinking kids in the pokemon universe are considered their own legal representation around the time they graduate trainer school (13-14 yrs old)
and after the initial scare, everyone concedes it's kind of a good idea, really. Seth gets to explore and interact with wild pokemon while still in a somewhat controlled environment, minimizing the amount of trouble to be stirred.
Kendra is happy to be the one to inform Seth that Ranger School does, too, involve actual textbook studying. he forgor💀
Seth would do the bare minimum for the theory aspects — what he really excels at is practical demonstrations!!!
don't let anyone tell you otherwise; pokemon absolutely interact with people based on Vibes. if you show that misdreavus even the smallest of hesitation you're getting Astonished into your next life dawg.
obviously this is not a problem for Seth. in fact i think he'd be at his very best when approaching wild Dark & Ghost types; those are the most likely to feed from fear and distress!
if you have no fear to feed the little creepers with then theyll be like Well. Hmm. What Now. (top tier strategy)
while on that the rangers here are a bit of mix from the spin offs and from the trainer class from the og games. they have one partner pokemon that will accompany them in their main rescue missions, but their job also involves protecting certain areas from poachers &/or criminals— that means there's also a lot of pokemon battling!
I'll be honest i think Seth's main criteria for his pokemon team is Does It Look Cool? Catch
when his eevee evolved into a sylveon he had to pause to cry throw up bang fists on the wall roll around for a bit. imagine having your team astethics ruined by the sparkly fairy type. Kendra makes fun of it at least once
still comes back to the daycare even while on the training stage; when he graduates as an actual ranger the first place Seth will suggest to send rescued pokemon to is fablehaven
Partner Pokemon
Absol: look at me in the eyes a dark type pokemon which is frequently labeled as a chaos bringer & malicious when it in fact only has intentions to help warn people beforehand so they can escape disaster. who else could i even give this to. it literally gets wings in its mega form LOOOOK AT ME
okay so anyways Absol are pokemon which are frequently abused bc of superstition so it isn't a stretch to say one would have eventually found its way to fablehaven daycare as a rescue. this is still in the early days of Kendra and Seth being there to help out so obvs they wouldn't be allowed to handle this one bc of the dark typing and its general bad rep. do you think seth gaf though he does NOT his ass would absolutely sneak out at night to the enclosure they kept absol at and try to make friends with it. the secret lasts about a week (Kendra snitches) but grandparents end up letting him actually catch absol bc they bonded. aw
(rest of the) Team!
Meowth: first pokemon, a gift from his parents! Seth isn't much interested in it bc it's so very normal and boring and not very Cool until he finds out this cat can basically sniff out shiny things (coins & jewels included) and it quickly becomes a Get Rich scheme. which only works on paper for about 2 minutes until he realizes the meowth will absolutely NOT allow anyone (owner or otherwise) to get their hands on its loot. it kind of becomes a srungly family pet though like in a drowned ugly rat kind of way so its still loved regardless. isn't much used in battles so it hasn't quite had the chance to evolve.
Spiritomb: sorry but how can you tempt a child mentioning there's a antique keystone that contains a cool ghost pokemon inside of it and expect him to not do anything about it like thats on YOU. anyhow Seth frees the spiritomb out of the odd keystone and finds out its just a little guy that got locked away for playing too many pranks. come on there's not even a good reasoning to take it away from him
Braviary: caught as a rufflet! pokedex entry from black & white 2→ "It stands up to massive opponents, not out of courage, but out of recklessness. But that is how it gets stronger." it probably tried to pick a fight with Hugo the Golurk and Seth thought it was the funniest thing ever and immediately caught it.
Golurk (Hugo): actually more attached to the fablehaven daycare than anything; it has its orders to protect the people and pokemon inside of the property. still Seth bonds with it more than anyone else and maybe actually brings the guy outside so it can see the world. cuties
Sylveon: okay now bear with me. LISTEN! Seth wouldn't have used any evolution stones on his (graduation gift) eevee bc he was hoping for a high friendship evolution, either espeon or umbreon. well. can you even imagine the look on his face when the evolution process finished and the first thing he saw was a pink ribbon. oh hed lose it. anyways sylveon are actually very combative pokemon — it lures foes in with the cute face and then pounces. they go out of their way to actively fight dragon pokemon likeee can you see the vision. Seth feels immediately better abt the whole thing when sylveon whoops a whole ass hydreigon with one singular Moonblast.
oh i had a Time making this. i love you pokemon au i really do. ill probably do either ronodin or bracken next
#fablehaven#seth sorenson#fablehaven x pokemon#pokemon au#dragonwatch#my art#my au#kendra sorenson#do you know how hard it was to resist giving him 2 gogoats named newel & doren. it was TOUGH#fhdw

BW IV : The Emperor (Upright)
Hilbert snaps awake not too long after Bianca does, coughing out a dry and sour powder from his throat.
The last thing he remembered before losing his consciousness was making his way into the Dreamyard with Bianca- and witnessing those hooded guys from Accumula kicking a poor Munna.
To his relief, both Bianca and Munna seemed to be okay, being tended to by-
“Oh, you’re awake!”
A lady in a labcoat chirps, taking off her respirator. Her professional attire clashed with the delicate flower resting on her head- a flower that resembled the pattern of the Pokemon that Bianca was tending to.
“Good, good, I came in just in time after all. Too much Dream Mist is quite dangerous, you know! Care to tell me how that little one did all of that all by itself?”
Bianca cradles the Munna in her arms, having soothed it enough and lulled it to a sleep. “Um, those guys up there-”
“The ones with the oven mitts?”
“Er, yes. We saw them kicking this little darling,” She strokes the smooth surface of the pink creature. “Hilbert and I battled them to get them to knock it off, but they kicked it harder to get it to spit out the pink stuff, and a bigger one came in and-”
“A bigger one? A Musharna out in the wild! Now that’s something!”
Hilbert holds onto his throbbing head, Tepig’s wet snout pressed against the back of his palm. “Sorry, who are you, miss?”
“Oh, how rude of me!"
She stands to her feet, casting her shadow over the two children; though her face is mad with excitement, she does not exude an air of malice.
"I’m Fennel Dreamer, an acquaintance of your beloved Professor Juniper!”
Her glasses shine under the little bit of sunlight seeping through the cracks of the ceiling.
Neither Hilbert or Bianca seem to react to her introduction, besides glancing at one another skeptically.
“Oh, I don’t expect you kids to remember me, but I’ve taken care of you a couple of times! To see you out on your own journey at long last-”
“Um, sorry to interrupt, Miss Dreamer-”
"Oh, just call me Auntie Fennel!"
"Auntie Fennel, um, right," Bianca meekly interjects with a raised palm. “But maybe we should bring this, ah, Munna to a Pokemon Center? It’s probably hurt..”
“Not to mention,” Hilbert thumps against his own chest, letting out coughs on his own. “I’m not sure that Dream Mist stuff is helping our case too,”
To their relief, it doesn't seem to dampen her spirits at all- they would badger Professor Juniper just what kind of people she used to take them to.
“Oh, but of course, but of course! Swoobat is done with her job, I think. For the Dream Mist though, while I am an expert in the stuff,”
She adjusts her glasses.
“I think it’s best if we have you kids checked out by the league doctor! I’ll give him a call, and he’ll come here in lickety split!”
"The.. league doctor?"
"Right! A normal Pokemon Center might do, but," Her little smile grows wider. "Oh, you kids are just so so special, you know? The league won't mind at all! Plus, he's an expert in a lot of things!"
“We should probably tell Cheren too,” Bianca murmurs to Hilbert as Fennel continues to sing this doctor praises. “He’s probably looking for us.”
At the mention of his name, Hilbert’s worried look melts into a fond smile. “Yeah.”
...
Cheren arrives at the Pokemon Center- he had intended to challenge for his badge after he was done reading at the trainer's school, but he had been told by Cilan that they were still in the process of cleaning up Hilbert's mess.
Guess Beebee and I aren't the only messy ones, huh?
Though he planned to go to the Dreamyard himself, he was stopped by a little girl in massive glasses- a pair bigger than his, and she had told him a situation had gone down involving "fellas in oven mitts", and that entering the Dreamyard was off-limits.
His mind immediately went to the strange crowd at Accumula, and the capped man that had approached him.
But, before his mind could wander, Bianca had given him a call and summoned him to the Pokemon Center.
When he enters, the first thing he sees are his childhood friends by the table. Two adults in labcoats were tending to their injuries while a newcomer- a Munna, floated by Bianca's side.
Immediately, he flared with worry. "What happened?!"
"Oh, Cheri, you're here!" Bianca chirps. "Hey, so guess what! Hilloo and I went to the Dreamyard to train and-"
"I heard," He crouches slightly- neither of them seemed to be injured physically. "What happened there?!"
"Those weirdos from Accumula were kicking around this little Munna," Hilbert scowls. He squeaks a little when one of the adults- one with blonde hair, inflates the cuff around his arm. "Ow, ow, ow-"
"There don't seem to be any issues with them, Fennel."
"Oh wow, really? Thanks, Nikolai!"
"It's- yes, sure, whatever-"
Cheren snaps his attention to the two adults. For a moment, he forgot they were strangers- never mind that they were probably Pokemon Center staff, they had to be careful.
"I'm sorry, who are you?"
His snippish tone isn't noticed- or if it was, they merely ignored it. The lady with the flower beams at the sight of him, crouching and cooing. "Oh, there you are! I remembered there were three of you! Cheri, right?"
He glances at Hilbert, who gives him a sheepish smile.
Then he glances at Bianca, who mouths the name "Juniper".
An old friend of the professor's then.
"It's Cheren," He corrects. "You are?"
"Auntie Fennel, dear! Oh, I remember you so well, you were the little dear who would hide behind Bianca! Aw, yes, it's all coming back to me now! The three of you would run around in my lab, play with the Pokemon, sneak into the pods-"
"The what-?"
"Fennel," The other one sighs. "Contain your excitement. I'm sure this is something that you could discuss with them in their free time- they are trainers after all."
Someone sensible- and sane, Cheren thought. Finally, an adult beyond their little town of Nuvema that was fairly normal.
"Oh, don't be like that, Nikolai! You met them too, haven't you?"
Three pairs of eyes focused on the other doctor in the room.
With an exasperated sigh, he adjusts the collar of his labcoat. "I suppose. Though I've only met them once, if I recall correctly. Right, introductions are in order then,"
He offers a hand to Cheren.
"My name is Doctor Colress. I'm the league's doctor."
Cheren takes his hand- slightly flinching from how unusually cold it was.
"It's a pleasure to meet you."

It was a sight to see, that was certain. The scattering of Pokémon, the panic of the beach going tourists, the way the waves crashed and flowed with the form of the massive Pokémon that breached from the waves. It was majestic, in a mildly terrifying way.
Thus is why so many screamed, why so many ran and panicked. People crying out thinking they were 'next' and not even stopping to think that maybe, perhaps.. it was just a hungry Pokémon. Which is all Altra saw. A large Pokémon, on the hunt for it's meal.
It was no different than watching a flock of Pidgey swoop down upon gatherings of Caterpie and Kakuna in Kanto, or watching a lone Linoone hunt and stalk it's prey through the forest.
This was just on a much larger scale, for a much.. much larger Pokémon.
All of his quiet musing as he watched the obsidian scaled Pokémon was interrupted by a whistle from his feet. Desmond, looking on with wide eyes.
'Well, I guess that's whatcha caught in the waves. One hell of a way ta' eat eh, lad? Imagine if my mouth was that big.. HA!' At least the tiny terror found his own humor in the subject. After all, why should he be scared? He wasn't a Wishiwashi! Sure he was small, but he stood safely on the shore and there didn't seem to be any outright aggressive body language from the massive Pokemon.
So it was fine, right?
"If your mouth was that big, we wouldn't be able to pick enough berries to survive an hour." Altra sighed, only briefly glancing down to his partner before he looked back toward the Pokémon. Mostly in awe at how it looked.
Even on the beach line near the trees, several Pikipeck muttered and chattered amongst themselves at the display. Though were hardly bothered by the distressed cries of the Wingull overhead. They were always so loud.. So quick to sound an alarm.
As the beach goers vanished, it left little else but a few stray Wishiwashi, and now Altra and his Zigzagoon standing in lone solidarity.
"Then again if you could hunt mass amounts of food like that, we might not have to forage so much." Altra smirked a small bit before he went back to watching the large Pokémon.
'Oi! I'm... gettin'... there...' A huff, Desmond's fur would bristle if it wasn't for the fact he was soaked with sea water.
"It's just a joke Des..." Altra chuckled, and while it normally wasn't a good idea to get closer to a.. possibly wild(?) Pokémon, Altra couldn't help but be curious to get a bit of a closer look.
'Eh? Lad? Oi, you sure that's a good idea?!' The Zigzagoon bounded after his trainer in the sand as Altra would move a bit closer to get a better view of the scaly leviathan looking Pokemon.
"I just want to see it a bit closer. It doesn't look aggressive, doesn't sound angry either." A lone teenager, unbothered by the screams of horror from beach goers. What was there to be scared of? He'd approached strong, even scary Pokémon before if they weren't outright aggressive.
Plus, if they didn't want him to get closer, they could always just tell him to back away. And he'd listen.
He was good at that, at least.
The waters of Alola were pristine, pure, teeming with life. Flocks of Wingull soared over the surf as Tentacool and Tentacruel were pushed along by the breeze. Beneath the surface fish Pokémon of all manner swam and frolicked amongst the vibrant coral and cheerful Corsola, Luvdisc flitting in and out from between the coral branches. A small school of Finneon, led by a single Lumineon, swam passively as dapples of sunlight made their fins shimmer. A Bruxish and a Toxapex were locked in a fearsome battle, while a gathering of Wimpod spectated the brutal conflict. A pair of Shellos crawled by, completely unaware (or perhaps outright ignoring) the battle. A vast school of Wishiwashi passed overhead, blocking out the sulight.
The peace was dashed in a moment's notice. The Wingull screamed in alarm and flew away. The Tentacool and Tentacruel dove. The Corsola waddled awkwardly away. The Luvdisc fled deeper into the coral. The Finneon and Lumineon dove for the depths. The feuding Bruxish and Toxapex declared a sudden ceasefire and escaped. The Wimpod scattered.
The Shellos... still did not care.
A great splash erupted from the ocean's surface like a great geyser, countless Wishiwashi thrown high into the air. They fell back to the sea with the salty waters like rain, and they swiftly regathered into their mighty School Form! The combined cries of many became a single, bellowing roar, heard from deep beneath the waves and all the way to the sandy shores. Another splash; a great, black tail lunging from the surf and crashing down again! More Wishiwashi were sent flying, dazed!
An sky-shattering crack of dark lightning tore through the air, and all fell silent.
Time was as if slowed down, seconds feeling like hours. Eventually the waves washed countless Wishiwashi to the beach; some were stunned, many more were certainly deceased. Still as corpses they were, some twitching, and all of them crackling with black-and-blue sparks. Slowly, surely, people began to gather to investigate what the commotion was.
A great shadow began to approach.
Great spires of glowing, blue jade cut through the waters like Sharpedo fins.
The people began to murmur amongst themselves, their worry palpable.
A sudden scream became two, became three, became many, as a gargantuan monstrosity reared its head from the seas. It roared a bellowing roar, shaking the earth and sundering the air, instantly scattering the people that gathered! The massive beast reared back, black lightning tinged with blue dancing across its obsidian scales, and then...!
... It did nothing.
Wani looked between the fleeing people, clearly confused, her maw filled to the brim with fresh fish (the Wishiwashi from before). Why were these good folks running away? She loved people! Did they not want to share this bountiful catch with her? She could do nothing but grunt, watching the last terrified onlooker trip over their feet and loose sands in an admittedly valiant attempt to get away.
So be it.
The Abyssal Lagiacrus proceeded to raise her head and lean backwards, opening her throat to gulp down this hearty mouthful of fresh seafood. Then she lowered her head, her neck snaking in a sweeping motion to effectively hover up the remaining Wishiwashi that did not recover fast enough to flop back into the sea. Wani would have dragged her tongue across her teeth if she had one, clearly satisfied, a single clawed paw moving to scratch her scaly chest.
She was so satisfied, in fact, that she did not even notice the young boy(?) and his Pokémon, none of which ran away from her quite frankly horrific entrance.

hello! i'd like to say, before anything, that i love the idea for this blog! it's so good, and very well put-together! thank you for serving us these villains~ now, for my request, would you be able to do giovanni, maxie, cyrus, and rose reacting to a patron who's kind but shy, and she crushes on them but doesn't know how they feel about her until they let her know, personally (・ω<)☆ maybe she innocently teases them and doesn't realize the effect it has on them? (cont'd.)
//Thank you so much for the kind words! (and please forgive me for the late response--) I honestly didn't think anyone would like the theme of this imagine blog so it means a lot!
I hope you don't mind me giving a more general outline of how each of them would react? Oh, but please, feel free to send another ask if you want a more detailed scenario for a specific villain!
Anyways, the scenario's under the cut!
☆ ~('▽^人)
Giovanni
The patron was shy. Inexperienced. As their chosen host, he made it a point to ensure their satisfaction with every visit. Giovanni was a businessman first after all, and he wasn't about to let a potential regular get away.
He had to admit, their company was a rather refreshing change of pace from the more...desirous clients he normally attended to though it was definitely a pleasant surprise to see that the soft-spoken guest had quite the cheeky streak to them with their teasing.
It was practically a routine from then on; he knew exactly how they liked their drink prepared, knew just when they would arrive and which buttons to push.
Ruthless, he may be, but he wasn't at all oblivious to their adoring gaze, nor the newfound fondness he had for his meek little patron.
By the time they had made their tenth visit, Giovanni had already picked up on their every quirk and adjusted his mannerisms accordingly, eager to please them just as much as he knew they wanted to do the same for him.
This was, of course, all done in the hopes of acquiring another loyal client.
...Right?
Maxie
The redheaded man had a very "by the books" approach to serving his patrons, and was methodical to a fault. Despite the refined image he displays with each movement, it all came tumbling down as soon as he so much as stumbles or is caught off guard; his cheeks flushed and glasses left crooked in the process.
Much to the delight of his admirers and in particular, a familiar face situated at the farthest corner of the parlour who, to his dismay, had a barely restrained fit over the adorable sight of him in such an...undignified state.
It was only when Maxie loomed over them when the poor thing turned as white as an altaria's plumage and averted their gaze, and when he took their order? Oh, they looked just about ready to faint!
Suddenly, it dawned on him. 'Weren't they the one who kept glancing my way these past few weeks? The one who'd leave lava cookies in my study when they thought I wouldn't notice?'
The smirk he didn't know he had on widened, and Maxie gave them a courteous bow before offering them a wrapped treat he had fished out of his vest's breast-pocket.
"Would you care for a lava cookie, my dear? I'm especially fond of this kind in particular".
Cyrus
Despite his duties, the twenty-seven year old made it a point to avoid the more populated areas of the castle; one would have better chances of finding a shiny pokemon in the wild than encountering him in the parlour or most places within the establishment.
However, make no mistake, whatever is asked of him, Cyrus would do so exceptionally well. There was a reason behind his reputation as "a rewarding catch" for anyone that earns his favour, a notion not lost on those vying for his "affections" and in particular, a certain patron who had taken it upon themselves to stay close to him in spite of their more-than-apparent hesitation in doing so.
It was brushed off as a mere coincidence at first, but the more he caught them peering at him sheepishly from their seat, the more he suspected their "run-ins" to be something deliberate. It certainly wasn't long before their persistence finally rewarded them and the galactic leader found himself serving them kindly when asked.
Most encounters were spent in the silence and subtle enjoyment of each others' company while some, though very few and far in between, were more...meaningful. Vulnerable. Unmistakably Intimate.
The two hardly spoke beyond an order or so, and though it started rather off-beat, the seemingly timid patron would soon find their voice and amid their innocuous jests and tales, begin confiding in him with a sincerity that was certainly unseen by many.
And Cyrus, knowing of their...feelings for him but in contrite refusal to accept his own, could only allow himself to listen and offer little more than the slight brush of his admittedly cold hand over theirs; an oddly comforting respite in the otherwise poignant void they were enveloped in.
Rose
Given his alter ego as the chairman of the Galar region's league and the president of one of the world's leading business conglomerates, it would be safe to assume that Rose is more or less a natural when it comes to addressing guests; the man was a known crowd-pleaser after all and if footage of his presentations are to be believed, he was probably good at captivating them too—
So it comes as an honest surprise when even he is left at a loss for words when he finds one of his more frequent patrons offering him a small token of appreciation.
He stammers for a moment and almost recklessly looks to the side as if to ask for advice from his ever-loyal assistant only to quickly turn back to them once more upon realizing Oleana's absence and accepting the gift as graciously as he could muster without any further stumbling; a response that earned a soft giggle from the usually reserved patron.
If at first his presence (and the elite status he carried with it) was overwhelming, the encounter they shared that day definitely allowed for a less intimidating impression of the host, and they would gradually call for him more and more with each visit.
Why, they had no idea just how much they had endeared themselves to him at that point, did they?
Which made their reaction that much sweeter once it was Rose's turn to thank them for their patronage with a token of his own admiration for them.

OK spoke to my sister about this and we added more before I go to sleep. She's playing as Serena, who is immensely unsure of why everyone insists on her saving their asses, but is trying her best despite this unwavering feeling that she isn't cut out for the job. Catching a ryhorn and feeling this intense homesickness. Gossiping with Arezu and Anthe, helping them expand their wares and teaching them to groom pokemon.
Way more characters under cut (May, Drew again, Anabel, Misty, briefly Goh and Gary, Harley, brief Brock, and a bonus segment) since this is SO fun to write out and think about! ADD YOUR OWN THIS IS SO FUN GUYS. @salon-maiden-anabel somewhat inspired by your Harley Legends Arceus AU which brings me much joy. Also I isekai the 'bel.
May, walking around Jubilife with a Beautifly on her head. Beni is wary of the outsider but damn it, she's his best customer and he's determined to give her a good meal even if she's suspicious. Her word-of-mouth advertising has been a boon of business for him. May picking up a lost satchel with the name Max on it (one of the default satchels) and wondering... whoever this Max is, she hopes to Arceus above that he's safe. Somewhere. May feeling the most at home in the warmer climate of Cobalt Coastlands and despising the unfamiliar icy wastelands of Alabaster Icelands.
Anabel (battle frontier, my blorbo-in-law) hearing all the wild pokemon and being able to help the townspeople communicate. ("So, this Bidoof literally just wants to chill and would appreciate not being shooed with a broom. Beaugene wishes you'd stop placing unrealistic expectations on his evolution, Dustox is beautiful too. Also, Mr. Mime has a very filthy mouth and cusses at people coming into town that he dislikes.")
Misty, sitting alone on Prelude beach every evening. Walking along the seaside in Cobalt Coastlands, tossing food to the gathered fish pokemon that seem particularly fond of her. Petting Basculegion like a puppy, though she doesn't much need his help to swim around. Teaching the townspeople to swim because goddamn y'all REALLY cannot swim for more than one second, huh? (telling them "I KNOW it's cold in the water but this is a vital survival skill!")
Drew, horrifying the locals with his... futuristic sense of fashion. (in my current file, he has a red bandana to go terribly with his purple top and teal pants. I say he got isekai'd while sewing it back up for May after Skitty got to it. Also it covers the brown hair until I unlock the green hair option lol). Truth be told he'd rather not be getting dragged into all of this, but it's worth it if he can spite Melli. He briefly sees May in Irida, in how they look. Irida then goes on her ramble about responsibility and caution and that familiarity goes out the window.
Brock, handling his responsibilities incredibly and suprisingly well in between fruitless wooing efforts of the local ladies.
Harley, spiderman pointing meme with Melli. Seeing the Miss Fortunes and going off on them before beating them ("First off, ya basic. Second, that face paint? Third, those names make you sound like a d-list y2k girl band-" so on and so forth).
Goh, being told by Arceus to catch all pokemon and KNOWING DEEP DOWN THIS IS HIS MOMENT. THIS IS IT.
Gary and Laventon being BEST FRIENDS over the pokedex and research. They have tea and mochi on mondays.
The funniest option I could think of... everyone getting zapped into Hisui at once. Cyllene taking one look at the gaggle of teens outside her door and knowing she is NOT paid enough for this shit. Laventon loving all the new help he's gotten. Harley and Melli ganging up on May and Drew. Each of them finding connections with the different clans (May, Misty and Ash vibing with Adaman's fast paced, breezy attitude whereas Brock, Drew, Dawn, Serena etc are more drawn to Irida's more careful approach, though Dawn oculd go either way). Serena BEGGING Anthe to not sell Drew anything purple or aqua and to only supply normal colors when he shops. Everyone taking on different requests that best suit their skillset. Working together to get back home before realizing they have a home here, too.
Bonus 2: Anabel getting yeeted into the water by the writers except it's freezing cold this time.
Legends Arceus is such a good game if you try to play it from a character's POV. I personally do it with most pokemon games because it's just a thing I've done since I was like seven I think BUT it just adds FLAVOR. Blorboify your experience.
Like. OK. Say you play as Akari but HC her as Dawn being isekai'd, partial memory wipe maybe if that's your jam. Does she choose Oshawott because it reminds her of Piplup at home, wherever home may be? Does she hear about Almighty Sinnoh and vaguely recall something about adventures with friends, something so close that she just can't quite grasp onto? Does she feel this... unease around Cyllene, even though she knows Cyllene has done nothing but be helpful and stand up for her so far?
Currently in my playthrough, Playing as Drew and having this immense adverse gut reaction to Melli? Frowning at Akari, knowing she seems familiar from... somewhere. Seeing Irida's red headbandy thing and bobbed hair, this jolt of familiarity that he feels like he should know like the back of his hand? Picking wildflowers in Cobalt Coastlands, trying to grasp onto fleeting memories of flowers and conversations on far-off beaches?
A funnier option: Playing as Ash, being surrounded by people you vaguely swear you know one way or another but having to deal with the fact that to them you're just some guy that fell out of the sky?
Possibly the funniest: Playing as Iris/Cilan/whoever in Unova and seeing Ingo like HEY WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING HERE
